Had to knock it down 1 star; went for an encore for the doner meat on a Sunday. Although it was freshly sliced, meat was flavorless, and oddly, got cold on the plate immediately after it was served. (Even the traditionally piping hot Iskender.) It would help if they served on those hot copper plated that they do in Turkey to keep it warm. The owner is super sweet and so kind! He really wanted us to have a great experience Everything is made fresh in‑house daily, and you can taste the care in every bite. We enjoyed Lahmajun with its perfectly crisp edges and savory spiced topping, Iskender Kebab drenched in rich tomato‑butter sauce over fluffy bread, and a mezze spread that was as colorful as it was delicious, smoky eggplant, and tangy yogurt dips that paired beautifully with warm bread. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff treat you like family. The yogurt drink is soooooo interesting and so yummy; pro tip: add salt to really bring the flavors out! I visited Doner Corner with my parents on a Friday evening, we ordered multiple things given the delicious options on the menu! Our favorites were Iskender Kebab, kush bashi ( meat and cheese) pide and of course lahmacun. Ranging from the amazing entrees to dessert options like kunefe, you truly get a taste of Turkey's best of the best. Even the restaurant owner was so kind and went out of his way to make sure we had an amazing time, I can guarantee this place will not disappoint. Came here for dinner with my partner before a flight. He ordered the iskender kebap and I ordered some falafel--I wasn't wanting a full meal before boarding the plane. For some reason, they were already out of falafel/were not making it anymore... It was only 6:30 PM or so. Strange. I asked for a refund and the manager agreed, though the process was more involved than I thought it would be. Thoughts: My partner enjoyed the iskender, which was slices of shawarma meat with yogurt, tomato sauce, on top of a bed of pita. The portion was quite large, but he managed to finish all of it. With tip, it was around $28-30 dollars, which was a bit pricy for my standards. Nevertheless, I will give them another chance when I am craving shawarma and lamacun as it seems like the business is pretty new. read more

What a complete mess. I'm not sure, but it seemed like the owner was sitting with three other guys, one of whom was literally vaping inside the restaurant. Someone ordered baklava, and the owner came out with two big trays, placed them right in front of me while I was sitting at the bar, and started picking pieces from the tray to put in a to-go box--without even acknowledging me with a "hi" or "sorry." After he finished, he took one tray and just left the other sitting in front of me for five minutes. Not only was this rude and disrespectful to customers, but it's also completely unsanitary to leave food openly exposed like that. To make things worse, the same guy was pouring soup into cups while his shirt was literally dipping into one of them. They seem to have zero restaurant experience and are extremely unorganized. I ordered a doner wrap that came with fries, but no utensils, no napkins, and no sauce were offered. The wrap itself was mostly just bread with plain meat, raw onion, one slice of tomato, and no sauce or anything else. Nothing against them, but I hope they read this review and improve. read more

There's not many places to get turkish food in SoCal. They're scattered here and there. Certainly hard to find ones with iskender. I was super excited to try this place since the bf's family talked highly of it. Portions are huge. Iskender was amazing!!!!! My 4 favorite things: bread, yogurt, tomato, and meat. Kunefe was bomb! See the cheese pull on that bad boy. Their tea was incredible. Nothing better than Turkish tea. The restaurant is clean and restrooms are clean and have a bidet just like Turkey!!! I've never had to add so much salt and chili pepper, just to get a bit of flavor in every bite. I respect that Turks are proud to be nationalists, (proud to eat no sauce with their Döner meat ) but this approach doesn't really work in the U.S. Americans expect sauces and a balance of flavor, if they chose to. It's honestly irrelevant to most Americans how Turks like to eat their Döner sandwich in Turkey. Funny is that the same Turks who proudly insist ordering their Döner sandwiches with no sauce in Turkey, in Germany order their sandwich with hot sauce and extra Zaziki sauce. I grew up with Turks in germany. Best friends are Turks. I am a Persian/German Döner kebab specialist from Germany, I love Döner, but honestly no disrespect, this was the driest Turkish Döner sandwich I've ever had. At least in Turkey they put some pickles, tomatoes and onions in their Döner sandwich, here absolutely nothing. (See picture) Luckily, I asked for some sauce, which finally added a bit of taste to my sandwich. If you want your Döner to really succeed here, sell it the way the Turks sell it in Germany, with sauce and fresh salad. i tried this place on saturday 4/18/2026. The place is clean and staff are good. The issue is the price and the amount of food you get. The doner kabab itself WAS NOT very flavorful, unfortunately. I got the 270g portion with french fries. To be very honest the portion did not look like 270g meat plate with maybe 10 pieces of medium size french fries. I paid $35 including tax and still came out kind of hungry. NOT sure if the correct weight of the meat that was given to me was the amount they claim to be giving and what is on the menu board. Having been to turkey many times because of family who reside in the country, I can confidently say this is as close, if not, spot on to the quality of doner which is made constantly in Turkey. The food was phenomenal, the service was a little slower just because it was a packed restaurant, which is a good problem to have. It was very filling; I got the diner plate 1.5 which is more or less just extra meat, but it was phenomenal. There isn't a crazy amount of seating, but it's a comfortable space inside. Everything is modern and kept well. You can see, and smell, the food being prepped and made very easily. Overall, I will hundred percent be going back and enjoying more food. read more

So, I'm not sure how to rate this place because this is the first time I've had doner at all. I ordered takeout and I didn't get to eat until an hour after I picked up the food (for personal reasons, nothing to do with the restaurant). However, the meat on the doner sandwich was amazing. I would definitely order the meat alone. The bread was good too. The sandwich was pretty bare bones which I'm not used to. There was no sauce, just the meat and onions. It was still delicious though. I'll definitely have to come back and try a saucier dish and I'll have to eat inside where I can ask more questions. It was delicious though, so the stars are all for the taste. read more
