Between 3-4 stars for me One point in favor is that portion sizes are HUGE and very affordable. I got a vermicelli curry soup that was huge and could feed me for 2-3 meals easily. I do think this curry noodle soup needed salt and chili oil - I asked if they had any chili oil or flakes or spice and they gave me a bowl filled with miscellaneous packets from other restaurants lol; there were soy sauce packets, mcdonald's ketchup packets, more ketchup LOL - I found one sriracha and used that. The soup itself was good though after that and was super generous w vegan meat. All soups 14 dollars Lunch combo is 13.50 and also a generous takeout box with 1 carb and 3 entrees. I didn't get this but I tried the pork belly which I didn't love but my partner liked it so overall good value ig. This place is cash only, ambiance is very fast food small shop vibe. Our group of 8 were the only people sitting in the shop. There were not that many tables probably max capacity of 16 people seated. Service was nice! I've lived within walking distance of this place for the first two decades of my life and like many Asians, I was used as child slave labor in restaurants and at the Flea Market next door lol. I was headed to another tofu spot but then drove past dong phuong so decided to head in. They have a great selection of tasty cooked vegetarian dishes to order. They sell them in different sizes, so I got 2 of the small portion tofu to go. I dont remember which ones I ordered but it was all very yummy. They also have a good selection of soy milk and vegetarian spring rolls. The service was really friendly and I would definitely come back to try more of their tofu. read more

Cash only. Only thing I will say is that I like the service at their other location better. My family and I have been coming for many, many years. Before I had Gavin! It was the day before I was due to fly out, Gavin and I have this thing called, "No meat Tuesdays" so I typically get $10 worth of their fried tofu (plain, pepper, mushroom) at their McKee location. Just make some rice, add soy sauce, and Sriracha! For Gavin minus the Sriracha. I asked Gavin a few times if he still wants to do it but he insist on continuing even if I won't be home. I am happy places like this exist. I don't have to put effort into the kitchen during our no meat days. To clarify, we follow the lunar calendar. If there is a no meat day that week then we don't do Tuesday but if we don't have then we do it. Like today. It's our no meat day so both of us are following it, instead of our Tuesday ritual. Came here for the first time and tried the "combination" of ready made food in the display. You get a base of rice or noodles plus a choice of 2 other items. We got noodles, green beans-carrots, & lemongrass fried tofu. Everything was tasty. I loved that the green beans were blanched, so they still had their vibrant colour and great crunch. Not soggy at all. The lemongrass tofu had a yummy sauce and great flavour. The noodles were tasty as well - was a mix of noodles, cabbage, black fungus, carrots, greens. It's time for an update on this chain vegetarian place. Quality and service has gone way down since I've been here before COVID. Prices have gone way up for the smaller portions you get. Shrinkflation is no joke and can visibly see it. The fried mushroom tofu used to be huge chunks: they used to be like the size of 1 tofu block cut into four. Back then it was like 5 cube chunks for $1. Now those cubes turned to like slivers. Getting like around 1/8 (might be smaller) of a block of tofu. Not only that but 3 pieces for $1! The containers are noticeably smaller too and prices went up like crazy. You're better going to the vegetarian restaurants and order to go for even better portion/price and taste. Such a sad thing to see a promising takeout vegetarian place to stoop down to. Also, unlike normal take out service places, this place stopped replenishing their food trays. So if you come later (heck by lunch time they start running out), don't expect them to reload the trays. Also most of the stuff you see on the menu... they won't make it like "salted fish fried rice" and such and would say that what you see available is what they only have left. Same concept applies to the one on McKee rd. I'm taking my money elsewhere to places like Di Lac restaurant and order takeout from there. Fresher replenishment as well as food made to order. Won't be surprised if the chain gets shut down in the near future. Do better. read more

However when I wants to confirm get the receipt after pay cash for the owner and I got scolded and he stated loudly : Do you think I over charge you ? My only regret is that I did not get a giant bag full of fried tofu. My second is that I didn't get another bag full of egg rolls. The lady behind the counter was really nice. She clearly saw I was very confused so she suggested some items to me and explained what others were. The cooked savory food is so bomb seriously. My best friend is Vietnamese and decided to take me here in honor of new years! Boy was I happily surprised by the experience. I really like their noodle soup dishes, like their pho and bun bo hue, but the flavor of their bun mam (rice noodles in preserved "fish" soup) is literally out of this world. The depth of flavor they achieved with this dish is mind-boggling because it's SO good. You wouldn't believe the soup is vegetarian. It's magic. Compared to other Vietnamese vegetarian spots, I really enjoy this one. There was this one day when someone brought tofu home for dinner. There was a variety such as Mushroom, Lemon, and Pepper flavor tofu. I could not stop snacking on em! They were delicious and packed with flavor, dipping sauce is completely unnecessary. I was able to track down the tofu to its source. Each time I get a chance I stop by to grab a catering tray for $10 cash. I believe they sold the tofu for 4 or 5pcs/ $1. The price is unbeatable. Anyways, y'all gots to come check this place out!
