Stopped here with my husband for lunch and we both had the 2 slice + drink lunch special. He got pepperoni and I had pepperoni and sausage. The slices were enormous and so tasty! The crust was thin and chewy yet crispy, MMM so good!!! The ranch is worth the add-on cost so get that if you go - it's perfect ranch dressing. Returned to Don's for pizza night. I was in the mood for wings! I was somewhat disappointed to see that the wing selection was extremely limited. The only wing offerings that I saw were Buffalo. I am not a real fan of these. I was hoping for something sweet like Teriyaki. I tried the Buffalo anyway. I got my go-to supreme pizza and this time tries the chicken, bacon, ranch pizza. The supreme was as good as always and the chicken, bacon, ranch had a lot of cheese, maybe too much! none of the toppings were visible. Still it was a pretty good pizza pie. The wings, for me were meh. I would sure enjoy options!!! Still, Don's is a good candidate for my regular pizza night rotation. read more

This pizza is phenomenal! Great undercarriage, minimal flop, but typical with New York style pizza. Toppings were amazing. Generous amount of cheese, generous amount of sauce, and a great tasting crust. Nice crispy and not heavy. The fact that these guys cook and deck ovens tell me that they know what it takes to make a good pie. The one thing that turns me off the most when I walk into a pizzeria is when they are using a conveyor oven to make their pizzas. Really hard to get a good crust out of a conveyor oven. That, and it takes a certain skill to be able to cook pizzas in a deck oven. The constant rotating of the pizza to make sure that the crust crisps up as it should. All in all just phenomenal pizza. You will not be disappointed after trying Don's. Pricing is amazing. Compared to other pizzerias in the surrounding areas. These guys are probably around 10 to 17% cheaper. My boyfriend said, "you know it's good when you and I haven't used the Parmesan or chili flakes." I've never heard anything more true. This place is SO GOOD. We had the 16inch pizza and 20 wings and it was more than worth every penny. I am not a huge fan of pizza in general but this place, I will be coming back next time I'm in the area. I am a self proclaimed pizza snob- and this pizza is GOOD!! Has a well proportioned sauce to crust ratio- plentiful toppings and the right crisp to the crust. Absolutely delicious. We dined in- nice seating area. Self serve sodas- so bottomless liquid. And the drinks are of good quality. Not watered down sodas like you run into at so many establishments. So far I have only had the lunch special slices and the calzone, but let me tell you, the calzone is up there with Mellow Mushrooms. The family had a craving for pizza the other day and I wasn't up to driving to pick it up. With limited "real" (aka not Pizza Hut, Little Caesars, or Domino's) pizza choices that deliver near me, I found Don's in the Postmates app. I went with a classic NY style extra large with pepperoni. It was greasy in a way that only pizza could be. Right off the top of my head, it looks like a solid choice if you had a hangover. The cheese was melty and delicious and I liked the sweetness in the tomato sauce. The pepperoni was more soft than crispy - I prefer a little char - but there were no complaints from the family. The crust wasn't bad, but more crispy and rigid than we like, so the dogs got lucky with the scraps. For a NY style, the slices should be large and foldable - but ours were an assortment of sizes (not evenly cut). The larger slices folded nicely and felt like a true NY pizza. Overall, it's a solid 3.5 star pie. I also ordered a side of garlic knots - this was disappointment in a box. Nearly no garlic flavor, and they were a little dry inside. Maybe they could be improved if they were stuffed with cheese? Or if they were thoroughly brushed with the garlicky butter mixture that I could faintly taste? I don't know, but I would skip them - I've had better ones from Dominos. Those were a 2 star item at best. I finished off with a slice of cheesecake. Clearly not homemade as it was a little frozen, but it's about what I expected. I added some raspberries at home and it was still a good slice of cheesecake. The family enjoyed the pizza and I would order from here again. read more

The whole pizza itself is really delicious from the crust to the marinara sauce. The wings were a bit crispy and needed more sauce to it. I got the original flavor and it was really good. I'm picky about my pizza and wings. I love a filling thin crusted pizza. While I've only been to NYC once, I ate at 7 different pizza joints and Dons gives me all the NYC pizza vibez. The pricing is reasonable, the 1 large cheese pizza and 20 wings for $25 special is my go to. Hot wing sauce is the perfect blend of spice- I always request they fry my wings hard and they're always perfect. Interactions with the staff are always pleasant. I love the large slices. read more

After being in the car for 10 hours we arrived at our hotel in Glendale. After checking around for pizza places, we finally found Don's NY Pizza. We ordered the special of a 16" pizza and 20 wings for $22.95. We also added sausage to the pizza. This was WAY too much food for 2 adults and 3 children. The pizza is good. The slices are large and thin which makes them perfect for folding. The cheese is gooey and greasy and delicious. We also ordered three side salads ($3). The salad comes with lettuce, red onions, cucumber, tomatoes and olives. The wings are good. We ordered half mild half spicy. There is a lot of meat on the wings and the sauce is tasty. But the total came out to $41.40....so, I don't know how that happened. Unless it cost $6 to add sausage to pizza...??? read more

This was our family favorite pizza restaurant. I ordered pepperoni cheese pizza and it was SO greasy. The grease soaked through the box. We squeezed the grease out of a slice of pizza that covered the entire plate. I called the restaurant and told the cashier that our pizza was so greasy.
