I've been here a few times now and honestly, this location should be the blueprint for the others. The staff is consistently friendly, patient, kind, and genuinely helpful. That alone goes a long way. This spot is always clean, the drive-thru moves smoothly and efficiently, and most of the time my order is spot on. Even on the rare occasion something is off, the food still tastes good and they are always willing to make it right without any attitude. I've tried a mix of items so far, wraps, drinks, and donuts. On my most recent visit, I had a double sausage egg and cheese wrap with American cheese, peppers, and onions. I asked for black pepper instead of green peppers, but it came with green peppers anyway. That said, it was still very good. Stuffed, cheesy, savory, juicy, and served hot, which is what really matters. I highly recommend stopping by this Donut Delight. They do things the right way here. Awesome food here. First time here and I'm happy I picked this place to stop for a quick bite to eat while in Stamford. We have lived in Stamford for a year and I am stumped as to why I haven't figured out that this place is SO much better than Dunkin!!! We arrived at the drive-thru around 11am on a Saturday morning and put ourselves at the end of the typical long line of cars. The cars moved through quickly and we arrived at the menu to place our order. The gentleman inside was polite, patient and gracious for our order. Again we quickly arrived at the window to pick up our order, two breakfast sandwiches and two donuts (we had already had our morning coffee, so we stuck to the goods). The woman at the drive thru pickup was masked gloved, and with one hand handed us our two bags and with the other took our credit card. She was also polite and gracious. Overall a lovely experience! The food is just awesome. Simple. Clean. Fresh! The croissants are tender, buttery, flakey, and just the right size. The chorizo is perfectly spiced and the chicken sausage is delicious. We LOVE the fresh cracked egg. I feel so much better after eating these sandwiches compared to other establishments. We will certainly become regulars at this location of Donut Delight! I've been going to Donut Delight for the better part of almost 13 years between this location and its others. Only one person actually greats me with a smile and chipper voice. He told me his name is John. It seems like he is always running around doing orders while his coworkers just stand there watching. I am a restaurant evaluator and this is such a disappointment to see. Companies need to show care and consideration to not just the customers but also their own employees. If you've ever seen the movie "Coming to America"... Donut Delight is to Dunkin' Donuts as McDowell's is to McDonald's... Yeah, it's a shameless, unrepentant ripoff of DD. Donuts, bagels, muffins, coffee, a drive thru... I think they even use the same font on some of their signage. Despite this trademark lawsuit waiting to happen, I actually rather like the place. In addition, the offerings also mirror those of Dunkin: a large selection of different flavored donuts, croissants, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, smoothies and a few lunch sandwich options. The donuts at Donuts Delight were solidly good (I tried a Boston Cream). More impressive to me was the coffee: I had an iced latte, which was great, and one of my companions really enjoyed the taste of his hot coffee. It's not too bitter, yet not too sweet, and nicely compliments the donuts. On the other hand, be sure to avoid the fruit smoothies! The strawberry smoothie my other friend had was cloyingly sweet and tasted way too syrupy. In addition, it did not pair well with the donuts. Considering that the prices are about the same as Dunkin, the lines move faster, and the quality of the coffee was much better, I would definitely come back here the next time I'm in the mood for a donut. read more

I am a loyal customer to Dunkin Donuts because I don't have a Donut Delight near my house but whenever I'm in Stamford this place is my first choice...but only if its after 11. They have a rule where they refuse to toast your bagel between 7 and 11 in the morning. I hate cold bagels and on my most recent trip they offered to warm it up for me which I gladly accepted. When I went to take my first bite I realized all they had done was put it in the microwave which basically made it inedible. Their coffee is better, their bagels are better but they lose me as a customer because I like warm bagels. If only they got rid of that silly rule read more

They have great fast service and I personally think the coffee here is better than starbucks and much more price friendly. Their doughnuts are also delicious as well as their muffins. I had the chocolate chip muffin today and was surprised by the super moist insides. I also love that it's open 24 hours. its hard to find a place around here that stays open late, let alone all the time. Tip: if youre coming here in the mornings, you'll get faster service if you go inside. The drive thru line gets pretty lengthy. I always seem to see the same couple of old guys sitting at the tables chatting inside in the mornings, and i think it's awesome that they have such loyal regulars. read more

I have been going to this Donut Delight location for over 10 years and have never had an issue with the service. But, the service has been very hit or miss as of lately (understandably so given the COVID-19 pandemic and only allowing drive-thru). However, today during the 5:06 PM- Check 594, the Hispanic/Spanish lady dispatcher forgot one of our items. Our bill ($22.85) included a lot of sandwiches since I was with my family and one of our kids did not receive his food (toasted croissant w/cream cheese). Once again, we are understanding that mistakes are made and we went up to the drive-thru window to ask if we can get it since we paid for it. We tried to get this quick situation fixed and kindly ask for the sandwich back up at the drive-thru window. I spoke to her in Spanish as I am also Latino. She rudely disputes that she put it in the bag and to leave the drive-thru line since I had gotten out of my car to quickly notify her as the cars were behind me. I had to even knock on the window to get her to come back because she was insulting me in front of the other co-workers and the customer right behind me. I am very upset that this occurred since on multiple occasions they usually forget items, but for such a drastic/rude scene to happen with a customer, co-workers, and in front of other people in the drive-thru line is just plain wrong and unprofessional. I usually recommend Donut Delight, but I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received at the 274 Hope Street location today. The woman who took our order was rather rude, but no big deal until I find out she gave me regular milk instead of almond milk in my drink. I specifically asked for almond milk, did not realize until halfway through my drink and was not in a position to go back after we had already left. So now my body is suffering the consequences. Especially given health issues and allergens these days, please let her know to pay attention. One morning I decided to forgo the long drive thru line and go back to Dunkin Donuts after weeks of not having been. IT was HORRIBLE. I've been to all the different Donut Delight locations here in SW Fairfield County and have always had a great experience. This one is the closest to where I live. I'm the odd adult who doesn't drink coffee but I do love bagels and the occasional doughnut. Recently got an onion bagel and iced tea, here, and it was so good. If Krispy Kreme doughnuts are a "100" then the doughnuts here at Donut Delight are a "99.5," they're that good.
