I know, I know, it's tough, but just try. Now once you have that, think of Dunkin Donuts coffee. With that in your mind, now try to pretend that it doesn't taste like liquefied cardboard. Okay, so we have a clean shop and tasty coffee. What's next? Food. You want eggs? Yeah, they're real eggs, not frozen "egg" pucks. Bagles, well, they're all delivered fresh daily from a local bagel shop (Liz Sue, if I'm not mistaken), so it's not like they're stale and tasteless. You want to know about the cheese? I can't help ya there, pal. It's standard American. I didn't see any cows in the parking lot, so I don't imagine that they're making that fresh. Okay, fine, I'll cut to the chase. I will drive past every D&D in this city to get to a Donuts Delight. They took Dunkin's menu and made it right with better quality ingredients & better customer service. They get busy in the morning, so don't expect to sit down. The drive thru is a mad house, so it's better to walk in. I like that they have outdoor seating, which a lot of people like... unless your allergic to fresh air... then I guess it wouldn't be awesome. We LEFT A Dunkin donuts when their shelves were bare one night and made a beeline to Donut delight where their shelves were FULL! I tell some NY colleagues I am consulting in Stamford, and the first thing out their mouths is "I used to work in Stamford. How do you like the Donut Delight?" Hmmm. The donuts here are okay. I usually get an egg & cheese on a roll which is good. The iced coffee's are great and I usually make a trip here just to get one! My favorite is the french vanilla, extra light and extra sweet. Bagels are good, if your a fan of cream cheese like me you'll have to ask for extra as I don't think they give you enough. They won't toast anything before 11 am in the drive-thru because it's considered "rush hour" so if you something toasted you'll have to go inside. Give yourself an extra 10-15 minutes if your on your way to work as the lines inside and out get really long! read more

Please bring back the old chai tea latte it was so good and was so similar to Starbucks. Now I have to spend almost $2 more for the same drink. Friends from the Stamford area recommended Donut Delight so I needed to pop in when I was in town. It was okay. Big donut selection. My friend got the honey glazed and I tried the apple crumble. The honey glazed was simple and delicious, however, the apple crumble had way too much dough and cinnamon and very little filling. I wouldn't but it again. This was my second trip to this location, using the drive in window only. First time was excellent. Prompt service and order completely to my satisfaction. Today a disaster! I placed an order for "black" unsweetened iced tea." After trying to understand why a large priced $2.49 would cost over $3.00 (this is higher than Starbucks) I ordered a medium and proceeded to work. Shock!!! Horror!!! Not as ordered. Raspberry flavor. Left work (losing time from work) drove back and asked for a repeat of the original order, medium black iced tea. I also asked for 3 packets of Sweet and Low. Picked up the order, no sweetener. Asked for sweetner and received the packets., drove back to work and...you guessed it. Raspberry again. Unfortunately the manager was not in yet. I plan to make his acquaintance today after work. I will be interested to see how he handles this and what if any accommodations he will offer . So far this is the best Stamford location Donut Delight - the staff are so friendly and do their best to get your order correctly and quickly. It is always a bit busy but it moves fast. They have good coffee flavor options. I do love the breakfast sandwiches, cheap and the eggs are fluffy and 'fresh' (or as fresh as fast food possible)- the sausage egg and cheese is my favorite - the chorizo is also good if you're looking for something spicy, and they offer egg whites and multiple different bread options (roll, bagel, croissant, regular bread, english muffin) as well - best fast-food breakfast sandwich I have found! Great quick stop for breakfast and a coffee or a snack and a tea/smoothie. read more

I love donut delight. Whenever I am in Connecticut I pick up a dozen doughnuts. My favorites are the Boston creme and the raspberry jelly powdered doughnut. Service is friendly. So the product is outstanding, but going beyond that it's people that drive the business and here they take all the medals. When was the last time you forgot your wallet and the drive thru told you it was ok? It isn't fancy and there's nothing really super impressive about this place but the coffee is solid, the service is warm (once they just gave me my donut when I realized I'd left my purse at home) and they have a drive-through window which can be a mommy lifesaver. I also really love that unlike Dunkin and Starbucls they carry flavored coffees not just flavored syrups which means I can go sugar-free and still feel fancy. read more

Unsanitary location. They don't clean their stuff in The kitchen. I have a major nut allergy and they gave me a plain bagel with cream cheese but with peanut butter on it due to using the same knife. The place looked as if it can be a huge retail place, with a drive thru and a line that goes until the door. The food was amazing, and don't even tell me about the donuts. It was out of this world. I LOVE this place, I come here almost every morning. They have the best sandwiches and I love the morning staff they are always so pleasant and they get my order right 99.9% of the time. They have the best iced tea and its always fresh and flavorful and they have really good coffee. I normally work day shift so I never have a problem with them but I took off a star because the night staff (10pm) can't seem to get my order right and they seemed annoyed when I asked them to fix it. This location lost a customer today. Their coffee occasionally tastes burnt but I've put up with it because it's close and convenient. But today was the 3rd visit in a row where they got my order wrong. Let's be clear: my order was a single cup of coffee. The guy always repeats the order back (sometimes incorrectly, but not today). After handing over my $20 and getting my change, I watched the woman at the window move my small coffee into a larger cup and hand me a medium. I said I'd ordered a small. She told me I'd paid for a medium. I took the medium (shouldn't have), came home and looked at my receipt, and discovered that the sweetener was wrong also. I pity the diabetic who unknowingly gets sugar instead of a fake version. If I didn't have a puppy in tow, I'd have gone back. This guy has ONE job. I've been going to Donut Delight basically my whole life. I go at least 2 times a day everyday and never had a problem. The workers know me since im a regular customer but recently I went one night for Munchkins and when I got to the drive thru to pay, one of the workers tried to argue with me saying I ordered donuts instead. She had a bad attitude towards me when I mentioned that it was the wrong order. I felt very disrespected since all i asked was for her to change it and she even tried to keep arguing when I was about to leave. Just picked up coffee from their drive through, and while the coffee itself is great, the man on the speaker taking your order made my experience at Donut Delight a good one. He was very friendly and just sounded positive and like he was in a great mood and because of that it put me in a good mood! I prefer Donut Delight over Dunkin Donuts any day! This location is 24/7, but can be a hit or miss sometimes.. I usually get an iced coffee light & sweet, and sometimes the coffee is too watery or not made properly. Only problem is there is ALWAYS a line at the drive through in the mornings, especially on the weekends and even around noon time! They're still packed!!! Also, they have a sign that says no toasting before 11am, and that's because it will take up to much time during the morning rush. If you go inside they would gladly toast anything at any time! Their donuts are amazing & they have a variety of coffee flavors, sandwiches, bagels, & muffins! Must try if in the area sometime! read more
