I saw there was boba here so I decided to try. Ordered the honey dew boba smoothie which was worth it and affordable. The lay mom and pop shop in this plaza. Variety on the menu from entrees to desserts and other drinks. When I visit Santa Monica area, I'll most likely keep this in my go to visits. We got a ton of donuts here. They were all good, and what you'd expect. They also tasted fresh at 3-4pm when we got them, which can be rare for small donut spots like this. The lady also gave us two free donuts with our purchase just to be nice. Our favorite was the bear claw filled with apple cinnamon! I will be back for more. read more

Donut King is awesome because it's always convenient they have tons of options at great prices. The store always smells good and has great service. The two lady's inside are the nicest people you'll ever meet. The ham cheese and bacon croissant is always the go to. It comes with ham cheese egg bacon and I always get mine with mayo. The croissant is nice and warm the bacon and egg is cooked to perfection and the ham adds the perfect amount of sweet and savory flavors. Great Service, the women in the counter gave me and my friends free donuts as we were leaving after already buying donuts because we told her we drove 2 hours to try her donuts. I accidentally stumbled across Donut King and was pleasantly surprised to find out they serve fresh juices! I ordered the #3 juice beet, carrot, celery, and apple and watched as she cut up all the fruits and veggies fresh before putting them into the juicer. You can really taste the difference. It was super refreshing and honestly way better than I expected from a donut shop. The donuts were pretty tasty too, but the fresh juice is what's going to keep me coming back. Came in yesterday 3/13 around 8pm. The ladies service was not so professional or nice. However, there was also a homeless lady inside, causing absolutely NO disturbance whatsoever!! I understand if the lady herself doesn't want her inside, but to yell at her to get out when she was doing nothing but having her head down is very wrong. She is still a human, just with different lifestyle. No one wants to be yelled aggressively "GET OUT NOWWW!!". Then made us feel rushed out as well. Again, i understand feeling comfortable in your shop, but homeless or not she is a human with emotions. Also, attitudes given towards my mom over asking for napkins. Donut Kings been here twenty years apparently. Donuts don't go out of style. Especially not when donut holes are still three bucks in 2024. Everything else is normal but I thought to get a cheap gift for someone I'm helping today and what better surprise than donuts. I did a lot of culinary research before coming to LA but I had no idea there'd be a donut/bakery/boba place pretty much everywhere. This one just happens to be the closest to where I was staying but it quickly became my go to for breakfast. Donuts are solid, croissants are soft and fluffy, and this is basically a community hub. Especially in the mornings. If you're in the LA area, do yourself a favor and find your local bakery/boba place. You won't regret it read more

A solid donut. From the outside this place looks like a typical donut shop but the inside is quite nice. We came in the evening which is probably the worst time to come for donuts since they are usually on low supply or a few hours to a whole day old. We ordered one chocolate donut and 1 glazed donut and both were super delish. Even after being there for a while they were soft and sweet. The lady at the front was super nice too. Staying down the street from here, I walked through a few times since I'm here for 3 days and got a few items. Apple fritter is delicious. Croissants are huge but sell out quickly. I live down the street. The last few days I've been craving donuts. I was at Ralph's yesterday and picked up an Apple fritter and maple bar. It was alright for $.89 each. Today I was on Pico turning left on Lincoln. The craving hit again so I went to Donut King to compare my previous experience. I picked up an Apple fritter and chocolate filled custard (Ralph did have that kind). The price was about $2 each. The taste and freshness was with the price. It has a wonderful, thick consistency, isn't too icy, and has the perfect amount of sweetness to leave me craving more. While I don't go for the donuts, I certainly never turn down the yelp check-in offer for three free donut holes. The glazed ones were soft and tasty, but there was nothing amazing about them.
