This is by far the best donuts shop I have been to!! Super tasty donuts and they have donut holes complimentary for the purchase!! The service is also very kind and helpful!

It's always a good day when I can stop by and grab a dozen for my colleagues and I! This is the best mom and pop donut shop in Tustin thank u guys for the best donuts and best customer service!

Donut star especially the one in Tustin has amazing quality donuts! Everyone here greets you with amazing customer service and their donuts are equally as great. Their donut holes are the best in town and their original glazed found the perfect balance between doughy and airy. Also anything remotely cinnamon flavor you see at the store here I suggest you get, they pack it with cinnamon!

This is one of our absolute favorite donut places. The owner, Mei (hope I spelled that correctly) and her family are absolutely wonderful and caring. Can't say enough about them. There are many loyal customers that frequent this place, and I totally understand why. I don't think there has been a single time where they didn't add a little something (like extra donut holes) to an order. Wonderful peoples, wonderful donuts, wonderful way to start off you day.

Stopped by at about 1:20 pm to grab a donut after lunch. Unfortunately they're already closed. Oh well. Maybe next time.

The old adage "You can't judge a book by its cover," is true here. This place looks forgotten, ignored, unassuming, but produces the finest bakery items in Orange County. You enter and have to immediately get into a line. Inside, it is like a aged cafeteria of your childhood. You have to wait for a young lady who can't even look over the top of the counter because there is so much stuff piled high. She stands on tip toes to see you and you have to shout at her and point what you want. The problem is when she sees you, you are near the cash register, so you must say excuse me and walk in front of a line of people to point and shout out what you want. It is so poorly designed and complicated to order. We all endure because like the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld, the product is worth it. They sell the world's best Olive bread, scones, and strawberry crossants. If you survive the line, you make it to the cash register, pay, get a bag and leave. There is no where to sit. There is no internet. They shuffle you through and on to the next one. The pastry items are incredible and worth the trouble.

What Cream Pan is known for, to the point where people call this a cream pan. Solid and I prefer their pastry cream over the whipped cream that a lot of places use. You can easily buy as a set. The more you buy, the larger the discount. It feels like it's gone through shrinkflation though. Also not as good as it used to be. Adzuki cream: 10/10. The hidden star of the place. Absolutely phenomenal. Great flavor. The whipped cream is slightly too sweet but amazing otherwise. Love the red bean in here. There's a good mix of textures. Feels light thanks to the cream. Cream puff: 6/10. Was disappointed by this to be honest. Other pastries I've tried like the one in the photo are just okay. Nothing stand out. Customer service isn't great. Someone cut in front of me and they didn't care. Free parking and plenty of it since it's a large plaza.

The cream is super smooth and filled with actual durian pulp--no artificial flavor at all. The sponge is so light and fluffy that it almost melts in your mouth, and it pairs perfectly with the rich, fruity durian cream. I already love fresh durian and durian ice cream, but this was my first time trying a durian cake, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The 6-inch cake was $68, so it's definitely a treat, but I'd happily buy it again. Just make sure to order a few days ahead. The service was amazing too. Since it was our anniversary, they added a cute "Happy Anniversary" sign to the cake at no extra charge. When we picked it up, they even reminded us to head straight home because the summer heat could affect the cake. You can tell they genuinely care about the quality of their cakes and want customers to enjoy them at their best. Definitely coming back to try more flavors!

The actual donuts came out double times bigger than display too haha Blueberry glazed donut: fruity and not too tart, very balanced. The jam and fresh passion fruit is super yummy Banoffe: I was scared the banana nuttiness will be too overpowering, it's actually not. Cream is light and not too concentrated. Ham and cheese: absolutely my favorite. Had a great cheese pull, comes with a mustard sauce that pairs well with the savory flavor. It breaks my traditional view on donuts. There are so many kinds I want to try still, so I will be back. Plenty seats inside and they do get busy and has a line. I've tried the peach glaze, passion fruit, sprinkle, lemon, etc. all very good. The service is usually not too great as of lately. I'm not usually greeted and the vibe from the employees is very nonchalant. Almost like you're an inconvenience but not quite, as they aren't rude just aloof maybe. I also have come in once or twice when Worship music was playing, and that's not quite my vibe, but to each their own. It's their business, just thought I'd mention it. Lastly, I almost tried their coffee today until I saw alternative milk was $1.25 extra !! Their base prices for coffee and matcha are a little on the pricier side, I would compare it to a specialty coffee shop for pricing. I know that specialty coffee shops charge that much due to the grade of beans being higher and more expensive, so I'm wondering if they use higher quality beans as well to justify their price? Either $1.25 for oat milk was a total turn off for me, it seems a little greedy. Most places charge $.75-$1. The rewards system is not very rewarding as it is one free donut for every $100 you spend. Not sure I'll be coming back. Maybe occasionally when I'm craving a donut.

Usually parking here isn't too bad if you're staying for less than an hour and easy to walk over to the dessert shop. Baked Banhs is located in the 4th street food market, one of the first shops you'll see if you're coming from the parking lot. Note the hours before you come (for instance, they're closed on Sundays and Mondays). And note that they seem to usually sell out of certain items by the days end. We've tried a number of different items here now including four of their canelés and their basque cheesecake. The cheesecake was solid. But we really loved their canelés. They are soft/moist on the inside with a nice crunch. And the different flavors really come through. Our favorite is the black sesame - not only is there black sesame peppered on the top but also in the center with a nice black sesame cream. It's so good and delicious. Four canelés cost $16 and thought they were well worth the price. Again, it's so sad to hear that Baked Banhs is closing soon so if you're a fan of canelés or other desserts, recommended to come sooner than later to try this out! We really hope they reopen again elsewhere or do a lot of pop-ups soon.

Whenever I come here it's always the same lady who I'm sure is tired of seeing me lol, but she is so sweet and kind and patient when I have trouble deciding what to pick here! As for the pastries/desserts, the custard pudding cup deserves more love! I'm not sure if it's housemade here, but if you've ever been to Japan, it tastes exactly like the ones you buy from the konbini! I remember I would buy one almost every day of my trip, so I've grown cravings for it that Hamadaya satisfies in OC. The bavarian chocolate cream is a fun decadent pastry if you're into chocolate- comes with so many chocolate chips. The cheese bread is also a go-to for me if I'm in a savory mood- it's exactly what it sounds like, cheese and bread but who doesn't love those two things? Egg katsu sandwich is good if you're looking for something more substantial. The strawberry shortcake I've tried here was also good, but I did pick it up near their closing so it felt a little dried out. Definitely would recommend coming here earlier in the day for fresher and better selection of pastries!
