We were going to Gloria's in Cedar Park. Looking for the address on Google I discovered Gloria's was closed. Oh no! Thanks to a tiny mention down the page I saw that Dos Hermanos had replaced Gloria's. Good enough. We tried it and really liked it. It's still feels like Gloria's inside but I honestly liked the food better. We didn't eat a lot but what we ate was very good. I had a crispy taco. It was one of those yummy tacos where the shell is still crunchy but it doesn't break. Truly a crispy beef taco. We'll definitely be going back. read more

Like so many others in Cedar Park, I was crushed when Gloria's was sold (and then apparently shut down by the IRS or something). So when i discovered that Dos Hermanos was opening in the same spot, with most of the same staff and the (mostly) menu of excellent food, i was thrilled. The cool part? Dos Hermanos has a bar, and it's a nice one. While the place still looks like Gloria's, it has been newly designed and given a nice, clean shine. The most important part of Dos Hermanos is the food. You will not find a better breakfast menu in Cedar Park. The biscuits and gravy...words fail me in describing these things. Just get them. Oh, and like any great diner, breakfast is available all day. The Tex-Mex is where Dos Hermanos shines for me, though. I like simple, a la crispy beef tacos and good salsa. These crispy tacos are as good as any I've had. The regular salsa could be hotter, but do yourself a solid and ask for the secret hot green sauce. It's creamy as hell, tasty and has the kind of spice that sneaks up on you later. Top all of this off with a house marg and you're going to have a fine meal at a completely reasonable price. Dos Hermanos is now my place. It's my Cheers. It's across Lakeline from my neighborhood, but I'd drive a lot further to go eat here if I had to. read more

I have eaten here three times. I looked forward to the restaurant's opening, but I was disappointed. The American food is solid. My boyfriend enjoyed the waffles and chicken, the chicken fried steak, and the green beans, all of which were tasty. The Mexican food, on the other hand, was horrible. The Chili rellenos was inedable. The chili was raw and tough, the cheese sauce was awful, and the suiza was tasteless. The rice was dry. Tonight, the La Bandera Plate was horrible. It included a beef enchilada, a chicken enchilada, and a cheese enchilada. The only enchilada with filling was the cheese enchilada. There was no chicken or beef on the plate. Once again, the rice was dry. The refried beans and charro beans were bland and tasteless. The Hamburger and fries were good. The breakfasts are excellent. I won't try their Mexican food again. which is sad. I had high hopes. read more

Breakfast and dinner. i missed the breakfast special during the week. I ordered the migas. Good presentation. The service was good. But the eggs did not taste like farm fresh eggs which I enjoy. This place was great! An array of food options and excellent service and wait staff. Drinks were good and we enjoyed ourselves. We have a 9 month old, and they had a changing station with disposable mats for your baby, which no where ever has. So they get extra points for caring about their customers in my book. read more

We waited a few weeks to give breakfast a try. We were disappointed and will wait a few months and hope the overall food gets better. We like the location and want to see this restaurant succeed but the food was not good, we left most of it uneaten. Service was good, the decor is pleasant. The green print on the dark blue menu is hard to read but the vast menu had a lot of options. Party of 3, our plates barely fit on the table. Every item came on a too large plate, we immediately did a lot of consolidating. I ordered an ala carte breakfast ribeye med rare and a pancake. Steak was darn near raw, sent back. Due to table space, I had transferred my pancake to my steak plate. When the steak went back, so did my pancake and was returned with a slightly more done steak, hashbrowns that I didn't order and no pancake. The steak was an excellent breakfast steak, tender and tasty. I eventually received a cold pancake. Hubs ordered the sausage links w/eggs, homefries, wheat toast dry and a half order of biscuits & sausage gravy on the side. The sausage links are chicken sausage which we did not realize (ick) and no pork options. The home fries were cold, just barely cooked, dry toast was buttered, biscuit was cut in half, grilled with butter and served with the gravy. Hubs does not like butter, this all went untouched. The sausage gravy was good. Friend ordered chicken fried steak and over easy eggs with toast. Suspected the chicken fried steak was premade/frozen. Said it was ok but not great. Eggs were cooked correctly, toast was good. Food was a major letdown, we were not impressed at all. Staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful, they get 5 stars. read more

I had the chicken fried steak breakfast. The eggs, biscuit, and hash browns were good. The main entree chicken fried steak was gross. Salty and clearly came from the freezer. Server took a long time to take our order. I saw the manager asking other tables about their food and he never checked on us. The new look of the building is really nice. Just need to make sure the existing servers from the previous restaurant that was here, all get replaced. read more

I used to come here often when it was Gloria's, so I was excited to see that the menu hadn't changed too much. We ordered enchiladas and a grilled chicken dish- both were really good! Service was very friendly and the updated seating and tables were nice. My one complaint is the acoustics- you can hear every noise the kitchen makes (pots clanking, dishes stacking, chopping, etc). Not a deal breaker for me but it can get pretty loud. Would recommend! read more

Heard the old Glorias opened back up! Now called Dos Hermanos, the restaurant now has a bar, calm neutral colors and lots of seating. Service was good, portions were huge, and must have dessert! The menu is large enough for everyone to find something! The complimentary chips and salsa combined with one of their signature cocktails make for a great opening to any meal! We dine here, breakfast, lunch, and dinner at least a couple times a week, and we have never been disappointed. I love their pancakes and build your own omelet. I've been coming her since they were called Gloria's, but suddenly it was taken over by new owners, hence the new name (Dos Hermanos Cafe). I had seen the sign posted of live music, specifically for a mariachi band called, "Mariachi Relampago". On June 20, 2024, we stopped by to enjoy some music. Mariachis were going table to table asking people if they had any songs they wished to request. Keep in mind, it was NOT a full house at this place. I asked one of the mariachis if it's based on tips. His answer was, "Oh, we'll make arrangements when we're done playing the song of your choice". I thought, ok, it can't be that much. After all, I've seen mariachi bands play at restaurants my entire life and not once have they asked for a fee. No matter where I am or what place I have visited. I am a tipper and I love to support local bands, no matter what genre of music I am listening to. However, at the end of three songs, the musician came to me and said, "That will be $50 and I take Venmo". At this point, I thought he was joking and almost started laughing. It turns out he was not joking. The three songs that I paid for were more than the food I ordered. As far as I am concerned, mariachis are here to entertain you when you sit down to have a meal. You don't pay them. The restaurant does that. In fact, our server told us that the mariachis were paid by the restaurant and told us not to tip her. I felt so bad for her what we tipped her anyway because it was not her fault. In my lifetime, I have seen mariachis have a jar or a box set aside for tipping. We decide as a customer how much to contribute. The only reason I paid the amount is because then I thought, "maybe they need the money and are hurting" Or, "maybe they are scam artists". Charging $50 is outrageous. What if I had said no, then what? After discussing this with the manager, he quickly sided with the musicians. Let me tell you something about the manager. I describe his as being a short Hispanic guy who absolutely has no people skills. Talking to him is like talking to a child. He does not know how to problem solve. If I was the manager, I would have told my customers, "Hey, the food is on the house, we want you all to come back and I apologize for the mariachi band". Or "How about I give you all a free meal for the next time you come in". Anything other than the lame excuse he gave us. I am shocked that this guy is the manager. This is unacceptable. They lost several customers as I was with a few friends who also will not return. read more

This is my new favorite Tex Mex place! The wait staff was excellent and the food was very tasty! We had the cheese enchiladas and chicken enchiladas. The portions are large and plated beautifully.
