Hate to score this low because the atmosphere was great and service was pretty decent, but the food was just not cutting it. Taste is always a priority for me. Food looked good at first and great menu options but was severely overpriced for the quality and taste we received. We ordered the half chicken and it had an old after taste, was also very rubbery. Seemed like our food was sitting a while. Cocktails we fine, but cost was more than other bars in the area. Empandas had good flavor, but was cold to the touch. Everything is good except the shady business practice. On your receipt you will notice a 2% surcharge to "cover rising costs." This is basically just a surprise extra charge on your order. Prices are supposed to be upfront and customers shouldn't be tricked by greedy liars. Shameful and should be illegal. read more

Altogether I would give the menu a seven out of 10. I have the paella . The rice was a tad bit burnt the shrimp were perfect the lobster was a waste of time because by the time you try to scrape it out of the shell you're missing 60% of the meat. It was our first time going here, I will give it another try one day. We liked the Caesar versus the Harvest Salad. Caesar dressing was on par. We also ordered the baked queso and mexican corn. Next time I would try their signature dish or go for happy hour. I'm hoping we just ordered the wrong dishes. I'd give this place another chance and see if we just ordered the wrong dishes. Margaritas were good & food was ok. Nothing really stood out as great. Their food is overpriced. $80 paella, I was hoping for at least a large portion like when I was in Spain however it wasn't. I would just go here for the ambiance and drinks but you can skip out on the food if you wanted to save money. We recently returned from a another experience at the DOSALAS restaurant and I have to say it was a complete turnaround we came back with an invitation from Andrew and experienced a seamless event. The food was delicious. The drinks were delicious and the server Graciana was by far the best server I have had in Vancouver. We really enjoyed our experience. I had the steak New York and my husband had the tenderloin both were cooked to perfection. We did not have dessert because we were so full, but we do plan on returning and we will like to try the dessert menu at that time, thank you again for working so hard to make our experience pleasant I know firsthand how much work goes into providing a great experience and I appreciate it read more

My wife and I came here after wine tasting at the neighborhood tasting rooms (at least 10 to choose from). Excellent meal. The short rib sopes were a solid opener. Not soggy, short rib dark and smoky. Then the ckams and mussels in an ancho broth with chorizo - spicy and delicious. Then b the anchor spiced lamb chops, perfectly grilled. Service was pretty good. Despite the stunning decor, this was a disappointment for dinner. Reservations were made a month in advance, yet they still wanted to seat us at the end of a banquette in the bar despite booth seating being clearly available. They were gracious enough to accommodate our request to move to a booth. We were excited to eat dinner here as we had both only been here before for cocktails and appetizers. We ordered the Sofrito Seafood shareable dinner. The first one came out cold. We eventually sent it back to be remade. What we ended up with was underdone lobster, 3 tiny scallops, and sub-par quality shrimp. And let's not overlook the "Olive Garden-style" breadsticks cut in half that were advertised as herb-crusted baguettes. This is an add-on to my friend Betty who left a review right before me. She was a lot kinder than me. I agree how nice the ambience was, she left out a few details. When we walked in and realized we had to go upstairs on our own because of customers telling us that on their way out, we got upstairs, and the person who "greeted" us, handed us our menus and told us to sit wherever we wanted instead of walking us to a table. It just seemed awkward that we were walking through wind pressured glass doors to go outside carrying menus, and trying to open the door with your other hand. Did he have something better to do? There wasn't many people in there at all. Yes, the waitress was nice, she just didn't know what her job was. We didn't waive them down for utensils because there was no one around wave to. I got up and got my own. When we did see her while we were eating, we would have to get her attention by waving our arms. She would have to be asked for us to get a refill after waiting for a while. She would bring us a refill, then leave our dirty dishes on the table just collecting. We waited for a check for a very long time. my friend realized by looking at another customers that it would be better for me to go get the check. As we were waiting for her to come and collect it, we watched other people do the same thing. Luckily for us there was a shift change and Adrian came on shift. we watched him walk people to the table and show them around to make sure they were comfortable the way it should be done. I ended up asking if he could come to our table. After telling him our concerns, including the "manager," who was yes eating (could've been his break,) but who eats and chews while walking around the restaurant? Why would a manager not notice a lot of dishes everywhere and not have them do something about it? Why didn't Manager notice us not getting service? If we noticed him with food in his mouth walking around, he should've noticed the things he supposed to. Long story short the service is terrible. The food is great. I have eaten in every state in the country. Adrian should be the manager of that place because he's the only reason that we chose that we will go back. read more

From the moment you walk in the door the beauty of this place surrounds you. The front area was stunning and the green plant walls bring a calming energy. Once you reach the main floor it's beautifully laid out for all types of groups. We sat outside on the patio on a perfect fall day. Where they have heaters going and window walls that can come down if it gets too windy. Making perfect atmosphere for winter time with rain. The views are gorgeous and seating options very comfortable. The menu has so many options it was hard to choose and the drink menu was filled with creative choices. What a delight to see a menu so eclectic. My cons- 1) took 15 minutes for us to get water when we sat down and menus to start looking 2) the prices are extremely high on their drinks and small plates. The food was amazing and popping with flavor. The drinks presentation was stunning! However the costs were definitely higher than a normal dinner out. Will save this for a fancy date night or special occasion. Note: we had Anna as a server who was one of my top five reason to come back. She was friendly, exuberant, and excited to work in this restaurant. You don't find people who love where they work often and she gets 5 stars. read more

I came here for Happy Hour on 7/3/24, the afternoon started off great, and the weather was perfect out on the deck, overlooking the river. We ordered a round of drinks which we all enjoyed. We asked for some napkins/silverware, since the table was not set with any. After about 15 minutes, and no response, we asked another server who was passing by for some, and waited another 10 minutes. At this point, we had been onsite for about an hour and our food was expected to arrive any minute, but still didn't receive any. We then asked a 3rd time, with a different server, for these items, and the server came by a few minutes later, and said "we understand you requested napkins, but we are not sure what you had in mind," and offered some paper napkins that were very thin and looked like the style you would receive at some drinking establishments with your beverage. We responded and said we'll take what we can get, but truly expected to get some silverware wrapped in a cloth napkin, similar to what EVERY other table around us had been offered. I legit had expected to see Ashton Kutcher come out from somewhere, like if we were on the Punk'd reality show, and tell us they were just messing with us! FINALLY, we were given these coveted items, right before our food showed up, and were able to enjoy our meal. The main server was a bit slow to understand our basic requests, and we did have to repeat ourselves often, and she even forgot to bring one of the drinks, I guess they were sort of busy, but. . . . Most of the food and beverages were very tasty, however, the steak in the nachos did have a lot of gristle. I never leave negative reviews, but it is difficult to find positivity in the experience we had here. Came here for an important evening with family. Ordered the tomahawk, just to have it sent to the wrong table and not show up with the rest of our table's meals. It finally shows up 30 minutes later, when everyone else is done eating, just to be burnt to a crisp (ordered medium rare). The guy who brought it out to carve it told us it was way overdone. They offer to replace it, and that one arrives unbelievably late (an hour and a half in) and completely raw. The food was inedible, and despite their efforts to "make it right" and give us tequila, the meal was still $500. They offered a $50 gift card which will not be used, because there is zero chance we will be returning. Our main waiter was nice, but everyone else was passive aggressive because we sent back our inedible food. This place is an absolute joke. read more

Well what a hoopin' place! We made reservations in advance for a Friday night dinner with a party of 6. I highly recommend resos because it's busy! There's sufficient parking in the lots nearby, but you will have to pay (PROTIP: download the app to pay). We were seated after a 10min wait at this nice booth in the middle of the action. The decor is really nice, swanky, music is loud - reminds me of my clubbing days lol. A server came by with a marg cart. You just tell her how you like the marg and she makes it to your liking, and she was spot on! We were taken aback by the menu prices, but our server explained that the meals to share fed about 3-4 ppl and the main dishes fed 2 ppl. We ordered a lot - the seafood sofrito, pork chops, empanada, salmon, pork ribs and everything was delicious. The drinks were amazing. A marg flight was ordered and it was literally 4 regular glasses of margs in diff flavors - so good. You may get sticker shock from this place, but it really is a treat. I have eaten at this restaurant three times now. I've always thought the food was interesting and good, but expensive. Last night I brought a large group (15) of clients to the restaurant and was pretty disappointed in the performance. We were seated in the bar and worse than that the food was mediocre at best. Our server had a hard time keeping up although she was hardworking and very pleasant. Food was not brought out all at once and some of my clients had to sit while others got through half of their meals before they received their food. If you are going to charge that much for food of better be really good and you have to nail everything else. I will not be coming back with a large group and will hesitate to return at all. read more

This place should not call itself a tequila bar. This is where people come to pay for the bottle with no respect for what is actually in it. Disappointed with the tequila options I just ordered a margarita. Wifey ordered a smoked old fashioned. They looked beautiful tasted like shit. Everyone working was lovely to us and we showed love back. But from a business aspect you have a whole wall display of an actual terrible tequila and call yourself a tequila bar. Chill with the Abercrombie perfume! And learn good tequila. Food passing by actually looked fire. But have no interest in returning to try it. The place is beautiful and everyone was so nice to us.
