Well what a hoopin' place! We made reservations in advance for a Friday night dinner with a party of 6. I highly recommend resos because it's busy! There's sufficient parking in the lots nearby, but you will have to pay (PROTIP: download the app to pay). We were seated after a 10min wait at this nice booth in the middle of the action. The decor is really nice, swanky, music is loud - reminds me of my clubbing days lol. A server came by with a marg cart. You just tell her how you like the marg and she makes it to your liking, and she was spot on! We were taken aback by the menu prices, but our server explained that the meals to share fed about 3-4 ppl and the main dishes fed 2 ppl. We ordered a lot - the seafood sofrito, pork chops, empanada, salmon, pork ribs and everything was delicious. The drinks were amazing. A marg flight was ordered and it was literally 4 regular glasses of margs in diff flavors - so good. You may get sticker shock from this place, but it really is a treat. I have eaten at this restaurant three times now. I've always thought the food was interesting and good, but expensive. Last night I brought a large group (15) of clients to the restaurant and was pretty disappointed in the performance. We were seated in the bar and worse than that the food was mediocre at best. Our server had a hard time keeping up although she was hardworking and very pleasant. Food was not brought out all at once and some of my clients had to sit while others got through half of their meals before they received their food. If you are going to charge that much for food of better be really good and you have to nail everything else. Food was very good, had the salmon and the risotto was amazing. Fire tables outside are great but do get very warm even when it's freezing outside. I seen some pretty cool pics online so I took my wife out for a date. We actually came here after we ate but thought we would try some tequila tasting afterwards. This place should not call itself a tequila bar. This is where people come to pay for the bottle with no respect for what is actually in it. Disappointed with the tequila options I just ordered a margarita. Wifey ordered a smoked old fashioned. They looked beautiful tasted like shit. Everyone working was lovely to us and we showed love back. But from a business aspect you have a whole wall display of an actual terrible tequila and call yourself a tequila bar. Chill with the Abercrombie perfume! And learn good tequila. Food passing by actually looked fire. But have no interest in returning to try it. The place is beautiful and everyone was so nice to us. I love this place! My wife and I found out about this place not so long ago and we went for our 10 year anniversary. It has a real nice atmosphere, great views and great food! I had the Chimichurri pork chop and she had to Octopus. Both were amazing! Very flavorful and a lot going on in a good way. We paired this with a couple of mango margaritas which also were amazing! Very flavorful and nice amount of alcohol They have weekends with DJs and the music is great to listen to! The Latin spice to it definitely tops it. I really enjoyed visiting dos alas. It's definitely Instagram worthy. The food is good but nothing mind blowing. The service was great, everyone came in and checked in on me and my party of 5 various times throughout the night. The ambiance felt like I was at a club that served food. I guess I should have read more of the reviews before making a reservation for dinner at Dosalas. A "club vibe" with a DJ pumping music is not ever what I look for in a dining experience. This is the kind of place where you'd have a girls' night out or a bachelor party. If you were here just to drink, it would probably be alright but we were here for dinner, unfortunately. Once we were seated, it took 15 minutes for our waitress to grace us with her presence and take our order. She seemed put out to be doing her job. My water was gone before my husband's entree arrived and no one offered to fill it or even noticed it was empty, except for me. The plus was once we ordered our food, it did arrive quickly. The Brazilian cheese bread was my favorite thing but it was $10 for a minuscule serving. I understand inflation, but $2.50 for a two-bite ball of bread is excessive. All the food was expensive and only so-so. My husband ordered the ribs and said the slaw that came on the side had no flavor. We didn't order drinks and our meal total was still $100 -- for a marginal meal and even more marginal service. The views from our table were superb so we went for a walk after dinner which ended up being my favorite part of the evening. I had better, less expensive food at Little Conejo (less than a mile away) the last time I was in town. read more

This is an add-on to my friend Betty who left a review right before me. She was a lot kinder than me. I agree how nice the ambience was, she left out a few details. When we walked in and realized we had to go upstairs on our own because of customers telling us that on their way out, we got upstairs, and the person who "greeted" us, handed us our menus and told us to sit wherever we wanted instead of walking us to a table. It just seemed awkward that we were walking through wind pressured glass doors to go outside carrying menus, and trying to open the door with your other hand. Did he have something better to do? There wasn't many people in there at all. Yes, the waitress was nice, she just didn't know what her job was. We didn't waive them down for utensils because there was no one around wave to. I got up and got my own. When we did see her while we were eating, we would have to get her attention by waving our arms. She would have to be asked for us to get a refill after waiting for a while. She would bring us a refill, then leave our dirty dishes on the table just collecting. We waited for a check for a very long time. my friend realized by looking at another customers that it would be better for me to go get the check. As we were waiting for her to come and collect it, we watched other people do the same thing. Luckily for us there was a shift change and Adrian came on shift. we watched him walk people to the table and show them around to make sure they were comfortable the way it should be done. I ended up asking if he could come to our table. After telling him our concerns, including the "manager," who was yes eating (could've been his break,) but who eats and chews while walking around the restaurant? Why would a manager not notice a lot of dishes everywhere and not have them do something about it? Why didn't Manager notice us not getting service? If we noticed him with food in his mouth walking around, he should've noticed the things he supposed to. Long story short the service is terrible. The food is great. I have eaten in every state in the country. Adrian should be the manager of that place because he's the only reason that we chose that we will go back. read more

We dined last evening 4/22/2024 and had a fabulous experience! The food was impressive and exceptional! Everyone loved what they had. Two of the group of 4 got the ribs and loved them, 1 ordered the pork chop and absolutely loved it!! I personally ordered the Pomodoro pasta and absolutely unequivocally loved it!! The flavors in it are so rich and sat. The roasted garlic flavor and the sauce was just out of this world. I will come back to this restaurant just for the Pomodoro very soon! All of our starters were incredible! The desserts were also wonderful. We had the crème brûlée and the flourless chocolate tart cake!!! we wanted to order the million dollar, but we were all way too full to order a large dessert!!! But we decided we will order it next time we have a group! We also want to mention the service, which was absolutely exceptional! Olga, our server went out of her way to make sure our dining experience was above and beyond!!! So the manager also stopped by and made sure our dining experience was going well!! Kudos to the chef and the kitchen for putting out such five star food!! we will all definitely be back and we hope to come have the tomahawk steak next time for our table. Dosalas is a hot spot on Vancouver water front. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. The aesthetics and interior decor really made the place alive. Not to mention the gorgeous view of the Columbia river from the upstairs outside patio! The drinks were tasty but definitely on the spendy side just like the food. While the food came out looking extravagant the flavor wasn't there. The $180 steak while ordered medium/rare come out more medium/ well done. A lot of it was extremely chewy and no seasoning of salt or pepper. Yes it looks pretty, but the lack of seasoning on the food made it really disappointing especially for the price point. Our bill was $840 and they added on a $168 dollar pre tip. The expectation was you leave an additional tip on top of the one they already added. read more

I never leave negative reviews, but it is difficult to find positivity in the experience we had here. Came here for an important evening with family. Ordered the tomahawk, just to have it sent to the wrong table and not show up with the rest of our table's meals. It finally shows up 30 minutes later, when everyone else is done eating, just to be burnt to a crisp (ordered medium rare). The guy who brought it out to carve it told us it was way overdone. They offer to replace it, and that one arrives unbelievably late (an hour and a half in) and completely raw. The food was inedible, and despite their efforts to "make it right" and give us tequila, the meal was still $500. They offered a $50 gift card which will not be used, because there is zero chance we will be returning. Our main waiter was nice, but everyone else was passive aggressive because we sent back our inedible food. This place is an absolute joke. read more

I've been here 3 times, and overall the experience is lower than expectations. My last visit we were promptly and nicely sat outside on their pretty outdoor deck, but the propane gas fumes from the fire pit were too much to bear. The drinks are overpriced and the food even more-so overpriced, so we ended up ordering two drinks each and eating elsewhere. This is a pretty spot for a special occasion bar-hop, but with so much amazing food in PDX, I can't see me returning any time soon. read more

We sat for probably over 15 minutes before even receiving a general greeting, and the slow poor service continued from there. We were provided with a limited menu but noted that other patrons were receiving food items that were not even listed on our menu offerings so that was disappointing. This has got to be one of the best spots in Vancouver. The views are amazing of the Columbia River. Be sure to make reservations and plan to get there early. Not only might it take a while to find a parking spot but it is a nice spot to walk around. The beverages are all top notch and super tasty but also "instagram worthy". We wanted to try a bunch of stuff on their menu so we opted for 1 main entree ( pork chop = super delicious) and several small plates. We tried the soup of the day which was a spicy and flavorful corn chowder, the guacamole trio (all three equally tasty), and the baked queso (came out super hot and spreadable, served with warm bread). This spot is full of life and music, though do plan on dropping a pretty penny as this place does come with a cost. read more

I attended a private party here. The vibe was great, food amazing, and the variety of places to sit/stand and have a conversation (firepit on terrace, bar, tables, wine bar, etc.) made it exciting. Drinks did not disappoint! I had a gorgeous pear-infused martini pored from a sort of vase (see pic) and there was a margarita cart rolling around. Came here for a birthday. I happen to love Latin inspired dishes. The place sits right along the Columbia river with great views. This is august so skies are clear and Mt Hood is visible. So the vibe I got was definitely as if I were at a resort in Mexico all inclusive with some house music playing. Definitely on the fancier side. Now with the food. Prices are pretty steep. That's my only negative comment . But I'm ok with it because the food and service were great. We had the ceviche which was shrimp in some heavy cilantro based sauce. With the great tostadas. Short rib sopes. Delicious. And the lamb. Which was seasoned great and cooked to my liking of medium rare. They have a wide variety of tequilas however very overly priced. If you want to try these tequilas come over and we can try them lol. Overall very happy with my experience. Next time I will go for lunch. Go check them out. read more

She's has been so attentive of us from the minute we sat down! I was with a company of Spanish speaking family and I was the only one that didn't understood what was being said. Lola made sure she explained to me what was said. Making me feel no left out at all. Outstanding and with her energy, she makes this ok e worth coming back again. The food is super delicious and pricy but the service is worth coming back again. The atmosphere is sophisticated and spacious. We came on a Thursday night which was great and we were sitted right away. Nutshell: this is not a serious restaurant, but they're charging serious prices. I don't understand the positive reviews. Service experience on par with a sports bar. Overall sense of going through the motions, cruising on a beautiful location. Food quality unremarkable. Service was polite and competent, not very attentive to details, little discipline or professionalism - noone asked about a second round of drinks, slow to prebuss the table, brought a box for leftovers rather than offer to pack it for us. The staff were there to make their money and clock out. Starters ordered as a main for one in our party with dietary restrictions came out ten to fifteen minutes before the rest of the entrees, which themselves came out staggered and under or overdone. Staff member who brought the food auctioned off the plates rather than knowing where they should go. Server dropped the check without mentioning dessert. As we left I asked a bartender for a toothpick - no dice. Bathrooms were unattended and dirty. To be clear, I despise Yelp on principle (industry) and I never write reviews, as it's generally cruel and unfair. I don't usually go to places like this but I didn't pick it. Whoever owns/operates Dosalas should take more care or take it more seriously. Sure, running a restaurant isn't curing cancer or anything, but some people work hard for their money. I detest this hackneyed close, but it unfortunately sums the experience best - we won't be back. Management - please don't waste your time by responding to this review with another boilerplate show of contrition. I'd rather delete the review than give you a platform to telegraph disingenuous concern.
