But there are other restaurants I've been to for a long time at same location and the prices at all the other restaurants are very competitive and give you decent size "normal" portions. Food quality: for what you pay and the way the place looks you'd expect way better quality food. Meat was all fat and no flavor. Presentation looked good though. I think this place focuses more on presentation rather than actual quality. Got something with what looked like a sliced bell pepper of some sort on one of the meals, wife and I ate it while thinking it wouldn't be spicy. Well waiter later said we ate a habanero lol. Our mouths were burning for a good 10 min. Btw, no food for kids. Drinks: Can never go wrong with beer haha. But margarita (they call it something else) we so-so. Ambience is great, but the food and drinks are so overpriced just because of the location. Food is mediocre at best nothing special. You can go to portland, OR and go to restaurants there that have top chefs and that have been featured on food/cooking channels and have been awarded their great tasting food that is a lot cheaper than this place. This is my new place to bring family and friends to when they're in town visiting. The dining experience is amazing! The vibe in the restaurant is upbeat and perfect for a date night. The cocktails are amazing and the food is even better! There were multiple items on the menu that we tasted, and immediately put in a second order. The crab toast was one of my favorites along with the pork belly skewers. I highly recommend the salmon or paella for an entree. I've seen reviews of people complaining about the prices, but this is NOT a cheap dining experience. You're paying for an upscale restaurant, and the quality of the food and drinks speaks for the price. I came to this place without high expectations due to reviews and previous bad experience of an acquaintance but I'm glad I didn't let that stop me from experiencing this place myself because my experience was good and my family and I enjoyed it. I had a reservation for 5 people and got seated within 10 min of checking in. The place was pretty, very Instagramable. We ordered the drinks and food pictured here (not pictured the Mexican street corn). Most food came first before our cocktails. It is tapas style which means everything is shareable which I like, but to be honest, most servings are enough for one person (or maybe I just eat alot). The only one in my opinion that is shareable because it was a lot, was the paella. Everything was really good and seasoned nicely. I really liked the yellowtail ceviche. It's refreshing. The crab toast was creamy and also delicious. The lamb (3 pieces) was seasoned and cooked well to our liking. The salmon was cooked well but not dry and I really liked the grains that came with it. The one food item I didn't really like was the Mexican street corn. We felt that it was too salty (and I like to eat salty food, but the one we got was too salty). The drinks were also good. My mom ordered coco Chanel which she enjoyed. I had the beautiful pear basil. It was good, you can't taste the alcohol at all but I expected to at least feel something. I'm lightweight when it comes to cocktail drinks, so much so that I get tipsy after drinking a cup of Costco brand margarita, and this one didn't do nothing. It's pretty to look at, refreshing drink but if you're looking to feel something, get something else. We also ordered a flight of margarita which was good as well. Our overall experience was good. The drinks are a bit too pricey for something that didn't even get me to feel anything but the food was good. I'd for sure come back here to try other items on the menu. read more

I am loving DosAlas, the new Tequila bar on the waterfront. The venue is stunning, very fresh and modern. The staff is beyond friendly, everyone was welcoming and I could see their smiles through their masks. Everyone seemed to be really excited to be there. The food came out as it was ready and we shared it, family style, as it came out. We tried pretty much everything on the brunch menu and it was all good. Our favorites were the Huevos Rancheros Verde, the Cauliflower Sando, and the Dulce De Leche French Toast. We can't wait to go back and try the dinner menu! read more

The Dosalas patio has some of the best views of the Columbia River at the Waterfront. We went there for lunch on a sunny, March Saturday. I made reservations and we were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant is beautiful. Very romantic and hip. The view of the river and bridges is fantastic and the counter-top fireplace along the bar kept the space warm toasty. We didn't sit at the bar, we were at a nearby table, but the ambient heat kept us comfortable. I was a bit disappointed that we weren't able to sit along the front of the patio (with the best views) because we were a party of two and there were only four tops. This would have been understandable on a busy day, but many of the four tops remained empty the entire we were there. We arrived during brunch, so we didn't get try the tapas, but we each enjoyed our sandwiches. I had the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. The chicken was cooked nicely, the bun was pillow-soft, and the spice was perfect. I'm not into spicy food and didn't feel this was too much spice for my palette. My husband had the Pressed Cuban and said it was very good. The portions are small, which didn't bother us, but if you have a big appetite, you may want to order a few dishes to share. Tapas, brunch style. We ordered wine but enjoyed watching the "Instagram-worthy" drinks go by. The one that stood out as it passed by was 'The Kylie', served in a golden birdcage. Our only complaint was that the waiter rushed us out. I was still working on my sandwich when he came over, asked if we wanted dessert or the bill. I didn't know if I would want dessert because I WAS STILL EATING my sandwich, but he seemed so ready to be rid of us, so we just asked for the check. As we were paying, we noticed he had a large party sit down in his station so maybe that's why he wanted us gone. Understandable but we aren't high maintenance guests and would have liked to linger in the space and finish our meal and drinks at more leisurely pace. All in all though, the experience was great and I would recommend a visit. We'll be back for a romantic dinner at sunset. read more

Drinks are fire and appetizers are perfect. The food is always right, hot, tasty and full with flavor. My wife and I have been here probably about 5 times. First and foremost the restaurant interior design is STUNNING. It's something new and modern that the Portland/Vancouver needed for sure! This place gave me a Miami vibe and the view is stunning, also there is a lot of Instagram worthy backgrounds here. Staff were very nice and attentive, our waitress Allison was awesome! The food came out so quickly while being a busy establishment, we couldn't even keep up lol DRINKS - the guava lavender was my favorite has the sweet & sour citrus flavor. So where to begin. We came to Dosalas to celebrate birthdays with family and friends. It was the first time at Dosalas and although the food was delicious I may not be coming back. At the time the reservations were made we were unaware that we had been seated in the 21 and over area. So when we arrived we had to be reseated. However, the area we were seated was less than ideal. The sunset was directly in our company's eyes and there was no sun shade to relieve the sun rays. The location was also in front of the kitchen which made it impossible for the server to serve the entree at table side. We addressed our concern to the staff which offered for the party to move , yet again but by this time our meals where on the table and when one is paying at or above 100.00 an entree the individual or individuals should not have to move to be comfortable. I believe if you are charging the prices you are charging you should not have to worry if where you sit you will be comfortable or not. Our server was somewhat attentive. We asked for water refills numerous times and it wasn't until after dessert that we had water served to us. The staff who served the entrees were friendly. So for these reasons I may not be back. read more

Bad. Food dramatically over-salted, I actually gave this place one more chance and this was still the case. The servers are kind and personable, but not polished. Moreover they were unwilling to bring out any of the dishes we ordered in courses. You just order a bunch of their pricey small plates and they bring them out when each one is ready, no consideration given to the pacing of the meal. Way too loud of music otherwise ambience would score highly. Would not recommend to anyone, except people who want to feel cool being seen there, or to take instagram photos. read more

These negative reviews are NUTS. And so far from the experience we had tonight! We originally checked out Dos Alas because I kept seeing social media posts by the owners... and I was so excited to try! The service was SO quick. We got our food in less than 10 minutes. And the food tasted SO FRESH. Our server (short blonde hair) was super helpful and had tons of recommendations. We were able to get a seat on the patio without requesting it (got lucky!) after calling ahead. The hostess did let us know that we'd have to wait a few hours to be seated, so we spent some time at the waterfront which was fun! The chipotle chicken sandwich and street corn are TO DIE FOR. Literally! We also got the crab toast and cheese bread , both good as well, but the sandwich and corn shocked me with how much I liked them. I like to note that I am an EXTREMELY picky eater.... and these were SO amazing. The sandwich portion was also a perfect size to share. Gorgeous views. The good: We went on a Friday night with reservations for 7 pm. Two couples. We were seated promptly at a window table with a stunning view. Service was great. Food quality was excellent. Ordered a sizable number of dishes so we could try a wide variety. We all thought the cauliflower was amazing as was the ceviche and street corn. Drinks were yummy and fun. The not so good: Price point was exorbitant for the quantity. We knew that tapas style dishes would be on the smaller side but you are spending $8-$30 for tiny appetizers. Drinks were $15-20 each. They have a steak for $150. Like others' reviews here we left still hungry and after spending $180 per couple after tipping. The evening started out really fun but we left feeling like we were being bled dry by the prices. For the amount of money we spent we all agreed that we should be really full. Not sure if we will go a second time. There are other places nearby with similar views at much lower price points. read more

Have come here several times over the last couple years to try and find the appeal. Finally decided to give my opinion. The place is nice inside for sure, from the dining to the bar to the patio. It's definitely a place to dress up and be seen. I've sat in all 3 locations (restaurant/bar/patio) and had the best service at the bar. One patio visit, on a dead night in December, the service was horrible. I had a salad that came out when you'd bring an app and we then waited 30 min for my date's food even after inquiring after a 20 min wait. Anyway, I can't recall all the dishes I've had there, but the ones I recall: Harvest Salad - it was ok, not exceptional Baked Queso- I didn't care for this. It was very strong/sharp and blah. Yes, I know it's cheese, one being sharp cheddar but it was just that, no mix of other flavors at all and I don't know where the chili flake flavor was...it was missing. Tempura cauliflower- THIS was delicious. Nice sized pieces done well and they went divinely with the chipotle aioli. All in all, if friends want to keep going back, I will go but I never suggest it. read more

I'm giving this review 2 stars because at least our pear basil cocktail was delicious. My sister and I came for dinner last night and wanted to try one of the shareable meals and ordered the Sofrito Seafood Scampi. It was underwhelming to say the least. First let me start with the baby scallops that were advertised as COLOSSAL, not the case. Secondly, the grilled lobsters were underdone and unable to release from the shells without having to manhandle them. Not good. Third, the shrimp tasted like something the Chef ran down to Albertsons and picked up on sale. Awful for the 99.00 menu price. I won't even mention the almost raw cauliflower that did not belong in this dish, it added nothing! Finally the "soft breadstick" sliced in half was advertised as a Herb Crusted Baguette. I felt like it was an Olive Garden breadstick, which you'd never catch me eating. This place is so beautiful and feel this is more for a great craft cocktail and some appetizers since those were actually yummy. read more

Boy. Seems like there's a love hate relationship with this place. Unfortunately, I tend toward the latter. Yes, a group of 5 of us went shortly after their grand opening but I've not been inspired to return given the mixed reviews, which is a bummer since I'm so close by. Didn't have the tequila I wanted on their menu and mixed up our drinks. Then the salads were super soggy and the timing of all the food seemed off, even though it's supposed to be more share plate style. Not sure if if I'll give it another try or not. Spendy for what you get, as others have mentioned. And I'm not a fan of the LA/Miami vibe decor. read more
