I was very excited about trying out this restaurant and what a better day to do that than Mother's Day. Made a reservation and took my Girlfriend and our daughter. Reservation ready at 5:45pm. I really liked the vibe of this restaurant, very Dubai looking. I ordered DOSALAS PAELLA for 2 and the pork belly skewers. Waitress came back minutes later to let us know they ran out of it. (Also the empanadas). So I had to change my order and decided to go for the grilled octopus which was significantly more expensive, but my girl wanted it so wanted to treat her. We received our drinks, but they forgot our daughter's juice. Took some time to get that. Eventually, we waited for so long and the waitress kept coming back to our table to apologize and said the kitchen was backed up since earlier because of the holiday. I even mentioned if they have some bread so we can all eat while waiting as our toddler was getting hungry and finished her snacks we brought. She brought us the Brazilian cheese bread. Of course it wasn't complimentary even after we had to wait for over 45 min to get the grilled octopus which came cold. After finishing that, it was 7pm which was over an hour wait and we were still waiting for the paella. The waitress looked embarrassed our food still wasn't ready and we noticed her going around and apologizing to other guests for their wait of food. Eventually our daughter couldn't sit any longer and was too hungry so my girlfriend decided to take our daughter to the car not to disturb people eating around us. I stayed waiting for our Paella (to Go). Bottom line, I got to my table at 545p. Ordered the Paella at 6pm and finally got my PAELLA (to Go!) At 730! Yes I was there almost 2 hours. I had to make the decision to ask to make it TO GO because my daughter was grumpy because she was hungry and she was getting very loud. I don't think the kitchen was ready for a Mother's Day holiday. I tried surprising my girlfriend for her day and I felt like it was a big disappointment. I was about to ask to cancel my order of Paella but we were all hungry and already waited for almost 2 hours. I felt bad for the waitress. She kept coming back to apologize, but at that point I was expecting a MANAGER to do that him/herself. But that never happened. I felt like I overpaid for this meal because I wasted almost 2 hours of my day and I ended up taking the Paella to go and had to warm it up when we got home for my girlfriend, daughter and I. I'm not sure their system for follow up on their leads, which manager makes sure to follow up with the lead either but calling over three weeks in a row to get a call back from the larger party booker is ridiculous. I was instructed to simply call the restaurant by the coordinator, then each time I've spoken to someone I've been told then can't book my party. My name is already written down because each person had also confirmed my name. But no confirmation on my actual booking until the coordinator calls me back. I've been here before. The food is great and so is the atmosphere. However if you can't get concrete systems in place or very strong follow through then it's going to overshadow everything else. I had a party of 13 and if it's that much of a hassle to call me back or leave a VM or email me back then the priority is not retention . I have been calling since January to book for march. Enough time to secure our party. I even emailed the coordinator again who originally directed me to call the restaurant. I don't know if I need to speak to a manager but I'm starting with a review hopefully I can get some type of response read more

KEVIN is amazing! He took over the table since the waitress was over booked and (I think he was the manager) I can't remember but he was so sweet, and so accommodating. I've honestly never had better service at a restaurant. I think Kevin deserves to be recognized for how well he took care of my friend and I that night! He even offered us a half shot of the house tequila, which was pretty good!! At one point there was a group of gentlemen offering to pay for our drinks and food, Kevin told us more then once if we need him to just let him know. In case we felt a little uncomfortable with the guys who paid for our things. He said he would even walk us to our cars! This company tries to extract more out of their customers by randomly adding a 2% feee at the end. To avoid you being aware of the increased prices, they add the fee to make you purchase and eat the food first. This is becoming illegal in other states. Be careful here! read more

The atmosphere is a 10/10. What's horrible is that everytime I look at their menu, their prices increase. Empanadas went from $13 to $16 to now $18. They've revamped the menu to make you spend an absurd amount of money to get remotely full. They removed any items off the menu that were reasonable priced. They used to have entrees in the $25-$35 range that would fill you up. They've been removed. The owners are clearly hungry for money and their menu reflects it. It was 5/5 in its opening year. If I could give them zero stars I would. I had very high expectations for this place; it looks nice, the service was good, and it's a nice location. I have dined here twice, ordered the ancho-rubbed salmon and both times it was RAW!!! When we got sat at our table outside, their was literally someone's whole meal on the ground swept under the table. Disgusting. Had to awkwardly stand their while they went to get a broom to sweep it up. The appetizers were sub par, not worth the price. Also the chips that came with the guac were stale. We recently moved up from Miami/Fort Lauderdale. This restaurant is very similar to the vibe in Miami, upscale, trendy and great ambiance. They made an amazing Pisco Sour and the tequila tasting was a plus. It's a little pricey but, it's really the only game in town for this type of establishment. I have been to Dosalas In the past with a work group and really enjoyed it. Feels like vacation, and was a fun experience. This time, I went to celebrate a 15 year old's birthday and was sadly disappointed. I asked if the chef could make my 10 year old a child portion of butter noodles.... If you are a parent, you know that this is an extremely common request, and in all the restaurants that I have eaten anywhere in the world, I have had that request honored without a blink of an eye... until today, when the flustered server had to go ask the chef if such a request was possible, and then came back to the table to tell me that if I wanted a child size portion of butter noodles, they would have to charge me $35, the same price as their fettuccine entree, which is an adult size with veggies, shrimp etc. it was a laughable moment, and we of course declined the order. The food and drinks we did order were good, but the whole experience was overshadowed by the audacity of telling us we would have to pay $35 for kids noodles. I can tell you that I have eaten in many a 5 star restaurant, and this was just an obvious reminder that you are not that. Your sparkly decor and pretty staff don't mask your new money vibes. We were looking forward to a wonderful meal after rave reviews at Dosalas. The restaurant is beautiful, and the hostesses and waitress were very nice. However, our friends received their meal 30 min before we did, despite the fact that both my husband and friend ordered salads, my husbands being a Caesar with salmon, which was not that spectacular, and lightly dressed. Cactus Ya Ya's is 100 percent better. Our friend had a quinoa salad with chicken, with very little quinoa, and farro. The lamb chops were skimpy, and although my chicken was flavorful, no better then any other restaurant. The highlight was my spicy margarita, and the guacamole. Our friends ordered one piece of cake, which came 25 min later. Perhaps an off night, but a very expensive one, and we are not sure we would go back. read more

It was a not so great lunch experience. The waitress knocked a water glass over and it exploded on the table. My companions got some tiny glass splinters in their hands. We moved to a new table and when same waitress replaced water glasses she poured my water onto table and in my lap! Then when we ordered cocktails (which took over 20 min to get and restaurant was over 1/2 empty!)) she told me they may be out of what I ordered. Fine no worries but she WAITED until she brought everyone else's drinks to tell me they were out of mine, so I had to wait another 20 min. And when same waitress cleared the plates she spilled some food on my friend's arm. The prices are really high and I'm not sure it's worth it for absolutely no acknowledgement of the rotten service we got. read more

All you're paying for here is the decor of this place, it's a beautiful spot to enjoy but the food is just so small portioned, un filling and overpirced. You will not feel satisfied eating here. I spent way too much and left with a hungry stomach. I love the Latin kitchen idea, but it's just not it. I just visited a new restaurant in portland owned by a very known chef and the prices matched the experience. This place shouldn't be charging $20+ for cocktails and pricing on food is just not up to par with what was delivered. Service was fantastic, our waitress was so kind. However, the drinks are so underwhelming and lackluster. I got their pina colada, and it tasted of solely pineapple juice, like there wasn't a single drop of alcohol in it. The waitress informed me that the pina colada is made in batches, which is insane for a $22 cocktail. Our other cocktails were okay, but for a $20 cocktails to use liquor like Bacardi is again insane. I definitely would only recommend coming here to feel like you're in Vegas, except the quality of beverages is significantly less. I would love to pay $20+ for an artisan cocktail with premium ingredients, but that's just not what they serve here. Definitely more gimmicky than actually good read more

Pooped in with my boyfriend on 4th of July and was taken aback by the ambiance and the classic bar in the middle of the restaurant which was very inviting. We were greeted by Gracielo who took exceptional care of us start to finish both drinks she made for us were not on menu and tasted excellent. Beautiful view, excellent service, good food. The steak salad had tons of perfectly cooked meat and very tasty. The only downfall was the fire pit was on and it was super hot because it was lunchtime and the weather outside was nice so I was super hot sitting on the open air deck. We only ordered small plates and the baked queso was meh as was the quacemole plate. Drinks are outrageously NY/LA price expensive.
