This place just opened where Kim's chicken used to be. I was kind of skeptic about visiting but I noticed a lot of cars so after a few days, I decided to check it out. Interior looks just like the old restaurant. The menu showed a lot of different sushi courses as well as some Chinese and Korean dishes. I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki togo which took about 5-10minutes to make. There wasn't really much chicken though. It was also not as hot as it should be. I live about less than 5min away so there's no way it would get cold that fast. Dish was mediocre since it looked like they just microwaved the food and added some store bought sauce. It's worth the wait! If you don't feel like waiting, order online, or for big orders, get it delivered. I order from here regularly (either online, delivery or through the drive through) and have always had good service and piping hot, flavor filled food. I usually order the Spicy Korean Ramen which is awesome! Out of all of the times I've ordered it, there was only 1 time that the noodles were a bit soggy from being added to the soup a little too early. Normally when you get it to go, the noodles are separate from the broth, which is ideal! The level of spice is perfect in my opinion (for someone who enjoys spicy food because of the flavor). If you're sensitive to spicy food, then the Spicy Korean Ramen is definitely not for you. I did try the Japanese Ramen one day, and it wasn't bad, but it wasn't as bold of a flavor as the Korean version. I also recommend the sushi. I honestly don't eat the raw sushi, but the cooked sushi and fried sushi's are good. The deep fried sushi is like anything else deep fried - better fresh. That's one item I wouldn't recommend ordering out and waiting to eat. It's better in person, right outta the kitchen. I recently tried the lo mein, and it was good, but not the best I've ever had. The flavor, noodles and sauce were spot on, I just wish it had more veggies (as I ordered the veg lo mein). I was really excited when this place opened since its down the road from where I work. My first issue was with the size of seaweed salad. The menu says bowl size and I recived a cup size. 8oz.... Not worth the $3.50 I would expect to pay at least $1.50 for the amount of salad I got... Second is the sushi. I just ordered some salmon rolls and they barely used amy salmon... Again not happy. I ordered via their website for pickup on a Friday night. Their third party system sent an email stating my meal was ready for pick up. I drove to the restaurant and walked in--and first of all, the restaurant smells like a port-a-potty. I'm so thankful I was ordered to-go, because I wouldn't have been able to stomach the smell. When I arrived they couldn't find my order. Then it was discovered that the woman working the counter gave my order to someone else. She told a woman, who I assume was an owner or a manager of some sorts, that the person had confirmed the order. The owner/manager said that the counter woman should verify names--and then her story changed and she said she did verify the name? I was standing there this whole time as they're shuffling papers around and arguing with one another. I said, "can y'all just make a new order because I don't have my meal." But the manager/owner kept saying it had already been picked up--which I totally understood, but explained again that I didn't have my meal and it wasn't me to fault that it had been given to another customer. She suggested I call their third party ordering service to request a refund--to which I asked, "can't y'all just make a new order since I never got mine." Eventually, a man came out of the kitchen and said he'd make my order. To top that off, in the middle of the COVID-19 situation no one was wearing any sort of PPE. read more

If i could do a review with no starts at all i would!!! I ordered online which was cool option but the wait was long between 60-70 mins ETA, but with looking at pics figured it would be worth it. Wrong!! First the delivery was over 15 minutes late then when opened everything was NOT FRESH...Miso soup had no tofu, no seaweed, not even onions. It literally was just flavored water not even flavored properly. I got vegetable tempura which was the closest thing you being correct but even that was soggy and barely got any sauce top dunk it in...then when finishing going through shashimi bento box i noticed i didn't even recieve the salad that out supposed to come with nor was anything fresh! The fish looked hella old there was barely any cucumber or avocado in the California roll and the seaweed salad looks like it's been sitting quite some time. I can honestly say i have eaten at MANY, sushi restaurants and this id's truly the worst experience i have ever had...then on top of that i call the restaurant and speak to the manager he acted like he didn't even care i even explained that i didn't even get my regular salad he said it didn't come with it and that he would talk to the chief....after this whole experience i STRONGLY STRONGLY suggest looking elsewhere for your sushi...is defintely no where near worth the price nor is the service read more

Usually order from doordash but I was in the area and came in person. Food is very hit or miss sometimes the rice and chicken seems super old (guess it depends on who is cooking?) when I was picking up my food I noticed when the door would swing open that the cooks were NOT wearing gloves!!!! This was the worst example of Japanese food I have ever seen. I decided to order the salmon. When the chef overheard he said it would not look like the picture on the menu and seemed upset when I went ahead with the order. What I was presented with looked like salmon shaped wood. It looked deep fried and was very crunchy. I also ordered miso soup and it was fine but how could they mess that up. It all came with instant rice that I did not eat. My husband ordered lo mein which came in an unusual slimey sauce and was not very flavorful. He also got a honey glazed shrimp which was the best thing ordered. While discretely discussing our horrible meal we were being swarmed by flies that wanted our food. I think this place is great. The sushi is fresh and there's an awesome variety. I've only gotten it once and it was through delivery. They forgot my soup on the general chicken bento that I ordered but aside from that the flavors were on point. The temperature was good and I very much enjoyed my meal overall. I think the price is a good value for what all is included in the bento meal even if they upcharge for fried rice and forgot my soup. The fried rice upcharge and the forgotten soup are the only reasons I didn't give 5 stars. I'll definitely order again or even visit at some point. The food is pretty good; that's not the problem. The issue is with their service. I've given this place several chances hoping each previous experience was a fluke. That doesn't seem to be the case. My worst experience was one evening I went there an hour before closing time. I said that I wanted to place an order and the guy tells me, "well we're really busy right now" and then looks down at the floor trying not to make eye contact. I asked puzzled, "so I can't make an order?" He says, "well, you can but" and shrugs. The employee obviously did not want me to place an order so I left. I left kind of shocked that a business would operate like that. On every other occasion I've ordered from there the ladies working the register were not friendly at all. One young lady never even acknowledged me; I just had to start ordering. She keyed in my order and eventually said, "thank you". I've also had to wait, what seems to be, an awfully long time time for my food as well so I wouldn't suggest going there on an hour lunch break or less. Lastly, I've ordered food from here twice now using a food delivery service and both times I've waited about 30 minutes just to find out my order was cancelled. Now, this may be the fault of the delivery service, but during the first incident I mentioned above, while I was waiting to (unsuccessfully) place an order, the same guy was having a conversation with someone one on the phone on how to cancel a delivery. Keep in mind these are just my experiences. Each interaction with DoshiRock has left me leaving there amazed at how terrible the service was and drove me to create an account here just so I could write a review about it. I wish that wasn't the case because the food is actually pretty good. Even a smile and a "hi/hello" would be a serious improvement from what I've seen. Thanks for reading folks. read more

I am not one to write reviews often. Zero stars for this place. I will never order from this place ever again. I ordered this evening at 5:30 for delivery through seamless. I ordered general chicken, crab Rangoon, and the baked salmon roll. The delivery guy showed up at 7pm and after getting it, I realized it was a completely WRONG order. They gave me 4 different sushi rolls. Nothing from my order. Then I proceeded to call the restaurant. The lady acts like she doesn't know what Seemless was and couldn't find my order. Then she puts me on the phone with someone else and she says the delivery guy got my order switched up. She then told me not to eat any of the wrong order I received and that my order would be delivered again. I got a call again from her at about 7:25 saying the delivery guy was on his way, I told her I wanted a refund at that point as they were still trying to deliver my same order from 2 HOURS ago, not fresh at all! They did not even make me a new order. And no way I should have to pay a $8 delivery fee plus a tip fee after all that, to get 2.5 hour old food. So she told me to call seamless to get my refund. I did. Then I get a knock at my door and the delivery guy wanted to pick up the wrong order food!!! Are you kidding me?? Why would they even give that sushi that was delivered to the wrong person to someone else??? It was in my home for over 2 hours, not fresh at all! I did not even open ANY of the sushi roll containers, but did put them in the fridge to keep fresh. So I handed over the 2.5 hour old sushi rolls. THEN I get another call from the restaurant lady BLAMING me for messing up the WRONG order food that was delivered to me!!! She said the delivery guy said it was messed up when he picked it up! Are you freaking kidding me? I didn't even touch ANY of it!! And the fact that they still had to come pick the food pack up appalls me! Then the lady proceeds to tell me "oh I'm on your side, that's just what the driver told me. You did nothing wrong". Do NOT order from this place. So happy to have found this place! Japanese food delivered!!! Sweet! Since going vegan, we haven't experienced really fresh sushi in years. We tried some versions of veggie rolls, at quick pre-packaged grab & go stations, but most were disappointing and offered not so fresh or artificially infused ingredients! A big tell, is the pink dyed ginger. Authentic, fresh ginger will be beige or yellow in color. Who needs neurotoxic red dye? Anyway, recently we discovered that some delivery services showed Japanese restaurants offering vegan options. So after trying a couple of other sushi style restaurants, I must say that DoshiRock definitely offers the best vegan-friendly options, so far! We're so impressed with this place! The delivery was within the time range and the food is fresh. They even offer Vegan Bento! It's awesome! It comes with veggie tempura, a salad, miso soup and three, yes, that's 3 different hearty sized veggie sushi rolls in a nicely sealed compartmental container. Real sushi with mixed veggies, not just two or three ingredients, several veggies! ~ And the ginger isn't dyed; it's fresh, too! We also like to order the edamame, which is delicious and fresh! Plus, the sea weed salad is also super fresh each time we've tried them. One can tell if the sea weed salad is even just a day old, since it will become slimy. Which I think is gross. Fresh sea weed salad shouldn't be slimy, yet have a mixture of soft flexibility with some crispness to certain sea weed varieties. It looks like they might have three varieties in their salad, which provides a nice array of healthy beneficial nutrients. We can taste the care that they put into their food and know that we are getting great nutritive value for the reasonably priced meals we've ordered here! Plus, they delivered it right to our door.
