This was the best breakfast I've had in a while! I had the daily special - Eggs Benedict, it was delicious. Everything about it was perfect. Writing this review over a week later and it is still fresh in my memory! My husband had an omelette and it was packed full. We both had hash browns, the potato's were grated a little wider than most restaurants and it worked - those were yummy as well. Top it off with good coffee and a friendly staff. Nice server, but it was 7:30am, there was only one waitress, clearly overwhelmed. She wasn't rude to us, but definitely frustrated. Food was just okay. Prices reasonable. Table clean, but overall appearance unkempt. Nothing special. read more

Great little dive with fantastic breakfast food at low prices. We came in for breakfast before starting our road trip for the day. We each had the breakfast sandwich and it was more than enough food to keep our tummies satisfied until the afternoon! The other plates being brought out from the kitchen were all massive so they definitely don't skimp on food! The servers were all very friendly and attentive too. Our water and coffee cups never saw empty. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for down home breakfast food! read more

So disappointed in this restaurant after reading the reviews. My husband said his eggs (over easy) toast and hashbrowns were okay, that's why I gave it a 2. For me it was a 1. I ordered a scrambled egg and it came out flat like a pancake. It wasn't scrambled, just mixed and from how it tasted there was nothing added, as there was no taste. My hashbrowns were burned. And I should have know better than to order biscuits and gravy. I'm from the south where they know how to make them. The gravy had a sweet flavor to it which didn't taste right. I barely ate my breakfast... about 2 bites of everything. The funny part is that I am really not a fussy eater. On the plus side, the service was good and the people friendly. Unlike Indian Creek Cafe, the staff here wasn't very friendly. Kind of short and a little impersonal...well, at least with me. Friendly as all git-up with the regular patrons though. Perhaps it was because I was the only one in there sporting an L.A. Dodgers cap... or maybe because I was the only one in there sporting dark skin, dark hair and dark eyes? I don't know. The food was pretty bland. I eat Paleo style but I allowed myself to cheat a little being that I'm on an 800 mile road trip. I regret cheating on my diet. It wasn't worth it. Don't mean to be mean, but this is what my experience was like here. I'd say go the extra mile and head up to Indian Creek Cafe. Much better. read more

we were seated quickly and our server brought us water and coffee in minutes. from there it seems like today was certainly not representative of our last visit. my first grilled tuna was served barely warm. the toast was grilled but the cheese wasn't even warmed/melted, and the tuna was room temp. i sent it back, and asked for a regular tuna sandwich if the cook was unable to make a 'grilled tuna.' well, this second sandwich did not contain the same tuna mixture - it was 75 percent chopped dill pickle. hubby's denver omelet was hot, but seemed overly stuffed with tasty ingredients without enough egg to wrap it - didn't seem like 3 eggs. the hash browns were grilled on the outside, but room temp on the inside. we probably won't be back for a l-o-n-g time.... read more

We have been staying in Gold Beach for some time now and have had several great choices for breakfast. My favorite is the Denver omelette. I have had this meal several times and have never been disappointed. Friday I had the daily special which was Fish & Chips. (look for a picture) It was the best Fish & Chips that my wife & I have found here along the coast. The service as always was super friendly and prompt even thought the restaurant was packed. Today we overheard the cooks signing in the kitchen. This is a very family friendly place. read more

Great place. Very friendly server, ordered the country fried steak and eggs, server recommended it with pork instead of beef. Think pork tenderloin smothered in sausage gravy, so tender you don't need teeth to eat this. Sausage gravy had wonderful flavor. Large quantity of deliciousness. read more

Stayed in Gold Beach for the night and decided on Double D's for breakfast. It was a great friendly family atmosphere. The ladies were awesome and the food was great too. I had the chicken fried steak (not on the menu, but you could ask for it) and my mom had eggs Benedict. Both came with homemade hash browns. We had plenty of food for sure! I would absolutely recommend Double D's. oh they had great coffee and offered flavored creamer (which is a must for me)! read more

My daughter has been having bacon burgers this whole trip and said this one was her favorite. The fries were okay, I was hoping they'd be a little crisper. Breakfast sandwiches were good as was the chicken fried steak. Also got root beer floats and a shake. They were huge and delicious! Would definitely go back. Our favorite breakfast place on the southern Oregon coast - we stop in at least twice a year on our trips up the coast. We have had their oatmeal a few times and it's the best we've had at any restaurant. Stopped in for a lunch date with my daughter. We both wanted a good burger. We got what we came for! It was about 11:15 so when the place had only two tables of people I was worried. My worry was misplaced because Double Ds was a great discovery for us. The staff was very nice, accommodating to my daughter, and let her put a pin in their map for the town we moved her from. The restaurant was clean and so were the bathrooms. The burger I ordered was delicious and they have very good fries. My daughter decided on breakfast for lunch and she said it was delicious also. Neither of the ladies were rude about the syrup mess my little BG made all over the table or when she spilled her water glass. I think we found a great local place to find our good burger and good breakfast. read more

Saturday Morning 9:30 AM, Food was your basic cafe breakfast food. The reason for the 3 stars was the service was slow and forgetful. The place was busy and not super clean it felt kind of dirty to us. The bathroom needed attention and grossed me out. Refills for coffee were like pulling teeth, asked twice for water finally when we were ready to leave here comes the water. Our server was overwhelmed and I would recommend that they hire additional staff. We will try again during the week I think things should hopefully be better on a slower day.
