My food came out cold and the bacon was under cooked for my taste. A few suggestions, add salt and pepper to the table. As a regular at this café basically on a first-name basis with the espresso machine and half the staff, I felt the need to speak up after reading a nasty review. The food here is always fresh, the coffee's strong enough to fix your life, and the staff? Truly some of the kindest, most professional people you'll meet. If you're after something that shows up in under 60 seconds, there's a vending machine at the gas station down the street. This place has been blowing up on tiktok, so I had to check it out. We arrived before 8:30 AM, and they opened their doors on time. FIRST; thing I noticed was their lack of management / organization skills. Although we were all greeted at the door, we were not given any instructions as we all entered the building. Some people walked towards the back of the restaurant (following a random employee), others to the host stand where they were handed menus, and some to empty tables. We didn't know if we had to order at the back counter, host station, or wait to be seated. Employees waited to be approached before letting anyone know that it was self seating. Employees lacked initiative. Made everyone confused, this caused disorder in the sense that people that were in line earlier than others would not be tended to in order.... NOT cool!!! Second; the menu has a good variety of dishes, and the food is decently priced. (From what we saw, they don't serve alcohol but do have drinks like lemonades and berries etc) We ordered the Dutch baby, and chorizo skillet. The server let us know right away that on top of what we'd be waiting for our food, there would be an additional 30 mins for the Dutch baby because it takes longer to make. I didn't mind since i really wanted to try the dish. The chorizo skillet on its own is a must! It's packed with flavor. It comes with black beans (would be better with pinto), tomato, cilantro, red onion, chorizo, and green flour tortillas. 10/10 love it! The Dutch baby on the other hand was underwhelming and skimpy portioned. Didn't look like advertised, not made correctly. It was a pancake, but smelled and tasted like a crepe with berries. My dish was missing the pecans, brown sugar, and syrup, but there was no server to request it from... We also order their horchata latte, one iced, and one hot, and tbh they tasted a lot better than expected. Third; after sitting at our table for about 20 mins, someone from management did let us know they are currently in their "soft launch" stages, and that their service would be slow as they are still getting the flow of things. We thanked them for letting us know and decided to stay. UPDATE: after reading other reviews, I did find out that they've been opened for 4 months now, which makes me view their customer service from a different perspective...... I did go back and drop another star for that.. we were there for around 2 hours, and were the third couple in line when they opened... Aside from that, our server was not that great, she was slow, and would constantly disappear. What I did notice was a lack of servers for the amount of customers. There was an older lady just walking around, talking to customers, not really doing much to help the servers which I found odd. As a former server, if a restaurant is busy, so should every employee. We had to request assistance from the busboy who already was going above and beyond to serve drinks. Knowing now how long they've been in business, I can say their customer service is bad. Fourth; the restaurant is a little different than whats popular in the area, even though it's in its "early" stages of opening (according to an employee) it has a lot of potential. It just needs an experienced leader, cus at the moment there doesn't seem to be one. (Girls restroom was clean) Ps. I'm not sure if they have a designated parking lot, but we parked around the corner on the street. Overall:: idk if we'll be going back, I wasn't expecting to give them such a low rating. Both the skillet and coffees were perfect! But missing ingredients on a dish that took 1 hour to deliver, lack of management and structure within the restaurant is just off putting. My overall experience was lackluster, and here's why: Ordered the strawberry fields matcha, which came out extremely watered down. The waitress was kind enough to give a replacement with a different requested drink. We ordered two dishes, both of which taking 30 minutes to come out with only one other table in the restaurant. The panini steak sandwich came out with the wrong type of fries that I didn't order. The sandwich also only had meat at the front of it, so 75% off the sandwich was bread and veggies. Mind you, the sandwich was $19. The chicken and waffles I ordered was mediocre, tasting like the chicken came from a store bought bag, and the waffles from a box. I also needed to request butter on the side, as none came out with the food. The food overall was overpriced for what was received. The total came out to $57 for two dishes and two drinks. The only redeemable quality of this experience was the pumpkin spice, and Nutella lattes. EDIT: Response to Rar G. I appreciate the prompt reply. That shows somewhat of a willingness to work with your customers regarding their grievances. However, it seems as though you're equating a finished meal to a satisfactory experience. We happened to be in a time crunch with no spare time to find another restaurant to eat at after waiting 30+ minutes to receive our food. I'm trying to come at this from a purely objective perspective in hopes to help your business. This meal can be described as nothing more than sustenance. Which definitely deserves the term "lackluster" considering the prices for each dish. I hope you take this criticism and apply it logically to improve your business rather than taking it emotionally as a personal attack against you. Found this Gem of a spot looking for a place to meet up with a wonderful friend. The building is covered in beautiful mural making it even more exciting to see the inside, once you enter you'll feel relaxed and ready to sit and listen to the Playlist while checking out the menu. We decided to try the veggie omelet, the cafè de Olla was delicious. We were treated with a suprise crepe because we were there too celebrate our birthdays my personal opinion is you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! So this place will definitely become a regular and I will spread the word. Upon walking in this place feels really well thought of, decor and seating arrangements all make sense. This feels like a place that can develop some great regulars and be a staple in the city. The waiting staff looks nice and you can tell they're genuinely trying to uphold a standard but they lack attention to key details. To start things off we were told to sit anywhere and most of the tables that hold more than 2 people either have plates that haven't been picked up or have scraps and needs to be wiped down so you end up having no where to sit, would have rather waited to be seated and had a clean place to sit. I ordered steak and eggs food was good not great. Love the potatoes they had a nice crisp, egg was cooked like I asked and the steak was where we started lacking flavor, super bland cooked decent though. The star of the plate should have been the steak and although the meat is a good cut without flavor it's pretty much pointless. I got a green salsa and that honestly saved the meal. Wifey got an egg benedict and the hollandaise sauce was actually really good. We also ordered a berry tea that we never got and had to have removed at the end from our bill. I'm not upset at these mistakes but for a morning where things are relatively slow I feel like these are simple mistakes that should be addressed. Would try this if I didn't know where else to go but def not a place I'd set time aside for, they have great potential definitely was hoping to like this place more :( read more

Disappointing Experience Despite Good Intentions We arrived at 11:30 AM and didn't get our food until 1:20 PM. The entire experience was frustrating due to extremely slow and disorganized service. We waited 45 minutes just to be seated, and it took over an hour more to receive our food and drinks. There's clearly a need for a proper host. When we arrived, we signed in with a woman--who seemed to be working on something else--who wrote our name in a little notebook. Unfortunately, people who arrived after us were seated before we were. When I asked about it, I was told the owner had taken the book and no one knew where it was, which led to a totally disorganized seating process. The two servers didn't seem to communicate with each other, and there was a clear lack of coordination. We even got our food without any utensils and waited another 10 minutes for forks. While the staff tried to be friendly, it was obvious they were overwhelmed and lacked guidance. I really want to support local businesses, but unfortunately, I won't be coming back.
