For those leaving one star reviews on yelp always make me question how reliable their experiences are. I have not once received a "disastrous" or "ripoff" encounter whatsoever for the past 5 years I've been going to this cleaner. The cleaner is family run and they are truly one of the kindest people I have met. They are very intentional and I can sense their genuinity. We've tried many dry cleaners, including office pick-up and delivery services. Some were ok and the rest were epic fail! Although, we've only been going to this place for 2 years. Family run cleaners ranks near the top of all the places we've tried for dry cleaning. Here's the breakdown: 1. Greeted by first name. 2. In & out in under 5 minutes. 3. Reasonable prices for laundered items. 4. Tailoring is available most days. Prices vary for dry cleaning of suits, shirts and pants. I brought in 3 pairs of shoes for cleaning. They only cleaned one and told me to try cleaning the other 2 at home, which I already did try that. First of all, they charge $3.95 for pants (regardless of its designer status - so 5 jeans for $180? Huh?). No doubt, the most reasonable price for the impeccable quality in this hood!! This rating is in regards to their pricing for wash and fold services. $4 per pound is absolutely ridiculous. They don't share this with you before hand. They drop it on you when you pick your laundry up. The most I have paid anywhere else in the Woodland Hills area is $1.50 per pound. read more

My whole family have been using this cleaners for over 10 years. The owners are a married couple who can be very opinionated, but they are honest and responsibly priced for the high quality work they do. Very upfront about what they can and cannot do. They will also tell you what you can do to prevent things from happening to your clothing or how you can fix things yourself. Yes, sometimes their tongues are very sharp - but their work ethic, communication and honesty keeps me going back. I have been coming to this cleaners for the past year. It is a husband and wife owned business and the wife (Dee) mostly works the counter. Dee was friendly and would inspect my clothes very carefully to mark the stains. I appreciated that at first, however, after several visits it got to feel somewhat like an interrogation having to explain what/where each of the stains came from. I almost dreaded having to bring in my clothes but hate finding new places so I would just deal with it. About 2 weeks ago I picked up 6 pieces of clothing and the bill was $52. Even Dee seemed surprised at the amount and said I could just pay $50 even. Although it seemed high, I didn't argue about the cost and promptly paid. While she was processing my credit card, Dee mentioned that her husband told her to charge me double in the hopes that I would find another dry cleaner because he had to do so much work getting the stains out of my clothes. I almost thought I heard her wrong and asked her to repeat what she said. I have never felt so insulted. The clothes I have cleaned are only worn to the office and I have them cleaned on a regular basis so in my opinion, they were not extraordinarily dirty. I typically would not say anything but decided that they should know that they lost my business. When I told Dee that I would not be back she did not seem to care - I guess they accomplished what they set out to do (make me go elsewhere). They were so rude and definitely do not value their customers. I hope this review helps others but only go there if your clothes are already clean. read more

They are the nicest people. (The prior owners were also very sweet.) I'm never there longer than 5 minutes. I get a kick out of the lady that just can't get over the fact that I have two grandchildren. She makes me blush. My only complaint is the parking. I love this place. The woman that works there, I think her name is K, is very honest and has a very friendly grandmother-like vibe! Ive gone in for hems, dry cleans, etc and she always get her advice and input on what I should do. To be honest with you, if I read the Yelp reviews for this place first, I probably would have gone elsewhere. My first experience there was great and probably one of the best dry cleaning experiences I ever had. Bonus that it's all done on the premises and eco/green yada yada. Yes the parking lot is small and could be difficult during rush hour, but if you could handle a Trader Joe's lot, you'll manage. Background - my husband has been going here for the past year and always remarked how nice the woman is there. It's taken me a full year since we moved here to get my act together with over 30 garments that needed to be dry cleaned. Mind you I have nice stuff - most items alone cost $200 or more BUT I am also a slob when I eat and that doesn't go very well with silk. The drop-off was with the man (husband).. it took a while go get through all my items bc they had a bunch of stains, but he took the time to mark everything, even assuring me that if we missed something, he has a light to detect stains. The pick-up was with the woman (wife) and she was so very nice and pleasant. She said there were a few stains they just couldn't get out but after being turned away by other cleaners who wouldn't even try, I was very appreciative. I inspected everything at home and to my surprise there was only 1 stain that they couldn't get out, out of over 30 items, so pretty amazing if you ask me. I have been going to Doctor Cleaners for many years and am always pleased by their service. They do a great job on my clothes and I have never had a problem with anything. The owners and staff are extremely friendly, and I'm now greeted by name every time I go in. If you drop off a lot of clothes they will deliver to your house upon request, depending on where you live, of course. (New York is probably out of the question!) I've had some difficult stains over the years, ones I thought would never come out, and was pleasantly surprised quite a few times. Sure, some stains are permanent but if Doctor Cleaners can't get them out I know they have given it a good effort. The cost of cleaning seems reasonable to me, particularly for the quality job that they do. Other places I've gone charge me much more. In reading the reviews it seems to be a love/hate relationship with this place. Personally I have never had any negative experiences and wouldn't dream of taking my clothes anyplace else, even if it were closer. This is the place I always recommend to people if they ask for a good dry cleaners in the neighborhood. read more

Had sent many clients to her over the past 15 years and we have all dropped like flies due to her awful, demeaning behavior. I have to leave this review for these amazing business owners. I brought in a suede leather jacket that had a pen stain on it. I paid $45 to get it dry cleaned (that is what the instructions on the jacket was) a few days later they let me know that they needed a few more days to get the pen ink out completely. I got a text from Anna a few days ago letting me know that during the process of cleaning, the texture and color of the jacket may fade and that they will not take responsibility for the damage. I agreed to proceed with the cleaning. I picked up the jacket today and it looked completely off color (which I was completely aware of the possibility). I texted Anna letting her know how disappointed I was and she immediately responded with an apology and was so nice to me. Out of good faith she Zelled me $145 for the inconvenience (she didn't have to). I have never in my life came across such amazing customer service. I will definitely use them for any of my dry cleaning services. What happened to my jacket is not anyone's fault. They did their best and they followed the instructions on the tag on the jacket. Dr. Cleaners is great! It's a family owned business. They get my clothes spotlessly clean and I like the fact that they are eco-fieindly and don't use toxic chemicals. They go the extra mile to make sure even the difficult stains come out. If they can't do it, it can't be done! The wife is super friendly and s fun to talk to. She's there in the afternoons. Trying to find a new cleaners...so called for pricing today. They hung up after my initial question regarding the price of cleaning for a women's business suit and would not pick up the phone when I called back several times. I was persistent and finally got someone to answer (after 3 attempts) that pricing begins at $8.95 but they hung up again when I asked them what would cause my suit to be charged more than the base $8.95. I guess Dr. Cleaners WILL NOT be my new cleaner! read more

After several unpleasant instances, I finally let the place once I found one my garments with a dime-size hole cut in the middle of it.
