Ive been a customer for approximately 11 years now and it is crazy how time flies. I think a review is long due. As always, Robert the boss and his staff Danny never disappoint. All my cars get serviced by them and its always done in a timely manner with full transparency. Just recently ( middle of July, hot summer) my minivan AC was not as cold as it normally does and I needed the use the minivan the next day to run some errands. I discovered the problem that day around 2pm and took it to him right away. AC had moisture built up and needed to be serviced. I had my AC fixed a few hours later. Thanks Robert and Danny! On another note, I think Katherine, who left a 1 star review and stating why is complete BS. Whatever she wrote about Robert is completely out of his character and nonsense. Another shop told me my engine was dead and I was originally coming to get a turbo oil line fix. I had the part but there was oil everywhere and the engine block might have been cracked. My first communication was with Robert who couldn't have been more patient and understanding about a miscommunication that was my fault. But they still squeezed me in as a drop in appointment. I appreciated that they allowed me to swing by without having to wait. They saw me immediately and started work literally within seconds of me pulling in. I even paid a carburetor expert to come to my place and have his input on my issue. first and foremost i have a 1963 cadillac deville, The carburetor expert that came over and ran some test also said it's your carburetor. After asking and much reading, i came across DR. Smith Carburetor. I called and asked some few questions and the gentleman on the other side of the line said "bring It In" i said will you look at it now? he said YES! I was sold with his answer. I drove in very close to closing time. DR Smith as i like to call him ( true name Robert ) stopped what he was doing and said let's take a look. After about an hour of turning off an on the car and checking some electrical items he said "I CAN FIX IT" but not today. Problem was not the carburetor!? This guy is the real deal. My 2004 GS 300 was having some weird issue with my brake pedal sinking only one time when park overnight. After several troubleshooting at other auto repairs, they couldn't determine what has gone wrong. I called one of my closed friends and he referred me to Mr. Bob's "Dr. Smith Carburetors". I called Mr. Bob Vu and scheduled an appointment with him last Thursday 12/23. After the initial diagnostics, Mr. Bob was able to let me know that the reason my brake was "sinking" brake pedal might due to the ABS Modular valve. He recommended not to replace just yet and wait until if the brake pedal is sinking all-the-time, then it's time to replace. I found Mr. Bob's advise was honest and he's been known for his honesty and integrity among majority of the customers who brought their cars to his shop. I would definitely bring back my car and the rest of my family's vehicles to his shop not only just for issues but for regular recommended maintenance as well. read more
