I'm a regular customer and I can't get enough of the amazing teas and tinctures that Dragon Herbs carries. They also ship very quickly too within the CA area. The people are also very kind and knowledgeable support staff. Lastly, the lounge area is relaxing for a getaway from the city. Highly recommend this spot for all.

Came on a tea date with my lady and had a pleasant experience. Was able to try 3 different blends of teas and 3 snacks for $25. Very much worth it. The vibes were very relaxing. Checked in with the Doc and got some medicine for my sinuses and healthy blood flow and energy. To my delight was gifted with some free goodies for being a first time! Would definitely come back! Want to thank Mark and Laura for the hospitality and experience! If you're in the area swing by!

Love Dragon Herbs! I have literally been going since 2008 and I love seeing it evolve. They have such high quality products, and for the price, in my opinion, you are getting a great bang for your buck. I personally love visiting their storefronts since it's so warm, inviting, and I love the aesthetics. Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable as well. I occasionally get some drinks at the bar if I'm feeling like a deserve a healthy treat.

What an absolutely wonderful place! This is so much more than a place to buy herbs and teas; it's a sanctuary. From the moment you step inside, you're immersed in a peaceful, harmonious ambiance. You're no longer in busy Los Angeles, but a separate world where your entire being releases a deep breath and settles. The gentle music, the gorgeous decor made of natural materials, and the enticing and artfully placed displays create a beautiful space to explore and learn. The wonderful people we met (Mark and Laura) were beyond generous with their time, wisdom, and knowledge, and brought such warmth and joy to our experience. You can tell when someone truly loves what they do, when it's truly alive in them; there's no faking that energy. Mark was incredible with suggestions and explaining how different formulations worked, and made it so much fun (and helpful!) to nerd out on different herbs. Laura brought so much magic to the teas she brewed for us, taking us on a beautiful sensory journey with the different herbs that she blended, and bringing expert insights on flavor pairings and brewing times to really let the flavors and benefits of each ingredient bloom. The beautiful tea bar we sat at was comfortable, peaceful, and quiet, which can be a rare commodity in LA. There is such a delightful array of products, including whole herbs, teas, tinctures, capsules, and all sorts of other goodies. They were displayed so beautifully, while being easy to access, with many labeled with educational signs about their uses as well. I felt like a kid in a candy store! My partner and I both felt so welcomed and encouraged throughout the entire experience, and the tea and tinctures we got to try truly refreshed our bodies and spirits. I can't say enough good things about this location, the people, and of course, the incredible quality of the herbs themselves. Whether you already love Chinese herbs or just want to have a peaceful experience with some truly magical teas, do yourself a favor and check this place out!

The store is often crowded, but it is very organized and the staff is friendly. The ambiance is vibrant and they have a great selection of produce & snacks. Their hot bar is convenient and very delicious. Their sushi selection is also excellent and the sushi is very fresh! I always make sure I get myself a smoothie as well. Their drinks are simply delicious and very refreshing. My favorite is the iconic Hailey Bieber smoothie!

Now that they've been around for a number of years, it's a well known fact that Erewhon is as…read morefamous for their celebrity endorsed smoothies as they are notorious for their astronomical prices. If a trip to Whole Foods earns them the nickname "Whole Paycheck", Erewhon will probably cost you your monthly rent. And yet, like a moth to a flame, I couldn't help but make a trip here to check out their wildly popular (and expensive) smoothies! Wandering through the aisles, Erewhon has all of the basics you would expect to find at a market, but a lot of the brands they carry aren't the typical mainstream ones you'll find at most other supermarkets. In a sense, they're like the Whole Foods of Whole Foods, as they almost exclusively feature premium/luxury brands that position themselves as being more "health focused". While that sort of claim can be relative (e.g. lower calories, but higher sodium), there's no question that the quality of their fresh produce, meats, and seafood definitely looked pretty legit, with a lot of products that are organic, free-range, cage-free, hormone-free, etc. As for the aforementioned smoothies that so many folks both praise and complain about, they're made fresh to order from their tonic bar that sits in the middle store - easy to find, but inconvenient to navigate past. With over a dozen different pre-set flavors/combinations to choose from, along with the option to customize and/or create your own, the menu has so much to offer. What's more, if you aren't in the mood for one of their smoothies, they also have freshly pressed juices, coffees, and teas. Even though their Strawberry Glaze Smoothie is easily their most popular smoothie (and best, according to Hailey Bieber), we opted to try their MALIBU MANGO SMOOTHIE ($21) instead. Based purely on taste, this actually wasn't too shabby - It had a nice punch of mango flavor and the consistency was smooth with just the right thickness to it. Plus, I liked how creamy both the texture and taste was and how it wasn't overly sweet. That being said, after tax/tip, did it taste $28 good? No. Although there wasn't anything inherently "bad" with this, it didn't taste all that different from the one I can get by my place in SF that costs me less than half as much. Despite how expensive the smoothie was, which at least I was already prepared for, the thing that really took us by surprise was how long it took for it to be made. Granted, this location might be an outlier, as its proximity to The Grove probably contributes to the number of people that were here, but I never would've guessed we'd have to wait almost half an hour for our order. Since I don't live anywhere near an Erewhon, I can't say if/when I would come back, but I certainly wouldn't entirely rule it out, as I liked the smoothie we got and I'm genuinely curious about the Strawberry Glaze one as well as some of their prepared foods. However, for how much it would set me back, it'll probably have to come after the next time I get a bonus or a raise so I can feel a little better about the splurge. Four stars for taste and the quality of what Erewhon has, but two stars, at best, for value, so three it is.

I was at The Grove for Christmas shopping and decided to drive the 2 miles or so to this Santa Monica location. I was lucky to quickly find parking right outside the front entrance. A young man asked me how he could help. I explained who the person was, the key issues they're using CBD products. I then asked for their best product and he recommended the product featured in 4 of the posted photos on this review. A review of the manufacturer's website and you'll find they seem to use the highest possible quality products and it offers more than just CBD...CBA & other acronyms I don't recall. It is the most expensive one they had and lucky for me they. 30% sale going on. I bought three packages for my family member and they should be good for 3-6 months. Pure CBD has a frequent buyer program, a website and will ship across the US. I'm so glad I stopped.

The shop is clean and pleasant and products are in full view. I was there when there was heavy traffic and had to park across the street at metered and walk. Now I am finding out for myself that it is just as any other market where in this economy, it benefits for me to research online for sales and weekly ads. One of things I realized is that I was sleeping on their coffee bar! This Whole Foods is surrounded by many restaurants, trending eateries and coffee shops that it is easy to overlook what Whole Foods can offer. The staff working at the coffee and juice bar are amazing! My current favorite is the berry chantilly iced latte. The honey latte and the brown sugar cookie latte are both very good but the berry chantilly is my current favorite. It is strong, not-too-sweet and well made for $5 and that is for a large. You can also have alternative milk like almond or oat at no extra charge! The deli and bakery are also great but I have been getting their pizza slices for an inexpensive lunch. Where nearby pizza spots are selling their slices for $7-$8 a slice (which I get why it is priced that way), Whole Foods has them at the self serve area for one slice at $4.50 or 2 for $8. I work near the area and though I love that I am in foodie heaven, sometimes I just need something a bit more simple and reasonably priced. Whole Foods pizza can be artisanal just as any other pizzerias. This week, they had elote pizza and it reminds me of the viral elote pizza that was invented by Rose City Pizza. It is pretty good and definitely closer to me than Covina.
