What I got, though packed with veggies, was flavorless noodles and something that vaguely, VAGUELY resembled boiled chicken parts. I poured two packets of soy sauce on the damn thing, and none of the flavor stuck. I think the food actually erased the flavor of soy sauce! But again, I bought more food than I could eat for $3.15. First, the place is very clean and the staff very nice and attentive. There is plenty of seating for groups and good for families. The decor is your standard Asian garb. The menu is fantastic. They make just about every type of Chinese dish you can imagine. We had soup and a plate of friend rice. The plate of fried rice was plenty for two people. The service was fast and courteous. I understand both the good and bad reviews and agree with everyone. With that said... This is your typical Chinese restaurant where there is only 1-2 go to dishes for the whole place. While it might take you a handful of tries to find the right dish, I'll spare you the pain and give you the goods. Lunch combo for ~$6 is awesome IF you go with the mongo beef. It's all about the mongo beef, don't be fooled. If you miss out of the lunch special go with the mongo beef special combo and do the following: substitute the not so tasty fried rice for steamed rice and the egg roll for the veggie egg roll and you will be more than satisfied with the amount of food that comes out! read more

Delivery was quick! The delivery driver was nice, and the food was hot when it arrived, so that's always a good thing. Ordered Hot and sour soup and selected spicy... the soup was just okay.. maybe a little bland for my taste. I ordered the beef in black bean and garlic sauce. Flavor was on point there. The minimum order online, and the seemingly smaller portions don't seem worth it to just enjoy the food at home. Tired of being short changed. Usually get takeout orders and every time I get home the large order of sweet n sour chicken is always a small. The cheapest thing they can give you is the white rice and the size they always give you for a large order is the smallest box they can find. The breading on the chicken, used to be good and now the pieces of chicken are half the size with lots of thick half cooked corn dog batter. Yuck!!! Three strikes and your out. Used to be an awesome place for Chinese food but the food quality and quantity PLUMMETED in recent years. Its a shame... I would always get the Orange Chicken or General Tso's Chicken and now both taste like hairspray. How does that happen? I would order the crab rangoons as well. It's Wednesday and I'm hungry. I check out Yelp reviews for Tinley Park. What I really want is good Mexican food, but nobody delivers! I settle on Bamboo Garden, because I'm wowed by their 5 star rating. Someone on their page mentions the orange tofu and I was set on that, they show a photo and my mouth waters over it. It looks deep fried, the color and texture of a crispy fried meat, which is how orange tofu should look. Except, it's Wednesday and they're closed. I didn't even bother looking up Dragon Palace, I knew since I'm visiting my parents that they would have a menu, because they order Dragon Palace exclusively. I have no idea why. I indulged and ordered crab rangoon to go with my orange chicken. When it arrived, 50 minutes later (they said 35-40), the orange tofu was just cubes of poorly cooked, soft tofu (ew) covered in orange sauce. Disgusting. The crab rangoon is luke-warm and stale. Instead of crispy and hot, they were soggy and warm. I still ate them because by the time they arrived I was famished. I then got sick. Terrible!!!! I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Beef Egg Foo Young. The Pad Thai had no flavor at all. I asked for extra limes and received NONE. The Egg foo young had a fishy burnt taste. This was a pleasant surprise... We were actually going to Hamata's, got there and they took so long to seat us we left. Still hungry I told my girl to Google someplace nearby and comparable and she found "Dragon Palace" and we haven't been back to Hamata's since. I have been a frequent and loyal customer to Dragon Palace for over 10 years now for a multitude of great reasons. First, and the most important thing a resturant, the food is fresh and authentic. Second, the staff are wonderful and courteous. Heck even the owner has waited on us because she takes great pride in what she established. Third, everything is always consistent or getting better. The food is delicious everytime whereas most of the Chinese resturants that's I visited are good or bad every other time. Fourth, it is right off of Harlem in Tinley park so it's quick access to get pick up. Both were pretty good however the chunks of meat in the fried rice were pretty small. If you like a lot of rice with your chinese, I would suggest asking for extra - the container of white rice I got for my mushroom & beef wasn't enough.
