Tried this place with a Groupon and was pretty satisfied. Ordered the dinner for two plus rangoon. Mongolian beef is among the better ones I've had and we really enjoyed the fried rice, egg rolls, and rangoon as well. The chicken kow had a strange taste to it, but it was the only poor thing we tried. Portions were huge.The service was pretty decent albeit strange. We turned the leftovers into five separate meals after taking it home. On a bizarre note, the men's bathroom had the oddest setup I have ever seen. A single toilet bathroom with two chairs sitting directly across from the john. Ever desire a bathroom audience? This is your place. I'd been to the Dragon Palace location in New Lenox way back when (we're talking 10 years ago) so when I saw the Tinley location I decided to give it a try. I ordered my usual, beef with peapods and my husband got his usual, sweet and sour chicken, and we agreed we've had better elsewhere. You know it's bad when you try to put soy sauce on the food and that doesn't make it better. It was just underseasoned and bland. We got take out from there last Sunday night. We had been there before about 4 years ago and were not impressed, but decided to give it another try since we had a coupon from them. We ordered Egg Drop soup, House Fried Rice, Szechuan Beef, and a "Four Seasons Delight" which is meat, shrimp and vegetables in a black bean garlic sauce. We ordered the two main dishes "extra spicy" as we like hot spice First off the soup was excellent, lots of egg and chicken flavor. The first thing we noticed immediately when eating the rest of the food that it wasn't spicy at all, not even a little bit, and the Szechuan dishes are supposed to be somewhat hot. We were sharing the food amongst 5 people, and as everyone started eating, we were all looking at each other to see everyones reactions to the food. Then we all basically said at the same time "this food doesn't taste very good." It was like there was no flavor at all to the dishes, and the Szechuan Beef had a strange sour metallic flavor to it. The Fried Rice and the Four Seasons Delight needed LOTS of soy sauce just to give it some flavor, which shouldn't be. With all the other good Oriental places in the area, everyone agreed that we would never go back to Dragon Palace. read more

We moved to Tinley Park and were excited to have a Chinese restaurant that was so close. However, we were disappointed after our first delivery experience and have never ordered from them since. It took a little longer than we would have liked to for delivery. Prices are OK for the area but that shouldn't be a selling point for anyone. The food is subpar - fatty chicken, tough beef, greasy noodles and sauce with too much starch. I don't mind paying more for better quality. Nothing makes me turn away from a restaurant faster than low-quality ingredients. There are better options for Chinese in Tinley. read more

We stayed at a local hotel and had Dragon Palace deliver. They said the delivery time would take 35-40 minutes. It took the delivery driver 1 hour 30 minutes to get there with COLD, OLD FOOD. The driver immediately says :if there's an issue with the food, call and we can give you a discount." I called immediately and asked for the manager. I spoke with Lou, who said he was the manager, and asked for a refund and told him the meal was unsatisfactory. Lou then told me he wasnt authorized to refund my order. I asked for the person in charge and he wouldnt tell me. Long story short - I didnt get a refund and I sure didnt eat that nasty, cold food. I'm still in the process of finding the person who does refunds at that establishment. -Poor Food -Poor service -Poor communication skills We won't be eating their food again. This place is been around since I can remember it's always been a good place to go for Chinese Cantonese style food the service is really good and the food is really good . I've been coming here for years and I always get the chicken fried rice or vegetable fried rice the recipe hasn't changed much over the years but I did notice that when I went here to get the same dish that I have always gotten that it seems like the recipe has changed in my opinion it has more greens in it than it did before which is in a problem and it has a little bit more of a body and more filling but for some reason I do miss the old recipe for the chicken and vegetable fried rice other than that you can get anything on the menu at this place and you can pretty much be assured that it would taste pretty good I haven't tried everything but I plan on trying new things. read more

Decided to try this place due to their specials. We ordered online and were supposed to get free pot stickers. When we picked up the $40 order, they said we could not get the free appetizer if we used a $25 gift certificate...Although this is ridiculous, the certificate has nothing to do with ordering on line, we advised we just wanted our order and to add on the pot stickers. When we got home, no pot stickers! I called and went all the way back to get the order, and rather than give them to me for their mistake, they charged me! Dragon Palace has the best food and service. I especially like their General Tao's chickent and Lung Fung Kow. The live lobster is price reasonable and taste very good. I'm definately will go back again when i'm in the neighborhood. read more

I am really perplexed by all the people who think this place is great. Our group of 5 dined here last night. If the food was great (which it is not), I would have been willing to overlook the lack of ambiance and awful service. We were seated right away but waited 20 minutes for a drink order. The service level never improved from there. In additional, the restaurant so cold that most of the diners in the room wore their coats to eat. Since there were 5 of us, we did try quite a few things and were impressed with none. Bland spring rolls, rubbery pot stickers were how we started the meal. The crispy duck that one person ordered was actually soggy duck with no flavor. The beef quality in both the mongolian beef and the szechuan beef was poor. It was chewy and dry with too much grizzle. The chicken in the chicken dishes was bland. While the shrimp was fine in the seafood dish, the scallops were not and the oyster sauce was as bland as bland gets. I honestly think they have too many dishes on the menu to execute any of them well. They should pare down the menu to just a few things and do them better. read more

Good food ten years ago now just a waste of money. Overpriced poor service. Even for carry out you have to wait for the workers to get off their cell phones before you can get helped. Not that it will help the cold chewy bland chicken(gross) but it would be nice to walk in pay and leave and not have to stand there for fifteen minutes by yourself trying to get someone to check out. Great place for carry out too. They say 15 min but it's closer to 10. I always like the daily $7.95 specials. You get more then enough food and an egg roll. The vegetable egg foo young is also great. We have been going here for years. Have eaten in many times and order take out often. The people there are extremely friendly, the place is very, very clean and the food is always perfect. Hot, flavorful, very good portions, you will always have leftovers as they give you more than enough. We order many different things and have never been dissapointed. My favorite are their crab rangoon. They have changed over the years. Recently they changed the recipe briefly and I wasn't too happy with that, but they have since gone back to the original and they are AWESOME. Great egg rolls as well. This is our typical go to place for Chinese delivery. The food is cheap and yummy, and they give you big portions - we always have leftovers. However, their spicy food is never spicy, so make sure to have a bottle of Sriracha handy. Basically, this is tasty, cheap Chinese food, but it won't knock your socks off. Hands down, one of the best Chinese places around the Tinley Park area. Service is great, and I like the atmosphere. Prices can be a little high, but you get quality food. My friend and I have gone here quite a few times and the food is wonderful. I would put this on my list of favorite places to go, and it's a bonus because I is only about ten minutes from my house. I've been been going to this restaurant for over 15 yrs. The food is consistently good, the portions are large, and the fried rice is as good as it gets. Here is the experience I just had.. Order small sweet and sour chicken small chicken egg foo young with the sauce on the side. I went it to pick it up, brought it to my van and placed it next to me between my seat and the passenger side seat. It was a paper bag inside a plastic bag. I got home, took the bag in, set in on the counter, and went to pull out the sweet and sour chicken, which was dry chicken (how it is supposed to be) in a big container, the kind you put rice in, and it was so full it wasn't even closed. Which I thought alright, this is good, since I had never been there and didn't know how big a small sweet and sour chicken would be. Then I went to pull out the sweet and sour sauce, a big plastic container, with a plastic snap lid, and see that it is broken on the top of it, where the chicken was sitting on it. And that it had leaked all over the bag! And it was still on top of the chicken egg foo young which was open also and soaked that, and everything else in the bag!!! So I called and they said, no problem we will replace it. So now I am upset I have no food to eat, I am starving, my family has to wait, I go back up there. I go in, now this is a guy waiting at the desk. I explain exactly as I did above. He goes "What, you drop it?" I said, no I didn't drop it. He said "you drop it" So AGAIN I explain I sure didn't drop it. So he started SCREAMING at me that this is not how they serve food, etc. banging the bag of food to the counter. I said I wanted a refund. I am a woman, and he didn't need to treat any woman or ANY customer like that! I hope all the customers inside saw the truth of this establishment. The sauce was on top of two rices, cookies, etc. And it had the huge chicken on top of this container with a very thin plastic top. IF it was dropped, then the stuff below would have been damaged, not that, and it wasn't, end of story. I got my refund, no apologies, and I will never ever go near there again, and I will make sure all my family and friends know about this experience as well read more

I love Dragon Palace! I even have a nickname for it which is DragPal. Before I was a vegetarian I would come here all the time and get shrimp egg foo yung and stuff, but now that I'm a vegetarian I STILL come here all the time and get General Tso's Tofu, vegetable egg roll, vegetable egg foo yung, etc. Anyway it's convenient, delicious, and definitely cheap. I was completely disappointed with this restaurant. Don't let the price fool you. You get what you pay for. Not only their food was disgusting, but also the service I got from this restaurant was bad. I ordered a sweet and sour chicken, a beef fried rice, and two egg rolls for delivery. The RUDE guy that took my order over the phone told me that my order will be here in 45 mins. I ended up waiting an hour and half and when I opened up my order, I found out that they have forgotten my sweet and sour sauce for the chicken. Called the restaurant up and the same person that took my order told me I can go to the restaurant to pick it up or I will have to wait another hour for it to get here. I was like WTF! If I can go to the restaurant myself, I won't ask for delivery. After I explained to this idiot on the phone that I don't have a car, then he said, "Well, there's nothing I can do about it" and he was quietly whispering to a person next to him making fun of my situation saying, "Do you know something call taxi."
