ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI! Once I heard about all you can eat on Mondays, Tuesday, and Wednesday, I immediately went after work. The all you can eat menu is extensive. You can have appetizers, soup, salad, hand rolls, and of course regular rolls. Get this, they even have cheeseburgers, fries, and chicken wings. Food was good, I ate a lot. Service was great, and the ambience was nice. They were playing the Dodgers game on TV.

Looks like some things are getting back to normal. Our every 4 to 6 week trip to the desert for necessary doctor appointment is back on. No more telephone appointments. It was nice to see him in person after such a long time! Anyway, we like to find a place to eat afterwards and our usual favorite spot was closed. I hope they open again soon. My daughter found Dragon Sushi while doing an internet search. So off we went in the 107 degree heat in search of lunch. We were greeted promptly and sat in a comfy booth. After a little confusion over the menu and how to order, we found our waitress. The menu is touch free, all you gotta do is start to take a picture of the bar code, then the link pops up. Click the link and the menu appears. I ordered the Dinner special two item combo, since we were a bit too late for the lunch special. My dish came with; miso soup, house salad, steamed rice, gyoza dumpling, shumai dumpling, teriyaki chicken and California roll. Daughter ordered the crunchy California roll. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I enjoyed the salad dressing and the teriyaki sauce covering the chicken. I look forward to our next visit. The mango tango cut roll is calling my name. https://www.dragonsushiindio.com/menus

It was a day of adventures, which is another way of saying that I was delayed getting to my camping site. I thought I would treat myself to dinner and not have to deal with cooking in the dark. Alas, it was Valentines Day, and a poor decision for a one top to appear at a sushi restaurant. I considered bailing and getting a fish taco next door. Should have. Service was poor, confused, and inattentive. It took forty minutes to receive the soup and salad that came with the grilled mahi dinner. That only occurred because I advocated for it as my Server did not bother to keep me informed. Frankly, if I had not asked, I think she would've completely forgotten. I also ordered a salmon skin handroll. The skin was crispy and the kitchen was generous with it. On the other hand, it was lacking one of the other key ingredients touted on the menu, yamagobo, which is why I ordered it. That is pickled burdock, and it was a nice touch which conveyed something about the kitchen's intentions. The mahi was ok, once it finally arrived. I suspect that on another night, this would have been a pleasant dining experience. Before this pandemic, a responsible restaurant would have stopped accepting people once they were well beyond capacity. It's how you preserve reputation and thus long term viability. After this pandemic, I can't begrudge any business for trying to maximize its profits even at the expense of the customer experience. But that doesn't mean I need to reward them for that choice. Prepandemic, I would have given this place two stars because of the very poor experience. I am giving them three, and again, on a regular night, you can probably have a nice 4 star night out here.

We normally have a great experience with dragon sushi but unfortunately this experience drove us away from this restaurant. We will not be Eatting here any more. This California roll was disgusting and disappointing. We could not even eat one bite of it. We called the restaurant to get an exchange or discount for our next purchase with them and they refused to work with us on this experience. How can you be in the customer service industry and not have customer service with a bad experience not even an apology that the roll wasn't made to our liking or anything just you got what you got! That's horrible service! Not coming back!

First time having lunch\dinner at Dragon Sushi. I was impressed, the setting and the decor inside is nice and very spacious, they have alot of seating. The staff is great, we were helped right away and had our order placed within 5 minutes. Great service and great atmosphere. The food is delicious and fresh. Great taste. Will be coming back soon.

Usually they should bring the appetizers, rolls and then entree... they brought them out in whatever order. One appetizer arrived followed by an entree, 2 rolls and then the soup and salad that was included with the entree. The edamame arrived almost to the end of the meal and I honestly should have sent it back bc who eats that at the end of a meal? Nothing against the chefs but it shows inexperienced wait staff. The food though was amazing! The rolls are HUGE! We ordered way too much so we took almost 2 rolls home! The tuna tower was amazing but I wish it came with some wonton strips or something to add crunch/texture. They use a green and red crispy crunch on their rolls which was sooo good! Overall the amazing food makes up for the average service.

Been coming here for years never had much to say until it started getting a bit bad. Today I ordered a king caterpillar and my friend got the amazing roll with real crab meat. The sushi rice in both of our rolls were very hard to bit didn't have that sticky ness sushi rice should have and crumbled to the touch. Definitely was yesterday unfinished rice and it's super noticeable. Nice selection of drinks and rolls along with sushi options. Service can be a hit or miss although they have more servers

Would rather hold out for better sushi options than settle for someplace that's just average. For context solid sushi spots in the desert are hard to come by, understandably. La Quinta actually has two of my favorites BUT they are only open for dinner hours. So I've been on the search for solid sushi spots that have lunch hours. Being that Sam's Sushi was open for lunch and has moderate reviews, thought that they were worth a try. The ambiance of the spot is basic. There was a proper sushi bar which I could appreciate and the restaurant was spacious. My biggest issues were cleanliness and freshness. The tables weren't clean enough for my preference (soy sauce containers were sticky and the plate they sit on hadn't been cleaned for a while). Also I found the temperature inside to be a little too warm, which is always a red flag to me when dealing with seafood. The reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 2 stars is the staff were friendly. Despite being busy they had me seated quickly and also food was at a good pace. One of my drinks was forgotten by the server but he was kind and apologized about it, so not a big deal. As again, they were busy. Overall the reason for the lower review is primarily for the food and quality. I ordered a $25 bento box (not quite trusting or committing to larger sushi rolls) and was still underwhelmed. The best part of my meal was the miso soup and California roll. The California roll was average but tasty. However, the other two box options were meh. The mixed tempura had hits and misses. Tempura shrimp was decent. However, the veggies were too thick - so the batter to veggie ratio was off. Still edible though. The bummer with the bento box was the sushi and salad. Salad had barely any dressing, and not the tasty ginger or sesame dressing that most have - the dressing was so minimal I couldn't even tell you what it was. Also the sushi just didn't taste fresh. The ebi was fine but usually I wouldn't choose this for sushi. The salmon was edible but not super fresh and the yellowtail was stringy and I couldn't eat it. For $25 the plate looked appealing but lacked good flavor/execution. Overall, the place was busy so I'm hopeful they have a good following with locals and I saw a lot of professionals here for a quick lunch break. I just think there are substantially better sushi spots in the desert...I'm spoiled and have lots of good sushi spots at home that this spot wouldn't be one I'd be eager to come to again soon.
