Food was 10/10. Not one complaint, we really enjoyed our meals. It wasn't overly filling where you feel gross afterwards, it was just perfect with room for dessert. I slept like a baby after this meal. Jess was our server, she was knowledgeable and efficient. We originally had 8:45pm reservations, but they were able to bump us up which was really appreciated. We enjoyed this meal after attending the Secrets bar show right downstairs (same building) so this is a great 2 for 1 for those cold NYC nights, not having to walk from place to place. Went to Drai's NY on a Friday night and first thing to know this is NOT like the Vegas Drai's at all. It is way more of an upscale chill supper club vibe versus a party scene. Very dark sexy jazzy atmosphere. They had live jazz musicians and a singer which I loved but I honestly expected more music throughout the night. The singer only did a few songs while we were there and I was hoping for more of that experience. Also they are very serious about no flash photography so if you are wondering why all the review pics look super dark that is why. They want to keep the vibe which I get. Food We did the caviar and it was really good definitely yummy and worth ordering. The truffle fries were perfect and they were not shy with the truffle at all which I appreciated. The cauliflower soup was great super flavorful. The shrimp appetizer tasted a little fishy so I probably would not order that again. I had the branzino and the top was cold but it had warm mushrooms and sauce on it so I was not sure if you were supposed to mix everything together to get the right temp. Either way the flavor was good just confusing presentation. Asparagus on the side was good. Two people in our party ordered steaks and they were just okay not bad but not amazing either. Drinks were good but I was honestly expecting more craft cocktail options for a place like this. The menu felt a little limited in that area. Service was on point. Our waitstaff was attentive and around all night which definitely made the experience better. Overall great spot if you are looking for an elegant grown NYC night out with jazz and good vibes just do not come expecting Vegas energy. Came in on a friday for a girls holiday dinner. We were seated in a booth facing the stage where they had live music which was nice. Our waiter was excellent, very attentive and gave great suggestions for food. We started off with an espresso martini and glass of rosé, appetizers was a caesar salad and fries . The salad was a little salty from the dressing and croutons weee chewy but the fries were perfect, especially with the white truffle ! For dinner we did the burrata with tomato which was an appetizer but decided to have it alongside our risotto with truffle. This was perfect ! so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The burrata was so very good too! We were absolutely stuffed at this point so just finished off with a double shot of espresso! Definitely a great spot to experience once with girlfriends or a date nite. But is a little overpriced especially since my rosé was $55 a glass. Whew!! But dress up and go experience it ! read more

Wow, is all I can say. I came in last week for my birthday dinner and had the absolute best time. As someone who is constantly eating out in NYC it's rare that something new and impressive comes along, but I can confidently say that Drais is just that. For food, we had the steak tartar, truffle risotto, tomato tart, and Caesar salad. Genuinely all of them were incredible but the tomato tart and steak tartar were definitely standouts for me. We then had the Bronzino, steak and duck. Genuinely loved all of them, but the duck was something special and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. We obviously finished with the cookies and marshmallow fluff for dessert and it was absolutely delectable. Service was white glove and our waiter could not have treated us better and made my birthday more special. The impeccable service genuinely added to the experience and I appreciate it tenfold Ambience is really where this place shines - a moody sexy setting with live jazz is definitely something that the city needed more of and I'm so glad Drais came along. A group of 5 girlfriends booked supper reservations for a friend's birthday nightcap. Problem is, by the time we finished dinner at Aqua, we were so stuffed, we wanted to skip all together but we would've been charged $50 per person, so we figured we might as well just go anyway. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately by security and directed to the host to checkin for our reservation. We were then escorted into the dimly lit restaurant with a live performance going on. The service here was amazing! Jazz M was our server. He was so personable and friendly. He also brought out a nice complimentary surprise for the birthday girl at the end of the night: Since we were already stuffed from dinner, we decided to just grab a few cocktails and enjoy the beautiful ambience. Cocktails were average $24. We enjoyed a few lychee and espresso martinis, both of which were really good. As I was drinking, I decided to get the shrimp sautéed in butter with parsley and garlic to snack on and the birthday girl just wanted some sautéed spinach lol weird, but it's her day so she get what she wants. Another instagram restaurant. We were a party of 10 so we were forced into a pre-fix menu which I am always against. The food was mediocre and that's me being nice. The drinks were overpriced, not bad but not worth it. I will say the staff were very friendly and attentive. There was a live jazz band so the ambiance was cute. The people who were dining is not what you would expect after reading their "dress code policy". Any place with a dress code policy is an immediate red flag. This trendy supper club in Manhattan features an opulent dining room with red accents and vintage paintings depicting glamorous scenes from the 1940's. The main attraction here is the live jazz music which sets the mood for a romantic and intimate evening. They have a strict no-flash policy which is a shame for such an attractive venue. That being said, the food and drinks missed the mark for me. The drinks such as the lychee martini and banana espresso martini tasted like fruit juice. When it comes to food, it is nowhere near the level of other French gourmet establishments in New York City. The highlights on the Valentine's Day limited menu were the warm tomato tart and burrata as well as the steak au poivre with peppercorn sauce. I've had much better steak in the city at places like Raoul's and Crane Club. The fist sized serving of the steak was not particularly filling for a main course. The steak tartare was tasteless and the dessert was a couple of small cookies. The food did not merit the hefty price tag in my opinion. read more

This was the worst dining experience I have EVER HAD. My friends and I came to here to celebrate my half birthday. When we arrived, we are met with their no flash photography rule. First, we were sat in the back in a corner. Next, security was called on us for taking photos, without flash (something we were told was allowed) Lastly , the white women next to us and across from us not only took videos and photos with flash, they also asked the waiter to take a photo for them. When we asked to speak to the manager, to inquire why a security guard is being sent over for a photo ,she told us that's protocol. Weird thing was, we were the only ones who were targeted. Then, we asked her why we were the only people being reprimanded if this was protocol and she said we were creating an issue, and what else did we want from her. By this time, we had ordered our food and decided we were ready to go directly after our food came out. We ate, and asked them to bring out the cake they kept in the refrigerator for us. This place has a $20pp cake cutting fee that we agreed to pay initially. However, with the constant racism we encountered, we just asked for the cake to brought and put it back in the box. Can you believe we were charged a "cake cutting fee" for a cake that was uncut? There was no remorse for our grievances at all. ATP, I wanted to give them zero stars, pay the bill and run out of there, but it was my half birthday and I really wanted a decent photo. We opt for photos by the restroom. No one could be in the background since , it's only a wall and a chair back there. We should be complaint free? Well we were met with threats, to get physical along with a request to leave. And guess what was happening as the security guard was exerting his "power" on 5 black women? Multiple ppl took that time to take selfies and record videos of themselves with flash. When I asked, why they weren't getting escorted out or harassed for flash photography? He says he will talk to them about it later. This place is a Joke! It may be successful in Vegas, but in NYC, this behavior will get you canceled. I gave Drai's plenty of time to rectify this via email and no one has responded in 3 months!! Two managers that night handled 5 black women with disrespect, and prejudice, and this is only the beginning of the reviews I will begin posting. Spending $800 to be disrespected is vile. There was no reason for us to experience such embarrassment as if we were doing something illegal. The food was ok, and nothing to rave about. Needless to say I don't recommend anyone come to this place. The jazz music isn't even worth it. read more

We had the steak and branzino, which were both cooked and seasoned perfectly. Justin mentioned to add the fries and those just added to the goodness. I wish there was a bit more creativity but maybe they are playing it safe? I've been excited to try Drais Supperclub and it did NOT disappoint. The interior is STUNNING. Definitely one of the most beautiful restaurants i've been to in a while. This is the perfect spot for a date or dinner with your girls. (They even have a cocktail lounge downstairs) I felt like I was in a real life episode of SATC in the most refined way. We started with the burrata, then moved on to the steak with some fries for the table as well. (I would love to request some different cuts of steak in the future! Maybe a classic ribeye or strip.) Beautiful setting with a nice piano/live singer setup. The music was nice but the soundtrack seemed repetitive. Solid drinks. The food was average at best. The bread was a little hard. The tuna crisp was overly cold, as if the tuna had recently been taken out to defrost. The Caesar salad was too lemony, no real Caesar flavor. The halibut was overly salty. The filet was well cooked to requested temp, but the au poivre lacked a proper peppery punch and was tame. Service was very good although there was a lag in between apps and meal and dessert. At 10pm live music stops and it turns more club like for the downstairs. Only con, was after our dinner we had to go back outside and get permission from the bouncer and owner to go downstairs.
