Unprofessional, not friendly. They were timely but not experienced for careful with my belongings. I packed most of my small items and just needed help with a bed, bed frame, dresser, coffee table and couch. Lamp was broken, couch was scratched against the wall or truck and my custom coffee table was chipped. Movers didn't seem to understand how to wrap items correctly or were low on blankets? Which doesn't make sense for such a small move. They harassed me after to leave a review to get points from their manager however I am extremely unhappy with this company. read more

Moving today and thanks to John and his team, I have the time to write this review. We needed help with our heavier items, and they were able to do it all extremely efficiently. There was a dresser I thought was impossible to move, and they did it with ease. They took the time to wrap furniture so it wouldn't get dirty - even though we were just moving in the same building, directly upstairs. Additionally, they helped to assemble and disassemble items such as desks and bedframes, and came well prepared with all the tools they'd need for it. Wow. Just, wow. You expect movers to be either good, or fast. But they were both, and then some. The care they took, moving things up and down stairs was impressive. But somehow, even while taking great care, they got us moved faster than I could've imagined. And talk about nice! I went to move a table top, only to have them tsk-tsk me, "That's too heavy! We'll get it!" As if all of that wasn't enough, they charged less than we expected. So it was a total win-win (win-win-win-win-win) all the way around. I am NEVER moving again. We had 2 movers and one huge truck for our short 1 mile move. Movers are very punctual and reliable. They worked fast and yet very carefully. This was the first time I've used movers and the whole process was stress-free. I compared a lot of companies and I'm glad I settled on U-Free. The booking process was simple and they weren't pushy. They communicated well and answered all my questions. I rented a uhaul and packed my items myself, so I only needed help shrink wrapping my furniture, taking everything downstairs, and loading the truck. Mark and Erik were very efficient in doing this. We had our movers (John's team) help us with our move on October 8 2023 on one of the hottest day ever in Irvine. John's team consisted of three men total that helped to move a 1300 square foot two bedroom two bath into a 2300 square foot home, both homes included about 30 or steps each, plus we also had to move a standup piano. The estimate was about 6-10 hours however they guys were able to complete the work between 11AM to just before 5PM even with a little lunch break. Our job consisted of heavy furniture on both floors as well as boxes. The group also assisted us with boxing some of our miscellaneous items, taking apart and putting together furniture, all in a timely manner. All of our furniture is scratch free and no wall was touched! I would recommend this company as well as John's team of movers! read more
