The salon felt clean and welcoming and not overly crowded at all. Despite other reviewers, my cosmo-tai lasted for two days. The body fell a little flat, but I liked the second day look just as much. If you get blow outs frequently, they have a great membership program that is $80/mo and you get 2 blowouts a month, plus $5 off any more you do that month. Drybar was really awesome! We went before my bachelorette party and it was great. We were offered free mimosas which was pretty cool, and were taken very close to our appointment times. Unfortunately my blow out did not stick--I went for the Cosmo I believe which was the heavy curls, but my hair never holds curls well. So 30 minutes later I had straight, well styled hair. No hard feelings though. It would be a great gift for family/friends, or perfect for ladies night out. I suggest going in your "out for the night" garb, minus having your hair done, and just have that be your last stop before you hit the night! read more

The customer service at Drybar is phenomenal, and so are the products (especially at the Shops at Legacy location). But, every time I go is hit or miss. The idea of Drybar is adorable--I love scheduling, and going, and getting my hair done. But all-in-all, it never seems worth $50. Definitely will be returning to this Drybar location! It was my first time using Drybar and I made the appointment literally the night before. I was running a few minutes late but it was no issue as it was somewhat empty that early on a Sunday morning. I was immediately offered a drink (a mimosa, too- loved that!) and shown to the shampoo bowl. Being that I have natural/curly 3b hair I'm always skeptical of the products salons use because curls can be broken so easily. She used MoroccanOil products which I love and they smell great. I knew she had a great idea of what she was doing when she rinsed my hair with lukewarm/cold water!! My blowout came out exactly how I asked in such a short amount of time. She was hesitant to get too close with the flat iron at first but once I gave her the okay, my troublesome roots were dead straight as well. I wish I could remember her name because she was so awesome! I've since purchased a monthly membership (I travel a lot) and will return to the Plano location as often as possible. I must admit I was quite excited to go to the Drybar after my husband sent me the groupon as a gift. The place was pretty and buzzing with activity over the weekend. My hairdresser was a chirpy happy person who gave a terrific floater head massage. However I had a few issues - 1. the final version 2.0 of me was not sleek. i had choosen a cosmo and my hair felt stiff and unsmooth. I have naturally straight hair but after the styling my hair looked coarse and almost frizzy. i liked the curls but disliked that it didnt look neat at all. when i raised this to the lady doing my hair she said i needed to "get used to my new hair look" instead of trying to fix the hair. 2. also they didnt get me the drink i requested. I guess they must have forgotten with so many ppl in there that day. I am a little disappointed. I'm honestly so upset that I have to give a Drybar location a bad review. I don't go to Drybar on a regular basis I would say but I do go here for special occasions. I've been to the one in grapevine and i still stand by my review saying that they're the best. I've tried out northpark and they did such a mediocre job that my hair didn't stay. Drybar had a deal recently where they gave out free blowout for couple days for the promotion of a Netflix series called Santa Clarita Diet which is hilarious by the way. Anyways so I decided to convince my friend to come with me for the blowout and she did hesitantly. The lady who did my blowout was super duper nice and I hate that I'm leaving her a bad review. The review is for her service not for her. She took longer than usual time for dry bar to do my hair so I was 100% sure that my hair would stay. Not only did my hair not stay but my curl was so bad that it didn't even stay till I got to the car. Usually when I go to Drybar my hair stays for at least 2 days but not this time. I felt like I wouldn't have paid for this so I am glad it was free. The lady who checked me in was not very friendly which I could care less about but honestly the hair not staying was very disappointing. My hair got super frizzy and didn't even stay for an hour. I just redid my hair on my own. I would not go back to this Drybar at all. Thanks for the free blowout Drybar but I won't be coming back to this location even if it's free. read more

My hair looked excellent when she was done!... But it did me no good because it lasted for less than an hour :/ I told the stylist that I wanted to do curls because my hair is normally straight, but warned her that my hair doesn't hold curl very well. At other places I told them this and they used enough product/heat to ensure it lasted. But this style did not last at ALL and it cost me more money. If it had lasted at all this would be a 5 star review. But since it had fallen before my event even started it was like a waste of $40. Booked a group of 6 (5 blowouts and 1 updo) for my bridesmaids and I on my wedding day! I had NEVER been to a Drybar before this but my bridesmaids convinced me it was the thing to do! We got seated quickly, all next to one another, watched great movies, and chatted while all the lovely employees did our hair. As you can see in the pics; it turned out FABULOUS! My daughters go here for special events and love it! We have always been pleased. I like that they offer you a drink while you are a customer or there with someone waiting. RUDE is the receptionist Cat/Kat at the front desk. We have been coming to this location for 3 years. Have never had a bad stylist which is why we have kept coming back. We got our first blow-out here tonight! The two of us and our mom decided to check them out! We are very happy that we did! We made a last minute appointment online, but when we arrived the staff was ready to serve us! We all were in at the same time and out at the same time. We were only there for about an hour which is great because we have long hair. We were able to look through over the "menu" to decide how we wanted our hair styled, were offered wine, mimosa's, and other beverages by the staff, and had an overall enjoyable experience! Sooo disappointed in Dry Bar Plano this time around. Sent both my daughters there tonight (ages 16 & 20) for a blowout before a Christmas dinner party we are attending. My 16 year old was done in 15 minutes and as she waited for her sister, a trainer that happened to be there noticed her hair was falling quickly. Thankfully she put her back in the chair and curled it some. My 20 year old came home and I had to re-curl her hair. Don't expect to do that after paying $45 per girl to have a nice blowout. Went in yesterday to have hair done for a christmas dinner. Appointment was at 3PM and my dinner was at 6PM. Within 30 minutes of leaving my hair had fallen out of curls completely and looked worse then what I came in with. $55 down the drain. Unfortunate to say the least. I have always gotten my blowouts done at Marbles, yes even in the rain, and my hair always holds and looks great for hours to come! Also I was sat in a chair all the way towards the front of the salon and had no mirror, no TV, just a blank wall to stare at the entire time. I had ordered the hydration shot but they completely forgot it (which knocks half a star cause ppl do make mistakes- I think they told me they'd give it next time at no charge- bonus for solution). I love how easy it is to fit a little extra me time in here at dry bar. Online booking is super easy and they have early morning appointments which is fantastic for my busy schedule!!! They're open when most salons are not. I like that all they do is blow outs and there's a menu of hairstyles to chose from. I was in and out with clean, perfectly styled hair in just under an hour.
