Although they only do blowouts, they do them better than anyone in the industry. I was so happy to see Drybar opened in Rancho last year so I don't have to drive to Pasadena. I missed my Barfly membership immensely during Covid, and am thrilled to see them open again. You can't go wrong with any of their stylists, but I really love Ceci, AKA Cecilia, AWESOME!!! I walk in looking like death, but in about an hour they make me feel like I look like a million bucks! I then walk out doing my HAPPY DANCE!! My hair has never looked better since I started my Barfly membership and I recommend anyone who is trying to get their hair in tip top shape start a membership. Plus you get a free blowout on your birthday, yay! I also love that you can book your appointments directly from their APP, so convenient! This dry bar is a joke and its been that way! Im forced to come here since last year that I moved in the area! Lets start with how late they always run! But god forbid you are 1 min late to their 10 minute policy Theyll 100% refuse to take you. I had an appointment at 11:15 couldn't make it till 11:26 and denied to see. They preferred their free time till their following appointment at 12:30. This is simply poor customer service On top of it she rescheduled my appointment till her next available "1:15" when online a 1PM was available. I would give a zero if I could. I waited over an hour and a half with an appointment. They knew they were backed up and didn't have the decency to call people. They have the numbers of bar fly members. The person at the desk was rude and never gave truthful information, including the number of people in front of me. I asked why they didn't just call they have my number. See said it was against policy then told a woman after me that she would call her when they were ready for her. I ended up doing a dry style because I was late. It was the worst I have bad. Worst DRY BAR EVER. They don't deserve 1 star. Not only did I walk out in the middle of my blowout, I was burned with scolding water twice. Durning shampooing not only was my scalp burned, I also had water running down the front of my face. I was told as a member that a manager would be in touch with me. That was not the case. I left two messages and of course no reply. The also need a dress code to be put in place everyone of the employees working that day look as if they were just out of bed. My experience here did not start well because I had to wait with wet hair for about half an hour which I think was because some miscommunication. The girl that washed my hair started doing one of her friends hair and I waited until I asked someone. Then I had Sesi or Sesilia come and do my hair and omg. She is amazing, someone should give her a raise. My hair looks and feels amazing, she gets 5 stars from me. I have gotten my hair done at many of Drybar locations, Torrance, Marina del Rey, and the DTLA one and a couple times here and never has my hair looked this great. I can't believe this will be my 5th year coming here and 5th year I will have the barfly membership. For the last couple years I have been going to Devon who is absolutely amazing. She knows my usual order a Mai Tai. She gets the volume just right and my curls last all week! I have very dry scalp so I can go a week without washing. However, when I do wash I need a really good scrub and Devon does a great job! It's my favorite part of the service of course! If you have blonde hair try the blonde ale mask as every time I leave Drybar people think I got a refresh on my balayage. read more

Truthfully, not my favorite experience. I showed up on 10 minutes early for my appointment and they took 35 minutes to get me in a chair. Which is fine but they didn't really explain that to me. They're running behind. I added the scalp massage. She didn't know I added it and only did about eight minutes scalp massage. I still paid for the full price, the girl was very nice but I feel like I took this at home. My hair was still really frizzy and the top was flat in the bottom was curly. Just didn't think it was very flattering overall, I don't think I'll go back for the price. It was over $80 for this blow out and I still feel like my hair is frizzy and flat. I made an appointment for an Uptini a month in advance for my bridal shower today. My appointment was at 9:15 am. I got in the car to drive to my appointment and received a call at 9 am that two of their stylists didn't show up to work and I was told that my appointment was canceled. The unprofessional girl who called me sounded half asleep and was not apologetic AT ALL that she had canceled my appointment 15 min before I was supposed to be there. She asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said no because I needed it today for my bridal shower and rescheduling it would do nothing for me. Overall, a very unprofessional salon. I chose the "Cosmo Thai" which is supposed to be lose curls and beachy waves. An hour and 20 minutes later, I end up looking like I washed my hair at home and did nothing to it. The stylist used the blow drier and round brush. She then proceeded to ask if I wanted her to go over with the hair curler to give me more lose curls (I had no curls or waves). I made an appointment for 1215 and, unfortunately, I was running a few minutes behind. I tried to call the shop a couple times but there was no answer. I reached the shop at 1220 and there was one employee still finishing a client's hair - he was about halfway through. He told me to sit down, and someone would be with me shortly. I waited and assumed someone else would be coming up to get me for my appointment, but after 10 minutes (now 1230) there had been no communication. I politely asked if someone was coming up from the back. His reply was to remind me that I was 5 minutes late (which I am not sure is relevant since they were clearly running behind and there was no other employee in the shop available to take me). Hence, why no one was answering the phone. So now it is about 1233 (18 minutes past my appt time) and he was not going to be finished for at least another ten minutes. I could tell he was agitated so I decided to leave as it was extremely uncomfortable. I completely understand that I was a few minutes late but being unable to reach the salon and having to wait another 20 minutes for my appointment is unacceptable, particularly because he was very rude. I have to been to many Drybars, I think the concept and idea is fantastic. Out of all the ones I have visited in California, the Rancho Cucamonga shop is managed well and all the stylists I have had are so wonderful. They deep clean my hair and they are super friendly overly friendly but during these times I think everyone just wants people contact and to be social which is pleasant and I do not mind at all! I am quite simple with my style so I usually choose the Manhattan with a little bend or a straight out flat iron. I have used Brittany and Alexis and both are very wonderful. The manager is fantastic because they know who I am which is cordial and sweet but their greeting is like to for all customers. 5 stars all the way I wish there were more people here because this is probably by far the largest Dry Bar I have seen. I had an appointment for me and a guest and like other reviewers mentioned, we were sent home with messy hair. The whole experience was very disappointing. On Saturday I had an appointment at 1pm in Rancho Cucamonga for a blowout, which did not start until 1:45, making me late to the wedding I had the blowout for. I understand getting busy, as apparently a local high school had its prom that night, but it's unacceptable to have to wait 45 minutes for an appointment. I would have left but I live almost an hour away, and I arrived with dirty hair in preparation for my service, leaving me no time to go home and do my own hair. Also a song came on and the lyrics went "I only want it if she swallows" which is extremely inappropriate, especially since they have services for kids. I'm giving two stars because the girl who did my blowout was apologetic, and hurried as much as she could, while still doing a good job, but it's still unacceptable to run that far behind. This was my first experience with Drybar, and I would love to come back, but I wouldn't trust getting out on time if I had an event, and unfortunately I would only pay to have my hair done if I was attending an event. I purchased my session online and saw that they offered a scalp massage for $10 - I love scalp massages so I had to jump on that offer. To my surprise, Jordan who did my hair didn't give me a scalp massage and I was too embarrassed to ask about it. My friend also got her hair done there that same day and she said her scalp massage was amazing - I am so sad that I wasn't blessed with the same type of service. The worker had no remorse and did not care for the many of us waiting ahead of this woman, and at this point I was realizing it was going to be probably an hour and a half before I even got my hair washed, pushing me late to my own event. I had to decide to leave as I now needed to go home and shower and get to where I needed to be as I couldn't wait any longer with no promise or respect. The worker was rude, canceled my reservation and I said it's really unprofessional to not either give people a call or realistic wait times, or to let people cut in front of others who had much earlier scheduled times. People use these types of services specifically for special events. Most people don't spent $50 to get their hair done randomly, it's for something special. Appointment times are specific times for a reason, and it's insane to think people are able to wait 1-1.5hrs just to sit down to begin service. Why not have enough staff to match the appointments you double or triple book or if you intend to pull people behind others if they just select a specific stylist. I ended up being very late to my event and very stressed out as I was rushed trying to get ready at this point myself and was soooo insanely excited to try out my membership to this business and was left with nothing but disappointment. The worker just shooed me out as I explained you know people use this specifically for events, it's really sad how little regard you guys have for those customers who came in depending on it. I was shocked by the lack of customer service and care. I said this is not my fault I have to cancel and leave as you are not upholding your appointment times, and I should not receive any cancellation fee from this because it's not my fault I couldn't jeopardize being even more late to my event. She shooed me away and sounded like it wouldn't charge me. I made a complaint with customer service because I wanted to ensure I didn't get charged a fee, as well as possibly cancel my membership because I really don't have interest to try this again at my local location so really won't even be able to use it now... and they were very unhelpful. Said they'd contact me back, and still have not, and guess what I woke up to!!! A $20 late fee with an email about not cancelling late.... you gotta be kidding me. What's the point of appointment times, and what's the point even of this business if you don't care about your customers first, or if you don't uphold appointment times within an hour of the time. I'm just so bummed this is how this turned out and reading through reviews I see it's a common thing here so I don't see how I could continue my membership if this location is my only option.. Do not go here if you have a special event. Unless you're able to go 5 hours early to ensure you're good, which isn't realistic on days people have special events let's be honest. ***also more recent update! Short review: *Made a reservation at Drybar Rancho Cucamonga for 10 am; was seen at 10:30 am *The stylist was struggling and a second person had to come help her (if i had to guess it was the stylist's first blowout ever). *I ordered a $10 mudslide treatment but I'm pretty sure the stylist forgot to apply it. I couldn't see what she was doing while i was sitting in the shampoo sink so i just took her word for it. *Blowout price $59 for a sloppy blow-out that lasted about 30 minutes before curls flattened. *The worst was the shop manager's comment that i had too much hair.
