I came in to make an appointment and the receptionist was less than enthused to answer a couple questions for a first-time customer. When I came back for my appointment I was taken to the wash station, where the shampoo and condition lasted 5 minutes and not a second longer. As someone with very thick hair that short amount of time is frightening. I have textured hair and the lack of product mixed with not using a brush during the blowout left my hair tangled and crispy. Then the stylist asked me what I wanted done with my hair so I showed her a photo, she immediately told me my hair wouldn't do that. I assured her that it would and showed her photos of my hair doing exactly that. She couldn't fathom it, so I had to explain to her what tools to use and how to do it. She had a book with about 8 different hairstyles at her station so I showed her a photo that looked similar to what I wanted and she said ok. I specifically asked her not to use hairspray until the very end because of my allergies and she didn't let that stop her. She probably sprayed my head 50 times. By the end of it I knew I was never coming back. My hair had never felt worse and I had to fix it as soon as I got home. You can tell everyone is watching the clock and trying to get everything done at lightning speed even though there's no one else waiting to get their hair done. I'm not going to drop my stylist's name. She was nice, but too inexperienced to be dealing with clients. I should never have to explain to a stylist how to curl beach waves on medium/long hair. It usually takes my normal stylist 90 minutes to wash, blow dry, and curl my hair--she did it in 50, and it looked like it. read more

The only reason I took away one star is because they do tend to run behind on time after going to them twice. I have not had issues with the stylist as they always listen to what I want and how I want it. My hair is not the easiest to manage but they have done a great job. My lack of stars are for the front desk person NOT MY stylist. Stephanie did a great job she was fast and my hair turned out GREAT! My problem was after my service when I got charged, no where at all displays that this place doesn't take cash nor did the front desk lady inform me before my service. I had no debt cards on me or I didn't have Apple Pay. I felt so embarrassed, I didn't know what to do as my service was already done! I even asked if I can pay exact cash and she told me to go get a gift card at target and come back? As an owner or manager I would be furious, how did she know I would return back? I got my hair done before work so I didn't have time to go to a store and do what she suggested. Thank goodness a nice lady heard what was going on and told me she would pay for my service and I gave her cash. If it wasn't for her I would literally be stuck. I had my worst experience ever here with Malcom. He was nice but after coming here my hair smelled terribly burnt. My hair still smells like this and we're going on 2 weeks since he did my blow out. I had to wash it the night I got it done because I was literally waking up in my sleep to the awful stench. It is still lingering in my hair. I use Redken and Pureology products and it's clearly not them and they can't even get the stench out. I'd really like a refund. This establishment does not require the stylists to be licensed with the cosmetology board and quite frankly, it shows. I hope they do the right thing and refund me. read more

Absolutely love the Drybar in Victoria Gardens. I go to this Drybar every week and the service is awesome. Brianna usually does my hair and she is an expert at getting my crazy curly hair straight, plus it lasts for a week. If I go on a day that Brianna is not working, I have had the same great experience. All the girls are very good at getting my hair super straight. The Drybar App is so easy to use too. They sell a straightening brush called "brush crush" and it is by far the best straightening brush I have ever used. In the morning I just run it through my hair a couple times and my hair is perfect. The front desk girls are very friendly as is the entire staff. For someone like myself who has fought with trying to control my crazy curly hair my entire life...Drybar is my Happy Place. read more

This was my second time going to a blow dry bar. The first experience was great. I am disappointed with my service at the Rancho Cucamonga location. The stylist acted as if she charged by the minute, and not based off of the service. She told my daughter she could do two braids with a a small up do and by then after she finished curling my daughters hair she informed her there was not enough time to do as previously stated. I went here to get my hair done for prom. My stylist was really nice but it seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. i asked her multiple times to spray more and more hairspray and she would do the tiniest spray. My hair ended up looking nothing like the picture and the curls had completely fallen out within an hour because of the lack of hair spray. I had to fully re curl my hair myself before pictures. Do not bother making an appointment at this location. I waited more than 30 minutes past my appointment time and was not seen. I had to cancel because I didn't have the luxury of time to just wait around. What is the point of making an appointment and then saying if we don't show up, you'll charge a cancellation fee when you don't even have your schedule together? And there was no communication made to me while I waited. I drove 40 minutes to come here WITH my kids because that's the only choice I had. My husband was waiting around walking them around and it was all for nothing. The person in the front doesn't even stay up there to try and greet customers. I have been coming to dry bar for ages and have never had to wait as long as I did at this location. I even heard them lie to someone who showed up 10 minutes late and say they can no longer take her because they have 115 and 130 appointments waiting. Umm no you don'. You still had many 1:00 appointments waiting!! They had so many people waiting for their appointments that people were lined up waiting outside! Dry bar has gone down so much in my books. read more

They would not have seen me at the time of my appointment and probably had me waiting 30; they were backed up by two when I got there with all chairs full. Service was the worst I have ever had done to my hair. I waited for 15-20 after my appointment time. The girl that I got could not work with curly hair, to make it just a straight blow dry. First she used the wrong type of brush, then she sectioned my hair wrong, I asked her try another brush and she was rude about it. Then she flat-ironed my hair crispy Burt; I finally asked her to stop after she Burt the side of my head quiet a few time with flatiron. I've visited several Drybar locations in the Bay Area. This was my first time at the Rancho Cucamonga location. Johnny was the best. Great conversation, great mimosas. My hair is extremely long and naturally coarse and curly. Johnny gave me a Cosmo with gentle volume. Lasted all day and well into the evening for an event I was attending. Front desk was very courteous and gave great customer service. I've had hit or miss at Drybar locations. I usually schedule for 'day of' and if it lasts longer than two days, its a plus. I received a gift card from my husband for Christmas to come here. I've been to other dry bars before but never this specific location. I booked online two appointments one for myself and one for my daughter. First off, the reception desk and receptionist was pleasant and did her job. My Experience, the stylist that did my hair barely spoke two words to me, asked me what style I wanted and i just wanted the beach curls I believe it is called Mai Tai. Worst blow out ever I had super curled hair and when I made mention of it she said don't worry it will calm down. Here i am next day and I still hate it. What a waste of time and money. My daughter who is 9 was in tears when we left because her hair stylist was digging her nail into her head to make her part instead of using a comb. And stated the Stylist was really rough with her. I regularly get my daughters hair done at another dry bar in Rancho Cucamonga and she loves it. At the end the receptionist asked if i wanted to tip the stylist and I said yes, but she was not able to make change for a $20.00 not sure how an establishment cant give change for a 20.00 so i had to make another charge on my card in order to tip the stylist. My appointment was cancelled 3 hours before the scheduled and confirmed appointment. They could not squeeze me in anywhere or make any other accommodations for me despite the extremely short notice I was given. I was going to a wedding, so it was pretty stressful and unfortunately, I did my own hair and did not feel especially good going to the event. They stated that I don't have to worry about paying the $50 cancellation fee. ?!?! That REALLY set me off, since they made it sound like they were doing me a favor by not charging the $50 charge in penalties for an appointment that THEY canceled. They require a 24 hours notice from their customers but they don't provide you with the same courtesy or the customer service. I asked them for a $50 store credit for canceling an appointment with only 3 hours notice, but they refused. That would have made me feel a lot better and probably provide them with a good review re. their customer service skills. I hope that they think twice in the future before deciding to treat their customers with little to no respect of their time. Pretty disappointing. read more
