Having used an online service (which directed us to a different dealership for the "best price") our main intention was to simply test drive the Mazda 3 and if we liked it we were to head to a different dealership the following day. MICHAEL BARRILLEAUX, the great; was our sales consultant. He took us on the ABSOLUTE BEST test drive. Literally, he goes the extra mile to really show you what the car can do. Hills, freeway, bumpy road, curves, etc. We did it all. His route is calculated and he knows the product. We decided to negotiate, interested if Dublin Mazda could meet or beat the price we had in mind. We left to think on the deal. Made some calls and test drove another make/model nearby. We found ourselves back at Dublin Mazda 30 min. before closing time. Dublin Mazda wants you, this is the difference. They want your business and not only just to sell a car (while we all know that is the main reason) they want you to COME BACK, to refer others, to leave good reviews - for that I vote, hands down 5 stars. I came to look at a 2012 Honda. I had an appointment with car salesman named Daniel G., terrible salesman. Sure, he was great and attentive at the beginning but once I told him that I had to look at 2 other cars before deciding on which one I would proceed with he had a fit like a 2 yr old. Very unprofessional, like a switch turned on, very unprofessional, biggest brat I have encountered all year, embarrassing. I went to Dublin from Marin County to look at a 2010 Ford Fusion at Dublin Honda. As I drove into the parking lot of the dealership I saw the car that I originally came to look at being sold to a family of four. I was devastated after coming all this way. I had been reaching cars for months and I thought I found my gem. I guess something better was just around the corner here. Because I ventured off here we thought that we might as well look around at near by dealerships and Mazda was the next one over. We were greeted by a guy named George or Greg (forgive me, I am bad with names). He took me over to see a couple of cars within my price range when out of the corner of my eye I see a 2012 Mazda3i, white with everything I could want in a car. It was a few grand above my price range but we were able to work out a fair deal. They even took my 2005 Ford Mustang with 131160 miles on it and gave me a fair trade in offer. I drove there, was set up correctly, had a loaner, finished up the errands and chores that I had to do that were thrown out of kilter by the flake tire place. WASTE OF MY TIME. I reached out via the internet asking for a price for a specific model. Salesperson replies (sep 8) and gets the ball rolling, asking for my zip code (I assume for tax purposes when formulating a price?). I give the zip code, but then ... NO RESPONSE. I reach back out, asking for an offer or to pass me on to someone who can help. Instead of an offer, I get this "If you have a quote from another dealership you'd like us to take a look at and try to beat I'd be more than happy to take a look at it.". I am not at the point of trying to get price match, I simply need Dublin Mazda's price, but for some reason they wont give it. The salesperson literally followed up with "We'll pass, thank you."......??? They won't give me a price, but only want to play the price match game? I inquired further, but NO RESPONSE. I called the dealership and was transferred to sales, and it went to voicemail, so I left a voicemail asking for the sales manager. Again, NO RESPONSE. Fast forward to Oct 18, I get a follow up email from the original salesperson asking if I was still in the market for a Mazda and how they could help. I replied that I was, but reminded him to check his email thread/history with me, how he wouldn't give me a price but would only match/beat others. I asked him again, if I could get an offer this time ..... again, NO RESPONSE. Fast forward to Nov 5th, I get a callback from the sales manager there, following up on behalf of the salesperson. He says he's following up from my voicemail from a few days ago, I corrected him that it's been weeks, not days. He tells me he was on vacation. He tells me how great Dublin Mazda is, and how he'll talk to the original salesperson at a later time. Fine, can I get an offer? He directs me to their website for pricing. This is not my first time purchasing a car, I know that advertised prices are not necessarily final prices. I specifically asked him to confirm, whether I worked with a live salesperson or with the internet listed prices, is there any difference? The response then leads to how great Dublin Mazda is, how so many satisfied customers keep coming back, and how the cheapest prices is not always the best offer. He says if I get a price that beats theirs, to come into their dealership with my checkbook and sit down with them to figure something out. This is 2020. All I need is an offer, and I can decide how to move forward with whoever I choose. I explain to him that I am reaching out to multiple dealers, and simply going to show up to the dealer with the best offer/pricing with my money. He interrupts and says something along the lines of "bless you, check our website for prices". So as the sales manager, he is saying the internet pricing is the price I need to refer, yet the original salesperson only wanted to match/beat competing prices? Buying a car is never an easy experience, especially if it's your first time. But my boyfriend and I had the best experience by far at Dublin Mazda. We had visited at least 4 other Mazda's in the area before arriving in Dublin (San Jose, Redwood City, Fremont, etc) but as soon as we walked into the Dublin Mazda, we were impressed - by far the best space out of them all. The newly renovated space looks super clean and upscale. All the meeting spaces are glass and there's a nice waiting lounge with drinks and a TV. Troy was our sales rep and he made the whole process super comfortable and efficient. We felt like he took us seriously and was not pushy at all. Upon first walking into the Mazda, we did have to wait about ~20 mins for a sales rep to approach us, which was not a great start. Not really sure why it took so long but it was fairly uncomfortable. Maybe because they're super busy on Saturdays? But then our salesperson, Troy, approached us and from then on, things went uphill from there. He took us out on a quick test drive and after that, we jumped straight into the buying process. The only thing we went in knowing was that we wanted a pre-owned Mazda 3 but other than that, the rest of the car buying process was new to us. Luckily, Troy helped us out by not pressuring us with anything and answering any questions we had. He also was a really easy to talk to guy, so we're glad that in the end, our sale went to him. The negotiation process did take quite a while (about an hour), but in the end I think we were able to settle on something reasonable that both sides were happy with. The one main con I will say is that after the price was decided, the rest of the car buying process took another 7 hours. While part of that time was spent filling out paperwork and dealing with financial tasks (maybe 1-2 hours total), a large portion of that time was also spent waiting (mainly for the finance manager to be ready). This probably was because we went in on a Saturday afternoon but even when we left around 9 PM (the store closes at 7), we noticed at least two other families behind us who were still waiting for their finance appointment. The car process is expected to be long and drawn out, but we were fairly tired by the end. Maybe in the future they could plan to have more finance managers available? We did really appreciate Troy staying behind late for us though to take car of showing us our new car. I will say that the finance manager was a lot more "salesman-y" in that he really seemed to want us to buy an additional warranty, which wasn't as enjoyable of a process as we had with Troy. But in the end we were actually able to get a pretty good deal on a 5-year service package so that was good. I can't say much for the inventory or shape/condition of the cars since I personally know nothing about them (that was my boyfriend's job haha) but in terms of the dealership and service itself, I would rate it a 5/5. We drove around 45 minutes to get here and it was definitely worth it - we will probably even continue to come here for future service apts. Overall, we would definitely recommend checking out this dealership, especially if you already know you are interested in a Mazda. read more

I bought the car used from Dublin Mazda a year ago (2017 CX-5 touring) and it's been an amazing vehicle for me. As for the personnel, they are more than awesome. Made sure I was set up to work out of the lobby/lounge with coffee/tea/water and some snack to enjoy during the service. Definitely the most work I've completed while out of the office. The staff is 11/10. The receptionist was super accommodating. The service staff, Sam & Damon specifically, helped me understand the state of the vehicle, made recommendations accordingly and educated me when I had questions about driving function. Lastly, the onsite sales manager Alex check on me several times making sure I was good to go. I was worried about buying a car as it can be intimidating, but I didn't experience any of that. I was shopping desperately for an affordable, reliable vehicle after my Kia SUV was stolen in Oakland (near Lake Merritt). I saw an ad from Dublin Mazda for a 2013 Mini Cooper (my dream car) for a very reasonable price. It's the cutest one (I prefer older models for aesthetics). I made an appointment with Keith (the manager) immediately. The next morning, I met a salesperson named Elvis (!). He was easy to approach and answered my questions in a very low-key manner. The car looked even better than the photos. I did a test drive. The whole transaction went very smoothly. It has been a week since I purchased the Mini, and I am beyond ecstatic! For an older vehicle, the price was a steal, and it had only 70K miles. I took it for a mountainous terrain drive, and the pickup of the engine felt quick and strong. All electronics were intact except for the right front blinker's bulb, which was burned off, and I took care of that on my own (for more serious future problems, I took their recommendation of buying an extra warranty from BMW). Wanting to charge a $78 fee to activate a feature that only the dealership can do. Also to reprogram a key they wanted to charge $175 to do so. What a rip off! So, if you're looking to do so, go to the DGDG Concord Mazda. They reprogrammed a key for $72 and to activate a feature that only dealership could for FREE! And when talking to the service department they were POSITIVE My vehicle didn't have that feature for that specific year. Maybe you should do your homework mister service department know it all. They took advantage of a young woman who came in for a routine oil change to maintain her new car warranty and did unnecessary service without approval. Over $400 in unnecessary service was charged to us and now Tracy at the front desk is screening our calls and Heather Brown in the service department as well.
