I already wrote a review for the Kirkland (Totem Lake) location given how often we eat there, but when I'm in the office, I eat at this location from time to time. Same great food for a fair price and great quality given the "fast food" nature of this restaurant. My kids often get Italian pasta at far more high end restaurants in Seattle and the Eastside - off the adult and not the kids menu - and Due' Cucina absolutely destroys a number of them. We decided to drive to Seattle last minute for New Years Eve. I wanted a quick bite to eat that was kid friendly and not super expensive since I have 4 mouths to feed! Found this place on Yelp and it was DELICIOUS!!! I love their set up, the menu, the fast service! We basically ordered the first 4 pastas on the menu + one kids pasta. My kids aren't picky at all but usually have one kid that might not agree with a meal but tonight they all finished their plates clean!! My 15 year old actually ordered another bowl to go! Lol The food was fresh, hot, very flavorful and I loved their sauce and noddles. I ordered the Salmon pasta. I actually enjoyed the flavor of my husbands Mushroom truffle pasta more. "Shut up and take my money" - me and my roommate to Due. My roommate and I are regulars at Due. Due has sort of become our neighborhood drug dealer around the corner, except the drug is pasta. I live a block away from Due, and my addiction for their all'Amatriciana with bucatini is no joke. The pork is so crispy and yet melts in your mouth. The right balance of tomato sauce. Their bucatini pasta is special - has the right amount of al dente and thick enough to create some interesting texture and action when you chew and slurp the bucatini pasta. Also, Due is reliably super fast when they whip out their pastas. When I order online, by the time I walk to and arrive at Due, my pasta is ready. 5-10 minute walk from my place to Due Also a fan of their truffle oil mushroom pasta for days when I'm not feeling a tomato-based sauce. If you're not feeling pasta and want something light, the arugula side salad with the balsamic vinaigrette and ricotta is a healthy, light option. They have gluten-free pasta! IMO, their ghost chili oil doesn't really have flavor but adds some spice. Maybe just opt for red pepper flakes if you want only spice. I've had their Cacio & Pepe and Kale Pesto pasta. We stopped by on a Firday evening and boy this place was busy. We ordered the mushroom and white truffle oil pasta one of my fav items here with soy flour pasta. While th sauce was great the soy flour noodles were too a la dente(almost rawish) and too rubbery and chewy to eat. This location did not do a great job cooking their healthy pasta well which kinda made it harder for me to enjoy my fav white truffle mushroom sauce (which btw is delicious) We also ordered the sourdough and highly recommend their eggplant parmigiana (one of the best I have EVER had). I also ordered a side of their chilli oil but that was not spicy for my palette so I would skip that next time. For desserts, we ordered their tiramisu and loved it. Its addictive and cutely presented in a coffee cup. The food is delicious and flavorful and is ready in a very short span of time. you can dine in or order to-go. It had a subtle truffle flavor that went well with the mushrooms. The burrata and toast and the fried rice ball thingys were also pretty good. I would come back just for that truffle pasta haha Service - very friendly and patient and introduced their favorites to me and which pasta shapes go well with what pastas. We were able to walk in with a party of 8 on a Saturday night and find seating easily. The counter service ordering setup is so nice because you don't have to mess with wait staff and table availability. Usually good pasta places are expensive, sit down, and a time consuming commitment (and getting all dressed up ugh) and the cheap pasta places taste bad and bland. This place is the best of both worlds where it's high quality and handmade without the excessive time commitment, hassle, and high price tag. Tasty! My visit was a few months ago now, but seeing the Totem Lake location open up reminded me to leave a note here. Prices here are surprisingly low for a higher end Italian place! I do think the serving sizes are proportional to the price though, so they are a bit smaller than other joints. Tons of meatless options too so a friendly option for anyone, regardless of preferences. There's a ton of customization possible too with extra items and pasta types so go all out. Bolognese is a nice and safe pick, but man I wanted to try everything and wasn't sure, I just knew I wanted some protein.
