Nut allergy friendly: No issues with the pizza here and I don't think they have many nuts overall on the menu. Time-to-Food; 16 Minutes We got here around 4:30PM on a Saturday afternoon for their 4-6PM daily happy hour and were seated outside with no issues. For two people, we shared the Funghi pizza (8/10) and a beer and an Old Fashioned each. The Funghi pizza was very sharable, had a good balance of truffle oil and cheese and mushroom, and a nice crispy and not too thick crust. Would definitely come back for the happy hour pizza. I wouldn't get a cocktail again - it was pretty watered down and had too much ice. The beer was just poured out of a can and so $8 for an IPA is quite expensive. I'd definitely come back and order some other things from the happy hour menu aside from beverages. No issues paying via inKind and applying a referral discount.

I stumbled upon Rione XIII after striking out on Italian restaurants that were open late (8pm) on a Friday and I was presently surprised. The authenticity of flavor in their dishes, to the staff being very open to educate on both the food and drink menus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A great experience and the low lit look and feel was the icing on the cake to close the evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We went on a Tuesday night since I knew happy hour was till close on Monday and Tuesdays! You just have to sit at the patio or bar. For happy hour you get full sized items for much cheaper (I think pasta was essentially $10 off)! Everything was so tasty but I don't know if I would pay full price for it, I would definitely come back for happy hour though! The pasta was especially delicious, the noodles were cooked perfectly! The servers were also very attentive and helpful as well giving us their recommendations. Also, just of note, there is an automatic 20% service fee included.

I came here for a phenomenal cacio e pepe recommendation, ordered the wrong C pasta (ordered a Carbonara) and the Funghi pizza-- and my god!! It was THe best pizza I've ever tasted!! The ratio of crust to topping was perfect and the texture of the crust was so perfect too!! The service was awesome and we could see everyone that worked there liked their job! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was great for a date night or a nice dinner with friends![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love it and will return!!

One of my favorite Italian places to go to. We had the burrata, spaghetti And the fungi pizza. For dessert we got the tiramisu which was delicious. The service is really great and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is quiet and cozy, great for date nights[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is an Ethan Stowell Restaurant located in Capitol Hill. The service was amazing when we went to this restaurant and probably what we paid for. As for the food, it was barely mid. My friend and I ordered the Bruschetta & Burrata as appetizers, which were probably the best dishes of the night. The Tonnarelli was very salty and the noodles were too al dente - there were crunchy parts that were definitely uncooked. My friend ordered the Potato Gnocchi, which he wasn't too fond of and was surprised about. He though the gnocchi would actually be potatoes in small gnocchi shaped sizes. It was disappointing to say the least. For the price, the food wasn't worth it. However, we extremely enjoyed the service we had from our server and hostess. They were super friendly and funny. Though the food wasn't great, we enjoyed our time eating.

I am shocked that this restaurant only has 3.8 stars! Thursday nights they have BOGO pasta off the main menu, and we went during happy hour (4 - 6 PM). I was so impressed with their summer sausage/green squash pasta dish (5/5 stars blow your mind amazing), under carbonara (4.5/5 stars) was good as well. Unfortunately, the seasonal shrub (2/5 stars) had such a strong vinegar taste that I sent it back, but I did not really enjoy the rosemary lemonade (2/5 stars, tasted too similar to Minute Made lemonade) I got, either. Overall, we are thrilled, and plan on going back some Thursday - or maybe during another happy hour to try some of the pizzas!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful spot, lovely atmosphere, especially for the summer when they have the windows open.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One of the few places in that area that takes reservations way in advance for groups of four and isn't stupid expensive. Kind staff. Great menu options, delicious food and drinks. Many other fun bars and shops nearby if you want to hop around. We found FREE parking near here pretty easily and did a short Lyft drive over to Paramount.

Tl;dr this place hits. Rione is in a quieter part of cap hill with a cozy, intimate ambiance. There's some street parking, but can be a little difficult. I ended up parking in the nearby Safeway lot My friends and I ordered the burrata to share, the mushroom papardelle, bucatini, and radiatore. And tiramisu for dessert. The burrata was a solid 7/10. Very light, but on the sweeter side since it comes with figs and apricots. It was yummy, but it hit the least. Radiatore was 10/10. That pasta hit. It was perfectly cooked, I love the pasta shape because it holds so much of the bolognese sauce in the ridges, and the sauce itself was delicious. It was also just a touch spicy which added a good extra layer of flavor. Bucatini also 10/10. The pasta also hit. The pasta noodles were nice and chewy, perfectly al dente and the sauce was flavorful. Papardelle, I wasn't a huge fan but only because its main flavor is mushrooms and I'm a bit of a mushroom hater. My friend really enjoyed it though. Extra note, the past portions are large, so I'd recommend sharing, or packing leftovers for another meal. Lastly, we got tiramisu for dessert which hit extra. It comes with a little almond cookie which was so good. The tiramisu itself was super moist and the perfect balance of bitter coffee and sweet cream. The service here was also amazing , 10/10. Our server, Diego, was super attentive and helpful. The restaurant automatically adds a 22% gratuity to the bill, which is a lot, but I think it was well deserved this time. Would definitely come again!

A friend of mine has suggested this place several times. Finally happened to be in the area where it worked out for us to go. They didn't have any reservations available at the time that we showed up so we got a table at the bar. Happy hour from 4 to 6. From the happy hour menu, we ordered the focaccia, the salumi board, Casio Pepe, and the bucatini amatriciana. You cannot beat the fresh pasta by far away one of the best meals I've had in a very long time.

This place serves Roman style pizza, which has thin crust and rectangular shape. The food here is good, although not the *best* Italian spot I've found. We got focaccia as a starter, and this was solid! I really liked the ricotta it came with. For our mains we got the golden potato pizza and luchame pasta. The golden potato pizza was good, but anchovy overpowered it with salt since the rest of the pizza was a bit bland. The luchame was nice too, but it too was a little on the salty side. The service was great though and the staff was very friendly. Not sure if I would go out of my way to come here again, but we did have a nice meal.

Really pleasant atmosphere. The server was super nice and helpful. My friend has a nut allergy, and the restaurant was very accommodating. I don't generally like salty food, but I think everything just needed a pinch more salt to bring out the flavors.

    James R.

I really enjoyed the neighborhood feel of Rione. It is a place where you can just drop in. There were some fun cocktails and a decent sized bar. Service was pleasant and relatively quick. The restaurant features pasta and I ordered the carbonara. It was flavorful and the noodles were tender. You may want to stick with the pasta dishes over the steak.

Tucked down the alley by the gum wall, it's a great option for wood fired pizzas. The space is fairly small and very low-lit, but thriving with energy. Our service was fantastic, drinks were good, but besides the pizza the food was pretty hit or miss. We had a table of 4 and we kept the table full the entire time. We started off with a salad, spicy mac n cheese, cheese sticks, and Brie and cheese. Salad was light and refreshing. The cheese sticks were pretty normal, but also good. The spicy mac n cheese to me had zero spice. Just some mac in a cast iron pan. The apple and Brie had a nice presentation but the smallest amount of Brie possible(my picture was too blurry to post). The Broccolini I am not sure how it was defined as broccolini because the 5 pieces that came on the plate were huge. While packed with flavors of lemon and Parmesan they had a very tree like feel and were a bit on the harder side. The El Diablo pizza, to be straight forward was by far the best part of the stop. The crust could have been a little more well done, but that's just me splitting hairs. I ate more of that than anyone else. Probably could have finished it myself if I hadn't stopped for a lobster roll beforehand. Either way, great service, good drinks and legit pizzas!

Karin has taken care of us countless times, whether it's a quiet Monday or an absolutely packed one due to the events at the town hall across the street, and they have always been warm, patient, and accommodating. I actually celebrated my birthday here because it's one of my favorite spots. I am part of the large group that one of the recent negative reviews is referring to. It happened immediately after the USA FIFA match, and the restaurant was the busiest I've ever seen it. Despite that, Karin still went out of their way to accommodate our requests that normally wouldn't be possible due to the rush, including trying to help with separate tabs when they'd already explained that large groups would likely need to stay on one check. As for things like grabbing water, silverware, plates, or chili flakes...our table had already gotten those before a majority of the group arrived. It's a casual pizzeria, on one of their busiest days ever. Setting and cleaning up the table (especially when seated outside) is not a problem for our group as we do it every week. Which is why it's upsetting that we opened our spot to someone that left such a nasty review. What stood out to me wasn't poor service. It's that despite how overwhelming it must have been to work post-FIFA, Karin was able to take orders, bartend, serve food, and close out checks with professionalism. Sometimes no matter how much effort someone puts in, not everyone leaves happy. The pizza is fantastic! I love showing up every week and trying what new slice they have come up with (in the year that I've been coming here there legit hasn't been a repeat). The atmosphere is great and the staff, especially Karin, have earned our loyalty over the past year. We'll absolutely continue coming back.

They are the nicest people ever! So friendly and accommodating and always smiling. Their pride in their restaurant really shows in their care of the food and customers. I had the infamous meatball sandwich and my wife had the chicken carbonara. They gave us each a slice of their pizza for free as they had a bit extra from one that just came out of the oven. The food was prepared in front of you which is always interesting to watch and the charming brick pizza oven was directly in front of us so we could watch that process as well. Pretty cool. There are a wide variety of pizzas and pastas, desserts and drinks (alcohol too!) available on the menu. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. I took my slice and went to sit outside near Pioneer Square so I could be outside and people watch. Pizza was tasty and solid, but the crust was too dry. I have a feeling the slice wasnt the most fresh, so thats why the crust was a bit dry. But, if you know me, I do jot like soggy pizza (I mean - who does??), so a bit drier isn't too big an issue. The rest of the slice was good. Slice of pizza and a diet coke came to close to $9. Gosh things are so expensive now. They do have a special of 2 slices for $8.99 but I couldnt eat two slices. Id definitely come back here again when back in this area. Thanks for feeding me and if you need a late night spot, this is your place!

I stopped in to try it out and spoke with the bartender who gave me a card to contact the manager. Hope they get back to me! My experience was good. The bartenders were attentive and made good drinks. The ambiance is nice and cozy with little lamps. I liked the visual menu. I will say that the drinks are a bit overpriced at more than $20 per drink. Down the street at Zig Zag Cafe they are $17 for a bit "finer dining" feel.

Unfortunately, the experience is consistently dampened by one of weekend bartenders. As others have mentioned, it's that taller bartender (Alex?) who repeatedly comes across as arrogant and dismissive to us; a less than desirable character trait for a bartender. It's such a pity because that is the sole reason we now lead our groups to spend their money and patronize other establishments instead. Recently we did give Diller another try, but sadly it's the same story and thus this feedback. Hospitality makes a HUGE difference. Bartending isn't just about making a good drink and expecting tips. As someone who tended bar all over Seattle for 23 years, I know how much energy and attitude shape a guest's night. When the service feels cold and passive-aggressively rude, it's hard to feel good about the experience. It's disappointing, because this place has so much potential. Hopefully management considers bringing in weekend staff whose personalities reflect the warmth and atmosphere the space deserves, there are plenty of more qualified bartenders in Seattle that would gladly fill their spot.
