We loved Due Fiori. We went on a Saturday night 6:30ish and stood in line for about 40minutes. Connor host/server came out repeatedly checking on people in line and ensuring they knew what to expect inside. He told us diversity in order was key as plates came out as ready. It was all served family style. Also, we could sample wine when we placed our order and recommended - Nebbiolo Rosato. After ordering, the host/server took us to a table. We started with Caesar which was covered in Parmesan and delicious. We also had bread & whipped ricotta. For our pastas, we took advantage of LBFSW and ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs - the meatballs were so flavorful. We also had the Fusilli & Pappardelle a limon - again both were yummy. The last thing to arrive was the Il Diavalo pizza - spicy and yummy. Servers checked in regularly. Outside patio is cute and comfortable. While I enjoy the family style, there should be some coordination in dishes. The Whipped Ricotta should be served with bread. A second set of plates should be offered after appetizers. Parking is in neighborhood and can be tough.

After seeing so many great reviews about this place, I had to try it myself. I anticipated a long line to get in, as people had been saying that you order and pay at the counter. I showed up around 5pm and sure enough there was already a line forming in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is located around a neighborhood, so you have to find street parking, which can be challenging. I already did my research on what I wanted to order, so my process went fairly smoothly. I imagine some other people were not as prepared and asked a lot of questions at the counter which can make the wait time even longer for other people in line. We ordered caesar salad, pizza focaccia with soppressata, squid ink tonnerelli, and ribeye tagliata. We also ordered some glasses of wine. After ordering, they walked us to our table inside. This location used to be a bbq restaurant- shady grove- before they closed down. And wow I was so impressed by the change of the patio vibe. It looked way nicer now under Due Fuori. I truly believe the vibe of a restaurant is equally important to the quality of the food, and this place nailed it. Also, apparently you can still order more stuff even after you're seated. They don't really have dedicated server for each table but the service was pretty efficient in my opinion. Now the food, everything was delicious, I have no notes! Caesar salad, very good. Pizza, omg amazing. And I'm not a pizza kinda person, so this is really a compliment! It's the thick kind of pizza, and they put some honey on it too which makes it even more delicious to me. Next was the squid ink pasta, another delightful dish. My only complaint is that it's not big enough of a portion, haha! The ribeye tagliata was so good. It was served with some salad that's very refreshing. The server explained to us that the original dish comes with the greens and cherry tomatoes underneath the meat, but they serve it separately to keep the freshness and crunch. The meat has some nice crust on the outside, very flavorful. We ended up taking some of the ribeye home, as we were already really full. It was plenty of food to share between two people. I definitely will come back to try other dishes, especially the other popular pasta dishes. This place has been really popular and I heard the line is still long even after a few months (or maybe it has been a year now?). Definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Italian food in town. Very hip, vibey place, and delicious food!

I know it might surprise people to know the Caesar salad is not an Italian thing at all, but it is a very Italian American thing invented right across the border in Tijuana at Caesar Cardini's restaurant 102 years ago this month. So it's fitting that a rendering of that famous salad is making a Long Beach Italian eatery famous 100 years later. Personally I'm not a fan of it just way too much Parmesan and not much else going on with it. But it is fun to look at and have a couple bites and it's more similar to the earlier versions of the Caesar salad. I appreciate that it is not over dressed like so many salads at restaurants can be. The fire roasted snap peas were amazing. We got a seafood pasta dish I can't remember what it was called but it was also delicious. The highlight of the night was Connor and the wine. They set us up with several tastes and enlightened us about this new orange wine trend. He was a fount of knowledge and made the counter ordering experience more fun. I would return for Connor and the wine and snap peas tomorrow. The space is loud, high energy and fully staffed so even though you order at the counter later it feels more like full service. No one really came around to offer more wine or dessert so not sure if they have dessert. Could have gone for another glass of wine but then not getting one saved me $15-18 and I could still ride my bike home. Their bread is supposed to be amazing so have to try that next time. It's not a cheap night out but it is a fun one. I wouldn't bring kids here or too large a group maybe 6 max.

I was surprised the line was long at 5:30 but it went by pretty fast and a server came out to give out menus and answer any questions which was a nice touch. Ordered the Cesar salad,margarita pizza and seafood squid ink pasta. Cesar Salad was outstanding with lots of flavor but was disappointed with the fig salad. Figs weren't ripe. Pizza dough was ok but nothing notable. Pasta was also average. Service was very good but don't think I will return.

Very unique concept and experience! We came towards opening so the line went by fast but it grew quite a bit by the time we left. Really amazing customer service, they'll explain the menu to you in line so you're prepared to order at the front. From there, you sit in the back patio area and dishes come out one by one. The menu itself is a bit on the higher end, but it's a great spot to split and share. Cesar salad and sourdough are a must! The pizza looked intriguing but we opted for three pasta dishes instead. Fusilli was my favorite, followed by the Cacio e Pepe, and then lemon pasta. I liked the unique noodle options and was satisfied with the dishes. It wasn't the best pasta I've ever had, you're definitely paying for ambiance and the experience. They serve tap water, so we ordered soft drinks and many tables had wine. Since they're so busy, they're constantly bussing your table to encourage you to leave. I don't think this is the best place to catch up with friends. Overall a unique spot in LB!

I love this restaurant! I can't wait to go back! You start by lining up to order first at the counter and then you are seated. There is a whole back area so don't be discouraged by the small front of the restaurant, there's more seating! The line moved relatively fast. The service was great, our waitress was very attentive. The food was amazing! We didn't have much expectations but it exceeded it. We got what the counter recommended which was the scallop crudo, Caesar salad, seafood pasta and pepperoni pizza. We thought the scallop crudo was the weakest, although the scallop was fresh, the dressing it came with didnt really do much? I personally think the star of the night was the Caesar salad! Probably one of the best Caesar salad I've every had. So good that I didn't want to share. Next time I'm ordering it just for myself! I love seafood and normally when I get a seafood pasta at any restaurant it's just whatever and fine, however the seafood pasta here was spectacular! The flavors were so bright and delicious, it really all came together. The pizza was also really good! But we couldn't finish it.

Absolutely worth the hype & more! Some of the best service and food I've had in LB. The people here are so nice and attentive to their guests. They let you try various wines to pair the perfect one with your meal. The vibes, colors, aesthetics are dreamy as hell. The food is meant to be shared family style which I loved. I've now tried their brunch & dinner menu which do have overlapping things. Pappardelle a Limone -- is just as good as everyone says. It's not too sour. Balanced perfectly with the creaminess. Def a fave Caesar Salad -- absolutely get it!! Covered in cheese. Crunchy but drenched in sauce and cheese. It's soooo good. Brunch Potatoes -- they're okay. I wouldn't get again. Brunch Sourdough -- absolutely get it! The bread itself is phenomenal but also the jam it comes with is on its own level. CACIO e PEPE -- creamy, just the right amount of pepper Spaghetti & Meatballs -- the sauce is to die for. So much flavor. The meatballs are super tasty with a fennel forward taste. Street parking isn't usually too bad. A little pricey in this economy but it's absolutely worth it. Can't wait to come back!

We recently had a book club dinner at Due Fiori, and it was such a great choice. I had been once before and loved the back patio, so I was excited to come back -- this time without my baby -- and fully enjoy a night out with the girls. We started with olives, sparkling wine, house sourdough, and the prosciutto and burrata. The bread comes in a cute little cast iron -- warm, fluffy, and perfect alongside the prosciutto and cheese. For mains, we shared two focaccia-style pizzas: the margherita and the fiore di zucca (squash blossom). The squash blossom was my favorite -- it had pancetta, stracciatella, and béchamel, and was such a fun, flavorful combination. We also ordered two pastas to share (we had a vegetarian in the group, so we split one meat and one non-meat dish). The pomodoro was light, fresh, and slightly citrusy, while the baked paccheri was rich and indulgent. Both were delicious, but the paccheri was probably my favorite. For dessert, we had the affogato and cannoli -- and that cannoli filling was so good. The wine was great across the board, and our server was incredibly helpful -- letting us taste wines and guiding us through selections, which we really appreciated. Between the food, service, and overall vibe, it was such a fun night. We'll definitely be back.

Wow! Impressed with everything about this restaurant! I loved it! We came on a Saturday, we were a party of 3 and arrived just a little after 5:00pm. We waited in line for about an hour. The way this place works is you line up to order, then they give you a number for your table and seat you and then there are waiters and waitresses to bring you your food. As we waited in line they brought us menus and answered any questions we had and had great suggestions/recommendations, they were also super welcoming and friendly, Between the 3 of us we shared the Caesar salad, the sourdough bread, the pepperoni and the Diavola pizzas, the Pappardelle a limone and the mezzi rigatoni pomodoro pastas. Everything we had was amazingly delicious. All of the dishes were served hot and fresh out of the kitchen which I loved as well. I'm a foodie and honestly there aren't many restaurants I say I'd want to come back to again. This is because I prefer to try new places instead of returning to a place I've already been before. BUT HOWEVER Due Fiori impressed me, I truly loved it and would love to come again sometime. My 1 and only complaint was the hour long wait time BUT the customer service along with the great food totally makes up for it,

I finally made it here! A new staple in my neighborhood. This place is sooo cute, the decor and furniture; every detail is immaculate. We came right before opening their dinner service at 5pm. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by smiling staff (one of them dj'ing real records), you order at the bar then are sat. There's some bar seating and a few tables in the front but most of the seating is in the back patio area. We ordered the Caesar salad, and I'm not being dramatic when I say, this was the best Caesar salad I've EVER HAD! I will be coming back often to just get this. The rest of the food was also yummy, the pepperoni pizza was a crunchy gooey perfect square bite. The ragu gnocchi was a standout. The service was exceptional and intentional. The hype is warranted.

My new favorite Italian Restaurant. I found this place by accident. When you walk in. there is a small bar and a few tables. So it's very deceiving. Then you're guided walk to the back that opens up to a huge restaurant with so many tables and welcoming atmosphere. I was greeted by the friendliest host. He had the best suggestions on what to try and share with my party. Wednesday night is there special spaghetti and meatballs. which I highly recommend. The meatballs are made with Wagu beef and pork. The marinara was incredible. The Caesar salad, aka IL CESARE is a must. It's hard to describe how delicious this salad is. So much Parmesan. and the dressing was perfect. Crisp, delicious Romaine, yum! Nice size too, fed 3 of us. I did upload a photo. We also had the PAPPARDELLE a LIMONE. It's hard to describe how delicious this pasta was. Homemade noodles and the sauce was so Light and flavorful with the lemon, butter and Parmigiano, It was incredible. You also have to try the homemade sourdough bread. Served in a piping hot cast iron skillet, topped with rosemary , accompanied by rich olive oil and a side of grass fed butter.

This was my second time visiting. My first experience didn't go well, but decided to give it another chance. Lines can get extremely long, so I advised to get there early at opening time. Parking can be a little challenging since you'll have to park on the streets. The whole concept is you order first at the register then get seated. Your server will deliver the order to your table. I find it very interesting different compared to other Italian restaurants I've been too. Service was excellent! Staff were so friendly and attentive. They made me feel extra special especially Tony the manager. Highly recommend to sit outside on the patio with charming garden like setting. I ordered the famous Caesar salad that everyone was talking about and the spaghetti and meatballs with a glass of red wine. For dessert, I had the affogato ice cream. Wow! So scrumptious. Not too sweet, but perfect! Great authentic Italian food I enjoyed for dinner. Thanks to the managers and staff for making this experience memorable. I honestly go here so often it's a little embarrassing. The ribeye with the grape must is to die for, their truffle pasta, the pomodoro, the goat cheese and pear salad, and the cauliflower are some of my faves to name a few but honestly you can't go wrong. We came to visit on a Sunday. Made it in a littler before the dinner rush and tried some of the wines. I had a delicious chilled red. It was delicious. The diavola pizza was divine. The sourdough loaf is a must have and they have the best Cesar salad I've had in a long time. An added plus was the tomato dish we had as an appetizer. The tomatoes were some of the best I've ever had in a restaurant. They tasted home grown and were very flavorful. We absolutely loved it here and keep talking about our experience. Friday night. Just got off work nearby. Been wanting to try this place forever because it's always buzzing. Figured it was time. Not your typical sit-down spot -- you order at the counter, tip up front (which I normally side-eye a little)... but honestly, the service ended up being so good I didn't even care. Super friendly staff. One guy asked how many in my party. I said just me. He almost gave me a badge and approved as if i needed his approval. They hooked me up with a front window seat -- elite people-watching. The place is dim, vinyl spinning, good music, great energy. Definitely a vibe. Food? Solid. Seafood pasta was fresh and generous... also spicier than I emotionally prepared for. The Margherita pizza showed up thick and dramatic -- more Sicilian/Detroit style than I expected. Not what I had in mind, but still very good. Crispy edges that mean business. Did I order perfectly? No. Would I go back? Absolutely. Good atmosphere, cool crowd, friendly staff, fair prices. When you walk-in, you can place your order at the counter once you overlook the menu and are ready. They give you a number to place on your table, and they bring the food out as it's ready. There are lots of tables in their patio area, and there are a few inside. The patio area is nice and covered, too. I would recommend everything we ordered, but... the bread. Ohmygoodness. The bread. So good. So delicious. It's super fresh and comes out hot. Don't think about it. Just order it! We also ordered the Carciofi e Fagioli, which has artichokes and beans. So flavorful. For pastas, we got Pappardelle a Limone & Cacio e Pepe. I would recommend both, but if you had to choose one - the Pappardelle a Limone. It tasted fresh and refreshing. Lastly, we got the Rossa Rossa pizza, which was also yummy. I don't think there's a bad item at this place - order it all! read more

I mean, YUM. The food is so good, it will transport you. The wines are great. The ambiance is cool, like a Scorsese movie set. The hipster vibe is what it is. I am not sure that I am on board with they way they have organized the service aspect of the place and cannot understand the benefit of it. I don't think the order at the counter model suits the place; it's kind of weird and cumbersome. read more

Sunday funday better than a Monday! We had no plans, but we just walked up and this place welcomed us with open arms. We ordered chilled red bottle of wine with charred snap peas with ricotta cheese, Ceasar salad and their spicy pizza (I forgot the name). What a pleasant experience, sitting outside and with wonderful servers named Conor, Tony and Nathan all helping us. Dan the owner came up to us and talked to us. First the service was great, very kind cashier and attentive staff. My friend and i got there just after they opened at 5pm because i HATE waiting in lines. We ordered a pizza, a pasta and the bread and a glass of wine. The pizza was smaller than a red barron personal pizza, its MOSTLY dough with pepperoni and cheese topped. The House bread w butter WAS good. The pasta also good. Its just the portions were quite small. Also, why am I tipping for counter service? When we left there was a long line waiting and there was a ton of seats inside. I would be annoyed. Let's cut to the chase, this food was BOMB! I ordered the Fusilli Corti Bucati which was the perfect combination of spice and creaminess. My girlfriend ordered the Ricotta Gnocchi which she says, "was fire!" I tasted a bite of it and would definitely order that next time as well. Service was also very nice. We waited in line for about 20 minutes to order and then picked our table. The food comes out as it is ready and they encourage sharing. We live in San Diego but we'll definitely be coming back if we are ever in the area. read more

I wanted to try this place they open! Originally my carrier states in Long Beach at many Italian institutions that used to serve some great pastas. It was time to explore the newest restaurant located in the now we'll keep 4th street, it's next to Gustos bakery. Let me start with the waiting it was exactly 1hr and 15 min! Expected everyone wants to try this spot. At this point you are hungry and want to have a great experience to make worth the waiting. We get to the front to get the surprise that it's a counter restaurant where you place your order in The counter, something common now days to have the customer spend a little bit more for the "what if I want more and i don't want to get in line again". Ok I order multiple dishes and unfortunately the flavors didn't match the price at all, flavors are very low profile, missing the Woow factor and notes that make you remember a dish for a few days. Service it's great, ambience it's really cool, a place to go over and have some drinks with your friends but definitely not to eat and get full for that price and the weak food flavors, if u would try it again? Idk maybe if my job send me again to see the evolution and to give a second chance to gain my business I want to live it but we'll see what the destiny has for me and this place As a now go an try it yourself and let us know read more

Great Italian spot with such a cute backyard seating area. There are no reservations here and by 7pm on a Saturday, I ended up waiting in line for about 40 minutes for two. We had the option to be seated faster at the bar but opted to wait for a table. Staff were attentive to the line outside by passing out menus, checking on party sizes and updating on time estimates. Before being seated, you order drinks and food at the bar and are given a table number. Food is served as shared plates so each dish came out as it was ready. We opted for the crudo and two pastas. Each dish ended up coming out at separate times which felt perfectly spaced. Patio was super cute with colored lights and greenery. Such a nice spot! read more

Wow--what a gem! This spot is not only delicious and beautifully presented, but the energy and customer service are top-tier. I came here with my friend for a birthday dinner and was immediately impressed. You order first, then head to your table, and the owner himself was outside greeting everyone in line, handing out menus, and answering questions--such a refreshing and hands-on approach. We were even offered wine samples to help us choose, and the cashier gave thoughtful recommendations based on our meal picks (which was tough because everything sounded amazing). The food? Delicious. The Cacio e Pepe and rosemary garlic bread were a perfect combo. The scallops were visually stunning, though slightly under-seasoned. When my friend mentioned it was my birthday, I got a surprise frozen cocktail--such a sweet touch! Both our server and the owner checked in on us regularly and even offered to snap a photo. Came a couple months ago and I cannot believe I forgot to do a review because IT WAS A HIT!!!! The food is so fresh and all very tasty. Every employee had great recommendations and you can tell they enjoy working there as much as we enjoyed dining there. The back patio is so cute and just a really chill vibe. I know some people are probably weird about ordering at the counter but trust me, it's worth it and definitely worth a visit!! read more

We had a big party and they did a good job at getting us wrangled up so the wait wasn't too bad on a week night. They definitely have THEE best spaghetti and meatballs I've had...and I've had a lot, even in Europe (which was my old best til here)! Their service was good overall except for the timing of some dishes but we all enjoyed every dish that came out. The Cesar salad was amazing as well! Handling about 10 hungry ladies on a weeknight is no easy task and for that, they earned 5 stars! Would very much done again. read more

The lemon pasta was absolutely amazing with a rich, fresh flavor that stood out in the best way. The shrimp plate had the perfect amount of spice and was incredibly delicious. The sweet Moscato paired so well with the meal and complemented all the flavors perfectly. The servers were attentive and welcoming throughout the experience, and the cashier up front was very informative and helpful. AMAZING!! I kept forgetting to write this review, but I took my girlfriend to Due Fuori a couple weeks ago and can't wait to go back. It's been on my shortlist for a while, and our experience far exceeded our expectations. The owners (same that opened the awesome bar Baby Gee's) have done it again in creating an experience different than any others I have had. From the vibe when you first walk in, to ordering at the counter (which i know is counterintuitive to fine dining, but trust me, it works), to the seating in a wonderful ambience. Then the food. Holy cow. I've never had scallops like that! These were our favorite. We had a pasta dish and a pizza, and absolutely everything was delicious. You can tell the amount of planning and work that was put into everything at this restaurant, and it was executed beautifully. Definitely would recommend 10/10!! We will be back soon. read more

Where to begin - as ALL aspects of things here are completely dialed in! Food: we tried the sourdough bread, the Caesar salad, the lemon papardelle and the fusilli pasta with nduja (if you know - you know) - all 4 items were perfectly executed. Quick tip - taking the bread and swiping it through the butter/oil and then into the fluffy cheese from the salad - epic move! Wine: they have a LOT of wonderful selections and are happy to let you do a mini tasting to make sure you get one that's perfect for you! Service: Nathan was amazing - offered wonderful options for us as well as taking good care of us - thank you! Atmosphere: the entire place is so welcoming and cozy - perfect for both a romantic date night or an evening out with family/friends. My new favorite spot in Long Beach! My bf and I have been wanting to try this place and it did not disappoint. First and foremost, the staff is all so lovely and friendly. It's such a cozy and welcoming vibe with every detail perfectly done. The food was incredible and our favorite was the scallops crudo...it's a flavor perfectly done with a zesty/vinegar/sweet marinade and it was fabulous! Food is AMAZING. What I don't like is that you have to order when you first walk in and pay. I didn't have time to study the menu or be seated at a table. Therefore, I felt pressured to order something. It's a very noisy venue. I was told I couldn't take my appetizer home because it was raw fish. I sat by front window and people watched. My experience with Due Fiori is a very mixed bag... On the good side: the restaurant vibe/decor is immaculate - the space itself is extremely enjoyable to dine in, with indoor and outdoor spaces, fun lighting, and lots of greenery; you get to sample wines - which is always a plus, and I did deeply enjoy the Veneto white I ordered; and lastly food wise I would 100% order again the mezzi rigatoni pomodoro (this red sauce is to die for, chunky tomatoes, garlic, a hint of sourness that really balances the flavors, topped with yummy parm, and perfectly al dente!!!) and the Caesar salad (perfectly sauced and dressed! Good portion size) The ok: the bread was very good but is not the menu standout to me and was $15 The not great: the only reason I am sharing this is in hopes to help the restaurant and also inform why I would most likely not push to come back (we will 45 minutes away and I specifically wanted to come to LB to get dinner here)... 1. The baked ziti amatriciana is not worth the order (unfortunately the pasta was way over al dente - not my preference -, the guanciale felt like we were only getting not crispy pieces of the fat without the meat, and the spice blew out the other flavors in the sauce, and trust me I LOVE amatriciana!) 2. The service is unfortunately very inefficient: by the time we ordered, we had been in line for an hour, although there were plenty of open tables; I attribute this to the service method of the restaurant - you order at the register and taste wine there and so that ordeal for one party could take upwards of 10 minutes leading to a significant delay in seating, also some parties opted to sit at the bar which was only offered to us once we were at the front, but it seems like this could have been an option we could have asked for at any point in time and was MUCH more efficient, and additionally some parties were allowed to order at their table - the inconsistency and inefficient method of seating left a bad taste in my mouth 3. orderer beware, you pay even before seating, service, and food and are therefore asked to tip at that time, which completely caught me off guard (I feel like this is something I only see at a casual dining place or a coffee shop, not a nice restaurant) which led to me tipping much higher than I may have if I had taken the whole experience into consideration - just feel like this is helpful to consider before you may panic tip like I did, and end up doubling what I would have realistically given Overall if I was in town and was craving an incredible red sauce I would come back, but for the price and the time the experience was not as enjoyable as I had hoped. On a busy Friday night you can expect to wait in line for about an hour, but the food makes up for the wait. We sat at the bar since it was the first available and already knew what we wanted to order. The bartender was very nice and knowledgeable about the wine selection, we ended up ordering a bottle of Ampeleia. Food was amazing, however we had to wait 50 minutes for the fusilli to come out and asked our server/bartender twice to check what was going on. Love this place. I feel like you can always know a place is legit by how good the veggie dishes are. Somehow they've created a Caesar salad that is can't miss. It's outrageous, a bomb of umami. Cauliflower was killer, like 3 different tastes in one dish. The Cacio E Pepe was fantastic, great texture on the pasta. Also had the A Diavola, perfect amount of spiciness, and stop it with that crust. I can't comment on wine, but they have an array of non alcoholic drinks which is always great. You order at the front and then find a seat, which may be a dealbreaker if you're the Queen of England or something but not for me. Planning my next trip now. read more

Everything was so wow! The customer service here is 100/10. They were very welcoming to people coming in even an hour before closing. They use haddock fillet for the Fish & Chips, which was fried to perfection. The Wedge Salad is what actually knocked my socks off! This was one of the best wedge salads that I've ever had. It had your key ingredients: iceberg, buttermilk dressing, red onion, crumbled egg, tomato, bacon gastrique, blue cheese, dill, chives - but something about this salad was different! Hummus and pita (5/5): It came with a generous amount of both hummus and pita. The hummus was well flavored and blended, and it really complemented everything on the table. The pocket pita bread was not what I had in mind (I'm used to thicker ones), but the kids really loved it overall. Ice cream (4.5/5): We ordered two scoops from the dessert menu. They were both really thick, creamy and almost chewy like liquidized mochi. It was a very interesting texture but nonetheless a nice tasty treat on a hot day. I much preferred the vanilla bean, as the pistachio tasted and looked rather artificial (and I'm a pistachio ice cream lover). This place had so many to-go orders during the afternoon we were there. I ordered Pad Thai, not chicken with noodle garnish. The Pad See Ew was also noticeably salty. Now you're probably wondering why I'm giving this place a low rating if most of the food was decent. When it was time to pay, my aunt was figuring out how much everyone needed to Zelle her since the restaurant only allows a maximum of two cards for split payments. While we were trying to do the math, our waiter stood over us watching the payment screen like he was supervising a final exam. He was clearly waiting to make sure a tip was entered. My aunt politely asked him to give us a minute, and thankfully he walked away. Maybe when you see a family actively calculating a bill, that's your cue to...actually give them a minute. Keep in mind we also tipped 20% despite all this. Throughout the meal, he did stop by our table, but it rarely felt like he was checking in to make sure everything was okay. If anything I felt rushed. He also gave off that "customer service smile" that disappears the moment you stop looking. The cherry on top for me happened as we were leaving. We had been sitting on the outdoor patio talking for a bit after paying, which is pretty normal for my family. Before leaving, I went inside to ask where the restroom was. The guy and girl behind the bar looked at each other, laughed, and then asked if I was a paying customer. Keep in mind, I was literally holding a to-go bag with leftovers from the restaurant. I responded, "Yeah, I just finished eating," while holding up the bag that made it painfully obvious. Only then did they tell me where the restroom was. Nothing says "valued customer" quite like being interrogated about whether you actually ate there while carrying your leftovers. It's unfortunate because the food had some highlights, and the restaurant itself has a cute atmosphere. But the service made it feel like customers are viewed more as transactions than guests. Between hovering over us during payment and questioning whether I even belonged there after spending money, I left feeling more unwelcomed than satisfied. I'll happily support a restaurant that appreciates my business instead of making me feel like I have to prove I earned the right to use the restroom after paying for dinner.

And let me tell you, that everything was so good. The Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop came with a whole show, where staff would bring out the dish in a smoke-infused glass dome and open the dome when presented on the table so we can smell and see all the smoke. Not only was it beautiful to look at, but it tasted just as beautifully. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rainbow swiss chard, cheddar grits, candied pecans, and avocado honey helped balance out all the juiciness from the meat. They use haddock fillet for the Fish & Chips, which was fried to perfection. The Wedge Salad is what actually knocked my socks off! This was one of the best wedge salads that I've ever had. It had your key ingredients: iceberg, buttermilk dressing, red onion, crumbled egg, tomato, bacon gastrique, blue cheese, dill, chives - but something about this salad was different! It was so refreshing, flavorful--just everything you want in a dish. When I asked the clear manager in his outfit, requesting who the fake GM was, he along with the Bartender on shift played stupid as to supply her name. Margarita clearly was not a GM but felt that she needed to keep creating an unnecessary situation. The situation was already de escalated when he complied with what she asked. I went on a Thursday night and it was slammed. They do not take reservations but they do have a waitlist via toast that you can join while you walk around and wait for your table. Plenty to do and see on 2nd street. We ordered the party platter for 4 people! It was the perfect amount of food with leftovers to take home. Everything was cooked to PERFECTION. Our beef was a textbook medium rare and was so juicy and tender, as was the rest of the meat. The chicken was so moist and flavorful, as was all the shawarma. All meats were seasoned beautifully. The rice underneath was stunning as well and really caught all the juices from the meat on top. The roasted tomatoes, onions, and pickles were the perfect compliments to help freshen up the palette during the meal. The sauces were amazing and there was a clear favorite (the garlic sauce) which was annihilated by all four of us. Service was friendly! Due Fiori is a charming new Italian spot that we tried on a Sunday evening. Honestly, the food is absolutely worth it--the lemon pasta and the hot pizza were both delicious, and you can tell they put real care into their dishes. That said, being a new restaurant, Due Fiori is still working out some operational quirks, especially around their seating and ordering system. When we arrived, there was a bit of confusion with a line outside and only one staff member juggling seating, explaining the process, and handing out menus. We waited about 20 minutes just to get a menu and understand how things worked. Also when we got up to front we weren't allowed to order but waved by to be seated, then noticed parties behind us ordered and were seated, leaving us to watch the 2 parties behind us get food and drink before us while we waited further for order to be taken and drink to be served. One unique feature is that you order at the counter, and they offer wine tasting right there. While that's a nice touch, it does add to the wait time, especially if people in front of you are sampling wines and asking questions. What also stood out is their payment system: each time you place an order--whether it's food, a drink, or even just an extra soda--you have to pay immediately. This means you might end up pulling out your card multiple times if you decide to add something later. It's a bit inconvenient and can feel a little clunky if you're there for a more relaxed, lingering meal. We also discovered late in the process that there was bar seating where you could order immediately, but this wasn't communicated upfront. It would have been helpful to know we could have just sat at the bar and ordered right away instead of waiting in line. In summary, Due Fiori has fantastic food and a friendly atmosphere, but their ordering and payment system could use some tweaks to make the experience smoother. If you're willing to be patient and go with the flow, you'll be rewarded with a delicious meal. I'm looking forward to seeing how they refine things over time! This place is perfect from start to finish. Right away, you can tell that the staff is well cared for by the way they treat customers. They are incredibly helpful with the menu and even let you sample the wine and slushies before you order. They do an excellent job of not rushing you and seamlessly clearing your table between courses. If you have the chance to be served by Connor, you'll see what I mean; but truly, all the staff is like that. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the decor is vintage, fun, and truly one-of-a-kind. This place is a hidden gem, and every time I walk in, I feel like I'm going to have a great time. They consistently deliver excellent food, and the Italian wines are superb. Now, let's talk about the food . Try everything, but if you can narrow it down, make sure to get the garlic bread with butter and oil--it's absolutely mouthwatering. Don't sleep on the prosciutto and burrata, it's perfect for a group of 3 or 4. Next, order the Caesar salad; it's perfect, but be warned: it will ruin all other Caesar salads for you in the future. Don't forget to try the wine slushies--they strike a perfect balance of sweetness and booziness, and they stay cold the entire time. When it comes to pasta, make sure to order two dishes because you're going to want to try them all. I love the Pomodoro--it's packed with flavor and decadence. The butter, lemon, and Parmigiana pappardelle is perfectly rich, light, and bursting with flavor. If you're in the mood for something hearty, definitely try the baked pasta with béchamel and sausage. Third time coming here but first time for brunch! Right now it's open for brunch 10-3 I believe but check online. Came with my husband and two cousins and it was even better because we got to try even more items on the menu. Started off with some red wine slushies/mimosa slushies, Caesar salad, fingerling potatoes and carciofi e fagioli. Slushes on point as always! Red is my personal favorite. Ceaser salad is the best you will ever have. Fingerling potatoes need I say more? Love. Carciofi e fagioli took me by surprise in a good way. I didn't know what to expect but it was an incredibly interesting take on beans. Tasted like lemony and pickled to me. Next we shared our repeat favorites the lemon pasta and diavola pizza (the hot honey one). Then we had the rossa rossa pizza and the pomodoro pasta which both have excellent sauces. I would say it's more sweet than acidic which is so different than any regular red sauce that Ive had before. So much food but save room for dessert!! Today they had affodago. I'm an ice cream snob and this vanilla was top notch and you pour espresso with crema (if you know you know). It was served in a beautiful glass vintage bowl and the cutest pink espresso cup. Of course we were all so full and agreed this was the best Saturday we had had in a long time. Had a wonderful dinner at Due Fiori on 4th! The fresh pasta was the highlight of the meal. We ordered the Pappardelle al Limone, which was light, bright, and perfectly balanced with fresh lemon flavor. We also had the Bucatini Cacio e Pepe, silky, creamy sauce that let the Pecorino and black pepper shine. The sprouting cauliflower was a delicious side--perfectly cooked and great texture. Connor and Nathan always take great care of us and make the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. The ribeye is a standout--always cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The works of Daniel, Gianna, and Chef Waldo make for an overall amazing dining experience! My favorite dishes are the speck e carciofi white pie, papparedelle a limone pasta, and the il cesare. The house sourdough and carciofi e fagioli are also incredible. You can tell so much thought went into the beer and Italian wine selections, as there's something for everyone.
