Very unique concept and experience! We came towards opening so the line went by fast but it grew quite a bit by the time we left. Really amazing customer service, they'll explain the menu to you in line so you're prepared to order at the front. From there, you sit in the back patio area and dishes come out one by one. The menu itself is a bit on the higher end, but it's a great spot to split and share. Cesar salad and sourdough are a must! The pizza looked intriguing but we opted for three pasta dishes instead. Fusilli was my favorite, followed by the Cacio e Pepe, and then lemon pasta. I liked the unique noodle options and was satisfied with the dishes. It wasn't the best pasta I've ever had, you're definitely paying for ambiance and the experience. They serve tap water, so we ordered soft drinks and many tables had wine. Since they're so busy, they're constantly bussing your table to encourage you to leave. I don't think this is the best place to catch up with friends. Overall a unique spot in LB!

Such friendly service and front of house people here! Nice fun place to have brunch and I usually hate brunch. The food was top notch and creative! The outdoor back area was cute, informal and welcoming yet the food was formally delicious! Hope to be back soon!

Absolutely worth the hype & more! Some of the best service and food I've had in LB. The people here are so nice and attentive to their guests. They let you try various wines to pair the perfect one with your meal. The vibes, colors, aesthetics are dreamy as hell. The food is meant to be shared family style which I loved. I've now tried their brunch & dinner menu which do have overlapping things. Pappardelle a Limone -- is just as good as everyone says. It's not too sour. Balanced perfectly with the creaminess. Def a fave Caesar Salad -- absolutely get it!! Covered in cheese. Crunchy but drenched in sauce and cheese. It's soooo good. Brunch Potatoes -- they're okay. I wouldn't get again. Brunch Sourdough -- absolutely get it! The bread itself is phenomenal but also the jam it comes with is on its own level. CACIO e PEPE -- creamy, just the right amount of pepper Spaghetti & Meatballs -- the sauce is to die for. So much flavor. The meatballs are super tasty with a fennel forward taste. Street parking isn't usually too bad. A little pricey in this economy but it's absolutely worth it. Can't wait to come back!

I've been wanting to try this place & finally had a chance to swing by for lunch today with my husband. Since they don't take reservations, I was worried we might had to wait in line but surprisingly, business was slow for a Saturday & we didn't have to wait at all. We ordered first at the counter & then got seated in their outdoor back patio. Ambiance was relaxing with a nice vibe. The staff here were incredibly nice & attentive. They explain their popular items on the menu & recommend which wine pairs well with it. They let you sample the wine before you place the order. We both had white to go with our meal. The squid ink pasta was so delicious! It was the "best" I've had compared to any other place. The Caesar salad is a must order. It was light & not drenched over with dressing. Hubby had the margherita pizza which was an interesting mix between Sicilian & Detroit style pizza. I took a couple of bites & we both thought it was worth a try but not our style. We prefer the thin crust. The cheese was falling apart on this one. The price isn't cheap here but worth it for the taste & quality. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here & would definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

I finally made it here! A new staple in my neighborhood. This place is sooo cute, the decor and furniture; every detail is immaculate. We came right before opening their dinner service at 5pm. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by smiling staff (one of them dj'ing real records), you order at the bar then are sat. There's some bar seating and a few tables in the front but most of the seating is in the back patio area. We ordered the Caesar salad, and I'm not being dramatic when I say, this was the best Caesar salad I've EVER HAD! I will be coming back often to just get this. The rest of the food was also yummy, the pepperoni pizza was a crunchy gooey perfect square bite. The ragu gnocchi was a standout. The service was exceptional and intentional. The hype is warranted.

Been wanting to visit Due Fiori for a while and man, it did not disappoint! My husband and I are always looking for good Italian food and this place was lovely from beginning to end. Food was delicious, fresh and you can taste the quality. My favs were the house sourdough, prosciutto, charred snap peas and meatballs. Honestly chef's kiss to the whole meal. The staff was very friendly as well. Warm greeting when we arrived and gave great recommendations knowing it was our first time there. Will definitely be back and telling all our friends. We recently had a book club dinner at Due Fiori, and it was such a great choice. I had been once before and loved the back patio, so I was excited to come back -- this time without my baby -- and fully enjoy a night out with the girls. We started with olives, sparkling wine, house sourdough, and the prosciutto and burrata. The bread comes in a cute little cast iron -- warm, fluffy, and perfect alongside the prosciutto and cheese. For mains, we shared two focaccia-style pizzas: the margherita and the fiore di zucca (squash blossom). The squash blossom was my favorite -- it had pancetta, stracciatella, and béchamel, and was such a fun, flavorful combination. We also ordered two pastas to share (we had a vegetarian in the group, so we split one meat and one non-meat dish). The pomodoro was light, fresh, and slightly citrusy, while the baked paccheri was rich and indulgent. Both were delicious, but the paccheri was probably my favorite. For dessert, we had the affogato and cannoli -- and that cannoli filling was so good. The wine was great across the board, and our server was incredibly helpful -- letting us taste wines and guiding us through selections, which we really appreciated. Between the food, service, and overall vibe, it was such a fun night. We'll definitely be back.

Wow! Impressed with everything about this restaurant! I loved it! We came on a Saturday, we were a party of 3 and arrived just a little after 5:00pm. We waited in line for about an hour. The way this place works is you line up to order, then they give you a number for your table and seat you and then there are waiters and waitresses to bring you your food. As we waited in line they brought us menus and answered any questions we had and had great suggestions/recommendations, they were also super welcoming and friendly, Between the 3 of us we shared the Caesar salad, the sourdough bread, the pepperoni and the Diavola pizzas, the Pappardelle a limone and the mezzi rigatoni pomodoro pastas. Everything we had was amazingly delicious. All of the dishes were served hot and fresh out of the kitchen which I loved as well. I'm a foodie and honestly there aren't many restaurants I say I'd want to come back to again. This is because I prefer to try new places instead of returning to a place I've already been before. BUT HOWEVER Due Fiori impressed me, I truly loved it and would love to come again sometime. My 1 and only complaint was the hour long wait time BUT the customer service along with the great food totally makes up for it,

My new favorite Italian Restaurant. I found this place by accident. When you walk in. there is a small bar and a few tables. So it's very deceiving. Then you're guided walk to the back that opens up to a huge restaurant with so many tables and welcoming atmosphere. I was greeted by the friendliest host. He had the best suggestions on what to try and share with my party. Wednesday night is there special spaghetti and meatballs. which I highly recommend. The meatballs are made with Wagu beef and pork. The marinara was incredible. The Caesar salad, aka IL CESARE is a must. It's hard to describe how delicious this salad is. So much Parmesan. and the dressing was perfect. Crisp, delicious Romaine, yum! Nice size too, fed 3 of us. I did upload a photo. We also had the PAPPARDELLE a LIMONE. It's hard to describe how delicious this pasta was. Homemade noodles and the sauce was so Light and flavorful with the lemon, butter and Parmigiano, It was incredible. You also have to try the homemade sourdough bread. Served in a piping hot cast iron skillet, topped with rosemary , accompanied by rich olive oil and a side of grass fed butter.

Super busy & loud, be prepared to wait for a bit The sourdough was really yummy. I poured the remaining olive oil dip onto the Caesar salad. The Caesar salad is really good but i would've liked it to be a tad bit saucier. It starts dry & gets more wet when you crunch into the lettuce. The quality of the lettuce was very good. I thought the cacio e pepe was quite bland. It was more like butter noodles with a dash of pepper.

This is a really hot, vibey Italian restaurant in Long Beach. I was not surprised to see the long line of people waiting to get in around 6:00 p.m., so I hopped out of the car to join the line while hubby drove around looking for parking. As a really great touch, staff came through the line outside to hand out menus and talk with us about the dishes and answer any questions. The indoor space is small, but inviting. I love the dark, warm colors, and the art started an interesting conversation in our group . Be sure to check out the cool hippo bench and the greeter frog on the bar--both are right up my alley. There is a bar that serves craft beer and wine. The way that it works is that you order at the bar, and then you are seated. When we were finally at the front of the line, they asked if we would mind giving out order at the table after we were seated to help move things along. After we were taken to our table, the server brought his pad out and took our order at our table. Again, he was so helpful answering questions and offering suggestions. He explained that the dishes come out as they are ready, and that most people eat family style, sharing what has arrived at the table as it comes. After we put in our order, we closed out at the same time. That is brilliant! There was no waiting after our meal to close out. We were not very hungry (if I'm being honest, I wasn't at all hungry, but I just really wanted to try his place), so we skipped the antipasti. We ordered: *Baked Ziti Amatriciana *Pappardelle a Limone *Bucatini Caccio e Pepe If it were at all appropriate on yelp, if described all the food as so "f-word"-ing good. But, it's not appropriate, so I'll just say it was amazing! The ziti was just the right amount of spicy, the bucatini was rich and creamy, and the pappardelle was, for lack of a better description, bright and fresh. Pure deliciousness! Again, kudos to staff--service was fantastic. And kudos to the chef! Note that there is no parking, so you have to find on street parking. We managed to find a place in the street a short walk away.

This place is a vibe!! Conner set the stage with greeting us outside to give us a great run down of anything and everything. We were then seated on the back patio with Tess as our server. We also had a very tall person who was also awesome checking in on us. Great service is not too common nowadays but this place was WOW!!! Everyone was so knowledgeable and awesome. Food was delicious! I didn't get too many pics because we dug right in. Cesar salad is a must. The pizza also did not disappoint esp if you love Detroit style. Food was flavorful and fresh Tess knew her wines. She allowed others in my party to have a few tastes to get the right one. Will definitely be back here when I'm in Long Beach. The patio outside is comfy but also gives that SoCal dining feel we all love. Great for a date night or a chill night with friends or colleagues Street parking. Bit tough on a Sunday night for us but found something.

An easyyyy 5/5 stars! We were greeted by one of the owners, and it was one of those places where you order and pay, then they seat you once they've got a spot for you. Went with a few friends and we were able to pick out a few pastas, a pizza, and an appetizer. Perfect amount of food! The Caesar salad, squid ink pasta and pasta with pink sauce (forgot the name) were all a MUST have. Can't wait to come back! read more

Food was just as amazing as I imagined it to be after hearing rave reviews about it from everyone in the neighborhood! Don't sleep on the specials board -- the scallops and the mushroom pizza were our favorite bites of the meal. The veg options were also so good! Can never go wrong with a Ceasar salad but it was the sprouted cauliflower that delightfully surprised us the most! Pizza and Pasta were excellent! Nice addition to a growing foodie neighborhood. Come in early at 5pm to grab a seat immediately or else the wait can be a bit long - but worth it! read more

Don't let the line scare you away! The ambiance of this spot is just what I'm into: moody lighting and fun colors/art all around. The owner himself found my friend in line before I got there and explained that we wait in line to order food, then wait to get seated and the food comes directly to our table. He sat us out in the back patio; the food was good and it was a fun night! Also--even though you order at the front you can always order more at your table. My friends and I ended the night with wine slushies and they were perfect. read more

From all the reviews, i think it's safe to say that this location has finally found a permanent occupant with Due Fiori. The two flower spot always has a line and i finally decided to be one of those waiting against the green. I went on a Sunday right when they reopen for dinner & waited just a small bit before being welcomed. Like the cashier advised, my friend and I got 4 shareable dishes and were happy with everything we got! Why did i give it only 4 stars and not 5? Although I do love how attentive people were it was also its downfall, i felt like someone kept coming to ask if we needed anything every 5 minutes and no one actually looked at me and only my friend. Could my friend be so breathtakingly beautiful that no one would notice the dead weight across from her? maybe! but this dead weight wanted to have some much needed gossip session but felt like someone was always hovering. anyways, i loved the sprouting cauliflower! read more

Another new local Italian restaurant that opened up in my neighborhood. Heard great things about this place so decided to give it a try. Very busy during a week night! This is an order at the counter type of place and pay immediately (red mark) as I prefer sit down, which it is and they give you a number and bring to your table. Service was excellent; however, be prepared to wait for your food as it's made to order. Limited menu (red mark) and smaller portions leave you somewhat disappointed; however, the flavor of everything was delicious! I ordered the pizza which is deep dish Sicily/Detroit style and my BFF ordered pasta. Overall, will be back again; however, this is more of an establishment for special occasions in my book and when you feel like splurging (both calorie wise and pocket book wise). More seating out in back but very limited indoor dining space. read more

Just amazing all around. Friendly staff with a great atmosphere. The times I've came to eat here, I did have to wait in line but it's no big deal. Food, ambience, service, hospitality, cleanliness was all top notch. This was our second visit to Due Fiori. Our first visit was for Sunday brunch. We started with a lovely wine tasting at the counter and ordered our food. We ordered the Cesar salad and giant beans with artichoke which we craved for weeks after. And shared the daviola pizza which was crisp, dense, spicy & sweet. This time we went for dinner. And are already dreaming about going back. To try different menu items, we got the charred snap peas over whipped ricotta which was wonderfully dressed at accompanied with fresh herbs. The sourdough was fresh, delicious and perfect for sopping up the amazing sauces on our two pastas. The fusilli corti bucati is a pop of zing and richness that I have never tasted in a pasta and my husband especially loved. But my absolute favorite of the two was what our lovely waitress recommended. The black truffle paccheri. Again Due Fiori will have us longing to be back and dreaming of what to order next. read more

the best Caesar salad ever!! Fabulous pasta dishes, only a few but all are wonderful. The service we had was great. Our only issue was waiting on line (outside in the heat) while people in the door were tasting wine as in this restaurant you do that first, before you are seated. We were quite frustrated by this, as we were not going to be ordering wine that particular night but had to wait outside while others just tasted away. Once we got seated the service was above and beyond (maybe because we had complained). Food incredible. read more

I just recently tried this place with my best friends for my birthday. It was absolutely delicious, definitely a hot girl meal. We had the Caesar salad, lemon pasta, and pepperoni pizza. We also all tried some wine, I loved the red sparkling wine. The vibe was exactly what I was wanted for my birthday celebration. Very cute but nothing fancy. Great place to catch up with my friends. And the most delicious pasta of my life! A little out of the ordinary as you order and then are seated but I didn't mind this and actually kind of appreciated. read more

Even though my mother is Italian, I don't really like Italian American food. HOWEVER, I looooove this place. I can't stop thinking about the lemon pasta. Phenomenal. Sitting out back is like you're visiting Nonna's. :) Plan to wait in line. You'll order at the counter, pay, and then be seated (not my favorite process for this price point). But the staff is super friendly so I can let it go. Definitely try the desserts. Also super yummy. It's a great spot for just the two of you or a larger crowd. read more

OH MY GOSH GO HERE!!!!! we got the caesar of course, the sourdough, the hot honey pizza, the rosa rosa pizza, and the pomodoro!!! everything and i mean everything was amazing. both pizzas were so hot and fresh with the crispiest crust!! everything was fresh and hot. made to order the caesar was seriously the best i've ever had im not joking. and i love caesar salads. the pomodoro was clearly house made the pasta was so fresh and the sauce was too. everything worked together. the sourdough bread OH KY GOSHHHHH THE GARLIC ON TOP TO DIE FORRRRRR PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND COME HERE I CANT WAIT TO TRY MORE side note the owner and workers are absolute gems and so so sweet and talkative. the ambiance itself is amazing and such a vibe. love how small the pizzas are because then you can try more!! read more

Came in on a Wednesday and it was still packed, waited about 45 minutes for a table but you order at the counter before getting a table. The service was great and fast. All the workers were so nice with a great attitude. Their wine suggestions and hospitality were excellent. I would just say I would prefer plates being switched out. After we ate the bread and salad we were expected to eat our pasta and steak off the same plate and those plates were pretty tiny. But I had to just stop someone and ask for new plates and they were very nice and fast about grabbing them. The ambiance is very cute, not fancy but unique and relaxed. The food was definitely the highlight of the evening. Caesar salad is insane, perfectly dressed. Every bite had the perfect amount of dressing and cheese. I dream of that salad. Bread was warm and chewy felt like it was baked to order. As well as the pizza. It was very hot and crispy maybe a little too crispy for my liking but quality was good. Pastas were very tasty we got the baked ziti and the Special which was Spaghetti and Wagyu Meatballs. I seriously loved the pasta amazing quality and the sauces were so robust and flavorful. The star of the show would be that BROWN BUTTER STEAK. Ohhh my god it was so rich and decadent also very tender and cooked perfectly. Alone the steak might've been too rich but paired with that arugula salad with a lemon dressing balances it perfectly. I seriously crave that steak and salad combo. Also got the cannolis but to be honest did not like them. The filling was bland didn't taste like much but had a cherry sauce at the bottom of the plate that kind of gave it flavor . Overall an absolute great experience. Will definitely be back and can't wait to bring friends ! read more

Ambiance 10/10 - such a cute patio as well as indoor area / bar, lovely place for a dinner date or dinner with friends! The restaurant has so much charm. Service 10/10 - incredibly friendly owners & waitstaff. Easy to order at the counter & food is brought to your table. Food 7/10 - the cauliflower appetizer was delicious. Other than that, I thought the food was pretty average. The scallop crisp was just OK, nothing special and some strange cuts on the scallops themselves? The rigatoni pomodoro was also just ok, I'd rather my moms.. I would still go back to try out more of the menu since this place has such a great ambiance and has had such great reviews - I'd be interested to try out one of the pizzas or some of the other apps - but overall was not blown away by the actual meal sadly. I've passed this restaurant on 4th St multiple times and I'm so glad I finally tried it. I was thoroughly impressed. The scallop crudo was good (a bit tiring after the first few bites) but the presentation was even better. The caesar salad was so flavorful, it was definitely my favorite dish, and I'm not usually the one to prefer a salad the most. The ricotta gnocchi was yummy too. The patio seating had a nice intimate vibe, perfect for date night. Service was good too. The only downside is how expensive the menu is for how small the portions are but overall everything was a 5/5. read more

I did enjoy the sweetness of the brown sugar though nice unique touch. Caesar salad was delicious and well coated but a little too much fresh pepper. I truly don't understand any of the negative reviews. Prior to coming here I was aware that it was a no reservation, walk up and order type of spot. People complaining obviously didn't do their homework before trying a new place! Your fault not the restaurants. Any who! To the important part of my review... THE FOOD, THE SERVICE, THE VIBE 10/10! The Long Beach food scene is known for being super competitive among Thai restaurants, at least it's known that way among foodies in the area. Well Italian food is trying to be on that level and Due Fiori is prime contention to be the top Italian spot in Long Beach. We went on a busy Friday night, which resulted in a long wait, lined up outside but definitely worth it. You order when you walk in at a counter and you get a number and are seated after that. It's kind of fun while you're putting in your order because you can ask for suggested wine pairings and even sample some wine. We were seated outside in the back patio area and I have to commend the Due Fiori folks for what a great job they did decorating inside and outside. The employees here are super nice and seem to enjoy their jobs. The ordering up front and food runner system seems to run smoothly. Food wise, I was impressed. We started off with suggested wine pairings and the best caesar salad I've ever had, no joke! I was craving pasta and decided on LINGUINE FRUTTI di MARE: shrimp, clams, mussels, butter, garlie, calabriun chile, basil. Seafood was fresh and pasta was delicious. My partner ordered the RICOTTA GNOCCHI: three-day duck ragu, fried kale, parmigiano reggiano. I tasted it and was very impressed and I'm not even a gnocchi fan. This place is not cheap but I definitely didn't mind spending as the food, service and ambiance were well worth it. This actually took over my favorite restaurant in Long Beach called Shady Groves. Ummmm you absolutely have to come here. If you're a lover of Italian food and wine, you're gonna die for Due Fiori. They do not have gluten free pasta or pizza (my siblings and the rest of these Yelp reviews will attest to their belovedness)-- but I still had the most incredible meal that I wouldn't change. The menu is small and thoughtful and everything's so fresh and beautiful. First of all, you order at the bar upfront. Love it. And feel free to ask to taste some wine before selecting your pour/bottle. There's a small seating area inside, a few seats at the bar, and then a spacious, covered back patio that's all green and shady. This food is meant to share, you gotta have a little of everything! We had 1.) Marinated olives with citrus, oregano, and thyme. Olive lovers, rejoice! 2.) Prosciutto e speck; a duo of delicious dry-cured hams with the most beautiful burrata and plenty of fresh basil. Ridiculously good. 3.) Charred snap peas with dill, mint, and lemon zest atop a bed of whipped ricotta... yep, I know. 4.) Carciofi e fagioli; the most buttery gigante beans and artichoke hearts tossed with shallots and a cabernet vinegar. It's served cold and it's incredible. 5.) Il Cesare; little gem lettuce, housemade dressing, and tons of shredded parmesan. We had the brown-butter breadcrumbs on the side! 6.) Margarita Pizza; shared by my siblings and gazed upon by me. The best restaurant I've eaten at in a minute. Everyone who works here is amazing, They gave the best menu recommendations, I sat at the bar and chatted with Tony and another bartender (so sorry!) and they made my night after a really long exhausting day. I got the Cesar salad duh a must, the fucilli pasta and the canolli for desert - MUST GET THE CANOLLI. The food is incredible but the people are just as amazing. 10/10 reccomend giving all your money to this restaurant and its staff. Thank you all so much!! read more

I honestly go here so often it's a little embarrassing. The ribeye with the grape must is to die for, their truffle pasta, the pomodoro, the goat cheese and pear salad, and the cauliflower are some of my faves to name a few but honestly you can't go wrong. Friday night. Just got off work nearby. Been wanting to try this place forever because it's always buzzing. Figured it was time. Not your typical sit-down spot -- you order at the counter, tip up front (which I normally side-eye a little)... but honestly, the service ended up being so good I didn't even care. Super friendly staff. One guy asked how many in my party. I said just me. He almost gave me a badge and approved as if i needed his approval. They hooked me up with a front window seat -- elite people-watching. The place is dim, vinyl spinning, good music, great energy. Definitely a vibe. Food? Solid. Seafood pasta was fresh and generous... also spicier than I emotionally prepared for. The Margherita pizza showed up thick and dramatic -- more Sicilian/Detroit style than I expected. This was my second time visiting. My first experience didn't go well, but decided to give it another chance. Lines can get extremely long, so I advised to get there early at opening time. Parking can be a little challenging since you'll have to park on the streets. The whole concept is you order first at the register then get seated. Your server will deliver the order to your table. I find it very interesting different compared to other Italian restaurants I've been too. Service was excellent! Staff were so friendly and attentive. They made me feel extra special especially Tony the manager. Highly recommend to sit outside on the patio with charming garden like setting. I ordered the famous Caesar salad that everyone was talking about and the spaghetti and meatballs with a glass of red wine. For dessert, I had the affogato ice cream. Wow! So scrumptious. First time here. Everyone's so nice. We ordered and paid first then our food came later. Scallop Crudo was tasty and refreshing. Ordered two pasta dishes which were ricotta gnocchi duck and bucatini cacio e pepe. I liked gnocchi duck a bit more because of flavor, aroma, and texture. Overall, it was a good experience here. Let's cut to the chase, this food was BOMB! I ordered the Fusilli Corti Bucati which was the perfect combination of spice and creaminess. My girlfriend ordered the Ricotta Gnocchi which she says, "was fire!" I tasted a bite of it and would definitely order that next time as well. Service was also very nice. We waited in line for about 20 minutes to order and then picked our table. The food comes out as it is ready and they encourage sharing. We came to visit on a Sunday. Made it in a littler before the dinner rush and tried some of the wines. I had a delicious chilled red. It was delicious. The diavola pizza was divine. The sourdough loaf is a must have and they have the best Cesar salad I've had in a long time. An added plus was the tomato dish we had as an appetizer. The tomatoes were some of the best I've ever had in a restaurant. They tasted home grown and were very flavorful. We absolutely loved it here and keep talking about our experience. When you walk-in, you can place your order at the counter once you overlook the menu and are ready. They give you a number to place on your table, and they bring the food out as it's ready. There are lots of tables in their patio area, and there are a few inside. The patio area is nice and covered, too. I would recommend everything we ordered, but... the bread. Ohmygoodness. The bread. So good. So delicious. It's super fresh and comes out hot. Don't think about it. Just order it! We also ordered the Carciofi e Fagioli, which has artichokes and beans. So flavorful. For pastas, we got Pappardelle a Limone & Cacio e Pepe. I would recommend both, but if you had to choose one - the Pappardelle a Limone. It tasted fresh and refreshing. Sunday funday better than a Monday! We had no plans, but we just walked up and this place welcomed us with open arms. We ordered chilled red bottle of wine with charred snap peas with ricotta cheese, Ceasar salad and their spicy pizza (I forgot the name). What a pleasant experience, sitting outside and with wonderful servers named Conor, Tony and Nathan all helping us. Dan the owner came up to us and talked to us. First the service was great, very kind cashier and attentive staff. My friend and i got there just after they opened at 5pm because i HATE waiting in lines. We ordered a pizza, a pasta and the bread and a glass of wine. The pizza was smaller than a red barron personal pizza, its MOSTLY dough with pepperoni and cheese topped. The House bread w butter WAS good. The pasta also good. Its just the portions were quite small. Also, why am I tipping for counter service? I wanted to try this place they open! Originally my carrier states in Long Beach at many Italian institutions that used to serve some great pastas. It was time to explore the newest restaurant located in the now we'll keep 4th street, it's next to Gustos bakery. Let me start with the waiting it was exactly 1hr and 15 min! Expected everyone wants to try this spot. At this point you are hungry and want to have a great experience to make worth the waiting. We get to the front to get the surprise that it's a counter restaurant where you place your order in The counter, something common now days to have the customer spend a little bit more for the "what if I want more and i don't want to get in line again". Ok I order multiple dishes and unfortunately the flavors didn't match the price at all, flavors are very low profile, missing the Woow factor and notes that make you remember a dish for a few days. The lemon pasta was absolutely amazing with a rich, fresh flavor that stood out in the best way. The shrimp plate had the perfect amount of spice and was incredibly delicious. Great Italian spot with such a cute backyard seating area. There are no reservations here and by 7pm on a Saturday, I ended up waiting in line for about 40 minutes for two. We had the option to be seated faster at the bar but opted to wait for a table. Staff were attentive to the line outside by passing out menus, checking on party sizes and updating on time estimates. Before being seated, you order drinks and food at the bar and are given a table number. Food is served as shared plates so each dish came out as it was ready. We opted for the crudo and two pastas. It's a small, charming spot with a relaxed atmosphere. Just a heads up- there's no indoor seating, so everything is outdoors with a small patio setup. That said, when the weather is nice, it's actually ideal. It feels very laid back and intimate, like one of those hidden neighborhood gems you stumble upon. The employee working when we went was super friendly and welcoming, which always makes a place feel even better. The wine I tried was really good, you can definitely tell it's natural wine (in a good way!). They also have small bites available if you want to snack while you drink, though we didn't end up ordering food. Parking is street parking in the area, which wasn't too difficult to find when we went. Overall it was just a really pleasant experience. If you're looking for a casual place to enjoy a glass of natural wine outside on a nice day, this is definitely a spot worth checking out.

While we were trying to do the math, our waiter stood over us watching the payment screen like he was supervising a final exam. He was clearly waiting to make sure a tip was entered. My aunt politely asked him to give us a minute, and thankfully he walked away. Maybe when you see a family actively calculating a bill, that's your cue to...actually give them a minute. Keep in mind we also tipped 20% despite all this. Throughout the meal, he did stop by our table, but it rarely felt like he was checking in to make sure everything was okay. If anything I felt rushed. He also gave off that "customer service smile" that disappears the moment you stop looking. The cherry on top for me happened as we were leaving. We had been sitting on the outdoor patio talking for a bit after paying, which is pretty normal for my family. Before leaving, I went inside to ask where the restroom was. The guy and girl behind the bar looked at each other, laughed, and then asked if I was a paying customer. Keep in mind, I was literally holding a to-go bag with leftovers from the restaurant. I responded, "Yeah, I just finished eating," while holding up the bag that made it painfully obvious. Only then did they tell me where the restroom was. Nothing says "valued customer" quite like being interrogated about whether you actually ate there while carrying your leftovers. It's unfortunate because the food had some highlights, and the restaurant itself has a cute atmosphere. But the service made it feel like customers are viewed more as transactions than guests. Between hovering over us during payment and questioning whether I even belonged there after spending money, I left feeling more unwelcomed than satisfied. I'll happily support a restaurant that appreciates my business instead of making me feel like I have to prove I earned the right to use the restroom after paying for dinner.

Due Fiori is a charming new Italian spot that we tried on a Sunday evening. Honestly, the food is absolutely worth it--the lemon pasta and the hot pizza were both delicious, and you can tell they put real care into their dishes. That said, being a new restaurant, Due Fiori is still working out some operational quirks, especially around their seating and ordering system. When we arrived, there was a bit of confusion with a line outside and only one staff member juggling seating, explaining the process, and handing out menus. We waited about 20 minutes just to get a menu and understand how things worked. Also when we got up to front we weren't allowed to order but waved by to be seated, then noticed parties behind us ordered and were seated, leaving us to watch the 2 parties behind us get food and drink before us while we waited further for order to be taken and drink to be served. One unique feature is that you order at the counter, and they offer wine tasting right there. While that's a nice touch, it does add to the wait time, especially if people in front of you are sampling wines and asking questions. What also stood out is their payment system: each time you place an order--whether it's food, a drink, or even just an extra soda--you have to pay immediately. This means you might end up pulling out your card multiple times if you decide to add something later. It's a bit inconvenient and can feel a little clunky if you're there for a more relaxed, lingering meal. We also discovered late in the process that there was bar seating where you could order immediately, but this wasn't communicated upfront. It would have been helpful to know we could have just sat at the bar and ordered right away instead of waiting in line. In summary, Due Fiori has fantastic food and a friendly atmosphere, but their ordering and payment system could use some tweaks to make the experience smoother. If you're willing to be patient and go with the flow, you'll be rewarded with a delicious meal. I'm looking forward to seeing how they refine things over time! Don't sleep on the prosciutto and burrata, it's perfect for a group of 3 or 4. Next, order the Caesar salad; it's perfect, but be warned: it will ruin all other Caesar salads for you in the future. Don't forget to try the wine slushies--they strike a perfect balance of sweetness and booziness, and they stay cold the entire time. When it comes to pasta, make sure to order two dishes because you're going to want to try them all. I love the Pomodoro--it's packed with flavor and decadence. Third time coming here but first time for brunch! Right now it's open for brunch 10-3 I believe but check online. Came with my husband and two cousins and it was even better because we got to try even more items on the menu. Started off with some red wine slushies/mimosa slushies, Caesar salad, fingerling potatoes and carciofi e fagioli. Slushes on point as always! Red is my personal favorite. Ceaser salad is the best you will ever have. Fingerling potatoes need I say more? Love. Carciofi e fagioli took me by surprise in a good way. I didn't know what to expect but it was an incredibly interesting take on beans. Tasted like lemony and pickled to me. Next we shared our repeat favorites the lemon pasta and diavola pizza (the hot honey one). Then we had the rossa rossa pizza and the pomodoro pasta which both have excellent sauces. I would say it's more sweet than acidic which is so different than any regular red sauce that Ive had before. So much food but save room for dessert!! Today they had affodago. I'm an ice cream snob and this vanilla was top notch and you pour espresso with crema (if you know you know). It was served in a beautiful glass vintage bowl and the cutest pink espresso cup. Of course we were all so full and agreed this was the best Saturday we had had in a long time. We ordered the Pappardelle al Limone, which was light, bright, and perfectly balanced with fresh lemon flavor. The works of Daniel, Gianna, and Chef Waldo make for an overall amazing dining experience! My favorite dishes are the speck e carciofi white pie, papparedelle a limone pasta, and the il cesare.
