I came in at around 530pm one night with both of my wheels needing straightening. Even though it was so close to closing time Dan offered to have my bike ready by closing time at 6pm. He has helped me find parts and explained the ones I need and don't need- really good prices, has a good stock of parts and bikes of all sizes and shapes!! The locals know Dan (or Duke) as they call him - is always willing to help fix their bikes! I came here based on the Yelp reviews and I needed a good, reliable bike, at a price I could afford. He worked with me and got me a nice ass bike that is so smooth. He even included the lights for free and installed the lock and put air in my tires. I went back to purchase a pump and he waited for me even though I was running late. Dude keeps it real and doesn't make you feel dumb for not know Sh-- about bikes. I recommend this spot to everyone. read more

Best bicycle shop i've been to. Dan rocks it. Went to pick up my son's new bike and saw some kids riding outside and one take a hard fall. Dan ran inside and came out with frozen hotdogs to ice the kid's bleeding knee. EFF YEAH! FROZEN HOTDOGS!! You can tell Dan is a great guy, knowledgeable, cheapest price around, and he hooked it up with some night lights! We read reviews beforehand and it's funny we just called ahead of time and Dan was there for us. Hard to ignore the huge banner outside his place that says "WE ARE HERE ALL THE TIME JUST CALL 657-88-3853" so just need to call... unless some ppl are illiterate. read more

I'd stopped by a few other bike shops trying to find used bike tire tread on the cheap / free for a random project I'm working on. Got a couple funny looks, only one bothered to even check. Then I saw Duke's as I was heading home and figured I'd give it one more go. Thought nothing of it, gladly checked in the back even though he was pretty sure he'd tossed what he had a day or two prior, and even though he didn't have anything on hand at the time, he offered to gimme a holler when he gets something. The shop reminds me of my dad's gun shop in a lot of ways: it's clearly a craftsman's shop where work and tinkering happen and there's a lot of love for the job. I will /happily/ refer anyone and everyone I know who needs bike work over to Duke's because I have no doubt he'll take solid care of anyone who walks in the door. read more

Dan has just moved into this small bike shop on Kraemer, but don't let the size of the shop fool you. He has plenty of bikes and they are reasonably priced. Bought a new beach cruiser for our daughter and Dan graciously installed a basket and couple of lights, too. Dan spent about 30-45 minutes with us, he was friendly and very helpful in assisting us select the right size, color and model bike. He never pushed toward any model, he simply explained the differences and let us decide. I plan to keep doing business at Duke's. Thank you! read more

I discovered Duke's last year and it's become my preferred local bike shop (LBS). Dan, the owner, shares information and is clear and candid. I like working on my bikes and he's always willing to answer questions. I bought a new Raleigh Kodiak there. Dan knew where online pricing was and matched it, with tune up service. Dan's support continued after the sale with some factory warranty work. It's a small and crowded shop with a good bike selection and Dan almost always seems to have the parts I need or can get them on short order. It seems too many bike shops I've visited have an elitist attitude or are just rude, so finding Duke's has been a pleasure that I've shared with all my fellow bike riders. read more

Dan the owner provides excellent customer service. He answers every time I call and if he doesn't answer he calls me back within the hour. He is extremely knowledgeable in whatever brand of bike you might want. I bought a couple of Raleigh e-bikes from him and they work great. The only problem I had was the derailer had to be adjusted and he was out and about and he offered to come to my house to adjust it. He goes above and beyond. I am very happy with my purchase and Dan's great customer service. I highly recommend him and I would definitely urge you to try this bike shop over any other one.
