Most delicious pastries! The first time I stopped here, I was hungry so I ordered some bread pudding, not expecting anything particularly wonderful. Astonishing! Dulce has it all--very tasty breakfast items all made from scratch like muffins, pastries, scones, croissants and excellent coffee drinks, plus great savories like their specialty, deep dish quiche. My fav quiches are the spinach feta, the bacon potato, and the roasted cauliflower. All of them are crazy good--creamy and stuffed with filling! My absolute favs are the savory scones with green chile and cheese, spicy and moist! YUM! They also offer gluten free muffins everyday. The baristas are friendly, service is great and it's a cheerful little spot to socialize with your friend or work on your computer while enjoying some great food and coffee. It is kind of noisy, so probably not the best place for a business meeting. I highly recommend it! read more

I came here because I needed to use wifi. Upon entering, the all male staff wasn't that welcoming but it was 7:30am so I'll cut them some slack. The overall vibe of the place is not very comfortable, kind of sterile and boring. I prefer a much more cozy and welcoming coffee house. But all the pastries and bakery items looked delicious! read more

This place gets five stars in the "local corner cafe" category. Nothing pretentious here, just a good place to read the paper while having a coffee. Espresso drinks are strong and flavorful, two large shots in a 12oz latte. Baked goods are produced on sight as are the sandwiches and quiches, not the prepackaged stuff at *$'s. One downside is the place tends to fill up with locals but even on a cold winter day, if the sun is out, the tables outside are protected with a southern exposure and are usually available. read more

Whatever happened to the (previously) generous sized pastries at Dulce? Now they are about 1/3 smaller and are the same price! The cheese danish and cinnamon "snails" used to worth what you paid for them. No longer! It would have been better to raise the prices and keep the size the same, than to short change their customers by making the portions way smaller. Very disappointing. I love Dulce bakery, & go there whenever I come down to Santa Fe from Colorado to visit my parents who live there. The red velvet cupcakes are my favorite, something about them sets them apart from any other red velvet cake or cupcake anywhere! The cake is moist & not too sweet, & the cream cheese frosting is plentiful & perfectly tangy-sweet. The staff is always friendly & helpful, even when they are slammed. I buy every red velvet cupcake in the display case (which is often only a few, they are so popular) to take home with me & freeze (if there are any left) & enjoy. I didn't know they had closed and re-opened. I'm glad they are there! read more

i tried Dulce today for the first time. i arrived at 3:00 in the afternoon. the place was busy and there were no seats available (to many 2 tops). the pastry case selection was depleted as well. i received my coffee(americano iced) and danish (cheese) at 3:15. my total was 6 bucks. i returned to my car as to get a seat and to sample my 6 dollar coffee break.the coffee was not bad but it was lacking that punch that i get at down town subscription and the danish was disappointing. the puff pastry was thin and chewy and there wasn't enough cheese in it to make it all worthwhile.. I'm not sure if i will go back to Dulce again. maybe if the started making sandwiches, then I'll go back. review by Kevin hart read more

I don't know the name of the fellow who made it, but on November 29th, 2013, I had the best white chocolate mocha in my life here. Perfect in every way. The pastries are also extremely good - every one of them. Wifi, too, so you can hang out awhile if you so desire, but I always take something to go. Next time I have a dinner party I want to order their Red Velvet cake, which is the best in town. read more

Great place! Attractive space (comfy chairs, beautiful large oil paintings of cakes and pastries!). Delicious coffee drinks and a good assortment of teas. And delicious pastries. So far I've had a chocolate cupcake, carrot cupcake, and most of the cookies (oatmeal, choc-chip, espresso chip), and a couple varieties of quiche, and a blueberry scone - all very good to excellent. I wish they sold more savory things - soups, sandwiches - then they'll be a 5-star place. But I know they've got their hands full just keeping up with a wide variety of baked goods and coffees. I live in Dulce's neighborhood and when it opened I was an early customer. I immediately became a regular. The coffee, both regular and decaf, is always fresh and hot and delicious, the pastries are superb, the quiche is one of Santa Fe's great undiscovered treasures, and the staff is relentlessly pleasant (and I mean that in the nicest possible way). Not too much in the way of decor, and it can get a little loud what with the hard floors and walls, but the parking is easy, the location is fairly central, and the prices are good. The absolute BEST Birthday cake I have ever had. The layered coconut cake with coconut cream cheese icing. 12 people shared this cake - it was so rich and delicious. We ALL agreed that we would only order our cakes from Dulce. AND, I just found out they serve this cake on a regular basis in the cafe. A wonderful, local hangout. Always fresh, never frozen like another bakery/cafe in town...and only, pure from scratch ingredients. read more

The atmosphere is friendly and cozy, but it's also a great place to get work done or meet with a friend. I love this place! Great coffee, really delicious pastries, clean, airy, bright and inviting environment, convenient location. I will confess to wanting to try every pastry, danish and cupcake on the menu and, as I'm gradually working through this goal, have always been delighted. In the process, my husband has found his ultimate pecan roll, and I my favorite tarts. For me, the coffee is the perfect roast, so when I'm just in for coffee, I savor the lattes and cappuccinos.
