Hard to find, no signage to the parking lot of the strip mall. little ambiance inside- blank walls could use some mural or art. Very delicious pastries tho and that's why you're going there. Pricey but quality isn't cheap, neither is food in the area.

Stumbled upon this bakery storefront recently. We tried their gluten-free loaf, which was VERY TASTY but too crumbly for sandwiches. Next time, we tried Walnut Bread & it was perfect! (We're not gluten-free.) Today we tried a loaf with chunky nuts & raisins. SO GOOD! But I'd love more raisins in it... they were pretty sparse & I wanted more of the little sweet "blasts" of flavor. Read the fine print when you order a cookie! DELICIOUS!! BUT the one we got had a LOT of red chile! Step thru the doorway to sample the neighboring coffee shop's DELICIOUS grinds! I LOVE the mocha with my bread & pastries! One-stop TASTY MORNING! And you can enjoy it all in the cute, shady courtyard!

Everything here is delicious! Make sure you get the croissant with the chile and cheese. The oatmeal raisin cookie with the chile was great too. my friend really enjoyed the chai. We went back to get another chili croissant, but they were sold out. Highly recommend getting there early before they sell out.

Rye Molasses with fennel & original sourdough

Hands down, these are the best freshly baked and satisfying loaves of bread we've found in Santa Fe so far. We always buy at least two different half loaves. One being the rye fennel molasses and one the original sourdough. Sometimes we can't help it and go for a 3rd option of their bread bc every single bread tastes differently and is delicious. One can always taste the quality ingredients they use.

As soon as you walk in, the amazing smell of the baked goods hits you. The service was friendly and great. There is a good selection of products, which all look so good. It's was so much more enjoyable purchasing bread from a shop like this rather than some chain grocery store. The best part, the baked goodies are so good.

Stopped in for coffee at Ohori's my favorite place in Santa Fe and Chomp food market was open next door. We enjoyed a morning bun from Wild Leaven and got some Challah to-go. The morning bun was citrus and cardamon.

But I was wrong! I emailed to ask and Marcel told me not to worry. The galette Bretonne is made from buckwheat and several of the lunch entrees are also gluten-free. Huzzah! We split the galette Bretonne - a buckwheat crepe filled with ham and cheese and topped with a sunny side up egg. Savory and delicious! Next, we split the cassoulet - a duck confit leg quarter, Toulouse sausage, pork belly, and carrots nestled into a bed of white beans and herbs with a side of sourdough and French butter. Oh my word, it was fabulous! And I didn't have to share the sourdough, mwaaaahahahaha!

The place is popular, especially given very high quality of pastry products and the line is often a bit long (given so many locals/tourists stop by this place)...and simply..the place is one of the best pastry shops in Santa Fe. Parking is a little limited in their own parking lot and the shop is sort of crowded, but you can always park on a street outside (albeit some small parking fees). Overall, I really enjoyed the pastries here...although I think the drink (I got matcha latte...true, true, matcha latte isn't much of a western drink..so maybe I'm wrong to judge a restaurant by this drink) wasn't so much of my highlights. I would, definitely recommend this place for pastries for sure though!

I stopped in last week and ordered a black forest cake slice to go. I was thinking that a little sugar with coffee in the morning was good. I also knew that Gayle wouldn't snack on it as she doesn't like fruit and chocolate mixed together in a dessert. The "to-go" line was a little slow, mostly due to a combination of chatter and specialty coffee drink preparation. But I wasn't much in a hurry. And once that was out of the way, the transaction proceeded smoothly, including a nice box to carry it home.

Walking the streets of Old Town Santa Fe, you wouldn't think this is possible. But sit down in front of the large fire place, order the quiche or sandwich of your choice. We loved the flaking of the quiche pastry and savoriness of the fillings. We also had Croque Madam and baguette sandwich with the onion soup. We enjoyed the personal touch of our server who made us feel like regulars coming to visit a long-time friend at work. We couldn't leave until we had a box full of pastries to try later and it was all we could do to not consume them all in one sitting. Thanks for the comforting afternoon.

The café has a cool, modern vibe with plenty of indoor seating as well as a nice outdoor patio. They were very busy on a Saturday morning. The counter staff was very matter-of-fact. Not rude, but not especially warm or welcoming either. Honestly, I got the impression she was just under a lot of stress. We also asked another staff member if we could use one of the patio umbrellas (they were all closed for some reason), and he was prompt and friendly, which we appreciated. We ordered a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese, a meat-filled empanada, a honey latte, and a cold brew. The cold brew was a little too dark for my taste, though coffee preferences are definitely subjective. Interestingly, there's a place in Albuquerque that has an almost identical flavor profile. The toasted everything bagel was very good, but it didn't come with quite enough cream cheese. The single cream cheese packet also felt a bit lackluster presentation-wise. That said, when we asked for more, the response was friendly and accommodating. The honey latte had beautiful latte art and great flavor, definitely a highlight. The empanada, filled with ground beef, green chile, and piñon, was a bit over-toasted, but the filling itself was flavorful, even if somewhat sparse. Overall, I think 35 North has a lot going for it and could easily elevate the experience with a few small improvements to consistency and customer service.
