Argentine/Uruguayan/Cono Sur bakeries are few and far between in the US, let alone Jersey City. For those who are unaware, bakeries from this region of the world have very strong Italian and European Spanish influence. One thing that is truly Argentine/Uruguayan however is the use of Dulce de Leche in pastries. If you try one thing here, make sure it is the small alfajor cookies with Dulce de Leche filling. Soft, crumbly butter cookies with DDL sandwiched in between. Also try the medialuna, Argentina's sweetened version of the croissant. read more

I used to love this place. Some of their items are delicious only when they are fresh. The staff is a whole other story....they have NEVER gotten my order right and most times I get home only to find they have given me something I don't like. Their workers hardly understand English and it's so frustrating. I can honestly say today was the last time I will ever visit this bakery. I'm so upset right now I feel like walking back and throwing these boxes of items I did not order at the girl who helped me. I didnt want to do this because I really like the place , the bakery part of it and the juices are great however a few months ago there was a bug on my salad and it was dead already. I called them and let them know what had happened, and they stated they were going to refund me and send me something to accommodate with that horrible event , I am still waiting for them to get back to me they do not respond my messages. Bought a tres leche cake here today and one of the layers slid before I can even put it on the table to take pictures. I never had this happen, I paid $45 for this cake that's not even decorated, they could have at least made sure the layers stay together. I'm Very disappointed. read more

This is an amazing place. Their cakes are so darn good and they are amazing people too. They care about their customers and do their best to satisfy them. I got the Dulce de Leche chantily. It was for my fiancé's birthday so I couldn't risk it and asked for taste. Unfortunately, they don't do sample tasting of their cakes so I bought a pastry and I loved it the minute I took a taste. You either pay $2.35 or $4.00 for a medium iced latte depending on the barista. I don't like this but I have noticed who doesn't overcharge and try to stay with them upon ordering but I'm not always lucky. This is a much needed bakery in the Heights and in Jersey City especially. I heard nothing but good things about their other location but never went there. I decided to try this location as soon as they opened and immediately became a fan!! The pastries are absolutely delicious!!!!! I go a few times a week to buy some. Every cake I've fried has been so good. Very moist! My favorite the dulce de leche cake. For breakfast I've had the eggs with home fries and it's good. Empanadas are very good. The reason I only give it 4 stars is due to the service. There are a couple of servers who are extremely friendly and don't make you seem like a bother. However, I have dealt with several servers who make it seem like it's a bother to them to help me. One even saying, "You want an orange juice too???" after I asked her for one without her asking if I wanted anything else. What I notice is that they want to take your entire order without writing it down and then seem bothered when you ask for too many items. The coffee is also hit or miss!!! I ask for my coffee the same way every day and it's never extremely hot nor the way I asked for it to be prepared. As much as I love this place for the pastries, I will be taking a break for some time. Their customer service needs major improvement!!!! read more
