We were recently in the area of the Park in Shop in Concord, and were looking for some Dumplings and soup. My Yelp friend Elite had suggested this place that had recently opened a few months back. We had slid in for a mid week Dumpling craving and there was room to accommodate my Wifey and I. We kept it simple and ordered BBQ Pork Buns (steamed), Chilii oil Dumplings minus the spicy sauce, and Fried Rice with shrimp. The server was friendly and attentive. She had also suggested a few more times, but were full by the time all the food came out. We did however order some more of the Chili Dumplings for takeout. Came here midweek for a solo dinner around 7pm. Plenty of parking in the adjacent parking lot and there were open tables. It looks so different than Togo's Sandwiches that was here before. they did a good job of remodeling the place and making it were receptive to dining in. I could've ordered with a QR code, but the waitress came by so I ordered with her. I ordered the XLB and the beef roll. I figured whatever I didn't eat, I can bring it home and it would be meal for another day. The XLB was good, the soy/vinegar/ginger dipping sauce was also good. Before was great - I would definitely order that again. It was perfectly crispy, with onions, cilantro, and seasoned beef inside. For me, the star of the night was the homemade chili crisp hot oil. It was delicious! It had huge cardamom seed pods, bay leaves (?), and whatever ingredients that made it magical. Service was great. My water glass was refilled several times. I'm surprised I've never heard of this place before! Food - My husband and I ordered a plate of fried rice, shared some steamed buns, and tried the pan fried dumplings. I didn't know they were soup dumplings - it was amazing! Their food is so flavorful and delicious. Service - It was pretty empty when I came here with my husband, it was late at night so I understand but there were still a lot of people doing take out. Ambiance - the restaurant itself is pretty big and spacious. I highly eating in if you have the chance and smelling the food being cooked. It's amazing. The soup dumplings are a MUST as well as the beef roll. We were stuffed by the end and had so much left over as they serve big portions. Our first time here. The food and the service was great. I like that the busboy cleans the tables with sanitizer after a customer leaves. As implied by the name of the restaurant, the focus of the menu is on various kinds of dumplings, as well as noodles and different Sichuan style appetizers and sides. The dumplings come steamed, boiled or pan fried, and would encourage trying all the different ones to see which combination of flavors and textures best suit your palate. We prefer the classic steamed pork soup dumplings, which had a good dough texture, rich soup flavor, and moist pork filling. The dry fried beef chow fun was also flavorful, although somewhat salty, while the tan tan noodles had a good chew and brought some kick. In contrast, the fried rice was not spicy and made in a Cantonese style. The chilled cucumber salad is crunchy with a vinegar tang and served as an excellent contrast to the other dishes, including the scallion pancakes and pan fried pork buns, which were a bit overfried and tough. Service was very friendly and it was easy to order by scanning a QR code for the menu, although the online site was a bit wonky. I'll preface my review with: My rating is based on the price and taste of the items we ordered. There might be better tasting items out there on their menu. We came in and immediately directed to sit on their booth. The restaurant was about half full. They were very quick and polite to give us our cups of water. Shrimp and pork xlb -3/5 The skin is nice and thin. Flavor is great, but it can use more soup. The dumpling skin gets stuck very easily to each other and the parchment underneath. So I hen we picked up each dumpling and struggle we punctured a couple of the dumpling. But not much soup leaked out. Because there were not too much soup in there in the first place. Shrimp, leek and egg dumpling 2/5 Maybe we just aren't used to this mix of filling. But this wasn't a hit for us. The filling was kind of bland and the dumpling was rather small. Shumai 3/5 This was almost $2 a piece. And it tasted ok. Spicy and crispy chicken 2.5/5 Again unfortunately this is not what we expected. We can see a lot of peppers in the dish but it wasn't spicy at all. The breading tasted oily for me too. I guess I was hoping more of the basil chicken type of breading but this is more like sweet and sour chicken type of breading. Stir fried rice with chicken - 3/5 This was standard chicken fried rice but for some reason our dish had rice that was rather chewy. Like they've been sitting in the refrigerator but didn't get stir fried long enough to get heated through. Bbq pork bun 3/5 Taste is pretty standard. The bun is not as soft as other places I've been. They were pretty quick to refill our water cup and take away the empty plates. Overall we weren't too impressed unfortunately. For the price there are other places I would rather return to. Maybe we picked the wrong dishes since I see all the glowing reviews. Either way, glad we had a chance to try. But wouldn't return. read more

This place seems to be family owned- it is tucked away in a little corner restaurant but the fairy lights on the outside help to decipher it. She also missed my order when I said 5 thai teas and only input 1 thai tea. So it took a bit to fix. Hopefully they staff more people on the weekend. The original beef noodle soup was good overall, but left a funny after taste that we did not enjoy. The green beans were addicting! The sesame balls came out piping hot which was yummy! One downside is that when their staff is on their break, you can smell their cigarette smoke from outside. It's also very cold inside, maybe it's because it's such a big space? They have other traditional Chinese dishes, if you're not coming here for soup dumplings. They also have a great variety of desserts. I went on a Monday evening so the service was fast but I was also surprised on how many people were eating out on a rainy day! We ordered the string beans, pork xlb, wontons in chili oil, tantan noodles, and pan fried pork dumplings. The string beans were very good and well seasoned. String beans are always my favorite thing to order. The wontons in chili oil was more like a broth than oil. The tantan noodles were more spicy than the wontons.
