I work in the same plaza as this Dunkin. I went in 20 mins before my shift was to start to get 2 donuts for a friend and I to eat before we start. I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes without even one word from the 4 staff members I saw, after making eye contact with each of them. When the lady finally came up, she was rushing me out and didn't give me a receipt, no "thank you for waiting" no "sorry about that", just "what do you want?", as if I was annoying her. She basically tossed my donuts at me and said "NEXT!" after I handed her the money. (Which was totally unnecessary, as there was one person behind me) Side note: there was one car in the drive thru line and one older gentleman behind me. It was 9:30 in the morning on a Wednesday. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!! If you want to waste your money and get served the wrong food with it not even warmed up, this is the place for you!!! Literally asked for a ham, egg and cheese bagel... and I got a bagel with a COLD piece of egg (yes, cold!) with a cold slice of cheese, no ham and it had 3 hairs on it!!!! Let me just say this...this is by far the best DD that I've gone to and the service is always great to us. I'm seeing some negative reviews, and I'm guessing submitted by those "certain" residents of Scottsdale that are used to having their a**es kissed on a regular basis. Done with this Dunkin. I've drove past at night before 9pm and lights were out. One night at 8:30pm on a Sunday, I decided to go around drive through because I saw someone in the building. The kid is outback taking trash out and I asked "what time do you guys close?" He responds: "on Sunday, usually 8:30pm" (even though the sign said 9pm) I said: "Usually"?! What is "usually"?!!? He then offered me some coffee and I said I wanted a couple donuts and he gave them to me for free. Lawls. What. To tip it off: I go through drive through one afternoon. If there was a zero star this place qualifies. They are always out of everything and short on staff. It is the worst managed restaurant possibly anywhere. Most places would know weekend rush times and would be prepared but that is never the case at this location. We now drive an extra 15 min to the DD off 92nd because it is far superior in every way. I'm not one to usually speak up, but I've had it with this location. If not for the convenience factor, I'd never visit this place. To reiterate Lisa C.'s point, they mess up...a lot. Nearly every order I've made there, they have seemed to screw up. Forgetting cheese, wrong order, cold food, long waits. I kid you not, I waited 15 minutes in the drive through the other morning for a cup of coffee. I understand that you're busy, but 15 minutes? Seriously? The staff is untrained, unprofessional and clueless when it comes to making anything "fast". This morning, I ordered 2 frosted doughnuts and a turkey egg-white flatbread. The doughnuts were thrown in a paper bag (leaving frosting all over the inside of the bag) with no liner and the turkey flatbread took an additional 5 minutes after we had paid to receive (and it had a cold piece of cheese on top and not melted as it should be). The gentleman at the drive thru did express that he was "sorry" that it was taking a long time, however the flatbread was in clear view for a portion of those 5 minutes, clearly visible from our car. We finally spoke up and he explained that he was very busy and promptly handed us the flatbread, when in fact there was no customer in sight and 2 cars behind us that had arrived 5 minutes after we had ordered. I've been to this location several times over the past year, and I don't think I can handle going back. I sincerely hope the proprietor of this location reads this and realizes that this whole staff is untrained and uninformed about anything to do with customer service, speed and accuracy. I've received better accuracy and customer service at a Taco Bell. Please retrain your staff and get with the program. Maybe I'll try in another few months, but for now, I'll make the 20 minute drive to get my DD fix. read more

The girl at the drive through has a hilarious voice, this place changes its employees more than I change my socks (which is twice a day by the way). I love their iced coffee but the hot coffee taste strange. dont know why that is. The drive through line is generally quick so you barely ever have to wait (not like starbucks). THe evening employees are not as great as the morning employees...they seem to mess up your order more often in the evening. Morning is spot on. I live close so I Frequent this place often. I foolishly expected a place with doughnuts in the name to actually have more selection than circle K. I was wrong. I walked in about 30min after they opened and saw that all the shelves were empty. It took a couple minutes to be helped, I was the only person inside. I was finally greeted. I said I would like to get a Dozen. She said ok. I just looked are her expecting to to maybe bring them out. I m thinking I am going to get some fresh donuts to bring to the family. After a small confused stare off I asked what they have. She then said they only have glazed. I said thank you and left. I drove down the street to Krispy Kreme a filled an order in about 45 seconds. I went back afterwords just to take a picture and see if they had anything else. As you can see after being open for over an hour the selection is minimal.I will be driving to extra 10 minutes from now on to get donuts. Each and every doughnut literally had a dime sized amount strategically placed at its opening (so you think there's nothing wrong). Rarely ever do I come here but when I decided to I regretted it, the workers are very friendly but the problem is the hygiene, one of the employees put gloves on and grabbed donuts for a customer then took their change and then whilst wearing the same gloves he used to take dirty change he went over and grabbed my dounut! Not only has the coffee been disgusting for months now, the bagel order was wrong, and even though my wife asked for extra cream cheese, there was hardly any cream cheese on it (we have a picture), the staff is discourteous and rude and in no way professional and pieces of the light fixture were broken and hanging down. For example, when I ordered 2 glazed chocolate donuts, the staff member rolled her eyes. The owner of this establishment and the Dunkins' franchise needs to seriously take a look at this place. Time after time we get the wrong order and can not go through the drive through because we don't want to find out our order is wrong again after we drive away. I don't understand the complaints! I live in the neighborhood and stop here often because I love the iced tea (okay, okay, my son and I like the donuts, too). They are always personable and give us what we want. The one time they accidentally gave me sweetened tea instead of unsweetened, they apologized, promptly fixed the problem, and threw in some munchkins for the inconvenience. The young man with longer hair who works there is particularly nice. He once thanked me for being a pleasant person when I came through the drive-thru. Man, this place has issues. First off, almost everything here is a hit-or-miss situation. One day, your coffee will suck, the other day, it will be okay. The only thing consistent seem to be the donuts.....only when they have the ones you want. Their drive-thru menu looks like a collage of junk slapped together 30 years ago and fading out in the sun. It's so disorganized, you'll spend easily a few minutes trying to figure it out and trying to accurately convey your order to them. The best thing to do, is look online, see what they have, write it down, and then order when you get there. The way they do their coffee drinks is so rigid, that the employees don't seem to know anything about the difference between latte, mocha, espresso, etc. It feels like if you try to order something anything other than exactly how it is on the menu on their computer buttons, you will just totally confuse them. Meanwhile, the other early morning zombies are trying to GET IN/GET OUT so they can get to work too, and you're holding up the line. Saw one gal lose her pants in an oversized pick-up, and barely squeeze here way out of line as she bolted past everyone. And we're just getting started. So after trying to order a mocha latte with shot of espresso, stupid me should not think they are like Starbucks. But rather than clarify well what they have available, it was a mess. Mr. Almost-Non-Sequitur: "We don't have mocha. We have latte." Me: "OK, I'll get one of those." Mr. Almost-Non-Sequitur: "So you don't want the mocha?" Me: "Wait, so you're saying you have it?" Mr. Almost-Non-Sequitur: "We don't have mocha iced." Me: "ARE YOU KIDDING ME? LET'S DO THIS: I'LL TAKE A LARGE REGULAR COFFEE. JEEZ." Got the coffee, tasted old and gross. Got one of those breakfast sandwiches, wow, they skimped on ingredients, way overpriced, a total rip-off, and poorly made. It looked/tasted like something reheated from yesterday and then smashed with a sledgehammer. Glad I didn't get sick (not exaggerating either). Immediately went to Burger King, got 10x better sandwich, far cheaper price, and: Me: "You gotta mocha latte? I see its on the menu. Can I get iced?" Helpful BK lady: "We sure do. Certainly." Me: "THANK YOU! SOLD! I'll take a large one, largest you got." BK Lady at Window: "You're really ready for a big one? To start the morning?" Me: "No, just pissed off at Dunkin Donuts, they're all confused, just trying to order and then they're coffee tasted like it was old and nasty. Forget them." BK Lady: (laughing) Not surprised! We're always getting people from there coming over to us when they mess up. Happens all the time." Sadly, that BK closed and DD is still taking up precious space. DD is consistent with their inconsistent service. Last time there, the lady at the drive-thru was VERY nice, but the one taking the order seemed indifferent,confused, and perturbed. I'd estimate about 75% of the time you ask them a question in the drive-thru, you'll get a totally unhelpful answer back. The only thing they are good for, is getting a regular coffee (50% chance they'll screw something up) and one of the random donuts *you don't want*, but is all they have available. Translated: just anything with caffeine and to stuff your face with. But I'm not sure they could even sell only water and Soylent Green without messing it up. I frequent this location pretty much weekly but I think that is about to end. The service is poor at best. If there are more than two cars in the drive through they make you pull around for you to hope they remember to bring you your order. On top of that, standard items like plain bagels, chocolate glazed donuts, and croissants are frequently out of stock (even pretty early in the morning). "Welcome to Dunkin' Donuts. We are all out of donuts today. How can I help you?" The food is as good as would be expected from this chain but the service and product availability from this location is pretty terrible. Shamefully filthy. Last time I ordered food there, I ordered oatmeal. It's instant oatmeal. To top it off, the "mix-in" packet for the oatmeal was expired. How old does oatmeal have to be to expire? I ordered a chai as well -- they served me hot water and a powdered chai packet. A business associate asked me to meet there the last time I checked-in. I went to this Dunkin Donuts location about a month ago. The drive thru was completely empty and I pulled up and asked for a dozen. When I was listing off how many I wanted of each donut, the drive thru girl was telling me they were out of every flavor I asked for as I listed them (including all the basics such as chocolate glazed, chocolate sprinkle, basic glazed). She was getting ruder with every new flavor I asked for. I then asked her why they were out of every flavor (mid week at 10 AM), and she said that Dunkin Donuts doesn't sit around making donuts for people like me. I pulled through the drive through. This place ran well when it first opened. Recently the manager doesn't give receipts, and in some cases rude. Orders are wrong at times and I've had bad milk in my hot coffee over and over. This used to be the best place with friendly staff, now it's a hit or miss with poor management. Manager must not hold a Degree in business and should read local laws on proof of purchase before he's reported. A business needs to provide proof of purchase regardless if you pay or your item is free. There is a hand full of employees that work here that are Genuinely nice and work hard. Imagine that on very rare occasions, you treat yourself to a plain glazed donut...not a donut from the grocery store, a real donut - a donut that you get up early on a Saturday to enjoy since they are extra fresh in the morning. Now imagine that you get home with this treat, only to pull it out of the bag and realize that they have given you blueberry donuts instead. Now I'm not a donut specialist like the employees at DD are, I'm an average gal with no donut training but I knew immediately upon seeing this donut that it was blueberry. How did I do this you ask? The donut was blue and blue = blueberry, blue does not = plain. Sadly, todays disappointment sums up this DD location. I'd like a latte please, here's your regular coffee miss. 1 biscuit please, here's your bagel lady. I'm tolerant when it comes to the occasional mistake but this location always manages to screw up at least one thing with every order. I don't know who the dark haired young man was at the register this morning..(had some serious tats!) BUT...as I watched him help the woman in front of me he chimed out..."I have plenty more in the back"..good biz acknowledging a waiting customer...and then when I asked for a single chocolate he joked about me only wanting one..and then he gave it to me..! I will say, I am a retired serial entrepreneur..many customer service businesses including restaurants...and for the simple act of cheer and a donut he made a goodwill effort noted by several customers. This is the kind of business development that pays off...I am here to say..I know good donuts and it doesn't matter to me how good they are if the service and personality is bad!
