This is absolutely a coffee place for people who don't like coffee. I've always wanted to try DB. The Drive Through line was insanely long so I went inside. There were customers standing around waiting for orders. I waited in line for ten minutes and in that time, no orders were delivered to customers waiting. When I got up to the window, staring at the Baskin-Robbins style signs made me lose my enthusiasm. I asked for a double espresso and the cashier said she'd ask if they had those. She was very courteous but I thanked her and said I was late so I could get the heck out of there. I've only had Dutch Bros a couple of times but I will definitely vouch for this company as having high quality and consistent drinks every time! From coffee to tea to all their specialty drinks, every one I've had has been delicious! The customer service at this location is also above and beyond what I expected. The drinks were taking a little bit longer than usual so the individual who was helping us at the window took time to ask us about our day and make the experience personable and welcoming. There's no Dutch Bros in Los Angeles, so we always stop by one when traveling outside of L.A. I personally like it better than Starbucks. They have a bigger variety and since I'm not a coffee drinker, I love their variety on teas. I recommend to try it. Doesn't hurt :) read more

I have been to much busier Dutch Bros and none have been as bad as this one. We waited 20 minutes and never received our drinks. My husband asked for a refund and they gave it to us, but they were not very apologetic about it. It must happen a lot here. There were plenty of people in the back just walking around. I enjoy their coffee enough to wait in line at times. But the way to get you tip will make me think twice from going back to this one. The Dutch MoB barista will auto pick $1 tip and say is this tip amount good? It's kind of rude in a way and then you stay there and they try to chat you up after. Idk if this is all the time cause this just happened last time I went. Usually the people here are a bit nicer with the tipping culture. Our first stop when traveling to Fresno from Los Angeles, the location on California Avenue, has good customer service and even better drinks. I usually go into the lobby so that I don't end up in the usually massive drive through line. The parking lot and lobby, along with the bathrooms are clean (Which is nice when making a stop with the family on a long trip). I haven't yet been to the other locations in Bakersfield, but this is a quick and easy detour off the 99 whether you're going north or south. Oh and to echo an earlier review, there's no Dutch Bros in Los Angeles, so coming here is a treat for us. read more

THIS LOCATION DOES NOT HAVE LAVENDER I have no idea why, but every other location seems to have lavender, including the one on the east side of Bakersfield (which is nearly a 30 minute drive from where I live). I was really excited when they finally opened up a centrally located location, as the east side of town is just too far for most people to drive. Yet every time I try to order lavender they say they don't have it as this location. Why? I don't get it. Is there something special about the other location? I almost threw up when they told me the price for my large blended 911 was almost $10.00. The Coffee was fire, but these prices are just plain out ridiculous. You can sign up for their reward/app program. For that drink, @ just about $10 it gave me 46 points. With the rewards system, @ 325 points you can get a drink of your choice. You would need to spend approximately $65.00 to earn a free drink. The ordering service is odd. Drive-through sometimes has someone to take your order outside. If not you wait til you get to the window to order, making the lines look long. It is mind-boggling how they have their employees take orders outside when it's freezing outside or in the middle of summer at high temperatures with no shade. The wait is very long, but that's to be expected with a new business during a pandemic, as well as a shortage of employees and supplies. The baristas are friendly and doing the best they can.
