Slowest Dutch bros I've never been to. Waited over 30 minutes and staff had no sense of urgency

i went to dutch bros a week ago, and the guy outside zane took my order. i got a large blended golden eagle, and i noticed the price was higher than usual. when i drove up to the window, i had asked for a receipt. it showed i tipped a dollar. i did not tip a dollar. he did not show me the tipping option, just the pay option, and told me what car I was behind. a 10 second interaction doesn't deserve a tip, i don't care. the girl at the window and the other girl making drinks were nice though, and that's the only reason I'm giving three stars. read more

I went to Dutch Bros and got the sour straw drink and it was so good. It honestly might be my new favorite. The service was amazing and I spoke with the barista like they were a long time friend. They made me feel so welcomed and the whole vibe was super positive. Definitely coming back again, this place never disappoint. read more

On top of the fact that they went 15 min past my pick up time for my mobile order (the order was accepted by the barista when I walked UP to the window, so they haven't even started my order yet), their parking situation is horrible. There were cars lined up for the drive thru that bled out to the street and blocked the only lane that entered into the lot. I needed to enter the lot to park and pick up my mobile order. The parking lot only has 2-3 regular parking spots (they were occupied ofc), and 1 handicap parking. I ended up parking in the handicap spot because I thought I was going to be quick since I placed a mobile order but it took longer than expected as mentioned earlier. There are additional parking spots to the side of the building, but 1, to get there, you'll have to enter thru the exit lane, which is tricky bc it's the same exit lane that the drive thru customers use to exit. 2, the lanes are slanted the opposite direction, and the only way to get to those spots is if you enter the drive thru lane and drive all the way around the building (but you're blocked by the cars in the drive thru so wtf)...hard to explain over text but iykyk. I love Dutch Bros because of the drinks and the fun and outgoing employees, but they gotta do better with choosing bigger lots of land to have better traffic flow for both drive thru customers and mobile order pick ups. read more

I have tried to give this location multiple chances because they are new. Unfortunately this is the third time they have made my drink wrong. By wrong I mean not adding the proper ingredients or missing some, and having to drive back because it tastes off. We were so excited to see the new Dutch Bros is now open. From the looks of the line outside, so was every person in Martinez. The drive through line is not made for large trucks. Ill raise my hand to admit I ran over at least 3 cones in the lanes. Sorry, my bad. We sat in the long line to order. I ordered a decaf americano with almond milk and my daughter ordered a large frost thing. They were out of decaf. My daughters drink was fun. She loved it. They comped me a drink through their app in my account because they were out of decaf. Giving me another reason to come back and try again. Id like to just walk up instead of the drive through. Of all the Dutch Bros coffee this one has a not so great drive through. The customer service is definitely number one top of the pyramid of best customer service. First and foremost, I'm not new to Dutch Bros - been a customer for a long time. Been to many locations and am able to compare best versus worst. Also, I did retail for MANY years in my youth. With this being said, I will not new to the game. This morning I sat through waiting for my drinks while one broista talking to another one at the bar about her not liking another employee - or something along those lines. I waited for a while before the broista even began my drink. Very unprofessional to discuss office gossip/complaints in front of customers, regardless if the customer has to wait or not. Anyway, I addressed the issue with both of them. They both denied it at first, saying they never said anything to each other. Then I referenced some of the things that were said in the conversation. The "shift lead" then changed her story and said that the broista had to tell her. I told the shift lead that she should have told the other broista "I hear you. Let's discuss this later when we have a moment". Both of them got offended and defensive with me, and the "shift lead" basically told me there isn't any "later time" and they're always working and that's the only time they can discuss things. She refused to see my perspective and kept telling me to have a nice day! The shift lead didn't even finish my drink. A customer doesn't want to hear office drama, let alone be given unfinished expensive drinks! Funny, this was the same broista that told me yesterday that they don't make chocolate soft top and then got annoyed with me when I proved her wrong. This isn't the first time that the customer service was poor on the early morning shift. I will not be going back to this location again. read more

When I go to this DB, the service is pretty good. Place our order in and get our drinks in 10-15 minutes. This time we got in the drive thru line around 10:20. Not a long line, usually the line where it's almost out to the street. Placed our order around 10:25-10:30. We got to the window and got our drinks at 10:55!! It shouldn't take 30 minutes to get our drinks ready and out. By the time we got our drinks you could tell it was watered down from the melted ice for our drinks just sitting on the counter. When I asked why it takes 30 minutes, they said they were busy, which did not seem like the case from what I observed while in line. I think this store, based on average score they have now at the time of this review, needs to work on how the store is operated. There needs to be a better flow process to get people in and out as quickly as possible. read more

SO EXCITED TO HAVE A SPOT CLOSER TO ME!!!!!! I no longer have to drive 40 minutes one way to get my Dutch Bros fix. Not to mention I find any reason to do an errand in the area just to stop by! I have stopped by here a few times which even included their grand opening and each experience was great! Every employee was upbeat even on opening day when the line was never ending! They are better than TJ's employees and take them time to truly ask you about your day. I am not a coffee drinker so I really like the alternative options Dutch Bros provides. I usually grab a marmalade rebel which is an energy drink but there are so many tea options too! You can mix any flavors you dream up with either black or green tea. The Dutch Bros Coffee chain continues to grow with their newest location in the greater Bay Area's Contra Costa County, in Martinez, California. Located along the busy corridor of Alhambra Avenue in the heart of eastern Martinez, this is the latest franchise location of Dutch Bros Coffee, which is actually larger than your typical Dutch Bros Coffee, as they have taken over for a former Wendy's location, and as a result this location is one of the few locally based storefronts that not only has two lanes for drive-thru ordering, but also walk-up ordering, which in hindsight is a real advantage when it comes to timing as the lines can be quite long for their drive-thru ordering. Dutch Bros Coffee was founded over thirty years ago by brothers Dane and Travis Boersma, who were of Dutch descent, hence the name, in their hometown of Grants Pass, Oregon, who began their drive-thru coffee empire when their family's third-generation dairy farm had been struggling due to changes in environmental regulations, and the brothers were looking to start a new business. Now three decades later with over five hundred franchised stores in twelve states and a publicly traded company Dutch Bros Coffee has reached new heights that so many of their competitors that specialize in drive thru coffee drinks have failed to reach. And with this newest location, they are inching that much closer to the big cities of the Bay Area: San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland. What brought me here on a chilly weekend afternoon, was the fact that I downloaded Dutch Bros Coffee app after I realized they give complimentary drinks for your birthday. The best thing about using the Dutch Bros Coffee is that they let you use your complimentary drink reward for the entire month from the day it is issued unlike some apps (cough, cough) that only allow you to use it on the actual date of your birthday. With this in mind, and with their newest location just opening a mere twenty minute or so drive away from my home, I decided that this was a sign and the delicious beverages that Dutch Bros Coffee serves up on a daily basis is worth the drive. Upon driving down Alhambra Avenue, this new Dutch Bros Coffee beacons you like a light through the darkness, as the line at times would stretch right out into the street and would continue to do so, if their hard-working staff were not regulating traffic and had two drive-thru lines ready to go. I almost was ready to back up and look for parking, all of which I would later learn was blocked off as they were still in soft-opening mode, but by the time I decided to make my move it was too late and I was stuck in their drive-thru line. Which would only give me time to decide what my complimentary beverage option would be. The menu at Dutch Bros Coffee is large and expansive and looking at the small amount of signage they do have in both the front of their storefront and along their drive-thru doesn't do it justice. Their menu is separated into categories including their Dutch Classics, Cold Brew, Dutch Freeze, Americano, Energy Drinks, Dutch Frost, Tea, Kids, Smoothie, Lemonade, Dutch Soda, Chai, Dutch Cocoa, Extras and their Baked Goodies. Obviously that's a lot of menu to get through, and I had plenty of time to contemplate what I was going to order. When it finally came my turn to order one of their staff members approaches your car with an iPad and asks what you would like to order. I asked if I ordered more than one drink would my reward be the lowest costing drink, and it turns out it was just the opposite, as they count the highest priced drink as your complimentary drink. With this in mind I ordered a large size Golden Eagle which has blended vanilla, caramel breve and topped with caramel drizzle. Since I got that drink complimentary, I decided to also order a medium size Strawberry Smoothie and a Chocolate Chip muffin top for good measure. The staff at Dutch Bros Coffee was so nice they saw that I had a 2 dollar credit in my profile upon scanning the QR code on my app that they asked if I wanted to use that discount as well. My total bill for two drinks and a sweet treat was $6.10 before gratuity was added in, which was very reasonable considering the totality of my order. With two lines for drive-thru, one of their associates has to come out of their side door to hand deliver your order to you if you are driving on the outer lane. I couldn't wait to dive into my Golden Eagle, and it was a decadent frosty drink that is the perfect treat on a hot day. The Strawberry Smoothie was a fine drink, but was more of a slushy and didn't quite pack the flavorful punch that I was expecting, and the muffin top was a fun treat that puts the "sweet" in sweet treat. Here's to the continued success of Dutch Bros Coffee, as more and more locations open up and thrive with new customers, their continued domination of the drive-thru coffee scene in the Bay Area and beyond has become all but inevitable! read more

This location is doing pretty well since opening. While the line can get fairly long in the afternoon with all the high school students, I've frequented this location multiple times in the early morning and the lines have been very short. The staff has all been super friendly and efficient. If there is a line at all more than a few cars long, they tend to send an employee out to take orders and payments so that once you get to the takeout window has either no wait or short wait. While I do feel dutch bros coffee is either too sweet or too bitter sometimes, hard to find a middle ground, I have been absolutely loving their pumpkin cold brew. read more

I went with the sweater weather chai. It honestly didn't have a the chai flavor at all. I drink itself was still good and sweetens to my liking, however I don't think it taste like chai. I did a drive by the otter day thinking it was open, but it was early and wasn't open because it was a "soft" opening. I went again today and it had a small minimal line out into Alhambra st. The line went very quick and it was almost a 10-15 wait. They were super friendly and nice. I had ordered an Annihilator and a Passion fruit tea with a Muffin top. pastry. It's wonderful having this business near me. Their Good Vibes mentality shines through. Today is National Coffee Day and if you go buy a special hat that reads Drink More Coffee ($20) you can get a free drink. The coffee itself is good and doesn't leave a bitter aftertaste. They have a signature drink called The Annihilator. It's a chocolate macadamia flavored beverage. I love Dutch Bros for their rebel and because this is one of the few in the Bay Area and one that JUST opened, expect lines and crowds. I haven't had anything other than Aquaberry, but now I can expand my horizons! Customer service is always great at DBros and they really do try to help out and get you going. Came to the grand opening at around 6:30am and it wasn't too busy. The employees were all so friendly and would come to your car just to talk to you. It made me feel so welcomed to be there. They gave me a bunch of free stickers and recommend the Caramelizer. It is pretty sweet but very yummy. Overall: Service- 5/5 SUCH NICE EMPLOYEES!! Business allows customers to reverse on Alhambra Ave and park in the middle of the avenue, blocking traffic. I'm sure Mountain Grounds appreciates Martinez letting a coffee shop open so close, plus having a drive thru... local coffee will lose a lot of business. I appreciate Dutch Bros business model, all owners have been baristas. The horrible impact of the environment cannot be excused, though. It's awkward to bring your own reusable mug, and pointless. They make your drink in their disposable cup, and will then pour it into your reusable cup and dispose their cup, anyway. You could park and bring your cup to the window... except that all parking is blocked due to drive thru lines. The exhaust created by the incoming traffic sitting and waiting... sigh. Buy small. I only come to this location, when I'm in the area. I had an incident where I ordered at the window, girl was super sweet , even complimenting my shirt . The friend I was with had a complication earlier in the day with an employee there. When I forgot to order my last drink and asked if I could order one more since I forgot, it was immediately a different vibe . Almost as if they saw I was with the person they had issues with earlier in the day. Attitude changed, completely barely said any words when I was ordering . My first set of drinks the guy came and called out my name and handed them to me; when I ordered the one I forgot; the girl who was just so nice to me ended up being a little rude and just put the drink on the outside counter without a name or letting anyone even know it was there : I said thank you plenty of times and she was just very standoffish as if someone just mentioned to her who was with me. Anyways this is the least professional Dutch bros I have been to and what went from excellent service immediately went to terrible service . The one on Clayton road is the best Dutch bros service ever , any incident where I've been cut in front of they've always handled professionally; maybe Martinez can take some lessons from them! read more

Dutch Bros is one of my favorite but sadly the experience kind of made me not wanna go again. I ordered one large rebel at 9: 47 AM online and did not receive my order until 10:21am. There was only two people in front of me at the time when I walked up to the window at 10 AM, but also it was a online order and I thought those get started right at the time of order, as well it wasn't a coffee order. They didn't need to make espresso or anything like that, it was simply just mixing five ingredients together, one being a rebel, and the other four being syrups. Definitely bummed me out almost made me want to just leave my drink there as it was taking so long. read more
