I recently had the pleasure of visiting this mom and pop sandwich shop that I can't recommend enough. This place has a fantastic selection of classic and newer style sandwiches that are sure to please any palate. But what really stood out to me was the amazing service and hospitality of the workers. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly conversation. The workers here are truly the heart and soul of this establishment, and they make you feel like family from the moment you step inside. And don't even get me started on the sandwiches. I had the pleasure of trying the Pounder, and it was everything I could have hoped for and more. The sandwich was packed with thick, juicy cuts of meat and bursting with flavor. I was truly blown away by the quality of the ingredients and the care that went into each and every sandwich. Overall, I can't recommend this sandwich shop enough. The combination of great food and outstanding service is a rare find, and this place has both in spades. Best sandwiches in the WORLD! The employees are as great as can be, always welcoming you with a warm smile and the customer service is STELLAR. I don't go anywhere else for my sandwich needs, I'll even go out of my way to come here. Shout out to DEMETRA for making it an amazing experience every time and adding that secret ingredient to every sandwich (hint: It's love) I recommend this place to everybody I know, and don't even get me started on how great their shakes are! I prefer them extra thick and no place does it better than they do. Now onto my personal favorite, their slush! I can guarantee you that the ice they use in their slush drinks taste better than any other you've had before. This is the 3rd attempt to try to buy subs from them, their customer service has completely gone down hill, they are understaffed and the employees are rude because of it .. I called in my order they said it was going to take 15 minutes to make, I got there at the 15 minute mark , waited another 15 minutes .. still no order when I asked how long it would be for my sandwiches to be ready he said I would have to wait 15 minutes , two other people came in after me and they got their sandwiches done first .. and the guy was too busy making slushes for teenage girls to make the sandwiches .. the last time I went I had the same treatment .. I gave them grace because that day they were very busy.. but this time there was only 3 people in the store.. the way the prioritize orders should be first come first serve but it isn't .. they need help with operations read more

We couldn't be happier with our experience! DW's went above and beyond to help make our son's graduation celebration extra special. What truly touched us was finding a handwritten note included with the sandwich tray we ordered congratulating our son on his graduation. That level of care and attention to detail is incredibly rare and meant so much to our family. The sandwiches were an absolute hit! The bread was incredibly soft, fresh, and delicious. I have been to DW Subs multiple times, and unfortunately, it has consistently been disappointing. Each visit of my three visits has consisted of undercooked or spoiled food, poor service, and an annoying atmosphere. One recurring issue is the presence of an older blonde lady who appears to be a staff member. She has consistently displayed rudeness and seemed annoyed by customers, including myself. The owner should definitely reconsider her employment. Additionally, the restaurant is often frequented by high schoolers that are loud and disrespectful, making the atmosphere even more unpleasant for other patrons. Considering the subpar food, poor service, and disruptive atmosphere, I strongly suggest people eat elsewhere. read more

Walked in and walked right out! Every single person inside that tiny shop was not wearing a mask. The three employees working behind the counter noticed we felt uncomfortable and mocked us by waving by to us and saying "byyyyeeee" in a sarcastic tone. This situation is not political, it's public safety. So sad that people can't wear a simple mask to ensure the safety of others. It's so selfish and really not a big deal at all to wear it. I like supporting small businesses but I also like supporting people who care about our community and DW's are proving that they don't give a sh$t about others well being. read more

If all you've ever had is Subway or Togo's, I pity you. Was visiting with the family over the holidays and took my wife and 3 year old son here and explained how this little sandwich shop was THE place to eat when you went to EHS. They loved it and the place has not changed at all, which I was very pleased to see. These mom n' pop operations always tend to have the best food. It's been almost 15 years since I graduated hs, so it was nice to take a walk down memory lane with my own family. At this point, there was one person behind me in line and I'm sure there was some kind of lunch rush coming soon, but I still couldn't understand why he was so frantic with my order. I rushed along with him to my final sandwich, meatball and made two of them, a meal with chips and a drink and ordered a side of macaroni salad. The place itself is large, but the ambiance is that of a high school cafeteria. My order was ready pretty quickly, but when I looked down at the order, I realized that he had not asked me if I wanted everything on my second and third sandwiches, nor had he asked what kind of bread I want it. As it turned out, I would have much preferred my tuna sandwich to be on squaw then on a regular hoagie roll, but oh well. It's kind of like a skillet, except you have full control of how much of each items goes into it. Normally I don't like a ton of gravy in this ritual, but something about the gravy and sausage at Paul's Country Kitchen made this Grand Finale especially delicious. I mean--the Char's Country Plate was good in itself. I've had something similar at the nearby Mr. D's with its two sausage patties on a biscuit covered in gravy along with eggs and hash browns. I think the version at Paul's was a bit better. Every bite was a delight. But I think the best bites were reserved when I got that bit a sausage and gravy into the mix with the hash browns and perfectly cooked eggs. Grand Finales are usually a joy, but this one was especially joyous. Also, noticeable was the great service here. I found the servers personable and discerning. They managed to give out good recommendations, answer any questions about the offerings, and still hold good conversation. That's rare at any food joint you go to. Not only that, they held down the fort when it came to refills, getting my order out quickly, and dropping the bill off when it came time. The personal touch here is impeccable. Lastly, the ambience is great here. The space is kind of limited, but they had plenty of booths and tables, 2-tops and 4-tops, and counter space. Everything was decorated brightly without seeming gaudy, and it gave off a welcoming feeling that is traditional with all local diners. I wouldn't mind eating in a place like this regularly. In conclusion, I think I found a new place to have breakfast. Not only that, I think I found a new place to recommend to others when I want to point out what makes a good diner/coffee shop.

Whenever you walk in you are greeted with a hello and a smile! We usually choose either the counter or a nice two seater table so we can take it the quaint home town charm they always offer with the seasons decorations around and the amazing wall of dogs on your way to the restroom!

I was in the mood for a bagel sandwich and decided to try the newest bagel shop in town. As soon…read moreas I entered the shop I was warmly welcomed by the employees. I told them I was a first timer and they offered to answer any questions and let me know that they serve breakfast all day. Although it was past noon, they still had a good selection of bagels and muffins to choose from. I ordered the bagelwich omelet and also got a half dozen bagels to take home to the fam. I took the whole order to go, but the sandwich was still warm and toasty when I got home. Made on a spinach Parmesan bagel with eggs, ham, provolone, spinach, and mushrooms, it hit the spot! I ended up having one of the bagels for a late afternoon treat and I loved how the bagel was soft and fluffy while the outside had just the right amount of crunch. SO GOOD! And did I mention they are huge??? Way more than snack-size, but that didn't stop me from eating the whole thing :) Anyway, while I waited for my order to be prepared I sat in their dining area. They have a pretty spacious dining room for a bagel shop and they also have a couple of tables outside for dining al fresco. I'm looking forward to coming back for more of their amazing bagels!!
