We have been eating at E. Baldi for years, and I have to say this is the finest, highest-quality Italian restaurant in Southern California. The waiter staff is professional, fully knowledgable, and has a great memory - with their guests. The food is outstanding, from the meatballs (best in the world - seriously), langoustine appetizer or dinner, the sole or Branzino is absolutely outstanding, no bones to deal with and generous portions! The sides that come with the dishes, sauteed spinach and roasted potatoes (crispy), are perfectly seasoned! E. Baldi is also a wonderful restaurant to people-watch and a Hollywood power broker hotspot! We highly recommend it and will always come back for the best Italian in Southern California. Thank you, Eduardo Baldi!

By far my favorite Italian spot in LA. Must gets: corn agnolotti, steak, Dover sole, artichoke salad. The fish crudo was incredible as always. Expensive but definitely worth it. You feel like you're in Italy and the service is great and so is the ambiance. Always my favorite spot for good food.

i'm not sure why i haven't written a review for this place. there's so many restaurants in the area- but of Italian- this is def top 2. my go to's are the corn anglonotti, dover sole, and artichoke salad- for a dinner of 2, i would start with those, and add another dish or 2. straight forward, consistently delicious, attentive staff, a perfectly warmed patio- i have no complaints. prices are steep but the food is delicious.

Overall: A gem of a spot that still shines bright. Great menu, detailed service and nice ambiance. A little crowded but defiantly worth making a stop in. Pricey for sure but worth it overall.

Everything was absolutely delicious! Eduardo, the owner, is always warm and welcoming--his hospitality makes every visit feel special. The timing and presentation of each dish were impeccable, and our server was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the meal. We had a wonderful experience--our kids enjoyed it so much that they're already asking when we can come back! Every detail impressed us, from start to finish...we definitely will be back for more. though I'm pretty sure I gained five pounds! We'll definitely be recommending this gem to friends and family. 10/10 Must Have: Fried Shitake Mushrooms, Pecorino Tartufato Beef Meat Balls, Fresh Pomodoro Sauce Grilled Mediterranean Langostine Sweet Corn Agnolotti Lamb chop

A cozy yet refined dinning environment. Waiter was well versed in food suggestions. Every single dish from the starter to the desert was superb. Definitely do not miss the langoustine and the lamb chop. The seasoning was simple, but the flavor did not miss a beat. Great for family meal, date night or business occasions.

Such a nice restaurant with a comfortable outdoor patio and intimate interior. Food is really fresh and ingredients are thoughtfully put together for amazing dishes, like the "famous" chicken salad with celery and greens and fresh shredded chicken, lightly dressed was perfect and refreshing. The halibut was so fresh and flavorful The appetizer of fried calamari and shrimp was good even the next day!! And service was impeccable. A must when you're visiting LA/ Beverly Hills. A nice place to relax and enjoy a meal after a day of shopping or work!

A small restaurant with delicious food. They have wine & beer only but the pastas are authentic and delicious. There are many seafood dishes on the menu.

A really delicious dinner, although not as good as the original location in northwest Santa Monica near the PCH. That location being Giorgio Baldi. This is the Beverly Hills and smaller location. Tonight was a very tasty dinner, although for the price I would recommend going to their original location in Santa Monica. Tonight I started with the Beef Carpaccio, which was very good, although not as good as the other location. For my entrée, I chose the Veal Tortellini in Veal Broth, and it was actually very good, albeit a small portion. The Positives: the food quality and the taste are top-notch. They also have a lot of great options on the menu and our server, as well as rest of the staff we encountered, we're all very polite. I also really like the atmosphere of this place, it's classy and casual at the same time. The Negatives: it is overly pricey, I am sure due to the cost of the rent being in this part of Beverly Hills. Each of the dishes could definitely be less expensive, also the portion sizes are not very large. The Beef Carpaccio @ Giorgio Baldi is one of the best I have ever had, but this version at e Baldi wasn't nearly as delicious. The restaurant is also very small on the inside, so the tables are very close together. Conversations between tables easily overlap and moving around in the restaurant feels kind of like you're inside an airplane. Also, there is a 10% service charge on top of all bills due to it being located in Beverly Hills, which is definitely a negative. Finally parking in this area is not the easiest. We were able to find metered parking a block away, but if that's not possible your options will be valet parking for $12 or a paid lot close by. Overall a nice dinner, but I would recommend going to their original location instead.

They don't honor reservations. There are other equally-as-good or better Italian restaurants within walking distance.

Honestly, it worked out perfectly because they had AC and it was HOT in Beverly Hills that day lol. The inside of the restaurant was actually really beautiful too! Everyone in our group enjoyed everything we ordered, from the appetizers all the way to dessert. HIGHLIGHT of our lunch: my husband and I surprised my mother-in-law with a bouquet of pink roses, so we asked the hostess if they could keep it in their cooler room until the end of lunch. After dessert, they brought the flowers out for us and my mother-in-law was so surprised and happy It honestly made the whole celebration feel extra special. If it's not during Dine LA, I would likely not come back. Little did we know there was a very obvious explanation for not being full for a Sunday dinner despite the gorgeous patio being perfect for romantic dates. Overall 4 stars: 5 stars for ambiance 4 stars for service 3 stars for food Got the: 1. Toscana (7/10): - This salad was wilted by the time it got to us and not crispy anymore, so we suspect it's been sitting out for a while. - Would've been a 9/10 If it was served fresh 2. Pappardelle Al Tartufo Bianco (+$20 to add lobster pieces) 7/10: - the pasta (9/10) was good, and the doneness was perfect for fresh pasta. - Unfortunately the lobster (4/10) left a lot to be desired. The lobster meat was severely overcooked to the point of being almost rubbery and there were several small shells in the pasta dish. - The waiter must've noticed the pile of shells I made because he whisked away the plate the second I finished so I wasn't able to take a picture. 3. Filet di Manzo (5/10): - the filet was over cooked, which is starting to seem like an overarching theme. We ordered medium RARE and received medium WELL. - This would ordinarily be sent back to the kitchen in any reputable steakhouse, but we gave them a break for not being a steakhouse - the sauce was on the bitter side and this dish was paired with broccoli rabe instead of the advertised spinach so the dish was not balanced at all, just overwhelmingly bitter. Unfortunately this was the worst dish of the night. 4. Il Branzino (7.5/10): - the Branzino fish was not dry but also not moist. I'd say it's pretty typical for Italian cooking, just not flavorful either. It needs a tasty sauce to really add some depth - instead of the advertised zucchini, it came with spinach - It was soft enough for the palate of my grandparents 5. Panna Cotta (9.5/10): - wow, I can't believe the best dishes of the night were the desserts! - Panna cotta was very well balanced with the fruits. Without the fruits and fruit syrup topping, the vanilla bean panna cotta would've be too rich - did not come with the advertised candied rose petals, but this dessert was so well executed that it didn't matter 6. Tiramisu (9/10): - light and fluffy, it was executed well with chocolate shavings on top - a little bitter from the coffee (they advertise that the lady fingers were "lightly dipped in espresso" which my taste buds find hard to believe) but they did have a berry compote on the side to balance it out. - Personally I wish it was not served with berry compote as I believe the advertised mascarpone may been a better pairing Parking: valet only but there's street parking down the street and all around if you're willing to walk up to a block

There are other locations but this I think was the first one and since it was the one I frequented it's the one I will miss. I have so many fond memories of this restaurant. I came here as a little girl with my family because it was casual enough for a well mannered child but fancy enough to please the adults. One time I decided to get into shape. Every time someone asked me out for lunch or dinner I said I wanted to go to Il Fornaio. I would order a bowl of the vegetable soup or vegetarian soup of the day and the Regina Salad. The salad did wild arugula, couscous, avocado, red onions, capers, raisins, and lemon oil dressing. It was a fabulous and filling meal that also kept me skinny. I could honestly eat it every day and never get bored. During Covid I came here and we ate outside on the sidewalk. We enjoyed watching the pedestrian scene and "staying safe" while being able to eat out again. I really missed going out and I felt comfortable here which was important during Covid time. Every Halloween Il Fornaio would have 1/2 price pizza. My family made a tradition to order it. I LOVED this tradition and I'm going to miss it this Halloween. Their pizza was delicious. One time I came here with a boyfriend because they had a cooking class in the back. They had a huge entertainment room in the back of the restaurant. I wish I had a chance to have a special event here to rent it out. We had so much fun as we watched the chef talk about how to prepare each dish and what was even better is that we got to taste it in the end. We ate seabass with golden raisins, baked pasta with eggplant, and a cannoli for dessert. They even had a party souvenir which was an Il Fornaio plate to hang on the wall. Last time I came here was on the Fourth of July last year. It was also dine-la and they had the best deal of any of the dine-la restaurants. Not all the dine-la deals are good but this one truly was one of the best in terms of value for money. It was a three course meal with the most delicious fish entree. Who doesn't love a good deal? We had a fabulous time! Lastly, in recent years they added a happy hour menu to the restaurant and it was fabulous. I did another review on that so I'll keep it short here but the food and drinks were just wonderful. I will miss the friendly waiters who have been there forever. They don't make them like that anymore. Arrivederci to a true "classic"!

I originally made a reservation for indoor seating, but since it was such a beautiful day, we decided to sit outside by the pool. It ended up being the perfect choice. There atmosphere was relaxing, the noise level made conversation easy, and the view was beautiful. For food, we ordered the Pappardelle al Ragù, which was delicious. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked with great flavor. I wouldn't have minded a little more protein, but it was still a really enjoyable dish. We also had the Little Gem Caesar with chicken, a classic done exceptionally well. The standout, however, was the Diavola pizza. The combination of spicy soppressata with the honey drizzle was absolutely top tier, and the soft, airy crust brought everything together perfectly. It was easily my favorite dish of the meal. To drink, we had a couple of non alcoholic Cosmojitos, which were refreshing, flavorful, and a great complement to the meal. We closed out the evening with the homemade carrot cake, and wow it was the cake of my dreams. Perfectly moist, incredibly flavorful, and just the right level of sweetness without being overpowering. Unfortunately, my experience landed more in the "it was fine" category than memorable fine dining. The evening started promisingly with cocktails and beautifully presented small bites. Presentation throughout dinner was polished, and there's no question that a lot of thought goes into how everything arrives at the table. The bread service was elaborate and visually impressive, and several of the smaller bites were interesting. But as the meal progressed, I kept waiting for that one dish that would make me understand the hype. The truffle pizza certainly looked luxurious--and they weren't shy with the truffles--but even that didn't deliver the knockout flavor I expected. It was good. Just...good. At this level, I was expecting something I'd still be talking about the next day. That's really how I felt about the overall meal. Nothing was necessarily bad. The ingredients seemed high quality, the plating was sophisticated, and the experience had all the elements of upscale dining. It simply didn't translate into food that excited me. And when you're dining at a restaurant with Spago's reputation, "just okay" feels more disappointing than it would somewhere else. Service and atmosphere were polished, but ultimately I'm reviewing the entire experience relative to the expectations and price point. I'm glad I finally experienced Spago for myself, but would I rush back? Probably not. There are too many exceptional restaurants where I've left genuinely excited about what I just ate.

Wonderful dining experience from start to finish…read more The restaurant with it's outdoor dining area is a really a great oasis in Hollywood. Started with cocktails (Negroni and Old Fashioned) that were well prepared and served quickly. Moved on to the zucchini flowers with ricotta, burrata, roasted tomato and crispy basil, then the Margherita Pizza and Maccheroni Bolognese. Zucchini flowers were lightly battered and were great with the burrata. The pizza was Neopolitan pizza perfection and the bolognese was the right balance of pasta to chunky bolognese. Free corkage on Tuesdays was an added bonus. We shared everything and portion sizes were ample and there was even enough to have leftover pizza and bolognese the next day.
