Get the clay pot rice. Really good but it's big enough to share. Just FYI, f you pay by credit card there, there is an extra $0.50 charge.

I am Chinese and is a visitor to nyc. The food here is really authentic Chinese food. Especially the baozaifan. They cook authentic guangzhou style baozaifan. And most importantly their food is very affordable. The price bested my expectation. Good restaurant.

Great Hong Kong style menu. Huge dumplings that aren't all dough. Definitely a great variety here. Not your typical Chinatown restaurant. Service super friendly. Make sure you check the hours by calling as they do close a few minutes early if they are caught up on orders. Prices are very fair . Yes you can sit down if it's early. Walls are decorated with murals .

    Braised Beef Brisket Beef Tendon

Ordered takeout and it was delicious, but with some areas of improvement. The beef brisket was a standout dish in terms of both value and taste. The vegetables with oyster sauce were cooked and seasoned well. The braised tofu was also delicious, but the portion came with too much rice and not much tofu. I would love if they offered the braised tofu dish without rice for more quantity. The soup dumplings had a very thick skin and little amounts of meat, so I wouldn't order it again. Overall this place has an extensive menu and I'd love to try some of the other dishes!

We got the Braised Beef Tripe Lo Mein and braised beef noodle soup! This is a great place for the canto classics and everything is made very well! They have minimum seating options.

Kenny, the owner, is super warm and nice. He's always happy and super positive. We usually go there once a week for take out and we have never seen him in a bad mood. He makes my kids happy too! Food is as good as the Catherine location! In the beginning, I was worried that the food might not taste the same but surprisingly they have a chef at Jefferson St that can cook as well as the other location. This restaurant offers a lot of Hong Kong, Cantonese type dishes. Highly recommend the crab meat soup dumplings, fishball and fish cake noodle soup and also the stir fry pearl noodle in clay pot. 1) The soup dumplings are packed in it's individual containers so it prevents the dumpling skin from breaking before you get to eat it. It's thin skin, so they don't use the typical thick northern China type of wraps. That's what I enjoy. Who wants to eat dough when you should be enjoying the soup and crab meat! 2) You can pick 1, 2 or 3 items to add to your noodle soup. I usually get their fish cakes and fish balls. It has a bouncy feel with every bite and it doesn't taste frozen. My kids always fight for them when I order it. With the choice of noodle, I usually order the thick egg noodle or flat white noodle. It's just personal preference. 3) The stir fry pearl noodle in clay pot is one of the signature dish they advertise. It's a toss up between the stir fry rice roll but I kids prefer the pearl noodle. It's flavorful and the noodles don't stick together. They started offering breakfast menu maybe about 6 months ago. I'm waiting for them to add Chinese pickle/preserved vegetables with meat with rice noodle soup to the menu!!! The location is small but you won't have a hard time finding a seat. Tables turn fast since the food comes out quick. Most local neighbors do take out from there. I will highly recommend. We need to keep supporting small business!!!

    Seafood Stir Fried Noodles

Wow! I walked by this restaurant and who doesn't love a noodle spot in the neighborhood!? I walked in and was instantly greeted by front staff. Super good customer service and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I ordered the seafood stir fried noodles (I substituted for beef), and it was delicious!! Super crispy and flavorful. There was lots of veggies and the portions were huge. Wonton soup was great! The wontons were big with shrimps, and it was so worth it compared to a lot I've had. Not pictured but their black sesame paste was a great dessert to end the meal. Full of ground sesame, and not too sweet. Lastly, don't forget to partner the meal with a classic Hong Kong milk tea or a lemon honey. My bf and I will definitely come back for more takeout!!!

I placed an order on UberEats, but when the delivery driver arrived, they didn't give me my black pepper chicken rice; they only gave me the drink. After trying to communicate with the restaurant over the phone without success, I had to spend 20 minutes going to the restaurant to pick up my missing takeout. As you can see, this is a $13 portion, it looks like leftovers, or maybe it was originally just a tiny portion. I will never order from here again.

Got off the E train and when we looked for Chinese food, this place popped up with good reviews and it was just a short walk from where we got off the train. My buddies ordered the special lunches and we also got two types of xlb's, beef chow fun, and some fried dumplings. The special lunches come with a little fried rice, cold garlic flavored noodle, choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, and main side. My buddies all enjoyed their meals. The beef chow fun was also really good and beef was nice and tender. The xiao long baos were excellent and is comparable to any place in California like DTF. Nice and juicy and great with some ginger, soy sauce, and spicy chili. Friendly service and food comes out pretty quickly. Credit card is accepted. Bathroom was also very clean, which is sometimes rare in some Chinese restaurants I have been to. If you're looking for a good Chinese meal, stop here when you're in the Chelsea area.

"How 'bout there?" he responded pointing to Excellent Dumpling House. It was directly across the street. I pulled up Yelp, saw good reviews and readily agreed. At 3:30, the restaurant was empty. There were a few takeout orders, but we were the only people sitting down for late lunch. And y'know ... it was pretty good. Wonton soup is what I'd expect in Chinatown. Wonton wrappers were thin -- my preference -- the stuffing delicious and the broth flavorful. They were generous with the beef in our chow fun. Good, but the noodles needed a jolt. So I asked for soy sauce which was sort of a solution. Shrimp with vegetables was great. A lot of shrimp, too. There are lunchtime specials on weekdays, reasonable prices, and nice people work there. Next time it makes sense to try dumplings since it is, after all a dumpling house.

Located within the historic Chelsea Market building--a former Nabisco factory where Oreo cookies were first produced--the restaurant feels theatrical in the best possible way. The soaring ceilings, dramatic lighting, and energetic atmosphere create a sense of occasion from the moment you walk in. It feels less like simply going out to dinner and more like stepping into a beautifully staged production. I started with a Botanist Gin Martini with a twist, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The surprise star of the evening was the new Cucumber Tiger Salad. The balance of flavors was exceptional: bright acidity, a pleasant touch of heat, and just enough mint to make each bite feel fresh and exciting. Every so often the mint would come through and suddenly all the flavors would click together in a way that made me immediately want another bite. This is a dish I would happily order again. Next came the Edamame Dumplings. They were delicate and comforting, especially when enjoyed with the accompanying broth. The broth adds depth and richness that elevates the entire dish. My only suggestion would be the slightest touch more salt, perhaps even a finishing sprinkle of black volcanic salt for both flavor and presentation. I also found myself wishing there were a bit more of that delicious broth because it contributes so much to the overall experience. For my entrée, I ordered the Glazed Alaskan Black Cod, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fish was rich, buttery, and perfectly prepared. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the accompaniments were composed. The pickled cucumbers brought brightness, acidity, and crunch, while the black bean and eggplant relish delivered deep savory notes and unexpected complexity. I'm generally not an eggplant fan, but this relish was outstanding. The cucumbers and relish sit at opposite ends of the flavor spectrum, yet both somehow make the cod even better. Looking back, I think a glass of Sauvignon Blanc alongside the cod would have been the perfect pairing. I finished with the Miso Caramel Milk Bar, which was spectacular. Decadent, sweet, salty, and touched with just enough umami to keep every bite interesting. The chocolate crumble underneath added a wonderful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the creamy ice cream and luscious caramel sauce. Every component worked together perfectly, creating a dessert that was both indulgent and sophisticated. From start to finish, the meal felt polished, thoughtful, and memorable. Thank you!
