The first time, I had to move from Union City to a storage facility in Elk Grove and this past weekend we had two teams going, one from San Jose to Elk Grove and the other from the storage facility to our new home. Pure Moving was perfect in all ways possible. They were professional, prompt, efficient, and super friendly. They handled and wrapped items with care and made you feel at ease that everything was going to be safe and secure. They disassembled furniture as needed and reassembled it on site. One great detail, they laid down plastic protectors everywhere to keep things clean and tidy where they would be stepping. And cleaned up all the plastic wrap/coverings, cardboard and tape they used while packing and unpacking. They literally took care of all the heavy - and even the light - lifting! We learned of the broken leg when we had to reposition the dresser and realized it was broken and not stable. We place our tv on this dresser and it is very unsafe knowing how the dresser has been standing on only 3 legs. Very disappointing.

We had a challenging move from downtown S.F. to Berkeley, to a house that is in the middle of multiple construction projects. Yet they made everything feel easy. I had gotten food poisoning the day before and we were stressing because we hadn't yet finished packing. But it was no problem--they loaded the truck with the items that were ready to go while we packed the rest. Make sure to ask for Joseph and his team (Fernando and Victor). They arrived a little early so they'd be ready and were the utmost professional while also being a warm and friendly team of guys. We would have them over dinner any time. Because of Joseph I'm now convinced that moving is both an art and an athletic feat. We had a recliner (100lbs) and a treadmill (200lbs) that were too wide to go through a doorway--and yet he maneuvered them effortlessly through without a scratch on either.

I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years but they no longer value my patronage. They not only raised the monthly rent multiple times (which is expected for inflation) but they also discontinued a discount that I had on my unit since they knew I would be a long-term renter. When I tried to negotiate a compromise, all I received back was pretty much a "Don't like it? Then get out." I hate businesses that don't keep their word. Very disappointed how they've become just like any other public storage location. =(

With that in mind, it took about twice as long as the estimate was to move everything. even though I packed everything myself. with double drive time (required by CA law) it ended up being over 12 hours, so the final charge was almost twice as much as the estimate. and there was only 1 container with dishes that was completely shattered. They probably dropped it or dropped something on it, but didn't say anything. I only found out later at night when I was unpacking it. Otherwise they were awesome. They did not waste any time. They were working very hard all day. so if you get an estimate, double it, as with all the wrapping and protecting your stuff, it takes much longer. They offered me an option not protecting my stuff, but I chose to have it protected.

BY FAR five stars for The Eagle Moving And Storage Crew !!!! From the customer service over the phone to the actual move my roommate and I had a great experience. The Crew made our stressful moving situation into a delightful Day !! When we first called Eagle Moving And Storage to make our moving arrangements we were under the impression that we could stay an extra day at our apartment, therefore the fact that it was busy moving season (beginning of September) and we called only about a week in advance they could not accommodate us on our actual move out day September 1st but moving out a day later when their next available opening was would be able to work. The gentleman ( John ) on the phone was extremely polite, helpful, professional and informative as well as extremely honest! With only a day in advance my roommate and I were informed by a landlord that we needed to be out of our apartment by 11AM September 1st. Extremely stressed out I called Eagle Moving And Storage to see if there was anything they could do to accommodate us any earlier by chance. The Guy on telephone was more than helpful and went completely out of her way to get the movers to our apartment as early as possible. After hi made some phone calls and arrangements I heard back from him within minutes where hi informed me that they would be there between 11:30 and 12:00. Although we were still stressed out about it not being as early as we preferred we took that time, not to worry tho because the movers showed up at our apartment at 10:30AM an hour early!!! The three guys who moved us were extremely friendly and helpful. I have never seen anyone move such heavy and big stuff so quickly. They got right to work and did not stop until we were completely done. The total move ended up being 4 hours and costed 356$. Which was a GREAT deal and well worth it!!! For three men to move a two bedroom fully furnished apartment into another one down the street is incredible! The best part of the move was the movers. They were so friendly and funny. When the movers say to you "you girls are awesome!!" you know you are in good hands! They were extremely honest with us never once tried to take up any of our time or rip us off!! I hired Eagle moving and storage to pack and move me in November of 2020--a residential move in Sam Francisco It was an unmitigated DISASTER from start to finish--with multiple damages to furniture, improper packing, missing items, lack of safety protocols during the move, as well as irresponsibility and dishonesty from the moving crew, and a complete lack of customer service. 1. MULTIPLE MISSING ITEMS: Some items simply did not make it from the moving truck into my new apartment, including 3 framed pieces of art valued at a total exceeding $4,000 were also missing. (These pieces were eventually located over 5 days later, one by one, by the foreman Tony. They were miraculously found on the truck, which had allegedly been emptied and inspected by him right after the move). 2. EXTENSIVE DAMAGES: The crew was incredibly reckless. They broke the leg of a $6000 sofa. The crew carelessly moved an armoire and dropped it on a custom built desk, creating large divots in the wood. They removed wooden knobs from a credenza and lost them. They did not properly pack a Design Within Reach floor lamp (neither removing the lamp shade nor the lightbulbs!) before transporting it. I watched that lamp tumble onto Riverside Drive! Another vintage 1950s lamp shade that was never removed from the lamp or packed at all, is now it is completely bent and lopsided. 3. IRRESPONSIBLE PACKING: Extremely valuable glass and bone china items were put into boxes with no wrapping or protection whatsoever. Two vintage glass globe lights were tossed in a box on top of a printer and had another lamp and a small end table placed on top of them with no protection whatsoever! Even though I reiterated multiple times that all these items were very fragile, they were not even wrapped in paper or bubble wrap. 4. LACK OF CONCERN FOR SAFETY PROTOCOLS: We are in the middle of a global pandemic and I expected that everyone on the crew would take their safety and mine very seriously. One individual on the crew did not wear a mask. In addition, this employee was agitated and rude throughout the move, at one point yelling at me while I was discussing something with the foreman. The super at my new address actually told him not to come back into the building because he was yelling and cursing. 5. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS IS THE WORST MOVING COMPANY I'VE EVER USED. read more

Finally I find. A good moving company to work with . My company transferring me every few years to a different state , so I moved allot before. 3 months ago I moved to the city of San Francisco , I find eagle moving and storage here on YELP. , and I saw them review and I must to say the price was big major as well. I contact few companies. Who ask me 160$ for 3 man. . However I called John at eagle moving , and hi was so nice on the phone. Hi was very honest , and hi went over with me with all the details . I ask how many hours you think that will take to move my two bedroom place from Redwood city to San Francisco, And Hi take the list of the items that I have, and hi say that will take the guys 6-9 hours. , also hi explain that to me very clean. Hi say they will pad wrap all my furniture first. , then loading will take around the 3 hours, then the driving time , hi told me about the double driving time that will be 1.5 hours. And 2-3 hours unloading . Hi also recommended me to make sure that I am all packed and ready to go, and that will save me money. And that what I done. The day of the move come, The guys was at my place on time . They done amazing job. They take care of all my stuff so good. They start loading at 8.30 am. They done loading and pad wrap my things. Around noon. Then the drove to my new place. I got them pizza for lunch and the done the job around 3.30 pm. . I end up paying for 8 hours. Witch I am so happy. Them price was 89$ an hour for 3 super pro guys, and I was lucky to not pay 160$ for the other company . Few tips to help your move to go faster . 1. Make sure you pack all the glass , and when the guys arrived you all in boxes and ready to go. 2. If you can save some parking spat near your house. That the guys will not waist them time of long Cary items. 3.I did disassemble my beds as well just to save time, if you can, do it. However if not the guys will do it for you. , it's just take few minutes more, they did reassemble the beds for me,it's take them like 10 minutes. I got lucky, I find a very good company. If i ever moved again I will definitely used eagle moving again. And I will recommended them to every one of my friend. This guys deserve it . Thank you . read more

Eagle Moving And Storage! You can not beat this price! Movers that you can trust! I have the misfortune of moving more often than your average person and have been taken advantage of by big companies when I move. Being a single female on my own I was worried about getting taken advantage of again!! Three years ago, when it came time for me to move some things out of my storage unit I turned to Craig's List and found Eagle Movers. them add sounded promising so I called and was very impressed with the company professionalism so I hired them to come out. the 3 man crew i got to move my stuff done such a great job with my storage move I called them again when it was time to move my whole apartment. John was extremely patient with all of my questions and kept in contact with me right up to the day before the move. The rate can not be beat! I have run into situations where I was quoted one price and then once the truck was loaded it doubled. Not with these guys. The price has always been the same and they never stick you with those last minute fees. The best part... there is no sob stories about how rough the economy is and how little they get paid, you know the drill... the I want a tip drill. I have had that happen more times than I can count. Eagle Moving And Storage are top rate and would rather do a first rate job than stand around and yack when they are on the clock. Rick Oscar and Alex showed up right on time and got my whole upstairs apartment moved into the truck in two hours. I know for a fact that no matter how many of my friends offered to help me before the move, none of them would have shown up to do it or done as quick and efficient a job as Eagle Moving And Storage . The way they managed to get everything loaded into that truck was mind boggling. They unload the truck in even less time and to top it all off they asked where I wanted each stack of boxes to go. They even went that extra mile and lifted a few of the REALLY heavy ones onto the shelves for me. That is what I call service!! I have had some horrible movers in the past so I decided it was time to cough up a little more coin and stop hiring uhaul tweekers. I found these guys here on Yelp and read through the reviews. There were a lot of great ones so I decided to give them a shot. Here's how it went. - I sent over an online request for a quote on Saturday. Even though it was not during their listed business hours, they still gave me a call. I wasn't near the phone so we ended up playing a little phone tag. Since we didn't connect on Saturday, they promptly called me Monday morning to talk to me about my move. - We went over my needs and costs. We agreed on getting a 3 man crew. The price was $99. No other hidden costs. All the dollies, moving blankets, and shrink wrap were included in the cost. I decided to go ahead and schedule for Saturday. - Friday they called to confirm, made sure they had all my info correct, and said they would see me bright and early the next morning. 7am!! - 7.45 Saturday morning. The truck rolls up, 3 guys get out and start prepping and ring the doorbell. They all introduce themselves and ask for a tour. We walk through and point out what's going and they start immediately. They came by to have me initial the actual start time and didn't start the clock until 8. They didn't charge for the walk through which was great! - I sat back and did very little. I let the guys do their thing and tried to stay out of the way. They were careful with all my belongings and moved pretty quick. - After about 1 1/2 hours the truck was loaded. They confirmed the address and cross streets and off they went. - I beat them to the new house by about 5 minutes. They rolled up, gave them a quick walk through and off they went. - Unloading was a little slower due to having to move all my stuff into a basement. Nothing to complain about though. They were still very careful with everything. - overall it took 4 hours and 15 minutes including a 30 mile drive across town. I spent a little more than I wanted to but I feel it was worth it. I was very happy with the crew and their professionalism. I will be using eagle moving and storage for all my future moves!! read more

Eagle Moving and storage moved me & my husband from San Jose to San Mateo in Feb 1 and we loved them SO much, we hired them Based on them great reviews on here and other sites online . I've already recommended this company to friends and colleagues (who reported similar positive experiences) and would recommend again to anyone considering a Local move. The whole team-- from account managers ( John ) , movers, foremen, ( Clayton , Rafel , Benjamin ) were friendly AND efficient from start to finish. These people are experts at what they do and also provide excellent customer service along the way-- all at a competitive and reasonable rate. We had a 3 Bedroom home, and lots of furniture's , they nail it witting 8.5 hours ( under the estimate the quoted me ) . The way the wrap every item was very impressive , they toke care of every item like its them own. This is my second move with moving ( I hope my last move in general ) , my first move was very small, before I got married , and last move went well as well. Then attitude the entire move was so good, was very easy to deal with and work with. They had them smile the whole times ( special Benjamin ) , Rafel help my kids with setting up them beds and I video the guy how he spoke to them and toke care of them, make me smile and happy. We know it is not going to be an easy move, and we all know moving is no fun. But I must to admit, it was so much easier when you have people who know what they doing, and know how to make you feel less stress and comfortable . I got them 2 pizza for lunch and I tip them very well. And it was my pleasure . I can't speak more highly of Eagle Moving and storage and I've already recommended them services to my friend who's moving in a couple weeks. I called Them on Saturday the 26th, for a move on Thursday the 31st. (He was recommended by another five-star mover here on Yelp who was 100% booked.) John was friendly and articulate on the phone, and you could tell he's been doing this for a long time. He clearly stated his rates and assured me that there were no hidden fees for wrapping or mattress covers. He also stated that his trucks were is own and not rental trucks like most of the company's --something I didn't even think of asking. After I emailed him a list of my things, he replied in less than an hour that he would be able to move me. John called me a day before the move to confirm the move then the crew called me on them way the day of them move to say that hey are on them way. the crew showed up on time and we were able to get the contents of my fourth-floor one bedroom loaded in about an hour and a half. Afterwards, Ricardo the driver offered to drive me and my cat to my new place in San Francisco , which was a huge load off my mind. (The idea of traveling with a pet, with a bunch of stuff, and getting there before the movers had been kinda stressing me out all week.) He was nice to chat with on the ride over, and I found out that he's moved everything, from one bookcase to entire company offices. The second half of my move went even faster. All told, he arrived at my old place at 2:15, and they were paid and out the door at 5:45. This is my fifth apartment in San Francisco and I have to say the easiest move by far. I am so lucky to choose eagle moving and storage for my move !!! on August 15 i decide to move from Nob Hill to the Castro district , i start going over all the moving things research and i was surprised how many bad moving company are there. i saw some really bad reviews on some movers on Yelp! and this time, i went with Yelp for sure. after reading all this amazing reviews of eagle moving and storage ( and also the price that was too good to be true) , i decide to choose them. and i make the right decision ! ! Start it with John at the office , so professional and a nice person, he went over all the details and explain to me anything i needed to know. driving, packing, hourly, anything i just needed. and the follow up he done every few days with me, it was great experience to work with John. then to the actual movers crew , AMAZING ! Marcus was so nice and he help me with anything i just needed, Julio and Andrew went down and up the stairs that day i think over 150 times, witch make me feel so bad, but hi, they still smile after all. The movers done fantastic moving Job. and to the Owner Joey, thank you for stoping over and checking to make sure that your crew doing well, its show how much hard work you putting there and you got a great result . not to mane owners will do such a things like that. after the move i Tip the crew 60$ each for 3 man crew, and i got them a pizza as well. they worth every cent!! hello , defiantly 5 stars company. i hired eagle moving and storage to move my house on July 25 from San Jose to San Francisco. i went on line on yahoo, and i was searching to look for a good service with a good price. i saw eagle moving and storage, i did call and i spoke with john, i must to say from the minute hi start talk i know i will go with them, hi was so honest and clear , hi give me all the information about the packing and the loading and the unloading hi was honest about the double driving time, hi was very honest. i told him that i have a very bad experience with moving before. we schedule a move on the 25 , the guys showed up like a clock on 8.30 am , very clean guys nice and polite, i had the coffee and donates ready for them, they start work, and wow from the minute they start work until 9 pm they work non stop. i was so happy with the job the done. all that time they been working i did not hear one complaint from this guys, the smile the all time and help full. i am so lucky that i used them, i have a very bad experience with other moving company before called "all American movers" witch i don't think they are in service any more, witch i am very happy. john, Andrew, Carlos, mike and Jim i want to thank you all , you guys make my move so much easy-er. i will highly recommended you guys to any one who need a moving services. no hidden fee, no lazy workers, no bullshit, this guys are ROCK ! read more

I highly recommend Eagle Moving and Storage. I received 4 quotes from well known movers in San Francisco in the end I was happy deciding between Eagle moving And Storage. I decided on Eagle moving because of their impeccable follow up and attention, not only from John our sales person, but from Joey the owner himself. Joey was very professional and personable. An example that is also followed by his wonderful staff of movers. Our move was somewhat complicated, it included a move within the city into a smaller unit and a storage unit that spanned two full days The team was friendly, efficient, speedy and very neat. They arrived on time both days of the move and the owner himself called and emailed each day to see how things were going. In terms of price, they are not the cheapest , however they are fair and cheaper then the other well known companies and will not hit you up for a lot of surprise extra charges. The price was less the original quote. All of our items were packaged well and handled carefully. Everything arrived in one piece and they reassembled all of the furniture. What made Eagle moving And Storage stand out the most to me compared to the other companies was the personal attention you (and your home) receive from the Eagle Moving team, which obviously comes from Joey himself being involved. These guys were great! I had never hired movers before, instead always relying on friends and a rental truck, so I was apprehensive about trusting my belongings to total strangers. I needn't have worried with Eagle Moving And Storage though, as they're professionals all the way through -- First, they had great communication, from start to finish. From my first request for a quote right up through confirming a few days before and a follow-up the day after, they were in regular contact. Other moving companies that I contacted for quotes when I was shopping around dropped the ball by replying late or not at all. These guys never left me feeling forgotten or ignored. On the day of the move, they showed up promptly on time first thing in the morning, and were immediately ready to start. There was no uncertainty -- just a quick look around at everything that I had to move, and then they immediately started loading the truck. They were friendly and personable, and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work (as much as anyone can enjoy carrying heavy objects down three flights of stairs, anyway!). They worked quickly and efficiently, and before I knew it everything was done. In the end, the move that they had estimated at four to Seven hours ended up taking just over Five. When I called in August was great! they explained everything properly. The issue was once the movers arrived to my house. The person in charge changed the price on me to start of. Complained that boxes were too heavy. Refused to move some boxes instead of repacking them himself so that they were to his standards. The entire time he kept complaining like a child that it was too much stuff to move. When it comes to paperwork be aware that they pressure you to sign things without giving you a chance to read. The movers were too lazy to remove my fridge doors so they ended making multiple dents and a giant deep scratch on my fridge door. At the end he also try to trick me into signing that nothing was damaged. I wouldn't sign and he became upset about it. He then tried to make me sign a blank document. I refused and asked him why that blanked document needed to be signed. He said that it was proof he gave me a pamphlet which I knew was a complete lie. He was trying to get me to sign that they were not responsible for the damages they lost one of our large shelves and were unable to tell us anything about where it had went. I spoke with them office who had be submit a claim online, but it has been over 3 months since submitting the claim without any response or update to the status of it. overall my move From San Francisco to Palm Springs was awful !!! read more

We recently used Eagle Moving & Storage, Inc. on 7-17-10 for a Peninsula to East Bay move. We would like to thank Andrew, Rene, and Gilbert for their professionalism and hard work! When we first contacted this company, John, was VERY informative, thorough, and made effort to stay in contact with us to assure all details for our move were worked out beforehand. From the time they got there to the time they drove away, they continually worked nonstop. They were very efficient with moving all of our boxes and heavy armoires, furniture, etc. Upon arrival, they were prepared with extra boxes, free usage of wardrobe boxes and offered to package fragile items (i.e. mirrors) for a nominal fee. We had to make a stop before our storage unit and they were very attentive to our our needs. I would HIGHLY recommend to hire 3 movers instead of only 2 because one was wrapping furniture, while the other two were loading the truck. This just made the loading and organizing of the truck much quicker and easier. Upon arriving at our storage unit they were, again, very quick yet careful unloading everything. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company to anyone out there who is looking for movers. They were all very pleasant to speak to and knew what they were doing. These guys were great and highly professional all the way through the process. John emailed me back with a quote in under 15 minutes! As far as scheduling, they were able to accommodate my choice of moving date on fairly short notice, they did a great job on the actual moving day as well. To top it all off, their estimate came in significantly lower than anyone else gave me, for a 1 BR move from San Jose to San Francisco. On the day of move, I worked with Michael and Andrew -who were not only really hip dudes, they were friendly, enthusiastic and highly professional as well. They called me to let me know that the previous job was tougher than expected, and when I should expect them during my time window, which was pretty exact. My move went smoothly and quickly - it took about 5 hrs total. All my stuff was skillfully moved up and down a couple flights-all safe and sound, no damage & nothing missing. They also gave me ride in the truck with them to my new apt. All in all, they made what is normally a really stressful event, much less stressful, without dealing with any of the "open your wallet and watch money come flying out of it, until your move is complete" sketchiness we've come to expect from some of the "big name" movers in San Francisco area. After calling around for quotes (and special after reading a ton of movers' reviews on Yelp) on a move to a new apt. in the same city , Eagle Moving And Storage was 2nd lowest on the price and much more professional (follow-up calls-confirmations & questions, emailed quote , etc.) than the cheapest quote it was a no-brainer. They showed up on time with a prior "we're on our way" call. Was I completely ready to go? Nope -- I figured I'd pack up the last of the big art books and the bathroom and disconnect all the electronics while they did their thing. They walked in, looked around at the moving carnage (I'd been in this apt. for 8 yrs) and they start work right away . I was ready this time. They (Ricardo , Evodio and dave ) were incredibly fast, efficient, pleasant in-all delightful Pros. The movers communicate very well with each other, giving clear directions on which way they're going to move before they actually do. There's no misunderstandings between the movers so that one goes left and the other goes right and your glass bookshelf meets the floor. None of that. I hope I don't move again soon (because who likes to move?), but when I do, I will definitely use Eagle Moving And Storage again and will highly recommend them to anyone else who is moving! read more

These guys were great-- from John helping us set up the time to move (and was incredibly easy-going about a relatively last minute change in dates) to Andrew (I believe that was his name!) leading the crew that did the move. Very professional, friendly, hard-working, fast. We could not have asked for a more efficient move. The building we moved out of was a total pain with long hallways, and they had booked the elevator for another move that day, but these guys were willing and able to work around it. We are close to unpacked, and nothing appears to be damaged. As for people who had things broken in their moves, I have to say, this is sometimes the cost of doing business (i.e. moving). If you have something priceless, get extra insurance on it or pack it and move it yourself. We had packed our breakables very carefully ourselves, and so far, all is good. For the things they packed (very nice surround sound equipment, furniture, lamps), nothing appears to be damaged thus far... and when we unpacked them, they were very well cushioned. If you're prepared having packed your boxes well, these guys do the job that they're supposed to, which is move them. All in all, I would highly recommend Eagle Moving And Storage . I recently just moved into a new apartment and we hired Eagle Moving And Storage for the job. From start to finish, it was an absolute pleasure working with the company. The person I spoke to with ( John ) making our reservation were more than helpful. I was even provided a personal cell phone number as their office was closing during our move later on a Saturday. Having worked in Hospitality, it's quite obvious to me that great customer service is an utmost priority for this company. The movers themselves were awesome as well! We had three great guys who seriously busted their ass to get us moved. They were a bit late, but called me and kept me updated on their status. I strongly suggest going with Eagle Moving And Storage for your next move! This was my first experience hiring movers (that actually showed up!) and I will definitely use them again. They were also right on the money with their estimate. As with any company I'm sure, be very honest about how much stuff you need to move. I used Eagle Moving & Storage to move me into to my new home a couple of weeks ago. I used another company to move my furniture into storage and Eagle to move my belongings from my storage units into my new home. While the first company was unpleasant to deal with after they started and always hitting me up for price adjustments, which were never down, Eagle was easy to work with and did whatever they could to make me happy and worked with me during the move in to be certain that everything was were I wanted it. There was never talk of additional money, only of where I wanted something placed. Eagle sent 4 guys to move my stuff into my new home. They worked hard and I do not remember them taking long breaks, like the first company. I thought the job would take at least 2 days and possibly spill over into a third. The guys from Eagle were determine to get it done in one day and worked until they got it done, saving me money. Moving is hard on everyone involved, the moving party and the movers. Eagle was a good surprise and easy to work with.They made my final move into my house, as much as it can be, a pleasant experience. I have to tell you all what did happen...( i am not really good giving five stars at all by they deserved) ....at first i have to call in the number that i found on yelp and then i spoke to a gentlemen called "John". John was fantastic!!!! polite, told me about the service they offering and answered all my questions very professionally with great manners after i said that i have to do some more research about his company and other services in area, he said that it was fine, i said thanks and i hung up.... guess why!?! there was none better just for the starting talking on phone like "Eagle Moving And Storage." i called back ,i made an app. they came just right on time. there were 3 young guys. These guys worked hard, they packed everything with care and attention, the moving took lots of work but they did very well and in excellent time that i have given all my trust on these guys and i am very happy for that. I haven't worked before with "Eagle Moving And Storage" for this type of big moving until this day, but they are an extraordinary and a great company who I hope to recommend with in the future to everyone in San Francisco Bay area. and PS: I loved to tip out the guys after a great job they had done. read more

I rarely write Yelp reviews but this time I simply must. Eagle Moving and Storage was exceptional in every way! They moved us from SF up to N. California and the whole experience couldn't have been more perfect. We had hired a different moving company to move and store some furniture from my Mom's house while waiting for the final move, and that turned out to be a nightmare. So when we first talked to Joey from Eagle Moving we almost cried - he was so kind and reassuring and has such a beautiful way of treating his customers. The moving team, lead by Debi, was wonderful! They took such excellent care of everything. One notable thing - my friend's unclosed duffle bag was accidentally loaded on the truck during the 7-hour packing process. It had several envelopes with cash in them right on top. When she realized it was gone she got it back from the truck and absolutely nothing inside was touched. The unloading process at our new house was blissful. The movers did everything perfectly and even helped us move things already in the house to make space for the new arrivals. If I ever move again I know just who to call!! read more

We hired packing as well as moving help, and the people they sent to help pack were not even employees of the company; they appeared to be contracted from a different moving company. They carelessly threw things into boxes without considering what they were doing (for example, putting a sharp, dirty knife into a box). They also packed away a sentimental piece of broken of pottery that we were gluing together and had been sitting out to dry; it was far away from the designated packing area, so I'm not sure why they threw this in the box at all. I feel very sad that I've lost that piece. Additionally, they charged us with some bogus charges like a $30 booking fee, and $60 for gas even though all we were doing was moving stuff into a pod outside the house. We also hired them for the 3 hour minimum and they left after only 2 hours. Maybe some of their regular employees would do a better job, but if they're just sending random dudes they haven't vetted, it's probably the luck of the draw.

They were kind and compassionate with her and carried all of her belongings down more than 20 stairs. They were incredibly hardworking, staying until 10 p.m. and making two trips back and forth to completely empty her apartment. They also did a great job taking apart all of the furniture and putting it back together. Their pricing was very fair for the amount of hard work they put in. Julio and his helper were fast but careful with our items. This time around, Chalo and his helper were efficient. There was a point that we thought it was taking them a bit long to make trips back and forth to the truck but at the end, we understood why when we saw how well the truck load was organized. Both moves involved stairs within our apartment and they tackled it quickly and without complaints. I didn't like that they charge for move supplies but luckily we had enough of our own moving blankets, tape, and shrink wrap. They don't charge double drive time like their competitors and only a 2-hour minimum. While Chalo was the lead, both of them split the work evenly and we never worried if we were getting our money's worth. Thank you Jubel Movers!

The move was completed in a little under 4 hours from SF to Oakland. I paid the hourly rate + gas fee and decided to pay them the rounded up hourly rate as the tip. They kept pushing against that in person and also called me 5 minutes later to say I hadn't tipped enough and there was a minimum. This was not stated before hand and is also not listed anywhere on their yelp page or website. I have never experienced this before and considering their rates are high I was very frustrated with this customer service. My home was also left messy. Pieces of plastic and bits of debris were left on the floor and the plastic wrap used to protect items was not removed at my new home. Adding to hours of extra work. The tip harassment really pushed me over the edge. I wouldn't hire them again, which is unfortunate because their thoroughness in other areas was appreciated. I've recommended many friends to my old movers but they don't service this area. Customer service like this means no repeat business and no recommendation which is much more financial loss over time compared to a slightly higher tip. Maybe think about the outcome before you call your customers asking for more?
