Eagle Moving and Storage sent a team of three men who were not movers on our move-out day, after another team canceled on them. They refused to wear masks during Covid, tried to leave several times before taking all of the items, and did not pack things in anything other than cardboard and tape. (no proper packing materials were used.). I didn't realize until later they weren't real movers, and we had to be out of our home rental that day. By the time Steve admitted they were fill-ins, it was too late and the truck was gone. I have photos and timestamped conversations, in addition to the testimony of the movers who dropped off our things as proof. Be careful. They lowball the estimate, do not do a detailed inventory, and then jack up the final price before delivering your goods. I am in the process of filing complaints. Pieces were broken, not packed, items destroyed. So many items were not even delivered and Steve "mailed" them later. Including our Crate and Barrel console, our framed art (which we pointed out initially that we needed great care taken with these), miscellaneous items. The footboard to our bed was completely destroyed. Had we not constantly called asking where our items were, we would not have received them. They were always in the "Warehouse somewhere" in California. This move from CA to AZ was traumatic. The movers who delivered our things said that Steve was a joke and that he did not even use "real" movers to do jobs, but, instead, day laborers he found. We still do not have a usable footboard months later, after our move-in late December. Steve gave us $200 towards the footboard, on a Pottery Barn bed that was over $2,000 and previously in perfect condition before his company ruined it. The movers that brought our things did not even show up in an appropriate truck with the right equipment to deliver. No ramp, no lift, no dolly, etc. As a result, the sidewalk to our new home was scratched and gouged, as was the flooring in several places. They were angry, saying the "f" word around our 5 year old, and complained that they had to "get through the day" and carry everything by hand, and also complained that the guys who picked up the items in CA didn't pack anything correctly and that so many things were broken. They also advised me not to sign the inventory list, which I didn't. A professional moving company would have come to the house to make an estimate, not sent a lowball estimate online and then hold our goods hostage and upcharge almost a thousand dollars. Do your research before using this company. I found out in my mom's group that several people have had complaints, including calling the police due to altercations with this company, and filing complaints with the CA State Attorney General. I had rented a car in advance to pack fragile and extremely expensive things, and am so glad I did. Steve even said he'd give me a job. read more

These guys were off the hook!!! They showed up on time, they worked their ass off and they were super nice. They did more than we expected in a very short period of time. In 5 hours they moved my stuff from my place, my girlfriends entire 2 bedroom apartment (she can hoard some stuff) and moved us into our new place. We both have furniture that is fragile and we were concerned about how movers would handle these items. The guys at Eagle took their time moving each piece, they lugged all of it up 3 flights of stairs and everything went very smooth. We did our homework and found Eagle to be the best value for our dollar and getting everything done was a breeze. TRULY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH ANY COMPANY. Please beware and read all 1 star reviews before even considering this company into your home to move your valuables -- that is what I should've done before trusting this company, as my experience is much like many others' 1 star reviews. I reserved 3 movers to move a Cali King bed and they were the most UNPROFESSIONAL people I've ever dealt with. First upon arrival, the owner of the house greeted the 3 movers to which all of them ignored and did not acknowledge -- we should've taken this as a sign of their unprofessionalism, as their attitude was just as awful as their work ethic. When they finally spoke, they said they were unprepared as they did not have the proper size mattress cover -- they said they were not told by their own admin that they were moving a Cali King even though I specifically told the admin the exact size of the bed when I called to make the appointment. The admin had actually been helpful over the phone when I had scheduled the appt so I'm not sure if the admin had actually made the mistake of not telling the 3 movers of the actual size of the bed, OR if the movers just wanted to blame someone else for their being unprepared and decided to throw their own admin under the bus. In any case, I made sure to ask multiple times when I made the appointment if 3 movers would be enough to move this size bed and the admin assured me that 3 movers have moved Cali King beds many times before so it wouldn't be an issue. Unfortunately, ISSUES is all we ran into when the 3 movers from Eagle Moving & Storage arrived. As one of the CARELESS movers carried the railing from the bed down the stairs, he scraped up all along the owners wall and roof because he was moving way too fast, and the legs of the railing weren't even covered! As soon as he started scraping the wall, I told him to stop as he was damaging the owner's wall, to which he ignored me. The owner could hear the scraping from the other room so she came running over and asked the mover to stop what he was doing because he was scraping the wall -- to which he CONTINUED TO IGNORE HER. He continued to take the railing outside (where the Eagle Moving Truck was) and continued to scrape the outside of her house as well!!! During this entire time, the owner of the house is asking him to stop; however, he continues to ignore her, so she tells him, "Hey, you need to communicate!" STILL NOTHING. So she runs to find the "boss or leader" of this group of 3 movers and tells him that his team-member has just damaged her wall & roof coming down the stairs, as well as the paint on the outside of her home with the railing of the bed -- to which he just stairs blankly at his team-member, INSTEAD OF APOLOGIZING, OR saying "I'm sorry about that, let me check on the damages", OR if he didn't know what to do he could've even said "Let me get my boss on the phone and he will take care of this." No, instead, the "leader" of the 3 movers says, "Forget this, we are cancelling this move!" And the 3 movers begin to remove the mattress and railing from the back of their truck to the middle of the busy street!!! That's right -- the movers straight up dumped the mattress and railings into the street while cars were passing by and honking!!! Neighbors who watched the whole ordeal came running to help get the mattress and railing out of the middle of the street!!Yes, instead of taking responsibility & checking on the damages, the "leader" instead CANCELS the job! That's when I immediately call Eagle Moving who patches me through to the owner, Joey, who is already talking to the "leader" of the 3 movers on the other line. Finally when I speak to him and tell him what is happening, he says, "You can't talk to my movers that way." Even though his movers just damaged the owner's wall, roof, and outside of her home, AND we never said anything to these movers that wasn't rightfully warranted! It was like something out of the TwilightZone, it was as if these movers didn't know HOW to talk, let alone how to communicate properly. So then, since the owner Joey wasn't ANY help and was just blaming us instead, WE CALLED THE COPS & made a report with them!! This was truly the worst experience we've ever had with any company and we've never had to call the cops on anyone, let alone, A COMPANY. Please save yourself the stress, disrespect, AND damages, and call a different moving company. We ended up going with North Star Moving and they were able to come over the very next day and help with the move. I have posted pics of the damages (which we ended up having to fix ourselves as this company is anything but helpful or trustworthy) and pic of the 1 mover in particular who made all the damages and couldn't SPEAK to save his life. The gentlemen that prepared, loaded and unloaded my furniture and belongings were the hardest workers I have ever seen! They were all very polite with pleasant demeanor through out the whole process. I moved apartments yesterday and used Eagle Moving & Storage. I called about three weeks in advance to have the move set up for 8:00am on Saturday. I had my mom visiting in town to help me move that day and it was not a lot of furniture just bedroom items. At first, I was extremely frustrated with the person in charge because they moved my time from an 8:00am slot the day before to an unknown time. For some reason they did not have a truck handy for the time slot I had booked three weeks in advance. I was very irritated and nervous in the beginning since the time had been moved too much and I was worried that I wouldn't have my stuff moved in time. Angel, had called to reach out since he was the one that was going to be doing the job and was able to give me a set time. Not only was he extremely polite and got straight to work but was very efficient. Angel was seriously able to change the experience from a negative one to worth writing a good review. The move took less than three hours due to the team being extremely fast. I was able to get settled into my apartment in no time. I hired Eagle Moving for a move from the Bay Area to southern California. They offered a competitive rate and John was very helpful in setting up my move. The communication from Eagle Moving left a lot to be desired at each following stage. First, they told me there would be a 2-man crew for my move-out. Turns out it was a 4-man crew. Great surprise, but I had to run to the ATM because I didn't have enough cash for tips. The crew was great; very friendly, efficient, and arrived on time. But, they ended up closing up and packing boxes that were intestinally left open and I asked them not to move during the initial walk-through. They were my roommates' boxes and we didn't notice until the truck was almost fully packed. The crew would've had to unpack the whole truck to find them, so they offered to look for them at the end of the day, which was nice, but the boxes weren't marked. Eagle Moving couldn't provide me an estimate of when my items would arrive at my destination until 4 days after my move-out date. I understand that they didn't know when the next truck would be going down to southern CA, but this contradicted the conversation I had when I booked (previously was told they would know 2 weeks before my move-out date.) When I did follow up Eagle Moving couldn't provide me an estimated day because they "contracted my move out to another company." I was told the new company would give me 30-minutes notice before the truck arrived and that Eagle Moving could do nothing else to help. The new moving company called me later that day (about 4:00pm) to let me know that they would be arriving between 8am-noon the next day. I'm no longer working from home, so having less than 24 hours notice to shift my work schedule and get cash from the bank (Eagle Moving requires you to pay 30% at the end of your move in cash) was very stressful and easily could've been avoided. read more

One bedroom apt , second floor , from San Jose CA to Napa CA , ground floor apt 3 man crew , they charged me 119$ an hour. Toke them 6 hours total ( driving time toke 3 hours. 1.5 round trip ). Great experience! I recently moved from SF to LA and did it all on my own for the first time. It was a daunting process but Eagle Moving made it pretty painless. I was bombarded with calls from about a dozen moving companies and when I read the reviews, I realized it was a mixed bag of good and awful experiences all across the board. I felt like Eagle was a safe bet and they had the most reasonable offer so I took it. I was totally new to the moving process and wasn't sure what to do, so I had already thoroughly boxed and labeled everything. When the guys came in, a wave of relief washed over them after seeing that I had everything organized and ready. I am sure their job went 100x smoother because I was more than prepared for them. For over a year my garage has been so full of boxes I couldn't park in it. I needed some support to empty and sort boxes and take away what I didn't need. It started w/John on the phone who was very helpful and accomodated our schedule change on two different occasions. Moving team led by Liron and his team which consisted of Obidio, Miguel (not the married one :) and Miguel arrived approx. few minutes late (they had given me a courtesy call that they were running few minutes late) and started packing/moving ASAP. Due to an interesting turn of events I had to move apartments twice in the span of a week. For the second move I hired Eagle movers and had a great experience. Ben, Clint and John were courteous, attentive, patient and professional. Having worked with movers just a week ago I was a lot more specific this time around but that did not unnerve these guys. They were fast and careful. They also helped me experiment with furniture placement (nothing unreasonable) till it was just right. They are guys who will work with you. A few pointers to finish off this review: - Rates were cheaper or at-least competitive with other moving services. You might be a charged a bit more per hour if your move is not in the San Francisco region. - No extra charges for paying with credit card. - Almost everything is included. You can save some money by wrapping glass articles yourself but they do offer to do it if needed. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. They gave me an estimate for the job. I understand an estimate is just an estimate but bc of my situation they told me this was an "over estimate" so I wouldn't have any surprises. They told me the packing supplies were included in this estimate with zero hidden costs. I have all of this in writing. For context. I had a one bedroom apartment which had mostly already been moved. There was a couch, dressers, a bed, and kitchen table along with clothes in two small closets. That's it. The last time this exact move happened it took about a total of 3.5 hours and was fully complete. The movers arrived around 9am and a few hours later still had not made it to my new apartment. I went back to check on them and saw that everything was fully packed and just sitting in the apartment. They were not in there. I text the movers and asked what was going on and when they would arrive and then said in about an hour and a half. I called the office bc this made no sense what so ever. They were basically just running the hours by for additional charges. The office, Matt specifically, told me they would be on their way. They ultimately did not end up showing up until later afternoon early evening with one hour until my loading dock closed. I was charged for like 9 hours of work, charged hundreds of dollars for packing supplies, and then charged more than DOUBLE of the "over-estimate" I was previously given in writing. Once they left I was left to clean up all of their moving equipment. They left their blankets, etc. These are NOT items the customer keeps. It's their equipment. On top of that I opened box after box of damaged goods. A few of the items that were destroyed, but not limited to, were jewelry, sweaters, large house plants, my peloton, and my couch fabric shredded on the right arm of the couch and the back of the couch. I called Matt and told him about this and my phone calls were to no surprise never returned. I was told he would look into it and nothing ever came of it other than an email saying they'd know a one hour of the time off. Also, the workers didn't wear masks despite my building requiring it and signs being posted everywhere. I could go on and on but I've already typed enough. I've since reported this to BBB and am working to handle this on my own since the company refused to come to a reasonable resolution for this horrible situation. There are so many good movers out there. I see them coming in and out of this building everyday and just experienced one who delivered the. couch I had to buy to replace the one that Eagle movers destroyed. I would recommend you in the very least sort these reviews and read the endless stories like my own and definitely pick a different company. read more

UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL WARNING!!! BE CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY AND ITS OWNER In response to my original post of the horrible service I received from this company I got an email from Mr. Avi, the owner, offering me a refund and asking how much I wanted. I told him I wanted $120.00 (out of $432.00) for an hour that they did not actually work and damages done to some of my things. Mr. Avi said I could have the refund only if I pulled down my Yelp review and signed something stating I would not post anything negative about them again in the future. WHAT???? If you read further down, you will see that I am not the only person he has done this to. I replied and said I was not willing to pull down my post but was willing to stop the case with my credit card company and would not file my complaint with the BBB, and even went so far as to say I would post that he attempted to make it right by giving me a refund. Below you will see the email I received from Mr. Avi in response. He then followed up by replying to my original post and saying what a nice person he was and how much he cared about his clients and tried to make them happy. In all the years of my life I have never seen the owner of a company speak to a customer or about a customer the way Mr. Avi has, regardless of whether they liked them or not. At this point Mr. Avi is now just making things up trying to insult me. Point in fact, his very personal comments about "my husband" which are bizarre and rude. I do not have a husband, nor a boyfriend, and no men were present at my storage unit with me. Next he claims he quoted me a 5 hour move and was able to do it in 4.5 hours. I guess Mr. Avi forgot that I have the original quote he gave me which clearly states 3 hours not 5. So there is another made up fact by him. Apparently Mr. Avi feels that by bullying and calling names he can get me to not post my opinion of his company and my ability to warn others not to be sucked into working with his company. My refusal to remove my post yet still expecting a refund I guess is seen by Mr. Avi as blackmail, worthy of calling the police. If I can prevent someone else having to go through what I have with Eagle Moving and Storage, then it is all worth it. I would caution anyone from using this company or letting them into your home as there is something extremely off about this person. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I am really satisfied with their moving service. The scheduling with Joey was very smooth and the crew led by Stuart showed up on time during the moving day. We were moving from a 2nd-floor unit to a 3rd-floor unit and we do have some big furniture. The crew did a fantastic job, very professional, quite efficient and no damage. Compared over 20 different companies and Eagle not only gave me the best quote out of all of them but the service ended up being top notch too. Deshawn, David, and Phil were amazing and took really great and thorough care of everything I asked for without charging me any extra fees or taking a long time despite multiple flights of stairs and lots of heavy furniture. They even took the time to wrap all my furniture with pads for free. They completed my 1br (more like 2br with all the living room and kitchen furniture I have) in the minimum time (barely over 3 hours).
