I had a stopped up drain in my kitchen sink, and I called our maintenance department where I live, and they sent Eagle Plumbing. He showed me the issue the problem (which was unfortunately in my unit :p), and resolved it quickly. Not only that, but he also fixed another problem for me at the same time which my husband had been trying to resolve for a while. A lot of plusses: - a mask was worn the entire time (without my asking) - booties were worn in my house (without my asking) - The work was done quickly and properly - the issue with our bathroom sink was also fixed - my sink, beneath my sink, and entire area were spotless I strongly recommend them, very very happy! read more

Of all my plumbing experiences/contractors hired, Eagle Plumbing is the best so far. Called on July 4th and left a message of my plumbing problem. Rico (the manager?) called me back the next morning and had Tim come out to do the work. Tim is a great plumber. Very polite and honest. Did the job professionally and used brand new/good parts for the job. I would definitely use Eagle Plumbing again. Just general comments on the below: Make sure to ask for warrantee period first AND the exact quotes. The work can be warranteed from 30 days to one year, depending on the size of the job. I had two jobs done. First one by is a one year warrantee) and the 2nd one is a 90-day warantee on the labor. One thing I am a bit shy from Eagle Plumbing is that they charge you the parts they use at 50% or 2X more than it would cost at Home Depot. You can buy your own parts, but the warrantee would likely be lessened, and they will charge you at a rather a high price for any part needed, including a screw, etc., to get the job done. If you want your old parts for some reason, e.g., re-usable brass couplings, etc., ask for your old parts before they throw them away or salvage the parts. read more

I have been using Eagle plumbing for big jobs and small ever since I came to California 7 years ago. They have always done a great job. Their prices have been more than fair. They are a fraction of the price of the plumbers on the East Coast. But even compared to other California plumbers they are usually substantially less expensive. Their people are unfailingly polite. And they give clearer and more thorough explanations of what they are doing than I am used to. Most recently they installed a new hot water system. They didn't charge a dime for the initial service call where they explained that the existing system could not be repaired. When I had that judgment confirmed by another highly rated CA plumber who charged for the visit, Eagle's bid for the replacement came in hundreds of dollars less. They did the work the next day and as usual did an excellent job. I love them. Don't know why their Yelp rating isn't higher. read more

I had an issue with the drain in my kitchen and our maintenance department sent someone from Eagle Plumbing which name I believe was Victor. He was one of the most professional plumbers I've seen so far. He explained what the problem was and fix the issue fast. He not only fix the problem with my sink and pointed out a few others factors that might have contribute to the issue, but he also double checked everything to make sure the problem wouldn't come after he'd leave. Overall, very surprise with the company and satisficed with how professional this gentleman was. read more

Sacartisc people over the phone. Specially Steve. His worker, lier, came to our place, took measure from a under-counter bathroom sink, brought a wrong sink and said that told them was a top counter sink. Work took over a month to be solved. My landlord Miller & Hinkle Property Management, called me and said you pay $250,00 on a total of $500,00 bill charge.The sink was bought at Home Depot is $79.00 and they are charging $200,00 for the sink and the rest is labor, super over priced. Why didn't give me the quote before? Just to complete the post, Miller & Hinkle is a good Property Management company. Don't why need to work with this guys. read more

This place has been a nightmare. Scheduled an appt for a two hour window on a Saturday and they showed up over an hour late. We were gone at that point so rescheduled to a few days later. Again, late for the two hour window by about thirty minutes. Because I took a half day off work to be here I stayed and allowed him to do the work. However, he didn't bring the right parts... so then he had to leave and tell me he would be back in an hour to finish the work. This place is a joke. My 1-3 window had turned into a 5:30pm wrap up. We have been using Eagle Plumbing for years now and have always been satisfied. I called for a leak under my kitchen sink. The plumber, Tim, fixed the problem. While he was there he also fixed a running toilet tank and noticed that my dishwasher back flow was backing up. He took it apart and cleaned it out. Works fine now. Also, as others have mentioned he explains what the problem is and what he is doing to fix it and in some cases what you can do to keep it from happening again. read more

We had another plumber out to fix a loose faucet in our house. He told me he could not fix it and I would need to replace the fixture. I thought this was just a way for them to make more money. I had Eagle plumbing come out and they fixed it. The plumber told me why it was loose and even pointed out things that had been done wrong with the original installation. Great Job! read more

I am incredibly disappointed in this company. A year ago they were wonderful when I had an emergency. I called today with another emergency and was told by the snotty woman on the phone that they had no interest in doing any work for a new customer. I have used Eagle Plumbing for both emergency and non-emergency plumbing issues for the past few years. They have always been very responsive (usually get the dispatcher live, then a call from the repair-person within an hour or so), and reasonably priced (compared to other plumbers I have used). Some things they have helped me with include installing a garbage disposal, snaking sewer lines, installing a kitchen faucet, toilet that would not stop running, and repairing a leaking shower valve. read more

If you need your plumbing problem solved - don't bother calling Eagle Plumbing. I tried to explain the problem to the guys who showed up and they had no interest in fixing the actual problem. They only tried to fix a valve with the wrong part which didn't work (40 minutes wasted) -- wanted to go shopping on my nickle for the right part. When I called the company afterwards, the owners had no interest in calling me back to understand what the guys did or didn't do. So overall incompetent and rude. read more

Not a company I can recommend. I called at 9:30 this morning to get an appointment. Guy said he would call back in 30 minutes with a time. He did not so i called again in 40 minutes. Put on hold while he talked to "the dispatcher." He came back on line and said between 2 and 4 p. m. today. I called at 4 p. m. when nobody showed and a cheerful lady told me cheerfully that it was a "crazy Monday." I explained the issue and got put on hold. She came back on line and said they could have somebody here in 45 minutes. I cancelled the appt. and she had the nerve to ask if I wanted to reschedule. She was not concerned when I declined and said there are no second chance. At no point was there an apology or even a hint of remorse. I find companies acting like this more and more these days. Their goal is to see "x" clients a day and they are willing to accept a "y" failure rate of good service. For them this is an acceptable level of incompetence. But for the customer it is a 100% failure for that day. The rest of the story: Despite that fact that I cancelled at 4 p. m. the plumber showed up at 4:50 p. m. I sent him away. read more

5/4/2017: Edwin from Eagle plumbing came out this week and installed a new faucet and reorganized some very oddly installed piping underneath the sink. He did a brilliant job with both, and I'm really happy with his finished work. Everything about Eagle has been great so far. He came back today and fixed some old broken piping in the shower. I can't say enough about how delighted I am to have all this plumbing work done and done right. Their charges were very reasonable. He was on time and very presentable, very considerate and easy to work with. Also - they accept credit cards, so they're easy to pay. Previous comments from 2016: Chris came out to the house to give us a plumbing estimate. On the way out I asked him if he knew fridges, and he said why? The fridge was leaning funny. It turned out a previous repair person had removed one of the leveling feet and stuffed it into the very bottom part of the fridge. He found it there, and helped us put it back on correctly. Yay Chris! Chris is a very nice guy, and I would be happy to have him back to do work on the house any time. read more

Our water heater in our rental home expired after a short illness... Our landlady had Eagle come to the rescue....after a small scheduling issue (they didn't come in the time window promised, and I was almost late for work) the Tech turned up exactly at 8am this morning, took a quick look & declared it dead. A quick call to the office saw a new one arrive 30 min's later, and together the 2 Tech's had the old one out & the new one in by 11.15am. I called this company based on the many stellar reviews I read. I believed that I would also receive excellent service. Wrong! Unfortunately there are no minus ratings. The plumber looked at the leaking pipe, concluded that a "wax seal" would stop or reduce the leak. Prior to starting the work, he examined the location of the leak. Unknown to me and after he replaced the wax seal and of course the labor cost had increased; he realized the problem was not repaired. He then proceeds to show me the "real" problem. Under the flooring, the plywood is water stained, rotted out and in need of replacement and the pipe cutout is also to large for the drainage pipe. He saw all of this, didn't say a word until his "work" was "finished." I called the company and explained that I clearly understood the initial cost, which I paid willingly. What I object to paying is the "false repair job" that this "professional" sold me and thereby took advantage of my plight. Steve, who set up the appointment and with whom I spoke to on the phone about the problem did not care about resolving the problem. Eagle ran a water line from my sink to my fridge, found three problems with my rotten DIY kitchen sink plumbing work and replaced several leaking lines. The 90 minutes of work and various supplies set me back $130, which seemed reasonable to me. The fellow who showed up was fast, friendly, and complete. They back up their work with a 90 day warranty, which is appreciated. Their scheduling system could use a bit of work - person1 answers your call and requests your availability, person2 calls you back to schedule, and person3 shows up. In my case, person2 said "Friday" and person3 showed up Thursday. I happened to be around, so no big deal. read more

I used to think Eagle was a good company but you first need to get past the girl who answers the phone. LOTS OF ATTITUDE and usually rude. They have had lots of complaints about her but keep her on. I gave them lots of business for a while but finally stopped. The first thing I notice about a company is the person who answers the phone because it usually says a lot about that company and how it's run. I don't expect special treatment, just common courtesy which she has never learned. There are plenty of other plumbers in San Jose so I'd pass on this one if I was you. read more

Poor workmanship and poor customer service. A little over a month after the plumber was on site I noticed that there was a leak below my kitchen sink (who knows how long water had been leaking into the cabinetry). The compression coupling in the trap was loose and the gasket was bulging out. I called to ask for an appointment and inquire about the warranty on their work. I was told that they couldn't make an appointment for 9 days and they couldn't pull up my invoice to give me an answer on the warranty. I got a call back and learned that the work was three days out of warranty and they would have to charge for the visit! I'm not happy about the way I was spoke to on the phone and surprised they didn't take ownership of poor work. read more

Fast appointment: Called at 8:30 AM, within 10 minutes I had an appointment for between noon and 2 PM. On-time: Plumber arrived at 12:30, diagnosed problem as clogged sewer line. Solved problem fast: Got right to work, fixed problem in 10-15 minutes, told me problem was caused by tree roots clogging my line. Professional: polite, answered all my questions. hired eagle plumbing for a minor work, he showed toward the last few minutes of their two hour show up window, the guy was not trained plumber, he damaged the counter using it to cut a metal pipe leaving deep scratch, with visible cuts, and black grease, he denied causing the damage, he also left a leak I had to fix myself. Will never hire Ealge Plumbing ever again, anyone wants to hire them consider watching them every second. read more

I called in an emergency with a completely clogged pipe and water all over. The operator answered, took my number and 30 minutes later they called and said someone would be at our home in one hour. The plumber arrived on-time and was very nice. He fixed the pipe in ten minutes.. Then snaked our "problem" toilet. I asked him to do the other three he complied.. $112 later everything was finished and working better than ever. I will call Eagle if I ever have a plumbing need again!!! Update: My mom used Eagle last month and had a great experience with them! Update: 1/14/15 Needed help again. Called this morning they came today and fixed our clogged drain. He was here for an hour and it only cost us $80. The technician was completely competent and professional. I'd recommend this company highly. read more

Wonderful experience!! My water heater broke over the weekend, and myself along with my two roommates had been taking cold showers and were unable to wash any dishes or do laundry. They came on the same day I called them, even though they had appointments all day. They totally understood what an inconvenience a broken water heater was, and were happy to step up to the plate and get it fixed immediately for me! I was shocked and beyond grateful.
