    Oil

Public Service Announcement Ladies... especially my fellow single moms... Here's a customer service experience I never expected. Earnhardt Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram - Gilbert 1521 E Drivers Way, Gilbert, AZ 85297 I took my Jeep in for a routine oil change. Immediately after, it leaked a significant amount of oil all over my garage and engine compartment. I immediately returned it to the dealership. Over the following days, I asked for answers, documentation, photos of the failed part, and an independent inspection. Here's what I got: No photos of the allegedly failed O-ring. The O-ring was discarded before I could have it independently inspected. My request for the vehicle to be towed to an independent mechanic was denied. My request for a one-year warranty to stand behind their conclusion that no engine damage occurred was denied. When I asked why they wouldn't provide a warranty, I was told, in substance: "We don't know if you're going to go home, drain all the oil out of your engine, destroy it, and then bring it back here trying to get a new engine." That statement stunned me. As a single mom, my vehicle isn't a luxury, it's how I get to work, show homes, provide for my daughter, and keep my family safe. I wasn't looking for a fight. I was looking for accountability. After my vehicle experienced a major oil leak immediately following a routine oil change, I came looking for accountability and peace of mind. Instead, I was treated as though I might intentionally sabotage my own vehicle. I do expect honesty, transparency, and respect. I walked into this dealership expecting to become a loyal customer. I walked away knowing I'll never return. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before trusting this dealership with their car RESPONDING TO Luke My original comments regarding single mothers reflected how I felt during the interaction, not an accusation about your company's hiring practices. But refusing a 1year engine warranty because "I could go home, drain all the oil, and destroy my engine" is hard to understand when that's exactly what your team did to my engine!! If you're so confident this leak didn't cause damage to my engine, then warranty it. The fact that you're defending it without an ounce of care is gross. Regarding your comments about my behavior, I acknowledge I was frustrated. Finding oil covering my garage floor and my engine immediately after routine maintenance would upset most vehicle owners. My frustration was directed at the situation and to make matters worse, your Service Manager, Josh Utley, said they reason he wouldn't warranty it was be I could vandalized my own engine in an attempt to obtain a new one. Being treated as though I would intentionally damaged my own vehicle, after bringing it in for nothing more than a routine oil change, was both offensive and completely unacceptable. To date, my garage floor still has not been cleaned as promised. Jay Underwood, your General Manager, confirmed in writing that this would be taken care of, yet it remains unresolved. Still waiting for the call from the tech to come clean up the oil.... Combined with the unanswered questions and conflicting explanations throughout this process, this serves as evidence, in my experience, of your team's lack of competence and failure to deliver the level of customer service described in your response.

The 8 Jeep Wranglers I have owned over the last 26 years so this is not my first rodeo-not by a longshot.

Go elsewhere. I've owned 8 Wranglers over the past 26 years and my patience for this place has run out. If you value your time, do not come to this service department. I have never been out of this facility in less than a half an hour, even when pre-arranging a service visit the night prior or online. The Service Director or Manager Josh is condescending and does not take responsibility or make accommodations for the shortcomings of his department.

    Door panel popping out

I am extremely disappointed with how the Sales Department at Earnhardt Dodge in Gilbert handled what should have been a straightforward customer service issue. In 2022, we purchased a brand-new Dodge Charger from this dealership. During the detailing process before delivery, one of the dealership employees accidentally sliced open the dashboard on my brand-new car. Instead of replacing the damaged dashboard, it was repaired. At the time, the repair didn't look exactly the same, but the difference was minor enough that I accepted it and moved on. Fast forward to 2026, and the exact area they repaired has split back open--only now it looks much worse than it ever did before. On top of that, the trim on my door is popping out as well. In my opinion, neither of these issues should be considered "normal wear and tear" on a vehicle that was damaged by the dealership before I ever took ownership of it. What makes this experience even more frustrating is that our Service Advisor, Rick, went above and beyond for us. He did everything within his power to advocate on our behalf, fought to get this issue addressed, communicated with us professionally, and genuinely cared about making things right. Rick is the definition of excellent customer service, and he deserves recognition for his efforts because he did far more than anyone could have expected. Unfortunately, the Sales Department completely failed where Rick succeeded. Instead of standing behind their mistake and taking care of a loyal customer, they chose not to make things right. We have purchased MANY vehicles from this dealership over the years and have referred multiple friends and family members who also purchased vehicles here because of our recommendation. Loyalty apparently means very little when it comes time for the dealership to stand behind its own workmanship. It's incredibly disappointing that something the dealership caused before I even drove my new car off the lot has turned into an ongoing issue years later. This should have been handled properly from the beginning instead of patched together with a repair that ultimately failed. Customer loyalty is earned through accountability, not just making the sale. Sadly, the Sales Department showed us that once the paperwork is signed, standing behind their mistakes is no longer a priority. Thank you, Rick, for treating us with respect and fighting for us. You are the only reason this review isn't one star directed at everyone involved. Your professionalism and dedication deserve recognition, even if the Sales Department failed to do the right thing.

Service is slow and unresponsive. Had an appointment for oil change and fuel filter and it took most of the day. Was told it was ready so headed down and still had to wait.

I should not have to pay for repairs caused by Earnhardt CDJR repair shop. The compromise would cost me $480.00 for something they caused. Don't buy the BS Luke Morris is spewing here. They earned an overall 2.5 rating on Yelp and an F rating at BBB. Check it out.

I originally chose Christian Brothers on McQueen and Guadalupe because they appeared organized,…read moredetail-oriented, and professional. I purchased four tires for my Ford Transit work van and trusted their recommendation, assuming they were providing the correct tires for the vehicle. Less than a year later, one of the tires began splitting. I took the van to another shop that was closer because I did not feel safe driving all the way back to their shop. It was at the new shop where I was informed that the tires installed on my van were not properly rated to handle the weight of the vehicle and should not have been installed in the first place. I contacted Christian Brothers to explain the situation and was told I would need to drive the van back to their shop -- despite the damaged tire -- for them to determine whether anything would be covered under warranty. While I was getting the quote elsewhere to replace all four tires, Christian Brothers called back and offered a slightly lower price if I purchased another full set through them. In the end, the difference was only about $100 compared to the other shop. A shop I had never even used before, and that was the cost with no additional warranties or discounts (like Christian Brothers was claiming to be giving me). They stated they were giving me tires at cost and not charging for labor, not true. They tried to make it seem like they were doing me some huge favor by giving me such a small discount. Their front desk employee, Eric was as "helpful" as he could be throughout the process, but overall should have pushed harder with his upper management to resolve this. They should have completely comped the price of the old tires as this was their, dangerous mistake. Now they're not only making money off of me but also causing me to lose additional money by missing work to fix a problem they caused. I'm extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled, especially considering the original tires that they chose were improper for a work van like mine. All of this resulted in me needing to purchase two sets of tires within a single year!!! I expressed to them that being without my van would result in loss of money as it is my work vehicle. They had no concern for my time, money and no sense of urgency to resolve the situation that they caused. I had to leave my vehicle with them for more than a day the first time and again overnight the second time. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

As a woman, it can sometimes feel intimidating trying to find an auto shop you can truly trust. This should've been a one day job after they got the parts but they had my car from 6/22 - 7/1 due to their complete incompetence. The day the job should've been done I started sensing they messed something up because I got a text message at 1030 stating the job was done and they were wrapping up. Cool, I'll be expecting a call in an hour or so. 1:40 comes around, no phone call so I call them. Give me some BS about they need the alignment and they only have one lift and they've been booked all day. Call back at 4:40, they tell me they are waiting for someone to test drive it. Call back at 5:40, close to closing and I'm told it's ready. Come in as I'm paying, over $2k mind you, Bryan asks if I'm aware of the light that's on. I tell him no because no one has called me about anything. I assume he meant the low oil level light that was on and it was no big deal. Walk out to my car and my check engine, engine malfunction, low oil pressure, red oil can and my console screen telling me to pull over immediately is all lit up. I go get Bryan, he comes out and looks. He says it's not a big deal and that it's safe to drive. A mechanic.....is saying it's safe to drive with all those warning lights on. I ask him if it's safe to drive and unbeknownst to him I'm recording this entire conversation on Facebook voice messenger and when he says that the shop will be liable for anything that happens if I drive off I figure okay, I'll drive it home and bring it back in the morning after I work. As I'm leaving trying to turn left on baseline I almost get tboned by a jeep because my car will not accelerate. Take it back, livid, and leave it with them because what choice do I have? Days go by and we have to practically beg them to keep us informed. I can't work without my car and because of them I'm out over $2000 in lost wages. Throughout this they try and tell me it's my fault because I wasn't keeping up on oil changes and that's causing issues. I have receipts for every oil change I've gotten and the miles put on the car between them, don't tell me I'm not keeping up on my oil changes. After a week and clearly everyone and their mother that works at this joke of a shop they found the problem: the incompetent moron who worked on my car connected the wire harness wrong and it was causing my car to go into limp mode and light up everything on my dash. Over a week it took them to figure this one out. They probably could've opened up ChatGPT, put the issues in and gotten a result faster. I'm not a mechanic but I feel like if a car was working fine when it was brought in and after we worked on it it was quite literally undriveable I would triple check every. Single. Thing. I did to said car. I would keep the customer informed multiple times a day on what was going on instead of making them feel like they were completely forgotten about. Clearly these guys didn't care enough to do so. Don't EVER take your car here, they will screw up your car and not even care enough that you are out of work and costing you your livelihood. 10 days my car was in that shop. 10 days, for something that should've taken one and that's being generous, all because of their complete incompetence. Side note: not all Christian brothers are trash, my sister took hers to the one in San Tan Valley and they were amazing. This one is just horrific and they will be getting reported to the BBB and the AG. I am honestly astounded at how awful this place is. Update to their reply: I'm the primary on the account and your shop made next to no attempt to contact us regarding any issues until we gave them attitude about the lack of communication. As regards to the car being repaired safely before it's turned over to me to drive is that why I have your mechanic on audio telling me it was safe to drive with all those lights on?

Mike sent several apologies and went above and beyond what most business owners would do in a situation such as this. - He refunded me for the missed alignment and the cost of the new tire. To find this kind of honesty is rare and it proves that he operates his business with integrity. Knowing this, I would not hesitate to bring my vehicle directly to Mike in the future if need be. Mistakes happen, and he was quick to correct it. Thank you, Mike! ********************************************************* My husband brought my car over to AZ Automasters in February of 2024. We had never been there before, but I had just had new control arms and ball joints put in and since the tires were also brand new, my mechanic who did that work recommended an alignment. AZ Automasters kept the car overnight and my husband picked it up the following day. My husband stated that he asked the employees if the alignment was off and by how much, and that no one could answer his questions or seemed to "know anything about anything." But he did say that the employees working the morning he picked it up were not the same ones who were working when he dropped it off. He didn't leave feeling super confident but they said the car was done so he left and that was that. This car is kept in a garage, has not been in any accidents, hit any curbs or anything of that nature, and is well loved. I have put 8000 miles on the vehicle since the alignment. The other day we realized that the tires should probably be rotated and were horrified to notice that the outside of the passenger front tire was completely bald, the inside of the tire barely worn. We went over to where we purchased the tires as they are warranteed to 80,000 miles, but because they deemed it an "alignment issue", I had to purchase a brand new tire out of pocket. Not only did I waste $118.00 at AZ Automasters as they did not complete the alignment I paid for, I'm out an additional $145 for a new tire and still need to get the car aligned. I'll certainly be getting alignment, but it won't be at AZ Automasters. *Edit* I just had a front end alignment at a reputable shop where the employees actually care about their customers. They had to take a torch to the tie-rod jam nuts as they were totally locked up on both sides. This would NOT have had to be done had AZ Automasters done the work they were paid to do a year and a half ago. Also, this shop, who did the alignment using lasers, was able to show us via computer what they adjusted and how much, which AZ Automasters could not do for us. And this new place was cheaper! Lesson learned to shop around!
