They are unreliable, inexperienced and expensive movers with BIG language barrier issues. The movers are Russian and don't speak English. They often had to translate to English using their phone and show me their phone to communicate with me, which only elongated the move and at 'my expense'. I scheduled my move this past August and was moving from a two bedroom to something similar. I dealt with Oscar to make the appointment and at first he seemed responsive, which is why I booked them. I even told him I would write a nice review once the move is done but after the bad service and having to pay over $800 with tip (they tried to charge me for 9 hours), I couldn't. They damaged my walls and doorways, left my bed dissembled with missing pieces, and when I checked the truck before they left (because I didn't l trust them), I found they 'accidentally' kept something of mine under the furniture wrap cloth. I made Oscar aware of the issues with a text outlining what I was displeased with, PASTED BELOW, and gave him an opportunity to rectify this. Not to mention, before this text, he said he would get back to me when I brought up the bed issue yet he never followed-up. Wouldn't return my calls either, which is poor service and lack of professionalism. -----------//---------------------- My text to Oscar (dated August 25th): Hi Oscar, In thinking about it more, it'll be hard for me to do a positive 4-5 star yelp review. I would based on the initial dealings with you as you were the reason I chose easy moving, however based on the moving experience with your company, it would really be a 1-2 star experience. Here are the reasons why, with the last one being what I was most displeased with. 1) I emphasized the importance of getting a call 30-mins prior to arrival; yet there was no call until the movers got there and I had to rush to my dad's house in traffic, which caused a lot of stress and chaos for my dad who is sick with cancer. 2) Language barrier was an issue from beginning to the end (I told the guys on the phone while I was on my way NOT to load anything at my dad's house into the truck except the fridge. But when I got there, they had loaded a table too and I told them to unwrap and unload - this cost me time but it was a miscommunication they had with my dad before I got there and I had to pay for this extra time). 3) As I made you aware, after leaving my dad's, they lost another 20 mins by going to Point C last destination versus Point B, which I even REMINDED them before we took off. They blamed it on "their boss" who gave them the wrong information (and I had to justify to the Owner why this shouldn't be charged to me when it came time to pay). 4) One of your movers asked me for cold water so I left twice to get them water plus lunch - I paid for them which was my choice however this didn't help them move any faster. 5) On the way to Point C (they stopped somewhere and I was waiting on them). 6) One of the movers showed he wasn't happy with moving from a second floor to another second floor and complained to me how the fridge was hard to move upstairs. 7) A few days before my move date, I had my dad's workers move a MAJORITY of my boxes, dining room chairs, light furniture and I helped move a lot of the stuff stacking my car to the top yet your 2 movers still took 9 hours to move main furniture for one person - me. They weren't fast like movers I've had before, PLUS they didn't bring a power drill which I thought I mentioned when I booked, so it cost me time for them to unscrew my bed frame and as you know they didn't know how to dissemble and I had to wait for them to call friends and ask. When it came time to pay, the mover put me on the phone with whom they said was the Owner. I did not appreciate that I had to justify and argue to not have to pay for that 30 mins time for them to figure out how to dissemble my bed. I thought that was fair, I'm not asking for any favors I told the owner. Plus I made sure to call you when it was happening and you said it would be no problem. 8) **The movers left my bed dissembled and said it would take them a LONG time to put it back together; yet told me it's EASY for me to do it myself (see pic below how they left it). They obviously just wanted to go home. I paid good money (cash) and never had to pay so much for a similar move; and where I already had my dad's workers and myself move a lot of stuff BEFORE easy moving arrived. This was way beyond my budget, and I was very dissatisfied. But the fact that I still am not able to sleep in my bed is upsetting. I hope you can understand where I am coming from. This was the only company that could accommodate my need for a smaller truck to navigate a narrow hilly street. They showed up with a 15' UHaul box truck that we didn't even fill halfway. I was charged the 3 hour minimum but the work was done in 2 hours. Oh well, that's their policy. I had packed, prepared the move-in space and had organized this move so well, it was easy. The fellows were very nice, polite and worked fast. They followed direction well. I initially looked for a company who would use a large passenger type van but the only one LUGG had such terrible reviews. It's an app based business and all of the complaints were that there was no real person to speak to when things went awry, which apparently did quite often. If I could I would give this moving company zero stars. Now to explain how this was my worst moving experience. I have moved at least 10 times in my life and three times in the last 6 months. So I know how to move and what to expect with movers. I texted Oscar two days before my move in asking if I was all set for my move in date on the 15. I quickly got a text saying yes you are. I'm thinking perfect we will meet at 9am on the 15 and move all my stuff. The 15 comes I text Oscar at 8am to create a set time for that day. No responds, okay I'm starting to freak out 9 passes 10 passes nothing, I need to move out of my storage unit today by 6. Finally at 11:30 I get a call back, after calling two times and having my dad call. Oscar informs that I didn't sign the agreement so he didn't add me to the book, odd since I asked two days before if we were good. After a 20 minute phone call, he informs me that yes he can still move me, but instead of the three hour minimum we agreed on before it was now a 4 hour charge. Which I was I out of luck since I need to be out of my storage unit today. So I say yes. He says that we can meet at 2 to move, I'm like okay not to far off from 12. 2 rolls around and I receive a text that it's now 3. 3 comes around and now it's 4. Finally at 4 he arrives at my storage and gets out of the car. It is Oscar and his son who must be 13 or 15 and could barely lift anything! You are telling me I got "two" movers in reality it was one! I was so lucky to have my boyfriend and his friend there! THEY BASICALLY PACKED THE TRUCK UP FOR THEM! I am now pissed!!! We finally get to my apartment, and my boyfriend and his friend UNPACK THE TRUCK AND MOVE ALL MY STUFF IN!! and it only took 2 and half hours still had to pay for 4. And he tried making me pay 395 but 95$ times 4 hours of work is 380$, should have payed my boyfriend and his friend. Then Oscar asks me how he think he did? And if I could give him 5 stars on Yelp? How do you think you did Oscar? -You moved the time more than once - Your son should not be helping, hire someone who can pick up more then a small box at a time - Add up time and wage correctly - And if some ask if they are all set, DOUBLE CHECK, don't sent a quick text saying we are and not be - And maybe hire someone to answer your phones. Best money spent in my life. I have never hired movers, but this time I saved for months prior to my move to have the funds to pay a moving company. I selected Easy Moving because of their quick response time, easy no frills pricing and of course, other yelp reviews. The team of 3 showed up ready to work. They worked from 11:45 am - 7:45pm and didn't take any breaks :( I encouraged breaks but they did not take them as far as I can tell. We did keep them hydrated with cold drinks. They were very careful with my things and any/all my special requests. I was so impressed with how they even helped me pack my things (I was not 100% ready for them). WOWZA!! I am soooo incredibly happy I followed my gut to hire this company. Oscar and his guys were absolutely AWESOME! I had a lotta fragile boxes, desks, Tvs, an elliptical machine, beds and couches they had to move in a 3 story townhouse with 2 sets of very narrow stairways so I was very impressed with how fast and efficient they were! I was incredibly stressed out about this move to begin with but they pretty much alleviated all my worries when I saw how careful they were with all our belongings. Not to mention, their pricing was the most reasonable out of all the quotes I got from other moving companies for an 84 mile move. Lastly, I've had movers in the past that were quite rude and were just there to do the job so I appreciated how these guys were all very polite and respectful to talk to. We had a terrible experience with Easy Moving company. Oscar though friendly wasn't good at communicating, reached out to me at 10pm the night before our moving asking all sorts of questions about how many boxes we had, if they were heavy, what can be emptied etc. This was after me reaching out a few days prior asking if he needed any information from me. He then kept trying to push us to have 3 movers instead of 2 since it would be quicker and we wanted to job done quickly. We finally agreed we would use 3 movers and they would arrive between 9-10am the next day. 9:55am the next day I texted him, saying we still haven't heard from our movers. Our movers finally came at 11:30am. The movers were all friendly, however not careful with our items. We moved out of our apartment into a storage unit and they carelessly threw things into the unit and stacked heavy items on all the boxes marked fragile. When they were trying to close the storage door, something was catching and they kept shoving down the door- which was actually scratching our wine cart the entire time until I had to yell at them to stop. It took some time to find our new place and we wanted to wait to write this review to assess the damage that happened. Luckily nothing packed in our boxes had broken, however, every single piece of furniture had some damage done to it. Our white couch which they wrapped had been dragged and shoved and the plastic broke on the corners and now there are tears and stains on the fabric. All of our wooden pieces have scratches and knicks. Unfortunately, this was our first experience with movers and was a really bad impression. I would highly recommend putting a little bit more money into another company where they will actually care about your time and your personal property. read more

UPDATE: After scouring our files over 6 times, we finally found our passports lodged in a random folder. This still doesn't dismiss the fact that Oscar doesn't believe in customer service as he 1) lied about calling/texting my husband about the missing documents, 2) yelled at me on the phone and never had an ounce of empathy for losing important documents (a simple "I'm so sorry to hear that" would've been nice), 3) the movers kept forgetting to wear masks DURING A PANDEMIC and my husband has to constantly remind them to put their masks on and 4) my husband never approved the movers to access and "pack" our important files. Long story short, Oscar, next time show some compassion and empathy for your CLIENTS. How would you feel if people you didn't know threw your important documents into a wardrobe box without your consent? HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Incredibly disappointed with this company. We moved on December 29th, and the movers took it upon themselves to rifle through our file cabinet (without approval from my husband) and threw all of our files in a WARDROBE BOX. Our files were all disorganized, and now our passports and social security cards are missing. My husband text and called Oscar several times to inquire about the missing documents, and he never returned the calls or texts. I finally called Oscar today and he was completely dismissive saying it was my fault and never apologized. He also LIED about speaking to my husband about the missing documents. I was in the process of moving when I called these guys. I had used a moving company the day before to move all my big furniture and most of my belonging. I only had a little bit left to move in my apartment and thought I'd be able to do rest on my own. Turns out I was way off!! I needed help.
