I used to LOVE this place. One of the few healthy organic quick food options in SCV. I'm not sure whats going on but I tried recently a few times. their juices have always been a bit pricey which is understandable and they used to he so good it felt worth what I was spending. but now they literally taste like straight lemon, like so tart it puckers your lips and i can drink cayenne ginger turmeric shots. I couldn't even add water to the juice to drink it so its unfortunate to waste food. I told them a few times and never offered to re make my juice. I used to eat here multiple times a week and their juice never tasted like this. Also they used to charge me $1-$2 for an add scoop of beans and $1-$2 for an add scoop of quinoa. I totally understand the cost of doing business is i creasing but last time i called to order I was quoted $4 for a scoop of quinoa and $4 for a scoop of black beans. For comparison. I can buy 5 POUNDS of quinoa for $12. And 5 POUNDS of black beans for $8-$9 I just checked my bulk site i order from. In addition when i paid for the extra scoops in my chicken bowl they used to put it in a larger bowl and add some more greens so I always felt the price was worth what I was getting and now its a tiny bowl still for over $20 and not enough to even fill me foe lunch. Its very disappointing because I really do love their food and miss going there but The extreme over charge for a tiny scoup of beans and fresh juice so sour you cant drink it I cant support businesses doing this. And my friends ive lunched with there recently also agree about the prices and juice as well. If I'm going to pay $6+ for a juice i would hope when its not made properly it would be re made. read more

I was excited to try this location. I arrived at 6:35pm ordered a tuna sandwich. I was brought my food and was eating it and really enjoying it. I was asked at 7pm if I wanted a to go box. I was more than half way done with my meal so I said no I will be finishing while here. The woman said well it's about that time and stated that they where technically closed already. This left me a little mad due to the fact that I had just spend $24. I will think twice about visiting this location again. read more

The cafe is cute and has a great vibe to it. I ordered 2 vegan wraps, neither one had the veggie patty in it that it says on the menu. I also ordered a strawberry smoothie and a matcha smoothie, the menu says $4.99 each however they rang up for $5.50 each, when I brought it to the cashiers attention she just said their menus are old but did not give me the printed price. The wrap was stuffed with quinoa but no "veggie patty" and it was a bit bland. Probably won't be back but I do like the vibe and the sustainable products they sell. read more

I'm leaving a 3 star review as i wasn't happy with my smoothie today but it has been good in the past.

I'm literally here a few times a week. And if I'm not physically eating here, I'm ordering takeout after I come home from my 12hr shift in LA in the morning. Cleanse juice is my favorite juice, and it's oh so healthy and keeps me going! I love the protein waffle, buffalo chicken bowl, vegan bowl, vegan wrap, spicy Spanish wrap, spicy morning wrap, and real cereal bowl. I'm not sure if I got all the names of the items right great customer service as well. I love that I get a free juice after every 9 juices I buy! read more

I don't get this place. It's not that the food tastes horrible; It just doesn't really have much flavor either way. It's all simple fare with no complex sauces, surprising combinations of ingredients, etc. It's like I can make everything on their menu at home without much thought or effort... and it'd probably taste better. I get the convenience of having someone else make your meal and to have it made with healthier-than-average ingredients. I just don't understand why someone would pay this place to do it for them when the results are so blah. read more

Once you walk in you know this is one of those super healthy and hipster stuff. Their menu has a selection of bowls and sandwiches. They also have some baked goods on the side too. I had the chicken bowl and it is healthy but it lacks flavor. It doesn't have any dressing so the bowl is kind of dry. I do wonder how's their sandwiches. Real Bland! Vegan wrap and Vegan bowl $25, really? Been vegan many years and been to most of the vegan restaurants in LA and this is one of the worst. No effort into the taste, no spice what so ever. Veggie bowl was rice, can beans with lettuce on top then heated up. I could not finish mine. This was our 2nd try, won't go back unless they have a massive menu overhaul. They need to go to Real Food Daily, or cafe Gratitude and get an idea of what real food should taste like. read more

Kinda bummed that I have to write a negative review for this place. I was excited that a healthy food joint opened up right by my workplace. I've been there a number of times, and while the food isn't anything superb, I like knowing that fresh and nutritious food is going in my body. I debated whether or not to write this review but I felt like I should be honest about my off experience at Eat Real this past Sunday. I had pre-ordered my food over the phone, and they told me the food would be ready in about 10-15 minutes. When I got there 15 minutes later, the worker said she forgot to put in my order. A little taken aback since it's not like the cafe was busy (there were only a few other customers), I decided to not make it a big deal. I know mistakes happen, and who knows, this employee may have been new. I had ordered their Organic Greens smoothie for myself and a Protein Recovery smoothie + spicy tuna griller for my boyfriend. When my order was ready, I immediately noticed that my smoothie didn't look...like a smoothie. It was not blended properly and looked chunkier than salsa. And I had ordered this smoothie before and don't remember it look remotely like the one that was just made for me. Without me saying anything, the employee said she's going to blend it some more. Even with the extra blending, the "smoothie" didn't look any better (picture will be posted). I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and hope that it would at least taste good. But it was really difficult to swallow. I had to bite down the chunks of Kale that was in the smoothie. I went back and had to let them know that it was difficult to drink. I didn't want to risk them making another smoothie for me, so I asked if I could replace the smoothie with a salad, and they were able to accommodate to my request. My boyfriend let me try his Protein Recovery smoothie and it also had chunks of peanuts; at least it tasted alright. But smoothies are supposed to be well-blended, you know? I'm thankful that Eat Real was able to replace my smoothie with a salad, but I don't know if I'm willing to eat there again. I feel like the staff should be well-informed, organized, and properly trained on how to correctly put in orders and how to make their food. To give some credit, every time the owner/manager has been there, my experience has been good. She's friendly, quick, and provides good food/drinks. Perhaps I'll go back if I hear good report on better-trained staff. read more

Place should be called eat little cafe! I went to this place because of a strict diet I was on. This diet calls for a measured amount of protein with large amounts of veggies. I asked how much meat comes in the large salad. The guy said a large scoop! I asked how much in weight. He didn't know. These are probably things you need to know in a place like this. I ordered the large tuna salad and for the price was very surprised and disappointed. Canned tuna mixed with mayo (I think) and your typical stuff. I am guessing maybe 3 ounces of protein. The salad was fresh and tasted very good. It would have took three of those salads to even satisfy me. My wife got a salad also and it was perfect for her (she gets full off a single taco at most places). I was so hungry I was almost angry. We went straight to Ralph's and got a roasted chicken so I could satisfy my hunger. I have never had to do that after leaving a cafe. I usually have a hard time finishing my plate in most places. Second thing that really annoys me is that computer screen they have at the register. It asks for a tip as you pay. The buttons you can press are; no tip, 15%, 20%, 25%, other amount. It's placed in a spot so everyone around you can what you do. If you don't tip you feel like a cheap skate, but why would you be tipping before you even got your service. In my view a 15% tip is for getting good service, a 20% tip is for above and beyond. These machines put customers in awkward situations. The three stars are for atmosphere, fresh veggies, and healthy choices. Otherwise it would have been a one star place for me. read more

My wife wanted to have lunch here because she heard good things about it. Neither of us were impressed. If you like food with flavor, this is not your spot. I understand that this place is supposed to be healthy and that often means some sacrifice when it comes to flavor. I'm not talking about a small sacrifice in flavor, I'm talking about a complete lack of flavor. I mean, the most flavorful item on the dish that I ordered was the tomato. So happy for a healthy option close to my apartment! I enjoyed a girls lunch with my daughter today, and everything was perfect! Green smoothie, berry tea , sandwich and salad, all delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Very casual and spacious inside, perfect for toddlers. :-) Would love if they would order some high chairs or booster seats. This place has a decent spread of healthy items if you're looking for an alternative to all the fast food chains surrounding this place. Prices aren't too bad. Had the Buffalo Bowl w/ quinoa. Bowl looked small at first but it fills you up! They use fresh ingredients and I don't feel sluggish or tired after eating here. Their smoothies come in a small glass. Would be nice if they gave a little bit more. The decor in this place is really nice also. Kinda/sorta LA arts district inspired. read more

I love that I now have a healthy quick option for lunch in Santa Clarita with two locations. I do prefer the Valencia location over the Newhall location. It has better parking and seating accommodations. The chicken bowl was fresh and tasty. The chicken was very tender and not overcooked. You can definitely tell quality ingredients are used. My husband got the ranch wrap, which he enjoyed. Would love to try out the breakfast options next time as well as the protein bars. read more

Their "Spicy Morning" is fantastic as is pretty much anything with their Turkey Chili in it. Their fresh fruit and vegetable juices are a little pricey, but to me they're worth it because their recipes are super tasty and nutrient rich. With the kind of quality Eat Real is producing, this place should have more of a crowd. I docked them one star because their items are a little pricey, but I'm not sure that can be helped. If you were cooking at home with these kinds of ingredients you would see what I'm talking about. Give this place a try if you like über fresh fare. read more

Yay! My go-to juice spot in Newhall has a place in Valencia, right near Eggs & Things. Now I don't have to drive so far for my Cleanse & Be Happy (apple/lemon/ginger/cayenne/turmeric). It's served in a cute mason jar and if you're hungry you can grab a tuna sandwich to compliment. Sandwich comes with a salad. Service is quick during off-hours and seating plentiful. Yum. read more
