This is a great lunch date spot in the South Bay! Eatalian cafe is located in a warehouse that has been refurbished as a an Italian restaurant, complete with an Italian pastry shop, bar, and Italian gelato bar as well. It is located in quiet Gardena is is kind of a local/incognito place. What I had: 1. Pizza: me and my boyfriend shared a pizza with mushroom, ham and sausage. It was pretty good, with a thin crust! I didn't like the sausage in it that much, so I would recommend getting it without sausage. 2. Pasta: I got the tagliatelle with ragu and I liked it. The sauce was very meaty and tomato-ey. My boyfriend got the carbonara pasta and he really liked it. I tried it as well and I thought it was pretty good. Out of the two different types of dishes I got (pasta v. pizza), I would say they were both equally good, and I wouldn't recommend getting one type of entree over another. I think its a good idea to share a pizza and two pastas when you come here for variety purposes. I wish I had been able to try the italian desserts as they looked magnificent. I saw many Italian tortes that looked delicious and canneloni. The gelato looked really good too. The ambiance at this place is really cool and relaxed. This was my first time eating here and a authentic Italian place. I loved everything I got here. I am so excited to come back and try some other things. I loved how the pizza taste and the thinness of the bread. The salad was also very fresh. The service was amazing here they were so attentive and the food came fast. This is such a Hidden Gem. But once you are in it's amazing! The food does not miss!! I went with my husband and we ordered some pizza and we were so in love we ordered another one Togo. Margherita Pizza it's fresh, simple, but perfect with a glass of wine it great for lunch I also orders delivery during the pandemic and the pasta was just as delicious! It's a great spot for the family and also for quick lunch dates with friends. The best part is grabbing some gelato for dessert if you aren't to stuffed by the delicious food. I've had a variety of pasta from here and weather it's meat, chicken or seafood it's amazing. Don't let the location full you! It's very much worth it! read more

Like this hidden restaurant, there is plenty of parking, I was able to reserve a table for a party of 8, was seated right away and love their desserts. I have been here several of times and so far have not been disappointed with their service or food. Like to come here to celebrate birthdays. read more

Delicious food & desserts. Excellent service. What more could you ask for? This place has been a gem for me in the South Bay Area. Was looking for an Italian spot close to the parentals and I must say, I hit the jackpot. Pasta was perfectly aldente. Pizza is amazing. Especially if you love it Neapolitan style (thin crust). Despite all the hoopla in the media, it was nice to have a family dinner here last night. They had no hesitations accommodating our party of 26. The foood is always delish. It's so close to Mmmm house and my son loves it here also. I most enjoyed my risotto and my mixed berry Panna Cotta. I always order something different every time I come here. I want to say thank you to the staff who helped our party out. Thank you for having us and providing your best service for so many years. I'm wondering what I'm going to try next on the menu. I think a review was long over due! I love this place and order from here often. (Mostly for their pizza!) Pizzas are super thin and crispy. Pretty simple (unless you customize) and just sooo soooo good! I love the speciale, which is a margherita, but with added fresh mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. Also love the pepperoni pizza, omggg. They dont call it pepperoni here, but of course if you ask, they know. Seriously the best pizza in the south bay, IMO. Their pastas are hand made! And also delicious. Love the lasagna and the tagliatelle with meat ragu. They even come with complimentary bread. They offer house made breads/desserts as well as imported packaged pastas and sauces that you can purchase inside. Ive unfortunately never eaten inside, but the atmosphere is something id like to experience. Building is spacious and clean and the staff is always friendly. Hopefully when things go back to normal, I finally can. So glad to have this hidden gem close by. read more

Downright, good tasting, and superb food! Plus, they have wine! Came here with friend Steve S for lunch and it was fantastic all around. After coming into the area, wasn't sure what to expect as the sketchy commercial buildings and surroundings were suspect. However, felt much better as hoards (yes!hoards) of people started coming in for lunch; I thought-this is a good eatery! Love the inside machinery and decor where they churn out their own mozzarella, gelato's and pastries~ amazing! Steve ordered the Penne Speck and Trevigiano loaded with great looking ham and pasta (next time for me) and I ordered the Penne Capresi with beautiful pesto sauce and their homemade mozzarella-excellent! Both dishes looked remarkable and were consumed ferociously! The wine selection is extensive with red's and whites making it complete heaven for me. We were too full to try the pastries or gelato's but they looked well crafted and certain to be enjoyed upon our return,, Yes return! Altogether, it was a marvelous place to sit, dine, have wine and chat--pretty epic! Valet service is now available-$3.75 according to Steve and well worth it as street parking can be sparse and cumbersome. Thanks for the intro Steve! read more

Food and service are consistently excellent. I usually start with the crudo e burrata, then I get the 4 cheese gnocchi. I finish the meal with gelato or panna cotta. I've also had their truffle lasagna, risotto, tagliatelle, caprese salad, and pizza. I'll be dining there again soon. read more

And don't get me started on the garlic bread. Suffice to say I've made better at home. For me, a 4-5 star experience starts with great food. As much as I was impressed with the service and value, I can't say that I would be excited to recommend this place since the food was, in my opinion, just okay.

The White Truffle Garlic Bread was amazing--super soft, flavorful, and not overpowering. The Yellowtail Crudo was one of my favorites. The fish had great texture and quality, and all the salty, citrusy, creamy elements worked really well together. For the mains, the Seared Scallops with sweet corn risotto were a standout. The scallops were seared perfectly with great texture. The Braised Short Rib Lumache was also delicious, although the beef was a little richer than I personally prefer. We also had the Roasted Salmon with fregola and broccolini, which was cooked well and nicely balanced. Our server was amazing--attentive, helpful, and provided great service throughout the night. Ok... I know... it's a warehouse.. LOL! But the food is what matters, right? Me and my friends have been eating here probably for years now and I'm surprised I never reviewed it. Maybe because I keep seeing a lot of people giving good reviews so I thought they don't need mine... hahaha! But here's my review... Hopefully the ownership and everyone else will find it useful. Location and Space: So they are located around a industrial/ commercial area. It's a little off the road of normal eateries, but it's not a bad thing either. Inside is all white and clean. A big Warehouse converted into a restaurant so it's spacious. You could also see the chef and everyone working on your food right at the counter so you know how they make it and stuff in case you are seated there. Over all place is not bad. Not the high class place, but comfy enough to enjoy good food. Food: Someone once told me consistency is key in success when it comes to a restaurant business. Now, I can tell they've switched around their chefs quite a bit. I have always ordered the Carbonara. It has probably been made many different ways for me too... Some chefs cook it really well and some I wasn't so happy about and thought the quality was declining since they opened the place. They need to get back to how good the food is before they start turning off some customers. Even the tiramisu is changed here and there. Sometimes it's super cold and sometimes it's mushy already. Sometimes it's so perfectly made. the size also changes. So i'm not sure if they've had different bakers as well. My friends and boyfriend order the other items on the menu and they also said they hope they are more consistent with food quality. But over all food is mostly good than bad. Their pizza is really good too so try that when you get the chance! :) Service: ok so here is where it gets tricky. Before when we came most of the servers were Italian... LOVED IT! I mean it felt authentic and they call u "Bella"! LOL!!! Ok... I'm easy to please... :) But then more people were hired and I liked most of them. There's one lady their that is so attentive and sweet, but she can't be there all the time... so sometimes there will be the new servers. One time, we were left waiting 20minutes to be minded by our server who kept serving the table beside us and we kept trying to get his attention but it seemed like we were not there. It really annoyed us. We've been eating here a lot and that was the first time we felt like we were un-welcomed because of that server. We saw how attentive he was to the other table, but totally lacked the same enthusiasm with us! After that day we didn't eat their for months because it left a sour taste to us. We did mention it to the manager, but damage was done. I hope it never happens again, but I will definitely be turned off if it does. But over all service was ok. Wrote my original review on 3/14/15. For some mysterious reason it only showed uo for a few days, so here it it again. let's see if it sticks. Went there March 14 with 12 others for a birthday celebration. It was our first - and last - time. We arrived at 7 PM and had to wait almost an hour to be seated. And it went downhill from there. After we were seated it took another 15 minutes to order. The bread was like cardboard - no flavor & dry. I had the Risotto Frutti di Mare. For those of you who may not know, risotto is made from a specific type of rice that has a higher starch content so that when it is cooked in a broth the starch is released and the end result is a firm rice in a creamy broth. At least that's what it's SUPPOSED to be. Apparently, and I have no idea why, the chef thinks that a long grain, low starch rice is the right one to use, like you would find in a soup not like a classic risotto. Well, I didn't want Frutti di Mare with rice from a soup but that's what I got. So the broth was watery and the rice lacked the al dente of an Arborio or Carnaroli. Very disappointing. My wife had the Penne Capresi, penne with pesto, cherry tomatoes & mozzarella.The penne was floating in over oiled pesto and was lukewarm at best. Someone else had the same and it was room temp. My neice had Linguini Frutti di Mare. You would expect that since there were three frutti di mare dishes - 2 linguini & my "risotto" - they would all come out at the same time. Nope. My niece's finally came out 15 minutes after we'd all been served and her mom's was sent back with the wrong sauce. As for the flavors, well they were just average, nothing special. So when all is said and done they failed the trifecta. 1. Can I cook better than that? Yes 2. Would we go back? No 3. Would we recommend to others? No. This is, in my opinion, no better than your generic Americanized Italian restaurant. with poor service, a chef who doesn't know what Risotto is and line cooks who have no idea about food production. Antonio, someone needs to step in and fix it. It just doesn't work. Capisce? read more

EXCELLENT! Doesn't get much better... We took my Mom and Dad to Eatalian Cafe for Mother's Day (actually Friday B4 Mother's Day) and what an experience! We LOVE the unique layout of the resataurant (dining/warehouse/kitchen feel), it had a commercial warehouse feel, but still felt warm and inviting. We were immediately greeted by an authentic Italian server who had a charming accent and welcomed us to our first visit. My mom is accustomed to eating at Olive Garden or other commercial chain restaurants, this was a little daring for her since the menu offerings were very traditional Italian. Our server spent a generous amount of time helping her to understand how some of the menu items were prepared and how they may differ from a typical American version of the same item (i.e., Spaghetti). Now that we were better informed on how to proceed with ordering, we placed our order for two pizzas, side salads and spaghetti. The food arrived within 10 minutes of our order and what a treat it was... The pizzas were a visual delight (not your fast-food pizza), however, the aromas were intoxicating!!! We delved in and the thin crusted pizzas simply melted in your mouth! The flavors came together beautifully and before we knew it, we were fighting over the last slice. We elected to stay for dessert and when we asked for menu, we were encouraged to make a trip over to the gelatto bar and sample/select our own favorite items. We graciously accepted his offer and the bar did not disappoint! Gelatto was a first for all of us and I must say, I will never see ice cream the same. All in all, it was a most memorable experience and certainly will not be our last!!! read more

So we were gonna have dinner for work somewhere central to everyone. My friend recommended this place. I pulled up and the sign said food processing facility and restaurant so I was confused. Went to the back and found parking. It was busy. Used the main door which is on the side of the building. Found my friends sitting at the bar. We all needed to be there to get seated. Got sat and a friendly server was greeting us taking our drink order. We like cabernet but most of the red wines were chianti or sangiovese. We found a bottle for 65 that had 17 percent cab. He allowed me to taste and it was good. He kept coming back to refill the glasses. Very thorough on the menu and suggestions. They do process food and pack it there. Very cool industrial concept. Cozy yet sterile interior. White tables and pizza pasta risotto and salads are on the menu. The salad had the most smoothest fresh mozzarella ever. No dressing. They have vinegar and oil and a spicy sauce on the table for you to make your own fresh concoction and it was yummy. One of my friends and I shared a bacon and salami pizza that was oozing with flavor even though there wasn't a lot of sauce. Very thin pizza. Hand tossed. We also shared the linguine with clamp in light red sauce. Good but not as full of flavor. We tried two desserts which you can walk up to the counter and pick yourself from the pretty display. Fruit tart slice and tiramisu. Fruit tart was amazing. Dinner for 4 including a 65 dollar bottle of vino... $135. We also had great strong coffee at the end. Hidden gem. Great unique concept. the to go person should learn the menu. she wasn't nice and I asked her very politely to tell me the appetizers because the phone version of their website for Android totally sucks. she didn't want to tell me the list of appetizers because there were a lot. I politely asked if she could please read them off and she replied with "theres a lot of procuitto dishes and salads" , once again I politely asked if she could read them off please, then she finally did(very annoying). I again explained to her that the phone menu wouldn't pull up because she sounded annoyed like I was being difficult. and I couldn't pull up a bunch of things I really wanted to see. the pictures looked so delicious but I couldn't navigate through the menu. and then I was starting to ask about another penne pasta dish I saw but didn't remember the name and she couldn't tell me what it was called and tried to say she would change a dish. I said no there was a penne with a light red sauce not spicy could you give me the name of it please? and instead of looking at her menu or figuring it out she told me to hold on she would transfer me to the manager she was very busy. I am busy too and in a hurry. I wasted 45 minutes fiddling with your horribly designed website and tried to call and ask a quick question but was treated rudely. I was going to spend 50$+ and be back every week for the next 5 months but not anymore. find an employee who is spectful knows your menu and will be understanding and patient. I am very happy to have discovered Eatalian Cafe. First off, the restaurant is completely unexpected for Gardena. It is very contemporary in a huge warehouse setting. I felt it had more of a Seattle vibe to it. Everything appeared to be spotlessly clean and the staff was very friendly. I accidentally left my scarf there and when I called to inform about it, the cashier had it safely tucked away for me. (Thanks Claudia :) They started us off with a basket of bread and there were two types of olive oil (spicy & regular) on the table as well as balsamic vinegar. I was craving a good glass of pinot grigio; but they don't get their alcohol license for another month. We ordered the artichoke pizza which was everything I hoped it would be. The thin, crunchy crust had just the right combination of cheeses on it; and was packed with the flavor. Then we had the butternut squash ravioli. There were about a dozen pieces and the squash was extremely sweet. If you're not a fan of sweets, you might ask for the chef to tone it down a wee bit. I wouldn't change a thing. For the pizza and pasta, the bill came to $23. When we were there, there was no music, however, there was a nice variety of patrons. I love being in a restaurant where it's obvious everyone is happy and chatting, and really enjoying the food. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I would have really enjoyed a glass of wine with the meal. Let's get the parking situation out of the way first: it can be a bit of a challenge at Eatalian in Gardena. But trust me, the food is SO worth circling the block a few times. This place is a gem! It's our family's go-to for authentic Italian food, and we've never been disappointed. When we go, I always have a hard time deciding between the Marlon Brando Pizza (pizza-calzone hybrid) and the Pizman Pizza. My wife is a pasta fanatic, and she swears by their Spaghetti Carbonara and Spaghetti Puttanesca. She says they're both perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. If you're going with a group, definitely get the Affettati Misti con Sottoli all'Italiana. It's a huge platter of cured meats and cheeses, and it's perfect for sharing. We always end up fighting over the parmigiano reggiano! And don't even think about skipping dessert! Their tiramisu is heavenly, and the affogato al caffe is the perfect pick-me-up after a big meal. But the real star of the show for my 7-year-old son is the gelato. They have a great selection of flavors, but he always goes for the chocolate one. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. It's a great place for a family dinner or a date night. Just remember to plan ahead for parking! Five stars for the food, and maybe knock off 1/2 a star if possible because of the parking. read more

Came a late night with some friends who recommended we try this place, and was not disappointed. For starters the place looks like a warehouse on the outside but never ever judge a book by its cover. As soon as we walked in we were seated immediately and recieved our drinks. the inside of the restaurant had a nice feel to it, being all white but had little decoration that just made the experience that much more worth it. The laker game was bing projected off of a wall and yet it did not take away from the elegant feel of the inside appearance. the food was amazing as we had the pizza and it had to have been the best pizza i have ever tasted. the waiters gave us fresh bread whenever it was finished immediately. The pizza was seasoned and cooked perfectly making me wonder what the pizza may tastes like forcing me to come back at a later time overall the experience was amazing i recommend Eatalian Cafe for any type of meeting business or casual or even for a date which a loved one. it is even nice for the kids as it has a nice Gelato creamery inside the restaurant for them to enjoy i deem Eatalian Cafe a hidden treasure as many may not know but soon will. 5 stars all around from me read more

This place is a little hard to find. Located in the middle of an industrial area, it seems really small but once you go in, It's enormous. Probably a remodeled warehouse of some sort. Anyways. The service here is quite nice. You sign in at the front and you get called when your table is ready. We came on a Tuesday around 6:30 so it wasn't crowded like usual so we did not wait at all. The moment you sit, you get Italian bread loaves that are complimentary and endless which is nice! We ordered the basics, Spaghetti Carbonara and Rock pizza since that was recommended. The carbonara is like any ordinary one but it still tasted great! The rock pizza was excellent as well. Came with mozzarella gorgonzola meats and a vegetable on a super thin crust. The flavors went so well together the creaminess of the cheese, the spice of the meats, tanginess of the tomato, and the crispiness of the crust. I would get it again! The menu has a lot to choose from and they have a wide variety of desserts from gelato to tiramisu to cakes. But my girlfriend doesn't like eating new things but that's okay haha. We had HORRIBLE experience at this restaurant. Watch Out !!!! The owner "Antonio" is CRAZY... !!!!! We ordered a bottle of red wine and the server offered us for tasting. The wine was not so good so we asked for another bottle of wine. After the server went back to bar area (which is center of restaurant), we heard someone was yelling at our server. Then that crazy person came to our table and started yelling at us saying " WE DO NOT GIVE FREE SAMPLES " " DO YOU UNDERSTAND? WE DO NOT GIVE FREE SAMPLES!!!" " WE OPEN THE BOTTLE , YOU DON'T LIKE IT. THEN WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN? YOU TELL ME, WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN?" We had never asked for free samples... We were completely blown away by this crazy person. And this person is THE OWNER OF THIS RESTAURANT NAMED ANTONIO. Went to eat here with my husband one night. I heard this place was good so went for dinner. The place certain didn't look like a restaurant. lol I almost didn't recognized it. The restaurant was a huge warehouse. We had a seat by the gelato/dessert section. We had our waiter explained the menu and their signature pizza. We ordered their Rock pizza and Linguine Con Vongole. While we were waiting, we ate their signature bread with balsamic vinegar. When our food had arrived, we looked at each other and whispered to each other 'this is it?!' The taste of their pizza and pasta was below average, nothing special what our waiter told us. It felt like eating a snack, not a dinner. We certainly thought it was not worth of our money. WOOOAH! What a gem Eatlian is. This restaurant is running from a warehouse building. How cool is that? My Italian friend brought me here saying that this is as authentic as it gets here in LA and she was right. The food taste totally different from your typical Italian places. The owner has 2 restaurants in Italy also. Take the pizza for instance. Their pizzas here are paper thin and very light. It's lightly spread with fresh melted mozzarella and whatever toppings that your pizza comes with... A++!! You wont leave here feeling like a big whale because the food is just not heavy, and oh-so-delicious! The pastas, WOW, the penne and the linguini were both super excellent. The pasta tasted home made. I once made my own pasta by hand in Tuscany, Italy and the pasta here reminded me of that experience. Their Gelato (a small one is actually not so small) $2 ... and dun dun dun SUPER SUPER DELICIOUS! I'm so sad I have to go back to Denver for school and leave Eatlian behind. I was at a meeting on South Main, not the best area in Los Angeles, and was asked if I wanted to go to the best Italian restaurant in town. I asked how far was it and - it was just around the corner. With reservation I said yes . Well - it was a warehouse with tables next to machinery, separated areas for production and the best food, wine and service anywhere. The Pizza De Mare is absolutely to die for with tons of seafood including shrimp and mussels on top of a crispy thin crust. I have Filet Minion with garlic and olive oil pasta - WOW. The complimentary bread with olive oil, balsamic and spicy sauce to make your own dip was great. Adding to our pleasure was a couple of bottles of elegant red wine, all from Italy, I think everything was from Italy! To top off the dinner we all had different kinds of Gilato and a piece of home made cake. The experience was great, the price reasonable and the atmosphere enjoyable. Highly recommended! read more

Without a doubt, this is the greatest real Italian food in Los Angeles! This is close to a town with many industries. Parking is available on the street, however I think I noticed spaces close to the restaurant. I love chicken Parmesan better, and this dish did not let me down! The potatoes and vegetables that came with the chicken were quite tasty. The restaurant was quite good; it was roomy and neither ostentatious nor romantic in my opinion. Maybe because I went shooting that day, I wasn't feeling that romantic. There's not a lot of sitting here, which is good because there's not a lot of noise, but I could tell this place gets full. A warehouse turned modern Italian eatery. This restaurant is a best kept secret in the middle of Industrial Gardena. Fresh, simple, high quality (imported) ingredients make for a more authentic Italian taste. They are able to capture the fullness of flavor with very few basic ingredient combinations which is one of the beauties of true italian cuisine. The pesto is chocked with incredibly fresh chopped basil and garlic. The pizzas are topped with crushed tomatoes, quality cheeses, and cured meats. They have a selection of pastas made fresh in-house like the butternut squash or spinach raviolis which are wonderful. They have a whole spread of in-house made desserts, gelatos, and an espresso bar. This is not for those that are looking to satisfy their Italian-American style cuisine favorites. What a hidden neighborhood gem. The building looked closed from the front and it is difficult to spot the restaurant without clear signage. However, once you step inside, it is a huge, open, enticing space that makes you feel like you stepped into another world. There is a large dining area, with a bar area, and a dessert display case. The pasta was delicious here! I tried the tagliatte but asked for it with the speck e trevegiano sauce. It was a short fee to pay to upgrade this pasta but the pasta was worth it. The sauce was good but after a while, it was tiresome. The butternut squash ravioli, however, was deeply gratifying. It was so creamy and delicious. Despite being so full, I kept on eating it. I NEVER Yelp, ever... but I feel the need to tell everyone that this place is amazing!! I had a baby shower to throw and no sweets, what to do? At the last minute my husband mentions a industeral type building that he thought did pastry's and pizza. We drove up and wanted to get back in the car and drive away... but my husband dragged me in all the while i was loudly proclaiming my protests!! Well that all changed the moment I walked in the place, wow I didnt expect what I saw, a full pizza station, expresso, gelato, and a bakery!! I sampled some pasteries and decided to order. It was cheap and quick, Angelo the bakery guy was helpful and assured us that he could get us what we needed in the time frame we needed it!! And boy was it GOOD!!! Plus my kids LOVE the gelato!!
