We found this place through the Resy app as we were trying to explore something new. We arrived on a Sunday upon opening, and we were lucky enough to get a table by the al fresco window. Jose was our waiter, and he was exceptional. He thoroughly explained both their food and drink menu, made suggestions based on the house favorites, and was attentive throughout our visit. We took a chance on Jose's recommendations, and tried their cesar salad, mozzarella sticks, margherita pizza, paired with a champagne bottle from the champagne region in France. We were not disappointed! There were no leftovers to take home, and that only means we have to return! Thank you, Jose and team!

My family surprised me with Father's Day dinner at LoZio Osteria, and what a pleasant find. The space immediately makes an impression. The large open windows let in plenty of air and natural light, creating a bright, relaxed atmosphere. We had a 5:30 reservation and were seated promptly. As a fan of thin-crust, artisan-style pizza, I was especially looking forward to trying LoZio, and it did not disappoint. Our server was low-key, easygoing, and welcoming, offering thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling pushy. To start, we ordered a 0.0 Peroni and an N/A Aperol Spritz. Both were surprisingly good and a nice option for those looking to skip alcohol. For appetizers, we shared Nonna's Meatballs with toasted bread and a Caesar salad. The salad was generously sized and easily enough for the three of us to share. Both were excellent choices. For our mains, we ordered the Ricottina pizza with mozzarella, DOP Parmesan, ricotta, sausage, portobello mushrooms, and fresh thyme, along with the Baciata pizza sandwich stuffed with chicken parmigiana, mozzarella, and red sauce. Both were absolutely delicious. The pizza crust had that perfect balance of crispness and chew that I look for. Service was very good overall. The only small miss was that no hot pepper flakes were brought out with the pizza. We ended up grabbing some from the bar ourselves. That said, everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. One thing to note is that parking can be a bit challenging if you're unfamiliar with the area. We found street parking around the corner without much trouble, but after my review, owner Jay let me know that guests are welcome to use the Beach Life Fitness Boutique parking lot next door, and there is also a small lot behind the restaurant off Pearl Street. Helpful local knowledge for next time. All in all, a wonderful Father's Day dinner and a restaurant we will gladly return to. Great food, welcoming service, and a bright, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended. 5 stars.

Fantastic pizza, delicious dishes, handcrafted drinks, and the perfect atmosphere to enjoy dinner together. We'd been once before, but we were in the back for an event - we loved the dishes we tried, so we had it on our list to visit the next time we were in town. Our daughter's friend was performing in a high school musical close by so it worked perfectly to stop by LoZio's beforehand. The service was friendly and the atmosphere made you feel like you were invited into their little community. I had my eyes set on a pizza and beer and both absolutely hit the spot. The pizza crust was just right - a bit bubbly and crispy where needed, and the sauce was different than the norm, but in a very good way. The bruschetta kicked us off and the tiramisu and an espresso finished our meal. Hayley of course had to pose with the Tiramisu as it's her favorite. We finished the evening watching Something Rotten, which was incredible btw, but I have to say there was nothing rotten about LoZio's. Looking forward to our next trip out!

Mozzarella Sticks with Marinara, crispy perfection, especially when dunked in rich, tangy marinara.

My wife has been talking about this spot for a while, one of her friends from Italy has been hyping it up like it's the second coming of Naples, so expectations were properly calibrated. We decided to run it as a Saturday night movie-night takeout play. To their credit, my wife let the person on the phone call an audible and build out a "best of the best" order. Respect. We landed on: Spicy Antonio Pizza - a beautifully blistered crust with that perfect balance of chew and crisp, topped with spicy Italian sausage, chili oil, and just enough heat to wake things up without blowing out your palate. This thing had attitude. Spicy Penne Vodka - creamy, rich vodka sauce with a subtle kick, clinging to perfectly cooked penne. Comfort food with a little edge... exactly what you want on the couch with a good flick. Mozzarella Sticks with Marinara - textbook execution. Golden brown crunch on the outside, molten, stretchy mozzarella on the inside. No shortcuts here--these were dialed in. Bottom line: the food flat-out delivered. Pizza was legit, pasta was strong, and those mozz sticks? Dangerous. Only reason this isn't a full 5-star banger... the total. After tip, we were north of $80 for takeout, which made me do a quick double take. Not a deal-breaker, but worth noting. SMH That said, quality is there, flavors are there, and I get why it's getting buzz. Would I go back? Yeah!!!! "A tavola non si invecchia."

I'm shocked by the high reviews for this place but there are also many lower reviews which make sense... the location of this restaurant is kind of good, near the beach literally across from Veterans Park. There is metered parking outside and the place has lots of seating inside and outside patio. The food is very MEH.... The mozzarella sticks just taste like frozen ones heated up in the oven, Caesar salad was just ok and very overly dressed.... The pomodoro was probably the best thing we ate here but that was also just meh and really didn't need the melted mozzarella on top.... The pizzas were both meh....the margherita was alright and the waitress recommended the ricotta with mushroom one as a best seller but it was so bland and just a mess of mushy ricotta with no taste... The chocolate gelato was decent but the cherry one tasted just like cough medicine... I don't think I'll be going back here...

I've been meaning to try this place for a while and I'm so glad I did. We celebrated my daughter's confirmation there and even though our dinner started on the later side due to the ceremony ending at 8:45, the restaurant couldn't have been more accommodating. Every staff member we encountered was kind and cheerful. The food was delicious (our favorites were the meatballs, super saucy cacio e pepe, and the chicken parm with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus). Our group really enjoyed the pizza as well. The vibes in the main dining room were lively and the back patio, where we had our reservation, was more private and peaceful. This place is a great addition to the neighborhood!

I had an amazing dinner at Lozio Osteria in Redondo and I'm already excited to go back! I started with Nonna's meatballs, and wow, these were perfection. Tender, flavorful, and surprisingly light, they had that comforting homemade taste that makes you feel like you're being welcomed into someone's Italian home. Next up was the Ricottina pizza, and it was absolutely outstanding. The mix of mozzarella, DOP Parmesan, ricotta, sausage, and portobello mushrooms, all finished with fresh thyme, created a beautiful balance of rich, savory flavors. Every bite felt thoughtful and elevated without being heavy. To top it all off, the pistachio cake was the perfect dessert ;moist, nutty, and just sweet enough. A perfect finish. One of the highlights of the evening was getting to meet the mastermind behind these dishes, who is from Bari, Italy. You can truly taste the authenticity, passion, and craft in every plate. Lozio Osteria is a gem with exceptional food, warm atmosphere with amazing service and a personal touch that makes the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Food is outstanding!!!!!!!! I have never tasted such a fine food from my dad's friend's restaurant!!! Absolute greatness, and my mom says try the lemonchello! The service is kind and friendly. It is also kinda quick! The ambience is a nostalgic Italian atmosphere along with a setting of any great pizza/pasta place.

I walked in on a Friday afternoon during lunch hour. The place was completely empty while two young ladies were at the bar handling glasses and utensils. I approached them, made eye contact and they continued working without acknowledging me. I stood by the bar for a minute or two when one of the young ladies asks if I'm there to pickup. I said I was dining in and she told me to pick where to sit. I took a seat and one of the young ladies came by with a menu and some water; she said she'd be back in a moment to take my order. 10 minutes later, she came back to take my order. I felt my wait was excessive as I was the only customer there. Not sure what made the wait so long. Nonetheless, I placed my order and thankfully everything came out in a nice timely manner. I started with the Nonna's meatballs, which were honestly so delicious! I wish it came with even one bit of bread so I could mop up the sauce with. Next, I dug into the Margherita pizza. The pizza too, was outstanding! I like a little kick with my 'za, so I had to get up and find my own red pepper flakes. I didn't see any Parmesan or oregano to add, so I assume they don't offer it. I ended my meal with the cannoli, which were just average. Overall, I think the food is superb but the service is lacking. Next time, I will order take out.

Walked in right as they were opening. Was greeted by friendly staff and told we were perfect timing because they offer happy hour! We knew nothing of this place, we had been customers of the old restaurant prior to their opening. The space felt familiar and intimate with some changes, but was clean and cozy. Shared a pasta and pizza and was full and happy (the HH wine helped). Will be back to try the homemade meatballs!

Spaghetti pomodoro with added meatballs. Really good.

Tried this place the other day for lunch and it was a pleasant experience. I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro and added meatballs. It was delicious. The sauce tasted fresh and flavorful, definitely good quality tomatoes. The lady next to us had the bruschetta and it smelled so good. Definitely will be going back to try everything else. The only thing that was kind of a pain was the parking. They have a tiny parking lot in the back but they share it with another business so there's only like 4 stalls designated for the restaurant. Luckily it wasn't too crowded so we found metered parking nearby. But if it gets busy like in a Friday or Saturday night, might be a nightmare. Other than that, great food and will definitely be going back.

We tried the Margherita pizza, chicken wings, and their meatballs. The chicken wings were okay, but the meatballs were really good -- the sauce was great and very flavorful. The Margherita pizza was also good; the sauce really stands out. Service was good as well. We sat at the bar and the staff was really nice. Serving was quick. Highly recommend their gold rush to try.

Cute spot right off the pier. I loved that they have gluten free pasta and pizza options. They had excellent service and the food came out quickly. Seems like a spot locals like to visit which is a good sign. Will be back for sure

She gave us new plates and new utensils after each dish. She shared with us that it is the dining culture in Italy. Margarita pizza: The crust of the pizza is crispy! The flavor of the cheese and the tomato were so fresh. The pizza was not oily at all! Pesto lasagna: it has a crispy layer on the top of the lasagna, and this is what we loved the most! Rebecca told us that the chef intentionally creating a crust on the top layer! I'm guessing since they're coming to a permanent closure, it only makes sense that the quality of the experience (food and service) had began to going down. We were seated immediately, so we were off to a good start. It took a bit of time for Daniel (yep! We got the same server from the last time) to come around and get our orders. It wasn't too bad since the wait gave us the opp to decide on apps and mains, so we got to put all our orders in at once. CALAMARI: Battered thin and crispy. Dash of lemon juice made it better. Quality? Yes. Quantity? Not so much. I thought it was pricey for the amount we got. PEPPERCORN POLPETTINE: Meatballs in cream sauce. Even with the whole peppercorns, the sauce was good. The meatballs, however, didn't taste or look homemade at all. (I recently made frozen meatball soup at home and the meatball's flavor was pretty much similar.) So.. meh... BRUSCHETTA ALLA CHECCA: This was the best app out of the three. Crostini was perfect and the toppings were all perfectly balanced. SPAGHETTI AI NERO DI SEPPIA: Looked great, but lacked flavor. Asked for fresh grated cheese and added black pepper which helped a little, but still missing something... Hubbers got the linguine pesca mare which he loved (he emptied his plate!) So I guess that says a lot. And I'm really glad he liked it, being his birthday and all. He also chose crème brûlée to finish off his birthday treat. (No, they didn't comp it - which is fine, and I don't expect them - or any business - to, even more since they are shutting down. I understand they need all the profit they can get.) Overall a little less stellar than the first visit. I'll admit I was a teenee bit disappointed since we had an amazing experience the first time. All the same, I'm still glad of the experience and wish them well on their future endeavors!

Operating a restaurant is not an easy task, and as such we are understanding when something goes wrong. We are not as understanding when there are multiple issues. First off, the service was almost insulting. We had early reservations, so I don't think they were overly busy yet, but you wouldn't know that by our server. For all we know he could have been the Italian owner of the restaurant, and if that was the case, that made it even worse. Barely a greeting, no explanation of the specials, just a cheap plastic sleeve one would buy at Staples office supply thrown onto our table. He found our questions about the menu bothersome, and when I asked him about one item, he wrote it down as if I'd ordered it. Luckily we caught his error when I told him what I wanted for dinner and he said, "So you don't want the lasagna?" Um, no, I was just asking a question about the lasagna. We both ordered our meals along with the Heirloom Burrata appetizer. We asked if there was any bread with the appetizer, and he said no, so we asked for a bowl of bread to have with the burrata. It didn't show up, and we had to remind him. It finally arrived with our pasta. Oh well. My wife had ravioli stuffed with crab and lobster. She barely touched it and couldn't have been more disappointed. I told her to send it back, but she doesn't like confrontation. I had the cannelloni, and I have to steal a line I heard from another table: "This tastes like the stuffed shells I buy from Costco." It really did. I guess the pasta is homemade, but you sure couldn't tell from this dish. They came and picked up the dish without commenting on how little my wife had eaten. They asked if we wanted dessert, and, clearly expecting a no, plopped the bill down in front of me. We paid, yes we tipped, and immediately walked a few doors down to get my wife something to eat for dinner. We will never go back.

The hostess and the server went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. The food, on the other hand, was a disaster. It felt like they were not prepared to be open on valentine's Day, and they went to Costco to get already prepared meals to sell at a higher price point. The Caesar salad was clearly from a bag, the vegetables were 100% frozen and re cooked, and the meat was as if it had been cut into smaller portions just to make a little bit go a long way. The most disappointing part is that they sell themselves as a mom and pop Italian restaurant... when in reality they are not and owned by a company that runs other franchisees. So, the lot know better... it was just a bust and we will not be returning.

It was with no doubt, one of the best pizzas I have tried, the mozzarella cheese was really good. I also tried the Guaraná drink, which is a Brazilian drink, really good. After we were done, we spoke with the owner, chef Marcus and another employee who were very friendly and you can tell they care about their clients and give the best pizza and experience possible. Definitely coming back, I'll bring my family and more friends because we really loved the pizza and the customer service. I highly recommend this place!

I ordered the truffle mushroom pizza and it was absolutely phenomenal. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside while still light and airy inside. The truffle flavor was rich without being overpowering, and the mushrooms were fresh and perfectly cooked. Every bite tasted balanced and authentic, like the kind of pizza you hope to find in a small Italian spot that truly cares about the craft. Then came the Nutella calzone, and that alone is worth the visit. Warm, perfectly baked dough with Nutella inside that melts just right. Sweet, indulgent, and honestly one of the best dessert calzones I have ever had. Also the best and most polite service, wonderful people. I have had a lot of pizza around Los Angeles, and this is easily one of the best I have tried. If you are in Redondo Beach and appreciate real quality pizza, this place is a must. Great flavors, great execution, and a spot I will definitely keep coming back to. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.
