Service was really good! The host was super nice and our server was attentive throughout dinner and gave us great wine recommendations. We sat outside and the ambiance was also really nice, quiet, and relaxing. Unfortunately, the food was VERY mid for the price. The truffle fries were crispy and good, but had basically no truffle flavor and tasted like regular fries. We also got the Spicy Antonio. Our first pizza actually had a piece of plastic in it, but they handled it well, remade it, and comped it for us. The crust was definitely the best part it was thin with a nice fluffy outer crust. The pizza itself wasn't spicy though, and I couldn't really taste the honey or the other flavors listed. Lastly, the spicy bolognese honestly just tasted like regular spaghetti to me and felt overpriced for what it was. Overall, great service and a nice outdoor atmosphere, but the food just wasn't worth the price for me. Our party of three dined here for the first time. While I thoroughly enjoyed the dinner, my two guests had the opposite opinion. I began with the Cesar salad which was huge. Easily shared among the three of us. That's the good news. I thought the salad was very nice and flavorful and well presented my two guests only took a few bites and their portions went to waste. Both said they found the salad tasteless. I'm sticking with my opinion and recommend the salad, especially for those wanting a shareable portion. For the main course I had the Fettuccine Bolognese. It was a large order, well presented and very flavorful. I had no trouble finishing all of it and would order it again in the future. On the other hand, one of my guests ordered the Carbonara and stopped after two bites complaining the eggs tasted overcooked and flavorless. He returned the order, it was taken off the bill and he didn't order anything else. My other guest order the Margarita pizza. He ate one slice and decided he didn't like it. B it he asked for a box to take the remainder with him. After we left he decided he was displeased with the taste and threw the box away. So the bottom line is 2 out of 3 didn't enjoy the dinner and I thought it was great. What can I say?! As for the beverages, two of us ordered the Aperol Soritz. It was a nice beverage, it looked great, and was a nice addition to to meal. Pricing IMO was a bit on the high side, but that's just the sign of the times. For dessert I ordered the Pistachio cake to share. However, it was a pretty small slice and just enough for one person. My two guests got one bite each and I ended up with two bites. Consider this not shareable. Street parking was good. We found a spot directly in front. Keep one thing in mind - the curb is so high the passenger side doors could not be opened in our sedan and we had to drive into a nearby driveway to open those doors. read more

We made reservations for tonight and was promptly escorted to our table. As I sat down I noticed there was some water on the floor behind the table and thought someone just spilled some water. One of the staff came by and wiped the ground and said they would come every so often and wipe it up. I was a little confused until I looked up and saw the water was dripping due to condensation from the ac. I then noticed that there were wet spots on my table and then I felt it drip on me. They knowingly sat us on a table where it was being leaked on and can only imagine my food would have been contaminated. I immediately asked to change tables and they were able to move us to the patio in the back. Afterwards the server was nice and the food was decent but the experience definitely left us with a bad impression. Prob won't be back because of this. read more

Great drink menu with a number of the specialty drinks on the menu created by their bar tender Jose. I couldn't make up my mind between the Firehouse #1 and the green velvet and he encouraged me to order both. 2 diametrically opposed drinks, both amazing in their own right. My family surprised me with Father's Day dinner at LoZio Osteria, and what a pleasant find. The space immediately makes an impression. The large open windows let in plenty of air and natural light, creating a bright, relaxed atmosphere. We had a 5:30 reservation and were seated promptly. As a fan of thin-crust, artisan-style pizza, I was especially looking forward to trying LoZio, and it did not disappoint. Our server was low-key, easygoing, and welcoming, offering thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling pushy. To start, we ordered a 0.0 Peroni and an N/A Aperol Spritz. Both were surprisingly good and a nice option for those looking to skip alcohol. For appetizers, we shared Nonna's Meatballs with toasted bread and a Caesar salad. The salad was generously sized and easily enough for the three of us to share. Both were excellent choices. For our mains, we ordered the Ricottina pizza with mozzarella, DOP Parmesan, ricotta, sausage, portobello mushrooms, and fresh thyme, along with the Baciata pizza sandwich stuffed with chicken parmigiana, mozzarella, and red sauce. Both were absolutely delicious. The pizza crust had that perfect balance of crispness and chew that I look for. Service was very good overall. The only small miss was that no hot pepper flakes were brought out with the pizza. We ended up grabbing some from the bar ourselves. That said, everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. One thing to note is that parking can be a bit challenging if you're unfamiliar with the area. We found street parking around the corner without much trouble, but after my review, owner Jay let me know that guests are welcome to use the Beach Life Fitness Boutique parking lot next door, and there is also a small lot behind the restaurant off Pearl Street. Helpful local knowledge for next time. All in all, a wonderful Father's Day dinner and a restaurant we will gladly return to. Great food, welcoming service, and a bright, inviting atmosphere. We found this place through the Resy app as we were trying to explore something new. We arrived on a Sunday upon opening, and we were lucky enough to get a table by the al fresco window. Jose was our waiter, and he was exceptional. He thoroughly explained both their food and drink menu, made suggestions based on the house favorites, and was attentive throughout our visit. We took a chance on Jose's recommendations, and tried their cesar salad, mozzarella sticks, margherita pizza, paired with a champagne bottle from the champagne region in France. Fantastic pizza, delicious dishes, handcrafted drinks, and the perfect atmosphere to enjoy dinner together. We'd been once before, but we were in the back for an event - we loved the dishes we tried, so we had it on our list to visit the next time we were in town. Our daughter's friend was performing in a high school musical close by so it worked perfectly to stop by LoZio's beforehand. The service was friendly and the atmosphere made you feel like you were invited into their little community. I had my eyes set on a pizza and beer and both absolutely hit the spot. The pizza crust was just right - a bit bubbly and crispy where needed, and the sauce was different than the norm, but in a very good way. The bruschetta kicked us off and the tiramisu and an espresso finished our meal. Hayley of course had to pose with the Tiramisu as it's her favorite. This place is great. It's close to the beach which is amazing and it has free parking. The inside seating is nice and airy. The food was really good. We got two pizzas (the pepperoni and the spicy pizza) which were both really good. We got a pizza sandwich w/ arugula, prosciutto and avocado. We had ordered the chicken Milanese which was really good and then added it into our sandwich which made it even better. We also got the chicken Parmesan which was very tasty and satisfying. Service was great as well. My parents had asked the server a bunch of questions and he was very patient and answered the questions efficiently helping us decide what to order. I'm shocked by the high reviews for this place but there are also many lower reviews which make sense... the location of this restaurant is kind of good, near the beach literally across from Veterans Park. There is metered parking outside and the place has lots of seating inside and outside patio. The food is very MEH.... The mozzarella sticks just taste like frozen ones heated up in the oven, Caesar salad was just ok and very overly dressed.... The pomodoro was probably the best thing we ate here but that was also just meh and really didn't need the melted mozzarella on top.... The pizzas were both meh....the margherita was alright and the waitress recommended the ricotta with mushroom one as a best seller but it was so bland and just a mess of mushy ricotta with no taste... I've been meaning to try this place for a while and I'm so glad I did. We celebrated my daughter's confirmation there and even though our dinner started on the later side due to the ceremony ending at 8:45, the restaurant couldn't have been more accommodating. Every staff member we encountered was kind and cheerful. The food was delicious (our favorites were the meatballs, super saucy cacio e pepe, and the chicken parm with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus). Our group really enjoyed the pizza as well. I walked in on a Friday afternoon during lunch hour. The place was completely empty while two young ladies were at the bar handling glasses and utensils. I approached them, made eye contact and they continued working without acknowledging me. I stood by the bar for a minute or two when one of the young ladies asks if I'm there to pickup. I said I was dining in and she told me to pick where to sit. I took a seat and one of the young ladies came by with a menu and some water; she said she'd be back in a moment to take my order. 10 minutes later, she came back to take my order. I felt my wait was excessive as I was the only customer there. Not sure what made the wait so long. Nonetheless, I placed my order and thankfully everything came out in a nice timely manner. I started with the Nonna's meatballs, which were honestly so delicious! I wish it came with even one bit of bread so I could mop up the sauce with. Next, I dug into the Margherita pizza. The pizza too, was outstanding! I like a little kick with my 'za, so I had to get up and find my own red pepper flakes. I didn't see any Parmesan or oregano to add, so I assume they don't offer it. It seemed like it was just alcohol poured over ice, with no real flavor, no spice, and none of the ingredients that make a good spicy margarita. Tried this place the other day for lunch and it was a pleasant experience. I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro and added meatballs. It was delicious. The sauce tasted fresh and flavorful, definitely good quality tomatoes. The lady next to us had the bruschetta and it smelled so good. Definitely will be going back to try everything else. The only thing that was kind of a pain was the parking. They have a tiny parking lot in the back but they share it with another business so there's only like 4 stalls designated for the restaurant. Luckily it wasn't too crowded so we found metered parking nearby. But if it gets busy like in a Friday or Saturday night, might be a nightmare. LoZio is located in the same building where Pura Vita used to be. There's metered street parking, which can be inconvenient since they don't have their own lot. We came at a time when they weren't busy, so parking wasn't an issue for us. The front windows & doors were open, so it was breezy inside. We were greeted and told we could sit anywhere we'd like to. We chose to sit near the open windows. When you walk in, the bar is front and center. There are tables surrounding the bar and an outside area with a nice patio set-up. We came on a Sat. at around 12:30 and our server gave us several menus including one for brunch. After checking out the main menu, we decided to start with some Spicy Chicken Wings and put in the order while we decided on which pizza we wanted. We eventually chose and ordered the Spicy Antonio. We know wings take a while and pizza is pretty quick, but we hoped to have time to eat some wings before the pizza arrived. Nope. Both arrived within a few minutes of each other. I was a little disappointed. Pizza gets cold pretty quick, too! The wings were Spicy Italian Buffalo Wings. They were pretty tangy. They were okay, but we probably wouldn't order them again. We enjoyed the celery sticks and carrot sticks which we dipped in the Ranch Dressing. The pizza has a great crust. As for taste overall, the sauce and toppings were scrumptious. This pizza has a hint of honey, but I don't think I really noticed it. We added our own spicy hot honey we brought with us. I think it's a little to thin near the center because when you pick up your slice, it droops pretty sadly. It's better to handle if you fold it in half before taking a bite. I rarely hold a slice of pizza and eat it that way. I use a fork for my bites. As I loaded the tip of the pizza onto the fork, it just drooped. It wasn't at all crisp or sturdy. I couldn't even poke it with the tines. TIP: They offer a Gluten-Free pizza crust for $5 extra. Our server kept telling us how he liked certain items, but the more he talked about the menu, I got the feeling he liked just about everything the restaurant offers! These rave reviews are blow my mind - especially the quality of the food for the price point. I was excited when an Italian restaurant that made everything in house, including pasta, opened in my neighborhood. Ordered take out and was extremely disappointed to find that everything we order was gray and tasteless. I'm not sure how tomatoes in a caprese salad can have gray tinge but they were just as tasteless and mealy as you can imagine. The lasagna was some the worst I've ever had: everything was mushy and the sauce tasted like something no one bothered to season after they opened the can. The cacio e pepe was just chunks of black pepper and some soggy cracker type thing they're passing off as a parmesan chip. $80 later, the food went in the trash. Overall, this is a smaller restaurant with a large bar therefore the noise from adjacent seats is very loud when it's busy. It makes table conversation a challenge but it has a nice, lively energy and vibe. The Caprese salad was delicious., I highly recommend. Ciabatta is an added charge. The Carbonara wasn't great. Tastes like it was made with a milk cream and not the traditional recipe. I was disappointed. The Bolognese was ok, but lacked density and richness. We added a lot of Parm to bring out the flavor. We had to ask for Parm and they bring a small tin cup of it. I ordered the special. It was fair but the Branzino at Zane's is better. Amazing experience! Located across from Redondo Beach Pier, this place was easy to find. We were a group of 6 and strolled in around 8pm on a calm Sunday evening. We walked up to the host and were able to get seated right away on their outdoor patio. The atmosphere and ambiance were welcoming, modern, and very clean with a full bar as soon as you enter. Itsyarit was our server, my apologies if I spelled that wrong, and she was amazing! Very friendly, approachable, and offered great insight and recommendations from the menu. We learned the owners are Italian and import their flour and olive oil from Italy for a genuinely authentic experience. The menu, although simple, catered something for everyone's taste, starting with Fries, Mozzarella Sticks, and Cheese Pizza for the kids. I was craving a Caesar salad, which is what brought us here, and it was everything you'd expect with quality cheese and croutons. Our group went on to order Fried Calamari, a Caprese Salad, Spicy Penne Vodka with chicken, Pepperoni Pizza, Prosciutto e Rucola and Ricottina Pizzas (we did things "Family Style"). They have a limited beverage menu, so we were all satisfied with water served at the table. As for the alcoholic drinks, we ordered a Gin Sour and Lemon Drop Martini. The bartender was bartendering. The drinks were crafted so well, we were all amazed and had to get up and send our compliments! Never thought a drink could taste so exceptionally good and set a higher standard like it did at LoZio. Given this very long-winded review, dining here was an EXPERIENCE. A positive one filled with memories, family, and community. The prices are reflective of the quality and service. I've had Lozio's twice - dined in once and also got take out. Both times were good but dining in was better of course. We tried the pizza and chicken milanese. The pizza was delicious (especially the prosciutto and burrata pizza). Love that crust with a bite! The menu is large and the service was excellent. I'm glad this place opened and I'll definitely be back. The prices aren't cheap but it's similar to others in the area. read more
